Your position on the DC penalty is "I should be able to ruin people’s games for free." Maybe take a hint from the forum rules. Not worth engaging further.
I've actually not yet stated my position I'm afraid.
You must have me confused with someone else.
Likewise, my entire point was for you to be more careful with your language and how you word things.
-
Something that shows innovation.
A new mechanic, a new game mode, something.

I feel they should not only have the disconnect penalty, but also put in a matchmaking system where people who dc often are forced into games with other people who dc often and need to play through a set amount of trials without disconnecting before they're removed from that section.
That's already implemented.
It's called Solo Q

That’s crazy. You must be being intentionally disingenuous, because I sure don’t see more than one non-custom differing game queue listed on the main menu.
Do I have to do the Konami Code to be this intentionally disingenuous?
If there's not a competitive mode, it's casual.
No other game bans you for quitting out of a casual queue, so don't be facetious and make it clear in your post next time; clarify that you are speaking about those games competitive queues.
That is all, I will not be commenting on DBD's relation to this.

They have penalties for their competitive equivalent.
That's crazy. You must have super vision because I sure don't see Competitive listed on the main menu.
Do I have to do the Konami Code to get in?
Every single one of those games has a penalty for competitive modes. They have zero penalty for casual modes. I don't think anyone would call DBD a competitive game by default.

Overwatch 2 has leaver penalty.
So does CoD.
Battlefield does for Hardline (competitive).
Apex does.
Mhmmm.
Pretty sure last time I played OW there wasn't one. I can quit out of QP anytime I want, same with CoD or BF.
Haven't played Apex since it came out, but it didn't back then.

They aren't saying 360 should be bannable, I think I know what they're saying, it's just not worded the best.
I think what they mean is on console, a survivor can spin you out of control very easily because of DPI settings and they can run into the killer which makes the screen go weird
Directly quoting the OP, "These honestly should be reportable and bannable."
I have a little experience with console DBD. The answer to spins and FoV techs isn't to literally BAN people for them, it's to give us some controller settings.

Fortnite does state you can be banned for quitting in its TOS as well as for competitive queue.
Overwatch, CoD, Battlefield and Apex don't ban for leaving, iirc.

Keep everything the same but make it 150%

That's not a technique, that's simply abusing the system.
Spinning a 360 mess up the auto aim from killers thus you're never able to hit a survivor, and it also distort your field of view.
Do you want to ban looping as well?
-
Killers or survivors body blocking survivor(s) all match until dc or match ends in 1 hour.
This is already bannable.
Abusing the gesture animation to instantly go to the dying state to avoid the dying animation, and recover immediately or crawl to escape boundary.
This is fine. It's just a tech. It'll come into play extremely rarely.
360 spun to abuse Field of View esp. vs console killers.
What is this? 2017? 360'ing being bannable? What a joke.

I haven't seen hate directed at Momo themselves, but I have seen a lot of discussion around the topic. Of course, I haven't set foot in DBD's Twittersphere nor the Reddit. That said, any hate directed towards them is unacceptable.
Also, I didn't know Momo was around my age, that's cool.

If you're a semi-decent killer, you're going to get matched against majority SWF because solos can't push high MMR because they don't escape enough.
If you play solo survivor exclusively, you'll get primarily matched in full solo lobbies where you have less chance of escaping.
Of course this doesn't apply if you're a fog whisperer/big content creator cause BHVR did something to the matchmaking to deal with the DDOSing/hackers. Those players get fed a steady stream of complete babies to beat on while average killer players get the pleasure of playing with the 10k hour SWFs and bully squads
POV: You are a DBD conspiracy theorist

Tell me it is not an infinite now :)
And you will note that the survivor doesn't loop properly here, loosing some time.
It's not.
The Legion could have used their power at any point to score a hit. They never broke chase, it's a God loop, not an infinite.
Also, there's no amount of maximum windows blocked.

There are two windows creating two semi-infinite loops. Once one loop is blocked, go for the other window, rinse and repeat.
Only one window can be blocked at a time... You have 16k messages here, surely 10k hours on DbD and you haven't noticed it ? How on earth is it possible ?
5K and it's because you can't fast vault the second window if the Killer takes the correct pathing.

You're operating under the false assumption that the "best team in the world" has the best players in the world.
The two do not correlate, especially for a game in which many view the comp scene as a joke. Not everyone who is talented is going to be crawling towards comp DBD.
Instead of dealing with hypotheticals, I can use xQc as a real world example here. He was unrefuted as the best tank in Overwatch. Not only was he not on the best team in OWL back in 2018, but he wasn't even in OWL after that year. You know what happened after he left? He became a millionaire.
Why would the best players waste their time making pennies in comp DBD when they can make a living creating content?
You think my opinion doesn't matter because I don't have accolades, while I'm breaking down the game theory to you.
I don't need to play comp DBD to prove I know what I'm talking about. I can break the game down play-by-play and show you that I know what I'm talking about.
Why are you hung up on Yoichi's window fake? I already told you he shouldn't have even put himself in that terrible position. There is no point talking about it, when a survivor with actual talent would have been smart enough to take chase elsewhere.
You're picking the wrong hill to die on, my friend. Yoichi didn't make a single good play in that video.
???
Nobody thought xQc was the best tank in the world during his hey-day in OW. Well, maybe he did, but that's beside the point.
Everybody who followed OWL knew there were FAR better players than him.

