No? What makes you say that? Differing levels of strength is fine. It just shouldn’t be as excessive as it is now on the lower end. If the majority of killers are around Wesker’s level of strength, that would be fine. That does not mean stronger isn’t okay. Some abilities will just naturally have a higher potential strength due to the ability itself.
So why shouldn't all Killers be on Nurse or Blights level?

I don’t think blight is the issue of the streak. I would argue it’s more tunneling, and maybe even more so matchmaking. I saw many of the games, and he would still get potatoes for survivors.
How would you balance blight for the top end without affecting the average?
That's the trick isn't it? How do you make him a little weaker on the upper-end while not affecting him on the lower-end.
I think you could adjust his addons and wait. It's entirely possible that Blight would be perfectly balanced without addons. I'd rather mess with his already too good addons than touch his basekit.
So I figure, get rid of Alc Ring, nerf C33 and don't let the speed addons stack. I think that would be a fine way to leave him for a couple months and see what happens.

The average survivors don’t ever play against an opponent this skilled as anything more than a statistical hyper minority either, what’s your point?
On the contrary, I think it's FAR more likely for an average Survivor to play someone like Momo than it is for someone like Zaka or Knightlight to match against him.
There's simply MORE average Survivors and the matchmaker will always prioritize speed over accuracy.

I still don’t agree though? Nurse and Blight both have enough counterplay.
To recap, you think the other Killers should be on Nurse and Blight's level?
-
@HugTechLover said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3410396#Comment_3410396
Both? The devs want a balance at 60% kill rate. At average mmr, performs under that. At top 5%, he performs just over that. So based on statistic, how are they outliers?
We certainly don't see Killers like Legion going on 1000 win streaks, do we?
So there must be something there.
I somewhat agree that Blight isn't overtuned for the average player. The trick would be to balance him for the higher-end whilst not affecting his average-end players.

Edited my post to make my meaning more clear.

Mhmmm.
Are you actually arguing that point or just pointing it out?

They aren’t a problem. Make the other killers better.
Blight and Nurse are absolutely too strong in the current landscape of DBD, imo.
Kilers should be around Wesker's skillcap. Easy to pick-up but difficult to master with appropriate levels of counter-play.
I think most Killers need to be buffed to get to that level. It's really just Nurse and Blight that would need to be toned down.
-
Healing nerfs.
DH killed off.
Med-Kit nerfs.
CoH massively nerfed.
Those were all THIS patch.
DS got killed.
Less distance on hit.
DH's rework.
Gen times increased.
I could keep going. The game is pretty balanced at the moment, if anything, it's slightly Killer-sided.

There are no outliers unless you mean addons.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3410346#Comment_3410346
Even with cross-region there still aren’t going to be enough players on to get a full lobby for players that good. Time zones, work, sleep, etc all factor in. The main issue here is playerbase size. 1% of 50 million versus 1% of 500 million is a night and day difference.
Blight and Nurse are leagues ahead of their competition and lightyears ahead of Killers like Trapper.
Reign them in, adjust problematic add-ons and see what happens.

@bazarama said:
Sure make the maps bigger and have absolutely no defence at all in end game as killer can't track hook and basement.
There's enough survivor second chance perks without creating a 'fith" survivor.
Reducing ridiculous gen speed should mean more chases and less camping.
It doesn't.
Gen speed has been slowed over the years numerous times.

So what do you propose? If you pair them with players of their skill level, their queue will take hours. A stupid and unviable idea. If you pair them with whoever, then it sucks for that batch of survivors who drew the short stick. But the odds of going against a player this good is like finding a unicorn, so it also isn’t an issue. For the good player, it’s every game. For the average players, it’s once in a blue moon.
Reigning in some of the Killer outliers seems like a good start.

Yeah, feels a lot worse as Survivor.
Definitely easier so far as Killer

Alch ring and c33 for sure
There's literally no reason for them to be in the game.
Blight has WAY too many good add-ons and those add-ons are outliers in strength.

I haven't seen them.
I know KnightLight also plays Blight a lot during tournaments, but he really specializes in Nurse.

I don't think Lilith does tournaments. He's probably the best pub Blight player.

PR is fine when Killer UI gets updated to reflect hook states of Survivors. Until then, it’s a sidegrade at best and nerf otherwise. All these unique hook based perks including Grim Embrace might actually see more use if the devs weren’t so stingy about the information Killers have access to.
Call of Brine is mostly for information now but Surveillance also does the same thing. Overcharge still has a place in skill check builds
Use brain.
Remember Survivor hooked.
Win more.

Who shirtless are you looking to?
.....Yui?
-
When will we get the full Shirtless Roster?
-
Nope, that's just the DBD rules.
It applies to other things.
If you equip Deliverance, you WILL be chased first, even if the Killer has to throw the game to catch you.
If you run DS, you will never be tunneled. Don't you dare take it off though, because you'll get turbo-tunneled off of first hook at 5 gens if you do.
-
I think this mostly just shows how strong tunneling and camping is when exploited by a smart player.
There are some add-ons that need to be addressed, but I don't think using far far far outliers as a justification for balance is acceptable.
-
I think there isn't really any fixing her without basically creating an entirely new character.
So might as well delete her.
Her visuals kinda suck. Her music sucks. Her mori sucks. Her power sucks. Her lore is atrocious and from what I've seen from the Tome, it's not getting better.

6 gens?

