or maybe they've moved on because they realise it's probably a fruitless endeavour given the naivety of the community at large, combined with the ignorance of BHVR after this stunt. I've deleted the game and wont get it back unless BHVR retract their stance on NFTs, and you can say "oh you're not contributing anything, you're just a sheep and will accomplish nothing" It wont have anything bearing on my conscience that I'm supporting a company that clearly doesn't care about the environment, nor does it seem to care about the illicit activities associated with NFTs and blockchains. The continued ignorance of both the community and BHVR make it clear to most rational people it wont matter. So I'll take my piece of mind tyvm. However, if people continue to support the company that is promoting NFTs, I don't want to be a part of that. And I think maybe more of the playerbase should educate themselves.
Before I forget, since I got a little passionate and offtopic. While yes right now there is no downward slope, the current player count is much lower than other dlc drops. given other dlc's had peaks of 75k+ players on steam. Providing you consider the concurrent player count trend over the last 3 to 6 months, you'll see it is on the downward.
Don't forget this is a survivor dlc, so that naturally brings less people (not trying to sound biased, but survivors are just skins and new skins arent that likely to bring in as many new players as new characters)

I guarantee you the people who said they wont play aren't playing. using the drop of a new dlc to "disprove" them is so nieve, as a lot of players who dont hold an opinion will be playing the place of those who left. However, it's entirely possible once the excitement of a new dlc wear off, it'll be a down, down slope.
There won't be any slope due to the NFTs. 95% of the people upset already forgot.

The fact that new content launched today can't be overlooked as a factor either
It's not overlooked. It just goes to prove BHVR specifically waited for yesterday to announce NFTs so people would quickly forget about them.

Don't forget that forum posters are a small, small percentage of the game population. The great bulk of people playing the game couldn't care less about the forums or NFT that give out Hellraiser coupons or whatever.
Well a ######### ton of people commented on twitter and youthbe videos, so I would say there were around 5000 people *publicly* upset. There might have as well many others.

You want to buy the Mona Lisa, and Louvre offers to give it to you for 60.000.000 dollars. You pay them with cryptocurrency that was produced by burning down a forest, and in return you get a cardboard copy of Mona Lisa and a receipt that says you own it.
That is what an NFT basically means, except NFTs are digital. You pay gigantic amounts of money produced very horribly to recieve a jpeg and a reciept saying you own it.
The big issue here is that Steam (rightfully) doesn't agree with this money laundring concept and bans any game related to it.

This is arguing about ethical something or another related to crypto currency. It’s only political. It’s definitely not a discussion about the game. Just a vessel for political arguing like chips are a vessel for guacamole.
This isn’t holding feet to the fire. It’s embarrassing. Y’all are making a bunch of threads like a puffed up pufferfish.
Deactivate and never come back.

Class NFT arguments under political discussion and remove all these threads. Take it somewhere else.
Sadly, there's nothing political about being upset over BHVR associating with a money laundring company that ruins the enviroment.

OP's forum account was also made just a few hours ago. This is in no way "proof" of anything but someone who played enough to reach Devotion 408 has played DbD for a LONG time! The odds of him only just now making a DbD account after that long is a little suspect in my opinion.
Too many details are missing and too many details that was given aren't adding up. My gut is a rumbling over trust issues with this.
I made my account in December 2019 and started watching the game in May 2016 and playing in December 2016.
Forum accounts have nothing to do with playtime.

No, banned because they gave them compensation bp which they considered game file modification lol.

You won't be helped here, you will only have your thread closed and asked to send a ticket by a template response.
Anyway, can't you use the past emails as evidence the devs gave you the BP so you are unbanned?

