A dark souls character.
Preferably an invader/traitor for the killer and one of the machinery using characters for the survivor.
Imagine "The Forlorn"(DS2's main invader) or "Knight of Thorns" (Kirk) being the killer chasing the survivors to rip out their humanity.
Meanwhile The Bearer of the Curse/True Monarch(DS2 protag/Their true ending title) or for an odd ball survivor choice Patches being the survivor as both are shown to be able to work well with advanced machinery.
Just imagine of Patches has a BBQ/WGLF BP multiplier but gains stacks for destroying totems.
Both to piss off players and the fact Patches would hate the Entity and would use a mocking voice line when successfully breaking hexes.
I'll take a Darkwraith using the Dark Hand as a Killer pls

Play with your food would still be instantly better it can't be destroyed.
You also still have to find and lose chase with your Obsession 2 times to get the same benefit.

On most Killers? Maybe not? It depends.
On 110% Killers? Almost certainly. Pretty sure that turns any pallet into an unsafe one versus Huntress.

Thats fair. Tbh im like this because of years of abuse. I reckon most couldnt deal with what i went thru. Kinda gives you perspective when people on the internet talks like that. Cause ya know, someone did actually almost end my life. But i hope you dont let it define you anymore.
I'm sure it does give you perspective and I am sorry that you had to go through that.

I completely disregard what they say after having a laugh about it. Never take what they say seriously.
Not everyone can do that.
I'd wager that most people can't do that.

Actually that's often the fun part. It's hilarious watching 4 ppl beating their collective heads against a brick wall.
Before I blocked all communication from people who weren't on my friends list, I had messages like these literally every other game.
It weighs on you, hearing such horrible things day after day. You start to wonder if it's true. I struggled a lot with it, but I eventually made the decision to cut off all contact from the DBD community except for the Forums and my friends.
I can't blame people who don't find it fun.

Difference between trying and trying superhard
Most people don't enjoy losing when they get taunted for it.
If people were better sports, less people would care about winning.

Just throw your games lmao

There's that unfathomable pessimism I expect from a true DBD player. People like you will be the ones I laugh right in the face of WHEN it happens. I'm not saying it will happen soon, but WHEN it does....the busted out laughter shall begin. FNAF has more brownie points than you give it credit for and it certainly could easily fit into DBD whether people like you want it to or not.
I'm sure the minority groups who are likely going to be upsst will be very appreciative of you laughing.

Hmmm.
That was like 2 years after I started playing, maybe a year and a half.
Great way to get gen grabs.

Generally, companies ban in waves.
They essentially collect reports and compile a list, then suddenly a bunch of accounts get banned in one go.
This is generally done to catch more people, and delay development/refinement of a new obfuscation tool to block detection. The second they start banning people, the hack is marked as 'detected' and then modifed.
Yeah, it sucks to run into hackers. But - and this may help - it looks like BHVR are MAC banning people (if a thread a bit back was to be believed), meaning that once they get banned, they won't be back unless they buy a new PC.
Don't worry - they'll get theirs.
It's been almost 6 months since I reported an obvious hacker. The other people in-game were trying to help me grab him, but we couldn't do it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRs4UWqIRKU&ab_channel=PulsarGaming360Checked his profile a week ago and he still hasn't been banned. I stopped reporting people, it doesn't really seem to do much for me.

Oof.

why does an unbalanced party game like dbd have MMR in the first place lol
clearly no one likes it or wanted it in the first place
plenty of people wanted it. hell, i'd even say a majority of people wanted it
unfortunately, they all assumed that it couldn't possibly be worse than the old matchmaker with rainbow ranks.
it was.

A bunch of people who haven't made a single valid point to dispute mine don't actually make a collective of suggestions that amount to anything. The only thing I've seen on this thread is the following.
"it will kill the game because it will ruin pvp" - it won't because the pvp aspect has never depended on SWF and still doesn't.
Okay.
You aren't arguing in good faith. I apologize for falling for the bait.
I'mma head out

Weird, have you secured a kill or two every match, or let four players escape? I heard sometime 1k can raise your MMR.
It's been a while now.
I don't really remember. I'm pretty sure I didn't kill anyone at all, but I could be wrong. I was trying my best but Nurse on Xbox One is actual hell.

Umm SWF isn't the only pvp aspect of this game, it isn't even a main aspect of pvp. It's not pvp at all. The pvp part is players vs killer. The players playing together has nothing to do with the pvp aspect of the game.
I'm going to respectfully ask that you check your biases.
Nobody has agreed with you. What you've proposed has been shown and demonstrated to be a terrible idea. If you actualIy want to improve the game, you need to go back to the drawing board.

How, at 20 lose in a row mark you should match against someone who don't know what the sprint is.
I thought so too.
Didn't really work out that way, I would've much rather played against bots

I'm not a new player, and I personally have not experienced issues with SWFs, I'm simply stating what I know would be a vast improvement to a very dismal aspect of this game. And btw this isn't a standard pvp game, this is an asymmetric pvp, it's quite a bit different. And furthermore the way this game was designed it wasn't setup for playing with friends. Which is why you don't start out with 4 survivors from the same town or even the same horror story, they're designed to be loners with a common goal, not 4 friends trying to beat 1 enemy.
Multiplayer is multiplayer. If this game gets rid of being able to play with your friends, it will die. So, if you want to kill it, be my guest.
Also, the Devs have literally said that SWF is an intended feature.