How is that bad logic?
If you allow survivors to hide for 30 mins you would be at fault. The mitigating factor would be whether or not you tried to find them at all in the first place. If the killer is actually searching for them and in that same 30 min length of time the survivors have somehow still failed to even attempt to do gens they would be the ones at fault.
Because BHVR has already said that the previous example IS holding a game hostage since the Survivors are not trying to advance the game.
I see no reason the same wouldn't apply to the Killer version of that.
-
@ReikoMori said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3409090#Comment_3409090
It's on the survivor to do the gen by any allowable means necessary even if the conditions sub optimal. This may mean that the attempt is ultimately hopeless, but bright side you're not gonna be in the game forever. The OP doesn't even describe scenario they just meme.
"The Killers objective is to kill Survivors by any allowable means. Even if conditions are sub-optimal. It doesn't matter if Survivors hide for 30 minutes, the Killer is at fault."
See how that logic is bad?

Oh, sorry! The OP didn't seem to be sarcastic, but unfortunately that is the downside of a medium like this. If it was sarcastic, I didn't catch it, but there have been plenty of comments by killers on this forum (and the Steam one) where killers whine about stuff like this, wanting survivors to be forced to do this or that.
I read it as sincere, and if that is not the case, I retract my statement (though I will not stay in a match for 40 minutes because I do have limitations on my time and don't have unlimited time to play video games).
I can't encourage DC'ing or kobe'ing off of hook, but I understand why that would be an appealing option to someone with limited time.

Y'all really got to stop saying "holding the game hostage" in relation to someone just doing a 3 gen. Like I agree that being able to hold one quite that hard is not great overall, but taking a game hostage has a very specific meaning in this game. It's not as if the can't be ended normally even if it drawn out longer than normal. Not every SM is likely just trying to time out the game and do absolutely nothing else but force you stay in the game.
This scenario OP is humorously describing DOES consistute as holding the game hostage iirc.

But it wasn’t and I made that clear.
I don’t want to quit but neither do I want to just hide on the far side of the map. I’m going to try and progress the objective even if that’s really hard to do.
If I die then no hard feelings, because it’s only a game and not worth getting upset about.
I think that a pretty healthy outlook to have on the game. No matter how much you want to twist it with your negative outlook.
whereas you said you’d try and kobe off hook, would you try till you died this genuinely quitting the game or would you try a couple then wait for rescue.
You are promoting quitting more than I am, but felt the need to get all self righteous about throwing the game, because I’d rather get involved and progress the objective than just outright quit and complain.
hypocrisy is the best way to fall off your high horse and you fell hard. So as I previously said welcome back to the mud.
But if you want to keep whining and quitting go for it but I’d rather get involved in games that are starting to drag out and have fun, even if that fun may get me killed.
Hmmmmm

It's honestly not better, survivor main.
It's utter trash. 25 percent regression on first hook on a gen 2 survivors are already on, that delays them by like 10 seconds and it's still done instantly.
Not talking about actually landing the scourge hook rng too.
Pain res needs fully reverted, period. It was the best healthiest regression in the game and rewarded killers for chasing and playing normally.
If they don't do something the killers gonna be quitting and bleeding out fast. Imagine nerfing gen regression but keeping all the gen speed perks and toolboxes etc. Absolutely just killed any non high pressure killers at remotely decent level.
Nobody cares about potato ranks where noone has good perks etc. New players get better and find out meta very quickly and will aim for that and in turn become better at the game this leading to survivor gen rush meta and killer tunneling because everything else leads to ding ding ding ding game over.
Uh oh, looks like I hit a nerve.
Killer definitely got a buff this patch. New PR is extremely impactful if you don't autopilot as Killer. It rewards good gamesense and smart plays.
Also, oops, sorry to burst your bubble but I'm a Killer main.

Yeah you've never been against good survivors before because I can assure you, gens fly no matter who you are. Survivors dgaf about being injured, it's gens gens gens leave.killer gets his kills if survivors slack off or overly altruistic.
POV: The fact that Killers can be good at the game is impossible to you, must be baby mmr.

Except Skull Merchant, who can load into a match, pick their 3 gen of choice, and then stalemate the game for 40+ mins with their power.
Freddy can do the same, with the said perks and hes teleport. I have been doing it. (ill admit that i havent tried it since Dredge arrived, but unless something have changed, he is able to do it.)
He isn't.
Knight can. Presumably, Nurse and Blight could as well, though they don't need to.

People are not happy with the game improving, god knows how bad it would be if it was actually getting worse. There is no hope.
YOUR opinion is that the game is improving. A purely SoloQ Survivor probably thinks the game just got a whole lot worse.
The average Killers matches probably got more difficult.
People are allowed and encouraged to voice their frustrations with the game. It's important to consider and acknowledge ALL feedback, not just the parts we agree with.
-
It's likely that those Survivors aren't really that good. It just feels that way because of how DBD works.
It's hard to give advice without seeing gameplay, are you able to share any?
-
Probably not, I would think.
-
Oh boy, performance issues.
Wonder if anyone has ever had these before. I sure wonder if someone said something about how if we didn't take the time to fix them, they'd get worse.

Which exhaustion perk do you think was the most popular last month?
That's not my contention.
My contention is about you offering no proof of what actually is and then BASING an entire argument around it.
It'd be one thing if you had just said, "Well, I don't like how DH was reworked, so I would like it to be looked at again."
Instead, you disputed the fact that it was nerfed in the first place and when pressed on it, you tried to use completely anecdotal data to back it up. You can't just say, "Well, you know, I saw it a lot so it's true."
