Because it's a pretty heavy knock to Solos. That's really my own major issue with it, so far.
There's also quite a few people upset that their favorite toys got nerfed.

Ok so you do think its ok to "quit" against the killer in the same way I supposedly think its ok to "quit" against the killer by making a risky play with little potential success. I'm glad we see eye to eye.
Welcome back to the mud.
That was never my point.
My point was that your advice was to literally quit if you didn't like how she played.
I pointed it out. That's all.

No. That isn't required. The original statement was said to a dev, and the devs have access to the data.
Besides, this isn't anything that people (besides you) even argue about. Dead hard was the most popular exhaustion perk in my games by a lot, and I'm sure that at the mid to high MMR range, it was definitively the most popular exhaustion perk. Unless you want to provide a counter argument, by claiming some other exhaustion perk was more popular, then you're not even attempting to make a good faith argument.
So you can say whatever you want and paint it as undisputable fact whilst never offering any proof?
I'll have to try that out.

No I said if you are not happy about a lack of interaction in a game then you can try and force that interaction.
It may not be the best play though as it will probably contain a high level of risk and if you fail you will probably die, but there is no need to be upset about that because you can move on to the next game safe in the knowledge that at least you gave it a good go.
That is very different from just throwing the game and quitting or sitting around moaning about how the game has no interaction.
If you never try a risky play because you feel its throwing the game and no better than quitting, then that's a real shame because risky plays can sometimes be the most fun and rewarding.
Both of you have misinterpreted this as throwing the game, which is a lil baffling. I'm curious are you both very risk averse?
Also Pulsar when I mentioned about changing up and forcing interaction with the killer even if it may not pay off you jumped on me about "literally" telling people to quit. Which by now I have hopefully demonstrated is not the point.
But I find it interesting you haven't said anything to the poster who quite literally admits to quitting outright against the skull collector. See below...

I don't remember the last time I tried to play against her
I always kill myself on hook against her
I'm not going to assume this means that you condone this behaviour in the same manner that you've assumed my point about trying some kind of interaction to be throwing the game. Maybe you didn't see it. However...
When coupled with comments like this one below it does make me want to ask... do you condone outright quitting against the skull merchant?... and if so, how does that give you licence to criticize my suggestion that even a potentially fruitless risky interaction is better than no interaction at all when it comes to gameplay?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3407090#Comment_3407090
I'm guessing this is just a throw away comment made in jest much like a lot of my own comments but you've taken a bit of a high horse with respect to my suggestion about forcing interaction and I'm just inviting you down off your pedestal to join the rest of us back in the mud.
If SM wants to hold the game hostage, I would say it is fine to kobe off of hook. She is intentionally abusing game mechanics without progressing the match, those players are breaking the rules and should be reported.
If it's just a SM and people quit, then that's just entitlement.

1) I'm saying the DH nerf wasn't a meaningful nerf, if the perk goes from the #1 exhaustion perk, to the #1 exhaustion perk.
2) So you're basically saying DH was most likely the most popular exhaustion perk, but you're just arguing for the sake of arguing? Do you think truth only exists if people can prove it?
I'm saying that if you are using a figure as the main backing point for your argument, you'd better be able to prove it.

