The answer is yes.
Killer is extremely stressful when all players in the match know what they are doing. This causes players to burn out fast.
There is no argument.

She can still hit through walls, which puts her above doc just with that. It's weird you say she gets obliterated at loops because when a survivor tries to hold foward against me I usually get a free M1. Idk man you must be really good with doc or just bad as artist.
I'm not good with Doc.
She can hit through walls unreliably. As soon as Survivors start repelling crows, you have no aura-reading.
You can get an M1, sure, but that still puts her below A-tier.

pretty sure u can 3 hook everyone at any MMR, just play nurse or blight 😉
Blight, no. Nurse, yes.

There is nothing doctor-like about this.
Oh look, that's not a crossmap snipe.
Her strength is comparable to Doctor.
She gets obliterated at loops because the counter is to run away otherwise she gets a free hit. She has the ability to do something like that, but let's be real, that Survivor didn't seem very good.

They both have some great tracking, but her zoning and lethality is far superior from both short and long range. I would not compare them at all.
Tbh, I think Doc has better anti-loop but she has better tracking.
She gets slowed too much when placing birds.

Last time I checked doctor can't do crossmap snipes through walls but hey she's my favorite killer so if she keeps getting called weak I don't mind it, all the more kills for me.
No Survivor worth their salt is going to get crossmap sniped lmao

@Fantasy said:
I play her fine without it, it might push her over the edge and make her overperform if they did this. I think using verticality is fair counterplay. She's still very strong.
Disagree.
She's the same power level as Doc, just harder to use.

Again I never said you can’t play to win, all I said is you don’t have to tunnel to win. Please stop replying if you’re just gonna throw things out there I’ve not said.
If the Survivors are of equal skill to you (and you aren't bad because the balance changes drastically at low MMR) you DO need to tunnel or camp to win UNLESS the Survivors are below your skill level.

Where did I say you should be 3 hooking and alternate on survivors?
"If you think tunneling is the only way to get kills then sorry but you just don’t know how to play the game well."
As soon as you meet Survivors who are any good, you have to make the decision to either play "nice" or play to win. Neither is the wrong answer.

I agree with everything you have said
SWF is clearly cheating, and that may sound wierd but it is. Comms were never supposed to be a thing. But seen as it is a thing. Can we get 2 killers and 8 survivors as normal dbd so killers can have comms? Survs have to do 10 gens aswell
Here.
This is from 2.5 years ago. This is not something new.

If you think tunneling is the only way to get kills then sorry but you just don’t know how to play the game well.
And because you keep tunnelling/camping you also aren’t going to improve at the game so you will stay stuck with this notion
You cannot 3-hook everyone whilst alternating hooked Survivors at any MMR above the lowest. The game simply isn't built that way.
If you are three-hooking everyone while also not tunneling, you aren't in the correct skill bracket.

Most people come back after they realize there is no better alternative to DBD.
You have a better shot at quitting since you're extremely new and aren't affected by the sunk-cost fallacy yet.
-
I don't think she's necessarily weaker than Doctor, but she basically gets the same effect.
They both have really good tracking. They both have okay anti-loop. Artist's birds just take more skill than Doc's Shock but give you basically the same effect.

camping would be so powerful and it'll only be a cycle of hooks one after another with minimal effort from the killer, so i disagree. dont understand why people still got a problem with this perk.
Because it's supposed to stop tunneling and prevent farming.
You aren't supposed to be taking hits with this perk OR FORCING THE KILLER TO HIT YOU. You shouldn't be using it offensively.

It could possibly take the form of a survivor that's already in the trial, (which it could switch appearances to any of them once in game) and even appear to repair generators with others. XD
Well, then it's going to be a weak Killer.

The implementation is so anti-fun. It's not intended to consistently match players with teammates and opponents of equal skill. It's meant to ensure that you lose 50% of your games by any means necessary.
If that means putting you with brand spanking new 10 hour teammates, it will do that. If it means putting you against hacker survivors with statistically impossible personal metrics, it will do that.
It reeks of a mandate and power through by higher ups who have no understanding of the game itself.
Without fail, if my SWF duo friend and I escape two games in a row or so, we get matched with default cosmetic teammates who can barely function. This has been consistent for weeks and it makes us not want to play. Our MMR is likely pretty high. We go against very well known fog whisperers, 6k+ hr killers. It feels like we're having our win rate manipulated by the matchmaking system.
I feel the same.
As Killer, it doesn't really matter. I get matched with the same teams for most of my time. Is it fun? No. Do I 4K more often than not? Yes.
As Survivor though, I see exactly what you are saying. Two good games. Decent teammates, an okay Killer and a fun match. After a bit though, we get teammates with
about that much time....
Killer was one of my friends with 4000 hours. Me and my duo teammate had 3000 each.

This is a killer forum. That’s not a problem. The problem is when a noed camper killer rank up and find a semi good SWF. Then he came to cry here because he can’t 4k
Why are you even trying to make this an us vs them thing?
Nobody even INSINUATED something about a Killer problem or Survivor problem. They brought up legitimate concerns.