If that is the only thing keeping this game alive, then it's a bad game, flat out. Because what you've just stated is that a mode that is inherently designed to circumvent standard play is the only thing keeping this game alive.
News flash.
The ability to play with your friends is the only thing keeping a lot of games alive. That's kind of the whole premise of MULTIplayer games. I know a lot of people, myself included, that only play DBD because of our friends.
All of your suggestions are commonly expressed by newer players. I can give you some tips and tricks to better deal with certain situations, if you like.
-
Imagine suggesting something that would kill the game instantly.
Removing people's ability to play with their friends would destroy this game.
-
Just because I went on a 100 game 4K streak with Legion doesn't mean he's strong.
-
I have 69 on Ghostface.
-
Agreed.
Also, yes, if you Boon Haunted, it activates the perk ergo it uses up Haunted.
-
Just because one thing is unbalanced doesn't mean I can't point out other areas that need work.

Demo is absolutely bugged right now.
I've played three matches to check, and the problems were fairly consistent across the board:
- Trying to shed will often result in a half-lunge M1
- Trying to let go of Shed will often result in getting stuck in the "hold Shred" animation
- Trying to cancel Shred into M1 will sinister always result in letting go of Shred, no M1 included.
- Portals are being very selective over where they will allow themselves to be placed, to the point of going through the entire animation, with no portal spawning at the end.
- The Shred daily, as many know, is not completing properly. I'm fact, it is retaining no progress whatsoever!
I knew something was wrong when i watched my buddy play him

Yes, for short term gains, you can try to piss off the killer and try to get them to follow you
After my game last night and experiencing it once again, I am strongly considering quitting the game (I will likely fail at this as I have many times in the past). If I do manage to finally pry myself away from the S show that is playing killer in this game, I hope it was worth it to win your one game losing yet another killer in a long line of killers abandoning the game...

I'd say Slender has a better chance than FNAF, so long as BHVR isn't completely tone-deaf, which considering the NFT's....
-
@adam1233467 said:
it won't be, mathieu cote already said in an interview that he won't put slenderman because he doesn't want to ruin the nature of the character, slenderman doesn't hit anyone, he doesn't walk, and much less will he pick up a survivor from the ground, unfortunately
Sadako didn't really do those things either.
She never hit anyone, she doesn't really walk she crawls and she doesn't physically pick up Survivors either.

On the flipside, what's @Pulsar 's opinion on this topic?
It's clearly a relic from a time when the game was still more hide n seek than gen simulator.
As such, I do not think having a Stalk cap is necessary in this era. Maybe have every Survivors Evil reset when Michael de-tiers from III to II.

I don't disagree. I'm simply stating that the "operation health" which people are asking for, which is months without content, will never happen. Bug fixes sure possible. Behavior does more, we'll see doubtful, because it takes a hot minute to get updates out to Console.
Siege was on Console too and they still managed it.

I mean, you could take time to understand, depending on the bug, it's not always a snap of your fingers fix; there's a lot that goes into this sorta thing. Before someone hands me this "but others games" most other games run on a different engine, weren't built by amateurs, no disrespect to Behavior, but even they admitted DBD wasn't expected to go anywhere, meaning the coding behind it is 100% all over the place.
Once you take this into account you'll realize they are getting better at fixing bugs and the Killswitch was added which 100% was a great addition to the game to stop the abuse of buggy perks/maps and Killers. While there's certainly more they can do understand what they've done so far is leagues better compared to how things were.
BHVR's updates need to be more frequent.
Changing 5 perks, adding number adjustments to Killers and bugfixes every 6 weeks isn't good enough anymore. The game is far too large for that to be viable.
-
Oh, yeah. CoH is a dead perk since it totally got nerfed so hard twice.
Lmao. Except, I'm not laughing.
But...
I do agree with a lot of your other points.
-
Yeah, I had similar games a few months ago.

tbf, there's always bug fixes on mid-chapters as well. So it's more like 1.5 months. Still slow.
My apologies.
24 bug fixes every three months in a best-case scenario.
-
It works far better than it used to.
It's definitely lower on the priority list than some other perks.
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
2 bugs? Were you asleep for the Onyro chapter where they fixed like a dozen bugs, which normally that list is a lot smaller?
Also, it's been said several times Behavior isn't planning to divert away from releasing Content, but they are bug fixing in the meantime.
12 bugs every 3 months isn't really an acceptable rate.
-
And here I thought we were gonna talk about Legion :(
-
Old Billy and old Fog.
Old Rank System wouldn't improve things and the others can stay in the past.

If there's 50k people on at max peak during the day, that means there are tens of thousands of people dropping in/out on an hourly basis...It's obviously not the same people logged in consistently.
Console probably still outweighs them, though, as it has been given away on XBL, Game Pass, PS+, etc...
EGS is probably the lowest of the two (despite the giveaway), given the brief window it was available for free.
I don't think DBD was ever a Games With Gold game but it was given out for free on PS4.
-
I think that means Steam players make up like 5% of the total playerbase.
That seems a little suspicious.
-
To The Police fan at BHVR, respect.
I also liked Ghost in the Machine, Spirits in the Material World was underrated.
-
To be fair, that's like one update.
...maybe that's the issue.
-
This is false.
