Personally, I feel like maybe, just maybe, he should be able to be played by the majority of the playerbase.
As it is right now, most people do not get to actually play him.
Make him usable on Console.

Yup. Not for me though, I don't care about my own. I just want to see all the people who claim they're high MMR and getting sweaty comp squads every game get a bit of a reality check.
Same.
Except, I also wanna see my own and see how I stack up. See how far I can push a flawed system.
But seeing people get ego checked is definitely a big motivator.

no you're SUPPOSED to address both sides EVERY time you speak on something in dbd even if it's awkward or irrelevant to the conversation or YOU'RE BIASED! /s
I don't even disagree with their point about talking about both sides it's just... why, man? this post wasn't ever talking about survivor side
If it had mentioned the survivor side, I wouldn't touched on it.
As it was stated, there wasn't any need to bring it up, like you said.

Hopefully not.

The same goes both ways, don’t just address one side.
you shouldn’t need gen progression perks to play
if there’s a balance issue those perks are masking, it should be exposed and fixed
....okay?
This post was about gen regression perks, so I responded on topic?

I like both changes.

PR was objectively nerfed. No one will use it
PR is better until the 7th hook of the game. If you've got 7 hooks, you should be winning.
You also get rewarded for not tunneling. Good design.

Yeah but devs only look at the kill rate and 70% kill rate would mean more hooks.
No, a 70% Kill Rate would mean more Kills.
Hooks are independent of Kills. If you make facecamping viable for instance, you could have a 70% Kill Rate with a 3 hook average.

survivor's only change is an increase in 8 second healing when using med-kit. your not going notice 8 seconds of more time healing from med-kit as killer.
DH is strong perk however few players can utilize it consistently for the perk to major impact a match. when only 0.05% of player-base would produce game-changing impact from the perk, your not really going to notice much in regards to this perk.
The survivor changes will be unnoticeable in a few months. What will remain noticeable in a few months is killer having no regression perks or consistent generator defence perks. The few perks that vastly improved killer winning chances are low impact perks. I suspect that survivor will have one of strongest updates that they have ever had.
You will.
Suddenly, since you can't heal quickly multiple times, injuring Survivors and spreading pressure is worth it.
DH was hard nerfed. CoH was hard nerfed. CoB and Overcharge were hard nerfed.
PR got a sidegrade.
-
If the kill rate is 70%, the game wouldn't be Survivor-sided.
I could only imagine the outrage that would come of the game having a 70% escape rate.
70% of either is not good.
-
I mean, would you rather people bring Medkits or toolboxes
-
Lots of things wrong here.
DH only works when you get unhooked. You get two uses MAX. If you whiff, it's deactivated.
CoH got massively nerfed. It had the single strongest effect in the game completely removed.
CoB and Overcharge were being used to hold matches hostage. They were much too strong. Nobody liked the infinite 3 gen meta.
PR got a side-grade. It's better for you up until the 7th hook of the match.
This patch is mostly fair, but I do think it slightly favors Killers.

You are telling me survivors finish 1/3 of a gen and decide to run off and ignore that gen? Tunneling is just finishing off the job. Survivors wouldn't consider not finishing a gen for no reason.
What?
Nobody said anything about which happens more often.

It de activates when you take a hit so if you wait it out you still have it for next chase if the killer leaves you
It does not work like that.
It deactivates if you use it at all. Like if you miss the DS skill check.

-"DH is an essentially dead perk"
No it isn't. They were going to make it a dead perk and survivors cried.
You sure like that narrative, but no, that doesn't appear to be the case.
People gave FEEDBACK. The feedback said that DH was too inconsistent, promoted hard tunneling/camping and pitted Survivors against each other in a competition for unhooks.
Even I gave that feedback, Killer main that I am, in the same thread where I gave feedback on PR.