The GoJ main building is a literal infinite. The windows never get blocked because the killer loses chase, bloodlust won't happen for the same reason and the killer will not make any ground on the survivor. That is pretty much the definition of an infinite loop.
I've seen that Saloon can be an infinite for 4.4 m/s killers as well (though only if certain breakable walls are destroyed).
It's crazy how it isn't. The window blocks as long as you, you know, don't meander around and drop chase. I've had people vault the window three times on me, I've not ever had someone turn it into an infinite.
Yes, Saloon has one with the prerequisite that you break a wall that few people even know about.

Far from it.
As @HugTechLover started getting into, comp has a different demand than pub games. Are comp Survivors harder to beat that pub Survivors? Absolutely. Are they better than pub Survivors? Not that I've seen. They just have one very important element that pub games lack--teamwork.
Comp doesn't demand that Survivors be the greatest loopers, because they already have the numbers and resource advantage. They can all go down instantly in every chase, and still 3-4 escape, so long as they play the macro game correctly.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3411133#Comment_3411133
It's really tough to compare DBD to any physical sport, when the game lacks so much mechanical skill.
To become a professional athlete in any sport, you need to surpass certain benchmarks of success, because they are considered "average" at the highest level of play. These benchmarks include things such as speed, strength, dexterity, reaction time, etc.
DBD doesn't have any of that. A Survivor with 0hrs runs just as fast as a Survivor with 5k hours. A Survivor with 50hrs does a generator just as fast as a Survivor with 500hrs.
All of your skill as a Survivor in DBD is demonstrated in your decision making, which is observable regardless of a Killer's skill.
And the decision making I see in comp, outside of the macro game, is abysmal--at least with respect to displaying individual skill.
This isn't to say that comp Survivors couldn't prove themselves to be some of the best loopers in the game. They're just not being challenged in the competitive scene to demonstrate any of that skill, and thus the Killers in comp aren't required to be the best in chase...which I believe is where you demonstrate how good you are with a chase killer like Blight.
Yeah, I think you're just completely wrong.

Ok but comp player does not = better. Because it’s relative. What exactly defines them as better? Are they better because they get kills in comp by tunneling? Or are they truly better at blight? Do they know all the ins and out, all of the game knowledge pertaining to blight? Or are they just good at playing comp style? There are more factors to it.
Most comp Survivors are going to be much more difficult to beat than any pub teams.
You need to not only be beyond proficient with your Killer of choice, but you also need to be extremely good at macro play.

I don't know any comp Blights, but I've a hard time believing their success in comp puts them any rung above Lilith Omen. Most survivors I've seen in comp are slightly above average, at best. Obviously they're more coordinated, and thus require the Killer to manage their time really well, but the macro game is a universal skill all Killers need to learn.
The top tier loopers you find in pubs are a better test of a Killer's skill than the comp players who go down in 30s.
...sarcasm, right?

No, it was never on Xbox and isn't able to be added, apparently.

It makes more sense when you realize some things can be done a lot quicker than others in coding or in context. Some things are hard to code. Other things can’t be changed in isolation because they affect a lot of other things so they have to decide how they want to adjust those other things alongside it.
There's no reason for the Devs to be so slow at adjusting add-ons.
There's no excuse for leaving Freddy and Pyramid Head like they are. Also no excuse for not adjusting Alc Ring, C33 or double speed.

And yet survivors are still OP and good SWFs unbeatable with all killers except Nurse, Blight and Oni.
Other killers have just the time to finish one chase and 3 gens are done, insta heal are still a thing and there are plenty OP perks : We'll make it, Inner Healing, Sprint Burst/Lithe for 20 seconds free chases.
You are delusional when you say the game is killer sided
Lot to unpack here.
I could just give up and call this what it is. A skill issue.
Good SWF's get beaten all the time. Are they easy to beat? No and they shouldn't be. I can routinely stomp good teams with someone like Pinhead.
Instant heal haven't existed in years. None of the perks you listed are overpowered.

Killer sided of course 😂
There is not a single tournament that is hosted without huge perks and items restriction on the survivors'side but it is killer sided in pub, okay.
Funnily enough, those tournaments always have restrictions on Killers as well.
But yes, the game is usually pretty balanced, if anything it's Killer-sided in most public matches

Without add-ons, Nurse is stronger.
With add-ons, Blight is stronger.

