Yeah like i said. Scalpers are not to be paid. Walmart sells the product for the people who own them they do the same with PC'S. 500$ for a fake computer
Cool, doesn't change that they are 1000 from most retailers and they are completely out of stock,

The new consoles at base retail are 500$ and 600$ for the best version. Scalpers are not to be paid
Here.
Forgot that Walmart isn't a reliable retailer.
Consoles are out of stock and are nearly 1000 dollars.

Hmmmm.
Yes, I agree, we should nerf Pig.

I think I'll do similar, with a subset of the data being about only the games where NOED procs and a separate figure being the number of games with NOED.
That would be good. I think that should also be tested.
That wasn't really the point of my experiment. My point was to see if cleansing all 5 totems as a Solo Q player is feasible and how often it happens.

Where is that data?
In a very scribbled and messy notebook.
Most of the matches where "No Proc" is indicated did not have NOED at all, but that wasn't really the point of my experiment.

@[Deleted User] said:
What about matches were noed was denied? some people only do bones if they suspect noed. But if they reveal 4 perks then there is no point
#16 and #23 I believe.
I counted 23 because it technically did proc, but someone was cleansing the Dull Totem as it became a Hex, luckily for us.
-
@Impose said:
On the ones you put "no proc" did you keep track of the ones that the killer was not running NOED?
Yes, I did.

No it's not sarcasm. If you use dead hard you suck at the game and need your little hand holdy perk. Same with people who run Ruin Undying on killers like Blight and Nurse
Then, quite frankly, you need a reality check.
"If you use X perk you suck."
Like, dude, that's just whining.

I would never consider a dead hard user on my skill level. So players worse then me ruin the fun for everyone and make sure it's Bubba Hours.
I hope this is sarcasm and/or being facetious.

I'd be all about the adjustments to killers to accompany solo queue. Solo queue is what this game was always based around. And its honestly the most respectable survivor players in this game period. Thats why information perks work the way they do. Sure killers like Nurse would make that mode nightmarish....but...she's always needed adjustments. The rest of the killer roster is already primed for play against solo survivors hence why they're so weak and underpowered against SWF teams, because they just weren't made with that kind of power creep in mind. Since they don't perform, you end up with nurse dominating the highest ranks because the only reason most survivors get there is through SWF teaming. AKA BEING BOOSTED!
It would still be better than our current system where balance is basically ignored in favor of appeasing larger crowds of SWF players to generate money on skins. Because for whatever reason, they don't have enough faith in their own art to believe it would sell at the same time as fixing their busted SWF concept.
But like I said at the end....its a dead dream right up there with console optimization.
Most Killers aren't built for Solo Q or SWF.
They are built for 2 Duo's.
Most Killers would need nerfs with your system.

There aren't many people here who have Survivor-biased opinions. Most of this Forum is either neutral or Killer-biased.

In a perfect world, there'd be seperate queues and
Solo would=Killer Ranked match
and SWF would>Killer Unranked Match. SWF would be its own random bullshit. Ah.....the dream....
Just Imagine 2 different killer queues, 2 different survivor queues.
Solo Survivor=Fully ranked and Vetted matches plus the game actually being balanced and patched around solo play making it finally fair for both sides.
SWF+Unpaired= Unranked matches where survivors could power creep as much as they wanted giving devs the liberty to ignore how unbalanced it is. Solo and SWF would be allowed in.
Killer Ranked Matches would only be vs Solo Survivors for all the glory and fame.
Killer Unranked Matches would only be vs SWF+Unpaired survivors and no ranks or MMR.
....The Dream....is probably dead if I'm being honest...sadly...
Nobody would play versus SWF willingly.
And Killers would need adjustments if they were only playing against Solo's
-
Feel better?
-
I disagree.
-
The title is correct.
It is not feasible to try to 3 hook everyone without tunneling when the players are of equal skill.
-
I play Solo Q just fine.
That being said, the balance has always been Solo < Killer < SWF
Solo needs buffs, but you don't HAVE to play SWF.

No. Binding of Kin, iirc, was the worst chapter in regards to bugs. BHVR has been pretty bad with putting out buggy chapters, but I don't think anything was nearly as bad as Binding of Kin.
Darkness Among Us and Resident Evil were on the same level or worse.

This!
They've taken our money for years and not delivered on promises like this:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/49456/status-update-optimization
Its way too soon to be making new promises for next gen upgrades when they've left us on last gen festering all this time.
At least give us a stable 30FPS, Hell even just any stable FPS would be a massive improvement!
We should also pour one out for the Switch players as that port is criminal to sell for money.
Yeah, the Switch players got ######### tbh
-
Yes.
I see more Steve and Nancy's than pretty much any other Survivor. At least two per day.
Also, I main Steve and Jonathan. :p

When will people realize that perception and FoV are design choices in games, they are not Quality of Life or accessibility.
Don't get me wrong I would love a higher FoV as a killer, but I also understand why they are not going to change it. How much you can see influences the information you have to make decisions on. It influences map design, where one can hide how wide the map is to slip by the killer, etc.
A lot of people want FoV sliders because super zoomed in FoV can make people really motion sick.
-
They can still get into a crossplay off match.
-
Well, I'm glad your matches are enjoyable.
Mine sure aren't, I'm pretty jealous.

at some point I wonder if all these bugs are gonna happen on next gen??
They will in time, yes.
We know these bugs have nothing to do with the power of the console's. That means they are issues with the game itself. It stands to reason that PC's and next-gen are brute forcing their way through these issues.
However, we also know that these things get exponentially worse over time. One need only look at the myriad of performance issues that recur seemingly every patch. This means that as more is added into the game, the load will continue to increase. This means that eventually, if nothing is done, even next-gen will be doomed.
I predict that we will see the Switch fall first, likely within the next year. Then I expect the base Xbox One/PS4 to see Resident Evil esque performance issues on a regular basis. Then we will start to see the issues we observed in 2017 on Xbox One/PS4 on the Series X and PS5 within the next 2-3 years.
Of course, this all assumes nothing is fixed.
-
Not me.
Because it's bad.
-
Not until they fix the systems that most people play on.
The majority use Xbox One/PS4 to play DBD. I certainly can't afford a $1000 console, even if I could find one in stock.
-
The idea is that it will be fixed.
Not having collision is unintended.