Id rather last 1 min+ in chase with 1 hit than go down in 10 seconds with 2 hits.
Honestly, if you can go down in 10 seconds in two hits....that's respectable because I'm pretty sure running in a straight line after getting hits gives you ~20 seconds.
Also, I'm not specifically talking about you. If you want to be a god looper with No Mither, go for it. You'd be better without it, but if you're still good with it, who cares.
If you're average without it, you'll be AWFUL with it and a huge detriment to your team.

@Marigoria said:

Sure you can encourage people to run no mither, the only person who gets a harder game is me who is using no mither, which is the challenge I was looking for because it encourages me to try to do my best at looping and try to improve, making chases more difficult for me, but not impossible.
I don't think these sweaty blights and nurses on crossplay off on pc are really bothered with "unfair matches for the killer", since from my experience people in crossplay off are looking for something more challenging, that's why most people play with their best meta perks and you see so many nurses and blights.
I don't think it's that deep. No mither is meant to be a challenging perk, or a meme depending on how you want to use it. I think the only change it needs it's not being obvious that you have it, so killers actually slug you since they are unaware you're using it.
"The only person who gets a harder game is me who is using no mither."
Yeah, definitely not your teammates who now have someone who goes down in one hit instead of two. If No Mither is a detriment to you, it also hurts your team.
That IS how team-based games work. The actions of one affect the others.

I think the people who are killing our hope of escaping are the ones who go down in 2 seconds and dont do gens or go for saves, not the ones who can loop, do gens and go for saves and use no mither.
How would I feel? Good for them, as long as it isn't a Oni and they aren't useless I'm fine with them using no mither. Id rather have a no mither team mate than a self care team mate.
Well, good for you.
I'd encourage everyone to run No Mither as a Killer player. That would make my job way easier.
Unfortunately, your choice to run, objectively, a perk that makes the game SIGNIFICANTLY harder for everyone results in people getting stuck in their MMR-range and also likely results in you being in the incorrect skill bracket, which is unfair for the Killer.
No Mither is an extremely unhealthy perk and it needs a change, give it a use and I won't be as pissed.

What? I just said I don't play toxic at all. So i'm guessing no mither is toxic now too? damn I guess you cant run anything these days or killers might get offended.
I never said it was toxic.
It's just a dick move to run it in Solo Q because you've basically just killed people's hope of escaping.
How would you feel if YOU saw someone with No Mither in Solo Q? I know how I feel and good is pretty much the opposite of how I feel.
-
I wouldn't go out of my way to be toxic, but I wouldn't encourage it.
Basically, I'd tunnel whoever uses it out if I had the chance, hopefully getting them to be a better teammate by realizing No Mither is a bad perk

They don't have to be on top of the totem when it's blessed. It takes 14s to bless the totem. Nothing more.
It takes 3s to then snuff the totem at any time. Nothing less.
So, if I'm holding a 3-gen in Preschool on Badham, but CoH is in shack, it should only take me three seconds to snuff the boon.
Dumb argument tbh.

With the strat of 1 crow into shotgun it gets pretty hard to avoid her attacks, and for far away shots you can use one crow and the follow up with another one (or 3) to get the hit. Those 2 strats and some gen slow down perks are carrying my games
No good Survivor is going to get hit by a long range bird.
The shotgun approach slows you down a TON and puts your power on a long cooldown. It's more difficult to avoid, but not impossible.
She's okay in chase, has really good info, but zero map control.
B-tier and that's pushing it.

Solo queue is like a box a chocolate, you never know what your going to get.
If i see that the survivor can really loop like this quentin, I would continue doing gens. But i can understand if there are only 2 survs and both are hiding if everyone can't loop the killer for too long.
You're either going to get chocolate or ######### disguised as chocolate.

To add to this/clarify, DCing is NOT a reportable offense. So you reporting them does nothing but slows down legit tickets because there is a built-in penalty to DCing as Lycidas states and therefore if someone DCs, they've already been punished per BHVR rules.
They really should just edit the text in the report screen to clarify.

Out of curiosity, if feedback is being listened to, passed on and acted on, what is being done about the hacker problem on DBD and what is being done about console optimization? There is a new cheat program running around that has not been dealt with, and the problems regarding console have not been truly addressed for years, despite many, many complaints and popular topics from users like @Pulsar .
To be fair, new issues that crop up are addressed.
The issue is that we still haven't gotten confirmation either way on 60 FPS.

I think that just means your connection is bad.

It's easy to say and nearly impossible to execute.
For example, last night I had a string of TTV premades that I had absolutely no chance against and who made absolutely sure I knew how much I sucked by sitting in the exit gates flicking their flashlights and being jerks in postgame.
I go to bed, wake up and encounter another TTV premade who basically stall the game out at 1 gen remaining - just sabos/bodyblocks/heals and otherwise just runs around me teabagging. After 30 minutes I go AFK, and get told that I'm being reported for 'non participation' in postgame.
Right now, there seems to be a huge lack of killers at high MMRs, meaning that once a 4man waits for a few minutes I'll get thrown to them as a snack. Best of all, as per the developer comments yesterday, this doesn't decrease my MMR - so it can happen again and again and again.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to extract fun from that.
Where were those comments?