Bruh. DH is gonna show up less but still be powerful when used well, COH isn't "nerfed" imo just reworked (8 second heals is strong), and you can still use med kits to self heal at least once, multiple times with built to last.
What happened to killer? Oh yeah, every good regression perk is dead now or mediocre af. CoB now provides a 6% difference in regression (25% repair to 31.25% repair speed) and overcharge is that but worse. Pain resonance, one of the most blanced perks, had been reworked into forced anti tunnel with just 4 procs. No compensation as the healing nerfs were reverted, DH nerf was buffed, COH nerf was buffed, a genrush perk got buffed.
Keep coping, I guess.
PR got a side grade. It's better in the early-game, you know, when Killer is weakest.
Med-Kits that heal once are exponentially less powerful than Med-Kits that heal 5 times and in under 16 seconds.
DH is an essentially dead perk. You will not see it often at all. It has a hypothetically strong effect but its gatekept by too many variables. A perk dependant on the Killers internet isn't good. You get two shots at it and if you whiff, that's it. It's not worth running over other more reliable perks anymore.
CoH lost the single most powerful effect in the game in exchange for, at bare minimum, a 30 second time investment to heal.
-
Pretty sure Alf did a video about this.
They discovered that you can still hold a flashlight on Nurse to pause her between Blinks.
You just can't Lightburn her anymore.

i cant agree on that. ive started playing killer getting destroyed by extremely good survivors i was basicly getting bullied. since they buffed gens speed, it has completly changed not the mention the coh meta. over the years ive became better , not the other way around ? and it has became harder and harder to win games. the maps has changed , the perks has changed favoring survivors way too much. to an extent where even players holding W can destroy you in a 4min match ! yes you heard it complete 4 gens in 4 mins
I don't know how to argue with someone when they ignore basic facts.
Gens speeds haven't ever been buffed. In fact, they've been nerfed by adding an additional 10 seconds for every gen.
-
None of these skins look very good.
Plus, it might encourage people to play SM.
All in all, pretty disappointing.

@Canas said:

If you ask me it merely got readjusted. They literally increased the healing speed to compensate for the loss of selfcare, it's still completely busted and will be used by SWFs to the fullest extent.
That is not even close to making up for the loss of Self-Healing.
That's what made CoH absurd.
These 8 second heal times are really 30 seconds since they require two Survivors and the time to set-up a Boon. That's not even accounting for travel time or if the Killer snuffs the Boon.
The perk is good. I wouldn't mind seeing it go to 75% but it definitely didn't get buffed.
-
The game is pretty good for Killer at the moment.
Killer is stronger now than it has ever been before, except right after 6.1.0
Survivor has only gotten weaker over the years, that's an objective fact.