Dead Hard went from being the #1 exhaustion perk, to being the #1 exhaustion perk. That's hardly meaningful, and the perk just replaced one awful problem (invulnerable dash) with another awful problem (endurance that tanks a hit and gives a speed burst).
Which exhaustion perk do you think, a month ago, was more popular than dead hard? Are you really trying to tell us that maybe lithe was more popular, and there's just no way on earth to know because we don't have official stats?
You think DH was buffed during 6.1.0? Really, are you sure that's what you want to go with?
I also didn't say that I didn't think you were correct. I said that you were basing your arguments of off completely anecdotal evidence.
-
In the hypothetical and extremely unrealistic scenario where there are four perfect Solo Q Survivors and one perfect Ghostface, yes, the Survivors will probably win that match.
In a realistic scenario, no. Not even close to being Survivor-sided. Even most SWF's will get stomped by a half-competent Killer.
-
That's about how it goes for Solo Q.
I don't really think it'll get better, if anything, it'll probably get worse for a bit here and then stabilize in a month or two.
-
How do you separate review bombing from people who genuinely think the game is in a bad spot?
I just looked on Steam, there's like 10K negative reviews recently.
People aren't happy with the recent changes, what else are they supposed to do other than not play and voice their discontent?
-
Hopefully not.
I don't think the Kill Rates need to go any higher right now.
-
"There is a high chance you'll go down but then the game ends and you can move on."
Quoting you directly.
Throw the game so you can die and go next. That's exactly what you said.

The main issue is that dead hard was supposed to have been nerfed in the 1st meta shakeup, and we had a few weeks where I didn't see it much at all, and then it went back to being the #1 exhaustion perk in my games, by a huge margin. And nothing was done about it, and everyone had to wait a year for the 2nd meta shakeup.
And now dead hard was nerfed again during the 2nd meta shakeup, but we aren't sure if this will be the same situation, where after a few weeks, the dead hard usage might rise again. And this is a major concern, because if the dead hard usage rises again, will anything be done about it, or will everyone need to wait a year for the 3rd meta shakeup?
Dead Hard was nerfed in the first meta shakeup.
Also, your evidence is completely anecdotal. We don't know how often DH was used post meta shakeup, I think.

well yeah... if you just bolt in a straight line to the far side of the map then no she won't chase you, you gotta play around the 3 gen. Expecting her chase away from the advantageous position is a fools errand.
There is a high chance you'll go down but then the game ends and you can move on.
What kind of fool is sitting in a 40 min game grumping about the 40 min game. Get in there and mix it up and if you fail and die then move on to a new game.
"Literally throw the game if you don't like it"
-
Kinda get it.
I escaped once as Survivor because a Legion accepted my medkit offering and allowed me to leave. I think I played 5 games yesterday.
As Killer, literally zero challenge even when I wasn't trying. Very boring and disappointing.
-
I'd rather go against DH, especially now lol
No Exhaustion perks during the first chase? Easily baited out on the 2nd chase? Can't do that with SB
-
@pseudechis said:
So more and longer DBD is a bad thing?
Same way chases are the most fun part of the game but getting chased all game, aka tunneled, is a bad thing?
The same way sitting on gens all game is boring but not hyperfocusing on the objective and doing anything but sitting on gens all game is letting the team down?
The same way trying to achieve you own objective by any means is good but when your opponent does it its sweaty and bad?
The same way bringing the best perks yourself is good play but not the same as your sweaty take it too serious opponent who brought the best perks because they're bad?
The same way laying on ground for four mins is too long and bad but waiting out the endgame timer till the very last second for three mins is ok time use?
The same way that getting eliminated early is bad but having to stay in game for too long is also bad and pretty much any scenario in between?
This community is interesting sometimes, they really hate this game, they hate playing it, they hate investing time into it, they hate everyone else who plays it, they hate anything that might happen in game... yet they keep playing it. Its fascinating.
Acting like she chases you lol
"Do gen, get hit, SM kicks gen, places drone, you go reset with another Survivor, gen regresses" repeat for an hour.

