But...
finger guns
We might need to make an exception for finger guns...

Yes please. More gestures that help solos with communication. I want a “stop”, “stay here”, and “shhh” gesture. Nothing too silly.

It's simple. Claudette's Persona is three more Claudettes.
Claudette is becoming too powerful.

That's simple. Different versions of the same person at different points of time.
But what if they are all the same version 😳

Honestly this didn’t seem that bad to me. I have seen and experienced much worse. My favorite experience is one time when I playing on haddonfield and vaulted a window on the second story, had my feet hit the ground and still managed to get hit by the killer. But thankfully dedicated servers are just around the corner. :)

Viable? Yes. Easy? Not at all.
Not trying to start an argument, just saying.
Anyways, I do Spirit and Pig. Love the idea and execution of mindgames.
Well maybe not for everybody, but for me she is. It only took me a couple days to get really good with her and now playing her is a cakewalk.

Second wind is the perfect example of how devs create new survivor perks. They take a perk that could actually be useful, and add about 1000 conditions to make it super super situational to the point that it’s useless most of the time. Then wonder why survivor meta never changes.

Personally I would just want Jason in the game, but if we get a Jason skin then I wouldn't complain.
Oh I would much rather have Jason himself too lol.

And right after, tons of threads about the "genrush problem" because 3 survivors know they're safe to do WHATEVER they want.
Ok so I believe the best way to balance this game is too buff solo survivors to the level of swf, and then buff killers acordingly, and I’m pretty sure that’s what the devs still want too. So this would be a great way to start that process.
-
Spirit because she’s easy to play and super viable at high ranks.
-
Cult of Dwight’s always gets a laugh from me. I’ve only ever one into them once but I’ve seen them on YouTube enough.
-
Because I’m my friends stopped playing a while ago and I don’t like playing with people I don’t know.
-
I know I’m gonna get hate from all the kenny fans, but I DESPISE kenny with a passion. I killed him as fast as I could in my TWD playthrough. As someone else said I would much rather have Clem or literally any other character from that series.
For killer I personally would love to see Pyramid Head from Silent Hill but it most likely won’t happen because of Konami. Still I can hope.
-
When will people learn that SWF isn’t going anywhere?
-
Give trapper a Jason outfit. I know it can’t happen but still just do it. :)
-
I’m gonna guess next Tuesday. But I’m on PS4 anyways so it doesn’t matter much :(
-
I am super excited too, but keep in mind they said the release date for the archives is tentative, so there is a chance it might not be coming out this mid-chapter patch.
I hope that’s not the case though as I’m personally more excited for the archives than even this new chapter, and that’s saying a lot because I am HYPED for this new chapter lol.
-
A chase indicator is a great way to help bridge that swf and solo gap. Peanits himself said he likes the idea and wouldn’t be against its implementation so maybe we will see it one day?
-
Unfortunately this is just how it goes when you play solo survivor. It’s less about working as a team and more of an everybody for themselves type mindset. I’m just not even shocked anymore when I get left to die on my first hook; i expect it.
-
Bio shock infinite was a terrible game.
-
I would say that about 1/5 of my survivor games at rank 1 im playing against an ebony mori. I have around 30 stocked up on my spirit as well. They are very very common.
-
It better be true. We got 9 new perks we gotta grind for help us out a little lol.

We're all guilty of hypocritical opinions.
I absolutely despise facing Spirits, and yet I play her to death.
You?
This is the exact thing I was going to post when I read the title. I love spirit but I also hate her.

I’ve never understood why insta-heals are seen as OP when killers have ample insta-down addons/powers.
-
It’s definitely the biggest. I still can’t believe the trailer made it to #1 on trending.

Lmfao
I don't play as a victim.
Why am I not surprised lmao

That’s fine if that’s how you like to play, just don’t be upset when it happens to you. 🤷🏻♂️

Let me guess, english isn't your first language right?
You do realise that counter has two meaning and that you literaly haven't explain wich one you are using confusing people
I’m referring to a totem counter that counts how many totems remain.
Big yikes with the whole English comment tho. That’s extremely rude to say to someone if you suspect that English isnt their first language. It is btw.

WHAT OTHER COUNTER DO YOU NEED?!?!? If you have a perk that literally just shows you were totems are, thats the best counter you could get! Are you kidding me? Other than breaking the totems for you automatically, which isn't a counter, its just broken. The same as having some perk that auto completes a generator. You still have to do the objective. And if you don't do the objective...OOPS looks like you died~ Its just lazyness on the side of survivors that want quick farming points. And I'll admit I've fallen into that habit a few times while playing survivor, its a bad habit. The same as just running around the map without hiding, its a bad habit, where you may think you're good at looping but there's always going to be a killer thats better who will call you on your bluff mind game you and down you in your arrogance.
How does a totem counter automatically break totems? Oh that’s right, It doesnt. If you want to know why I think a totem counter is necessary and good for this game, I’ve made two discussion posts on it that you can read.
-
The only problem I have with second wind is that it punishes you for getting tunneled. It already has a prerequisite for it to activate so why does it also need the terror radius condition?
-
I stopped running self care as soon as the healing nerfs came out, and I haven’t looked back. Now with Inner Strength and Second Wind just around the corner I will likely never run self care again.
-
Considering every killer since the clown has kept their theme music I would say it’s a safe bet lol
-
Pyramid head and James Sunderland from silent hill. It won’t happen because Konami.
-
The devs have plans to add a wiggling scoring event at some point I believe.