I played back then. Wasn't that crazy, people over exegerate the grind. Like always.
I remember seeing youtubers level up as survivor in June 2016. Compared to now, it was definetly tedious.
To the topic: I sadly started to play only 2 weeks after legacy was given, but I was supporting the game even before it released on steam. Yeah sure, a reward would be nice, but let me ask you this: What do you like soooo much about legacy? A bland outfit with shiny yellow spots on it? Or do you like its exclusivity? Give it out to anyone and you'll be amazed at how unused it will be.
-
Iri addons would be good so this change won't happen.
-
Maybe 1h? I was on swamp with 3 other team mates. The last 3 gens were in such a bad spot the killer camped them from early game.
They didn't even have to move to see all of them, just turn the camera a bit.
The killer refused to chase or hook anyone, but would get you off a gen. If you didn't struggle on their shoulder, they'd just drop and pick you up untill you freed yourself.
This was a solo q match, therefore my team didn't try any trick.
After about one hour, someone found a key and got out. The killer found the hatch and triggered EGC and I managed to get out.
-
It can be really fun if they do come down stairs. I personally like doing it every now and then. It's guaranteed ez kills, makes me feels evil and gives me free salty juice.
-
I have been playing him crazily and I'll put him in the exact middle of killers.
1) Don't use your power on long loops that have vaults. It's pointless.
2) Any loop that has only pallets is entirely shut down by your power. If you play on the game, those super long, un-mindgamable loops become useless. Just land your power, and you have cut yourself maybe 40+ sceonds of chase.
3) If a survivor holds w, use your power, but try to place the gate as close as possible to the survivor and shoot asap. If you do this, you still gain far more distance that just holding w.
4) His best addons are the ones that increase the time it takes to do the lament configuration and his iri box. You can also get a lof of use from the sunglasses lens and throat piece or how it is called. By running addons that increase the time it takes to do the box, you increase your chances of reaching a ~30 meter range from the survivor opening the box. Try to get to them, and if you don't reach that place in time, use your power to cancel the solving.
5) You ABSOLUTELY want to walk to the survivor and not teleport. This way you get the box by chasing and downing the box wielder and force a chain hunt that will last a good time.
6) Use his power for patroling if you don't afford walking.
7) Use his power for cancelling last second actions.
8) Use his power if you don't want to deal with exaustion perks.
9) Just like with Nurse, avoid using your power when you don't have good line of sight or a good idea where the survivor is.

Visually Pinhead is boring, he looks super stiff, very little animation from him. Comparing Trickster to PepeHead, Trickster is full of charisma while Pepehead 2.0 is just there. Even Myers's breathing is more than whatever PepeHead 2.0 does. All he had was the voicelines so i don't blame you. It would be the same as removing voice lines from Ash Williams, you just don't do that.
Pinhead is supposed to be stiff. He never really moves around, he just stares and moves his mouth/head and MAYBE hands. It's great to see how they made such great animations for such a stiff character.

Impossible as long as your pfp isn't Élodie.

You are literally mixing movie rules with game rules.
The OP already said game rules.
IT'S LIKE I'M TAKING CRAZY PILLS!!!!
By game rules, killers can't be killed, so wnd of story.
-
@TGB said:
Why can't Bubba do anything while chained??? You never explain this. You just assume it.
Even Survivors can do things while chained.
Even if you randomly assume he can't rev the chainsaw while chained, how about M1'ing? Best Pinhead could do is equally trade M1's, chains be damned.
And frankly, if we look at common themes of the chains, and control schemes... It's MORE likely that Bubba wouldn't be able to M1, but WOULD be able to chainsaw.
How can Bubba swing his hammer with force if his hand is literally chained? Even if he somehow manages to swing, it will tear his hand flesh and be more like a tickle considering the lack of momentum.
Also, there is one thing you are forgetting. Regardless of game powers, Pinhead is still impossible to kill with human wielded weapons. Unless Leatherface is a Cenobite himself, he can't hurt Pinhead.

Nope - so, you can have your chains, sure. But... you're going to have to really spell out that last part.
How does he close out the fight?
Spare no detail. And try to not neglect all of Bubba's actions in your explanation.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2488629#Comment_2488629
Oop, you're right. You did.
But why is Bubba just sitting there doing nothing like a target dummy?
It's so common when people get into these imaginary battles. They always imagine the side they pick to be flipping around like ninjas and doing all the cool things they wanna see. But then the opposing party is always just standing there AFK.
Pinhead swung. What was Bubba doing? Staring at a wall?
Come on, guys.
Pinhead swung while Bubba was literally chained lmao.
When the battle begins, pinhead quickly chains Bubba's hand while he tried to charge his chainsaw. He hits him, and while Bubba tries once more to charge his chainsaw, Pinhead already ended the cooldown animation and swings again.