i've nothing aganist casual players, but you can't balance the game around people that play this game for a total of 20 hours and cry for every thing that they consider unfair because they don0t have enough experience regarding to understand how the game works, period. (people are actually complaining about killer being unfun also for this reason)
btw saying this you are indirectly admitting that this game isn't balanced when there are regular players/people with a modicum of skill, you know?
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3398485#Comment_3398485
no and you know why? because i see THE CONTEXT of the perks/items/powers, not the usage... i want to remember you that with this logic they erased the %bonus on bp from bbq, this alone GREATLY increased the number of camping and tunneling killers and they NERFED selfcare, a perk that was situational and considered bad just cause it was popular... i'll say this again for the last time: you cannot balance this game around statistics (or at least you technically can, but don't be surprised if it will become unfun in the long run) otherwise you'll end to kill this game, but eh, each one his own i guess, keep thinking that i want to belittle statistics cause they went aganist what i'm saying...
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3398492#Comment_3398492
A killer CAN'T control how the game will go... in a single chase you'll end up loosing 3 gens if survivors aren't trolling and they are working on generators and this without even putting bs maps like garden of joy, badham, lery, etc etc... even killers that are considered a+ tier aren't able to do nothing aganist people that know how to play... this is a good example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7pjrv4Fu3Y&pp=ygUZZGJkIG9uZSBzaG9ydCBjaGFzZSAzIGdlbg%3D%3D
20 hours is a new player, not a casual player.
The game is actually pretty fairly balanced when both sides are equally skilled and are trying equally as hard. It becomes imbalanced when those two things are not equivalent.
-
@Canas said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3398536#Comment_3398536
Yes, CoH got buffed. They doubled the healing speed within its aura at the cost of removing selfheals. It used to be 50%, now it'll be 100%. Premades can meet up at the boon and heal up twice as fast now.
It is not buffed.
It had the single strongest effect in the game removed from it.
-
@Canas said:
Looks like the bully squads will remain as strong as ever next patch with CoH being buffed (!!) to favor premade/coordinated groups (EIGHT second heals), meanwhile genrushing remains entirely untouched. The loss of several gen regression perks for killers is going to be truly devastating, I see very little reason to pick anything but Deadlock in the immediate future.
The few people in here who lack the empathy or understanding to grasp what I'm going through should seriously consider two things:
1) Why can't matchmaking/MMR adapt despite this type of experience being the norm for me?
2) Why should I NOT be allowed to pick NOED while survivors get to borderline cheat at the game with perks like CoH and Dead Hard? I never see you condemn survivors for using these perks but the moment a struggling killer like me brings this perk I'm suddenly the villain? What is wrong with you?
1) Because it isn't designed to. The MM prioritizes queue times over balanced games, doubly so if you get backfilled. To me, it's still likely that these games are completely winnable. However, without any footage, it's difficult to say for sure.
2) I didn't see anyone paint you as a villain for using NOED, although I admittedly stopped paying close attention after a bit.
Oh, and a quick question. Did you mean to say that CoH was buffed?
-

Remind me again what i happening to all gen regression perks?
Oh that's right they are getting nerfed so hard they might as well not even exist.
Did you play back in 2016 when you couldn't kick generators? DBD will be like that because without kick perks you should basically never waste time kicking a generator.
Meanwhile gen rush perks did not get a 70% nerf like OC or a 75% nerf like CoB.
Toolboxes didn't become sabotage only and the BNP didn't get retired.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3396538#Comment_3396538
-"Gen rushing is still going to be a problem who cares if medkits getting nerfed when you have toolboxes hahahaha!!"
And that's exactly the problem because without Gen regression you will have no meaningful way to stall the survivor objective.
That's not what I was responding to.
Survivors did not get buffed, sorry.
-
I think it comes from one happening much more than the other.
They should still address both.
-
@Tostapane said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3398467#Comment_3398467
again with stats... stats are meaningless in a game like this one... for your same logic the nurse should have been buffed instead of nerfed because she had one of the lowest killrate in the game... this is how much accurate are your precious stats... it's like saying that dead hard isn't problematic because now it's took only 34% of the times... it's a blatant lie
And yet, I guarantee you that if the stats showed the opposite, you'd be spouting something different.
I'm fairly certain you don't like stats because they contradict your narrative.
-
Is there something wrong with being casual?
That's the majority of DBD's players. Seems fine to me that they address things that affect casuals.
-
You honestly think that the Devs haven't played their game since 2017?
-
uh huh.
That's why they had a high usage rate right? Because they were bad.
Oh yes, Survivors definitely have the tools to counter a Overbrine 3-gen. Would be a shame if they, you know, tried to be fun and NOT bring good stuff.
Oh, also, Potential Energy is a Killer perk.
-
I guess I wouldn't mind it but I suspect it'd require the perks to be re-balanced.

It was +50% + aura reading, which could be a very good thing for soloQ. I think that was enough. I think that the new CoH will be stronger than the current version with even two or three man team.
Now, every SWF will have a safe fast reset spot, erasing the killer pressure in seconds.
It was only aura reading while inside the Boon iirc. It was dead for everyone except SWF.
New CoH is NOT even close to being stronger than old CoH, don't let number increases fool you.