Can't wait to try Mindbreaker on Pig.
Pro:
Survivors can't immediately SB away from a gen when pig surprises them with a dash attack.
Con:
Pig gets successful Dash attack hit, gives survivor the standard strike burst of speed, 3 second timer runs out on Mindbreaker effect and SB activates around the same time as they get hit giving the survivor a double SB effect.
This is just speculation because SB isn't as common as it used to be, so I'm unsure of how effective Mindbreaker will be on Pig, but securing that first dash attack hit on survivors with SB is still a good thing in my book. Nothing makes Pigs Dash attack feel more useless than charging the dash around the corner from a gen, only to come into view and see every survivor SB away and out of range. Mindbreaker will alleviate that frustration, especially in the beginning of the match, but probably also provide a swifter escape for the target survivor after they take the hit. Kinda double edged, but... we'll see.
As for Cruel Confinement... I'm ecstatically anticipating using it on Haddonfield, and having survivors lock themselves in on the 2nd floor of the houses. If they do that against a nasty killer like LF, Shape, or Billy, and the killer is at the base of the stairs, the survivors are screwed. It may actually make playing that map as killer more enjoyable.
I've always said that killers in general should apply a 10% regression to gens when they kick them in order for them the have more pressure on survivors, and prevent the tap and run tactics survivors use around regressing gens. Surge hits all gens within 32m with a kick that does 12% damage and starts regression at the cost of downing a survivor. I can see this becoming a damn near essential perk for killers like Ghost Face who can instant down a survivor with his basic attack after stalking them to full. I'm really looking forward to trying it out.
As for the survivors, I can't wait to see what mind-games I'll be able to play on killers with Fixated by creating misleading scratch mark trails. Second Wind and Inner Strength are investment perks with a good payoff to them that encourage team healing and totem cleansing, which in my mind is fantastic for the game. NOED is gonna have a hard time activating when every survivor starts viewing dull totems as invested med-kits. I'm also extremely confident in my ability to run a killer around, so Babysitter will be great for me to run distraction from killers while my unhooked teammate makes a clean getaway, so I'll definitely use it if only to taunt the killers.
I'm really looking forward to the PTB!
I am curious about the 3 second timer for mind breaker. Will the timer count down while the survivor is running? And yes Haddonfield would probably be one of the best maps for CC, but I can still see it being useless when gens on the the other side of the map get popped. But yeah the rare instance of trapping survivors on the top floor would be so worth it lol. And yes I cannot wait to mess around with Inner Strength and Fixated. I wish I could join the PTB on PS4 :(
-
I believe they only heal one health state, so they would probably work similar to adrenaline. Meaning if you have the BT effect when the perk activates it will only get rid of the mending.

1) true it's Survivors, my bad but that's still good
2) Teammates near you will either come to help you on gen or avoid it while in chase.
I am 95% solo player so I found this way more usefull and interesting then "just 14s on Hook" Once per match.
Don’t get me wrong I’m a solo player 99% of the time too, but I just like perks that give benefits regardless of wether or not you’re swf or solo. Plus as much as I would like to have faith that my teammates would see the gen aura and try to avoid running to me while being chased, there are just too many potatoe/toxic players and I could see someone actually try and bring the killer to me on purpose.
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
So you think 14s longer time on Hook once per match is way better than Perk that helps solo players gen Rush Killer, reveals Killer and on top of that give near Survivors information that you are working on a gen? Hmm?
Also babysitter is good support Perk.
Nah man, that one perk on the Hook is the worst of them all. "Maybe meta..." LOL
Please tell me how it helps solos gen rush? Working on separate generators is actually the best strategy for gen rushing. Also you’re wrong, it does not reveal the killer, only survivors. Plus like I said it’s completely useless if you’re swf, as all the info it gives you can babe shared through voice comms.
So yes, more time on the hook is definitely better than practically useless info.
-
They said they won’t do this because they want to keep struggling “interactive”. The perfect solution is to just make it a hold to struggle. They could even make it an option you can change in settings. Unfortunately no matter how many threads I’ve seen on this the devs just cover their ears and go lalala can’t hear you.
-
Better together is S/A+ tier???? Lmaooooo
-
Second wind would be meta if it healed in terror radius. It would become a must have perk for anti-tunnel builds. As it stand right now, the only perk I see becoming even somewhat meta is inner-strength.
-
Playing Dead By Daylight is toxic.
-
Just happened very recently actually, but this clown brought a mori and downed this Laurie very quickly. Proceeded to facecamp and hit her on hook repeatedly.
Teammate farms her off hook without BT and she gets immediately downed by clown. He then mori spams her, stomping on her head repeatedly for 5-10 minutes. Didn’t care about anyone else. I literally walked up to him and he just looked at me and kept stomping until she died.
I have no clue what that Laurie did to him but that was probably the most toxic thing I’ve ever seen. I’m surprised she didn’t DC.

If you want to jump into a locker while being in a chase and injured, you should use Iron Will.
Edit: You don't need Small Game.
Now that I think about it you’re probably right; iron will would synergize a little better.
-
Hard to say before actually getting it in our hands but I’m just gonna say based off of first appearances, he looks a little weak. But we should definitely wait until we make any final judgements obviously.
-
To me this is the equivalent of killers who lobby dodge swf groups. People leaving because they are afraid there might actually be a challenge.
-
My meta build if I really really want to win is usually: Medkit with extra charge addons, haddonfield offering, balanced landing, BT, DS, and Adrenaline. Unless the killer brings their best stuff it’s usually results in an escape.
-
Until survivors get more objectives ruin is one of the best and almost necessary ways to slow the game down. Yeah I get it, doing gens is boring as hell, but it doesn’t look like survivor objective is changing any time soon.
Edit: I do want to add too that ruin has made me a pro at hitting skillchecks. It becomes less of a hassle the longer you play.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......