What.
- You say Pinhead's second hit, but nowhere stated his first hit.
- DBD rules, you can't just "chain Bubba's hands" and now he can't use his hands. OP already declared DBD rules, not RP rules or movie rules.
1. I clearly stated he swung.
2. He chained his hand and that clearly occurs in game. While chained, you can't use items.
My point still stands.
-
@TGB said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2472140#Comment_2472140
No...
He'd come in and deal 1 damage. And take 2.
And if Killers have MORE than 2 health, the disparity will only be greater, as Bubba keeps sweeping his chainsaw more and more.
With DBD strengths, it's no contest Bubba.
With movie strengths, it's no contest Pinhead.
Weird combo of Killers to choose...
Pinhead chains Bubba's right hand, swings, and untill Bubba gets to charge his chainsaw, Pinhead already got his second hit in. Pinhead uses his Cypress mori and sends bubba into the ground.

Maybe Halloween, the first license that started it all? Maybe ST, one of the most popular, IF not the most popular series of one of the biggest movie production and sharing companies in the world? Maybe even NoES?

Leatherface stares across at Pinhead, tilting his head curiously. This was a face the likes of which he had never seen before. It's a mask that would definitely be a valuable addition to his collection. Revving up his Chainsaw, Leatherface prepares to butcher Pinhead.
Pinhead looks unimpressed with Leatherface's plan of attack. With a simple raise of his right hand index finger, a chained hook speeds past Pinhead and buries itself in Leatherface's left arm. With his bound arm swinging outward, Leatherface drops the chainsaw.
Pinhead watches on. Leatherface, pained yet curious, looks at the hook caught in his own flesh. He suddenly lunges his left arm forward, and with a blood-splattering tear of skin, detaches himself from the hook.
Raising his brow, Pinhead almost seems impressed at Leatherface's escape. Reaching in to his apron, Leatherface produces a hammer. He glares toward Pinhead, breathing heavily with anger.
Pinhead looks at the vengeful cannibal; "Enough games." he says calmly. Pinhead extends both hands in a passive gesture. Leatherface seems confused at the pale demon's behaviour. Suddenly several chains dart toward Leatherface, the sharp hooks penetrating his filthy flesh. Leatherface howls in agony as the chains attach to his every limb. He is suspended by the the metal tools of torture, hanging and helpless...like many a victim he brought to his kitchen. For a brief moment, he understood the impact of the pain and suffering he dealt on many a potential meal.
Pinhead steps closer to weeping Leatherface. "You've had your last supper." and with a simple nod of his head, the chains pull Leatherface's body to pieces, tearing his deranged soul apart in a massacre of blood and flesh.
WINNER: PINHEAD
Dr Loomis vs Myers next, please.

I only face bots and I'm afraid that even with 4k every game, I will never see bully squads again. I will miss them, they were my favs.
-
Actually because of the lack of vaults, I consider it his best map.
1) you don't have to go up and down to patrol. Your power is perfect for this.
2) There are close to no vault loops. His power absolutely shuts down those long loops on the game.
Honestly, I have huge results with his power, and I just think people generally use it wrong. It's not a clown slow per se, it's pretty different and you need to learn that.

That has to be the longest sentence I've ever seen.
Full stops and commas exist for a reason.

Have you never teabagged, I might have sympathized with thou. You were ten times more of a douche than the Huntress and expected them to be nice.

If you wanna try hard for a single kill sure. If you're gonna try hard in endgame camp the hook and slug anyone that comes to it. Waiting until the hooked person gets unhooked and doing a basic attack isn't the play when you're a killer with projectiles. If this huntress really cared to win she'd have slugged or grabbed the person that saved me but she went for me. She could've traded hooks and gotten a kill but she chose to tunnel and lost because of it. Getting one kill doesn't make you good nor does it show you played well. Sure the potential is there but she camped and tunneled out of pettiness or just not knowing how to handle the situation. Either way done responding to people that give the same reply as you 😂 She definitely could've easily killed me but failed to do it.
No, she couldn't. When 3 people are body blocking, she has to hit 5 times to down you, 6 if she swings for dh.
-
So, a killer player got really unlucky, went to endgame with no kills, wanted to secure a kill, you required 2 second chance perks to get out, you taunted the killer, and expected what? Tunneling/camping in endgame is literally the best thing to do. There are no gens left to defend, and the hook swarming can guarantee you kills.