Are we seriously complaining about Lithe, Head-On, Smash Hit, Background Player, Balanced Landing, Overcome, DH and SB.
You cannot honestly think these perks are a problem.
Haven't seen a successful DH since the patch. CoH is kinda bad now, people may not have figured out how to use it.
PR is extremely good. But yes, Overbrine was rightfully annihilated.
-
BW Rework is good.
I would really like a toggle feature for the auto-buy tho. If there's any chance of further development on that

-
I haven't noticed it on other maps, but on stream I saw that Blood Lodge had a LOT of pallets on one side

Ok you’re actually good though. The survivors were potato tho but you’re good.
great game sense as well, knowing when to use your PR, you adapt quick.
also since you’re on Xbox we should make a SWF sometime
See, I might be a good Killer.
That skill came at a cost. My Survivor is the worst.

https://www.twitch.tv/pulsargaming1080/v/1799116608?sr=a&t=8sYou can watch me mess around and be meme-y. I stopped being serious in the first game and the rest of the games were disappointing.
Nobody really struck me as being super good, especially when I wasn't even sweating.
-
I mean, I wouldn't MIND if BNP's were removed.
In games where there are BNP's I've noticed, I do better. Completely anecdotal, but I don't think they are a huge issue at this time.
Perhaps my mind will change as the meta develops, but for now, I don't have too much of an issue with them.

It has to be on purpose at this point, right?
-
holy ######### that's bad.
BHVR, I am willing to re-write her lore for free.
-
I also agree, I suppose. I don't have that much of an issue with DC'ing, but that's probably because of the Era of DBD that I joined in.
I am gonna say though. We had two people DC against a Nurse last night after she took us to Midwich and downed someone in like 20 seconds. I don't condone that, but I get why they'd want out of that.
I know for a fact one of them just shut his Xbox off and went to bed 😂

I used to stream, unfortunately, some people decided to make sure I don't do that anymore.
Not every game is easy, even though I play to win. However, I don't think I've had anyone escape through the gates since the update.
Honestly, it's probably got something to do with the fact that I'll likely have more hours than whoever I'm playing against 😅

What exactly is the reason you find these perks particularly annoying about? You guys hate boil over, dead hard, sprint burst, fearmonger and franklin's demise the most.
Boil Over is one of the most bullshit feel-bad perks.
It literally only affects Console players and it can be damn near impossible to hook people using it. It's one of the worst designed perks and it should be reworked completely.
If I were any saltier, I'd say it was cheating. It's the one perk that I'll be upset about seeing.
-
Skull Merchant has recently replaced Legion for me.
-
It's been fairly easier, unfortunately.
PR is REALLY good. No Way Out is practically a free win.
I've seen a couple of CoH. They haven't really been an issue for me, which is pretty much what I thought. I haven't seen any successful DH's yet.
Survivor has become a bit more miserable for me. Less healing autonomy so I have to rely on my teammates more, which is never a good thing lol
-
I've seen it as well. Both as Killer and Survivor.
I think there's something up with the servers.
-
I've played three games tonight.
One was against a Legion with 15 hours.
Next was against a streamer playing Nurse. Took us to Midwich and that was that.
Last one was against a Skull Merchant doing the tried and true 3-gen strat.
Honestly, we probably could've won against the Dull Merchant but I guess nobody felt like sticking around for an hour.
-
Just had a Nurse send us to Midwich.
Very enjoyable experience tbh. The match was over in 15 seconds, way more preferable than the hour long Dull Merchant games.

I'm talking about hypotheticals with competent survivors in average solo queue match killer will have advantage with how relaxed matchmaker nowadays
Okay, so the game isn't actually Survivor-sided, it's hypothetically Survivor-sided

So then how often do Survivors escape
-
I think that the Speed add-ons on their own are fine. I don't think they should stack though.
C33 and Alc Ring have to go.

Eh, honestly, I have worse messages saved somewhere.

The idea you're trying to get to his to have Autodidact guarantee at least 1 skill check per heal.
However, you insulted C3, therefore, I sentence you to Solo Q for all eternity.
-
Father Campbell's Chapel God Window when it is facing the Jungle-Gym into Shack set-up.
-
I feel like it's fine.
I wouldn't mind if it went to 75%, but I haven't found it to be an issue for me, yet. Perhaps something will change my mind.
The patch, after all, hasn't even been out for 24 hours.
-
That seems like my average Solo Q game, yeah.
It's either that or nobody gets hooked. There's zero in-between.