This is literally an hard drive issue. PS4 has HDD hard drive which is super slow and causes lags and stutters.
You can solve the problem by installing an SSD hard drive. The whole process takes a few minutes and it's incredibly easy. There's a lot videos on YT.
This has been disproven.
Every single one of my clips come from a Xbox One X with a SSD internal drive AND an external SSD.
99% sure this it

Oh! Can I make a list too?

I initially wasn't going to respond here but I absolutely have to highlight one of these points because oh my god-- a chapter release being really buggy is not a "false promise", it's just a chapter release being really buggy, that is by far the most stretched I've ever seen the definition of 'false promise' be for this community, and I've seen some doozies.
The misunderstanding of the Legion trailer is more along the lines of what I expected, I understand how people got there even if it's extremely uncharitable to call it a false promise, but the Twins chapter release? Bro.
I expected them to cite Console Optimization.

I just love me a killer requires zero skill in chase! Simply hook one survivor, and you're set to snowball the rest of the game for free! The survivor unhooks themself? No problem, the traps around the hook will go off! anyways!
Seriously, how this killer has been allowed to exist in this game so long is beyond any comprehension. At the very least, traps need to be disarmed whenever a survivor is unhooked. That is a reasonable change that would be a great start in the right direction.
BHVR, do something about Hag!!!
You could make the same argument about Leatherface.
He only needs a single down to snowball the entire game.
-
There are few things I hate more than K-Pop and Trickster is one of them.
-
Vigil just isn't that good.
-
All the teams not responsible for balance (and whoever decided NFT's were the way to go) are exceptional.
-
I'd need Trapper's traps to have a big glowing arrow pointing wherever they are.
Maybe then my anxiety with Trapper can receed.

More mid to low tier killer nerfs (Ghostface and Legion are more or less confirmed to be victims). New killers that are mid to low. Powerful survvor perks that are neglected in favor of DS/Borrowed/Unbreakable/Dead Hard. Window vault validation. No BP events. Performance issues. Killer bugs ignored. Survivor bugs hot fixed.
Many call the Bodhisattva clairvoyant. You shall learn the truth yourself with time.
I absolutely believe they can nerf Ghostface, but I do not know how they could make Legion worse.

I was talking with my friend whilst playing very casually yesterday, here was our conversation.
Me: sigh
Him: You got your first "#########" message, didn'tyou?
Me: Yep.
Stay classy DBD players.

They somehow made the freeze that lithe gave worst even tho they specially made changes to remove the freeze.
having the chain have a lag spike is not only worst but detrimental to playing him.
and the worst of them all, ruin having a bug that if it can happen in any game completely destroys the perk and i hope it was a one time thing.
Yeah, I hope so too.
Who knows how many times that Ruin bug happens when people can't see it.
-
I am sorry you feel that way.
I play mostly Survivor these days as well. I put in way less effort, am way less stressed and I almost never get told to kill myself, which is a nice bonus.

everytime time someone says killers have it so bad right now, I just want to direct them to videos of dbd in 2016. We literally had 2 windows on killer shack, 2 window vaults at cow shed, nearly every junk tile had 2 pallets 20ft away from each other, we had literal infinites loops where you would never catch a survivor running it unless they literally stopped moving because the set up was horrendous and we had no blood lust. And yeah you could say "oh but you had instant moris!!!" Yes. We did. We also had instant gens. You could load into a game, and 20 seconds later hear 4 gens pop because the survivors each brought a brand new part that literally did 100% of the gen progress just by tapping a button. The state of being a killer in the game today is FAR FAR FAR from the worst it has been. It's infact in one of the best states it has ever been in. You doomsayers have no clue what you're talking about in the slightest.
To be fair, Survivors were also dumb back then. If you put an average Survivor (me) in 2016 DBD, they'd never go down.
-
Worse.

I'm five.

Yeah, DC'ing isn't allowed.

Blessing a totem does not even take a stack from Thrill of the Hunt, for some reason.
But to answer your question, no it isn't refunded.
-
@Brokenbones said:
There's some inconsistancies I want to mention/ask about
- Blessing a Haunted Grounds totem does indeed trigger it
- Does snuffing a blessed totem refund the missing Thrill stack?
- Can someone remind me how NOED works with Boons, if you snuff a Boon and all the gens are already done, does NOED not trigger?
- Already changed that.
- I have no idea, I can try to test this.
- NOED can only trigger as the final gen pops. If there is no available totem, it will not proc, even if one becomes available afterwards.

Have you tried Doom 2016 on the Switch? The game has 0 lag. You know why? Because ID Software knows how to program games.
BHVR does not.
Hard to swallow the pill but that's the truth lol
Doom (2016) gets 30 FPS on the Switch.
DBD gets....some FPS on the Switch.