Healing nerfs got turned back only Medkit nerfs.
I dont know how everyon say DH is dead. Its very tiny nerf compair too the Killer Perk changes.
Medkit nerfs where needed for yeard.
CoH got nerfed yes but if you would play it now you would see the nerf wasnt that massively.
Ds dead is true they should do a 4 sec stun
DH rework was needed, but its still the strongest Survivor Perk.
Gen time wasnt that big compair to perks that caim out later (Hyperfocus) Solo gen in 40 sec great gen time increase.
Less Distanz on Hit I agree has an impact on Survivor.
50% slower healing with a med-kit is still a healing nerf. Likewise, 50% slower healing overall was dumb.
DH is extremely dead. You need to be unhooked before you can use it. It deactivates on ANY use, not just a successful one. That means you need to get hooked again for it to be active.
CoH got the single strongest effect in the game removed completely. It got massively nerfed.
Hyperfocus only works in very specific scenarios.

Uhhh have you read the patch notes?
Healing nerf is cancelled, that is why i said it doesn't even exist.
Dh is only nerfing 1 time less, and if you unhook someone it's unchanged, the *nerf* don't really change anything about tunnel.
Self care speed is even longer than the seven patches ago,i could not even remember when .
Yeah distance is huge,if it's not only 1.2 meters, you know survivor can run 4m/sec right?
Dh rework is a rework,it makes you can't brain dead gain distance, but reward you more from being hit.
Self-Healing takes 50% longer.
DH only procs if you get unhooked, not if you unhook someone. It also deactivates if you whiff, you'll need to get unhooked again to use it.
It's a significant nerf.
DH rework was a nerf. Calling it anything else is untrue.

So what’s your answer to the following puzzle?
Side A: Not enough survivors (4) + Not enough killers (1) of all close enough skill level to have a contestable match, so waiting hours till you do.
Side B: Matching the super skilled survivors or killers against less skilled players they will trounce if those less skilled players aren’t almost on the same level as the super skilled players.
To use a rank analogy just because it makes things simple, matching Top 500 against Silver would be worse than matching Top 500 versus Diamond, but Top 500 will still trounce Diamond players any day of the week.
Not quite what I was referring to.
I meant you can either address matchmaking, tunneling, slowdowns or Blight.
I don't particularly care which one is addressed.

Do you think anything that isn’t 4 survivors all on Momo’s level or better would genuinely give him a run for his money? Momo is also using 4 slowdown and tunneling someone out at 5 generators remaining every single game, and those 1000 games include a lot of games where survivors DC’d or gave up early.
I think you need to address it either way. It doesn't matter to me which piece of the puzzle you choose to go after

Biased?
1.Healing nerfs.
Which doesn't even exist
2.DH killed off.
3 times used->minimum 2 time used
3.Med-Kit nerfs.
heal time 16 ->24
4.CoH massively nerfed.
Can't selfcare i would said is big.
Those were all THIS patch.
DS got killed.
5sec -> 3sec is big, even though it was 3 sec before.
Less distance on hit.
1.2 meter less, which is unnoticeable.
DH's rework.
It's not even a nerf.
Gen times increased.
50 secs,i would said is big.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3410388#Comment_3410388
And now compared to these.
Am I biased ?
Healing nerfs were incredibly substantial. Being able to heal yourself is the strongest ability in the game. Making it take longer is a HUGE nerf.
DH can't be used in the first chase. It can also be completely avoided by tunneling. It's also still easy to bait out. Huge nerfs.
That's a massive increase in self-healing speed, yes. I was more talking about the addons. No more 5 heal medkits. No more 6 second heals.
Less distance on hit is huge. That's the difference between making a pallet and getting hit.
DH's rework was a massive nerf. That's just recency bias at its finest.

The main factor is playerbase size. Matching the top 1% is a lot easier for larger players. Still 1% relatively, but a bigger number of actual players.

So what else do you propose? Either Momo’s queues take several hours per game, or four out of countless average survivors get a stroke of bad luck for one game out of a countless many in their overall playtime.
There's an in-between, surely.

If they could, that would be fine. But they literally can’t, because a mechanically simpler ability like Bear Traps will never reach the potential of something like Nurse or Blight without getting flat buffs that would make it overpowered. You can only buff a simple concept like Bear Traps so much. But blinks, rushes, etc, give way more freedom to work with.
In a scenario where it was possible to make all Killers equal in power to Nurse or Blight though, you'd be for that?
-

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3410413#Comment_3410413
I think you misinterpreted what I meant, or I worded it poorly. The chance any specific average player is going to get matched against someone of Momo’s level is negligible.
Momo will almost always go against average survivors. But out of Average Survivor Lobby A, B, C, …, the odds of specifically A going against Momo is also negligible. Which is why it’s not a problem. For A, it sucks that they basically got hit by lightning, but it’s extremely unlikely they’ll end up in that situation again. As you recognize, there is a huge amount of average players. If Momo was going against the same average survivors over and over, that would be a problem. But they aren’t. Some survivors will have the misfortune of being matched against Momo, likely promptly lose, and then go onto normal matches.
Is it not a problem that he's sent to slaughter regular players in the first place?
Those people have ZERO chance. Don't you think that's terrible for the game?

Try to keep going.
You already need to dig the history that 7 patchs ago and half of their nerf are so tiny or even isn't really a nerf.
The games pretty well balanced. There's a couple outliers, but it doesn't need nerfs every patch.
