Spirit, trapper, Myers and billy, in that order.
-
White wards are like insurance irl. It doesn’t protect you against everything, but it’s still a good idea to bring it.
-
I really love spirit. From her design to her power to her backstory and lore. All top notch imo.

Or possibly Vigo but I'm pretty sure it'll be that secret librarian character they're creating specifically for the archives.
Oh yeah the observer or the sorcerer I think they’re called.
-
Add a totem counter and NOED is balanced.

It'll probably be a narrator talking about each survivors and killers back story while expanding upon each.
I could see that too. Maybe Benedict baker??

Yosemite trip back in April. Good times :)

Yeah, all of the og survivors and killers have super meh lore and in the case of the original killers sometimes even inaccurate. Boy am I excited for the archives though, can't wait to see just how much they expand upon all of the lore. I wonder though if we'll be able to finally hear the survivors talk?
While that would be super dope if they actually voice acted the characters, I’m betting on either no dialogue or subtitles only. Either way I’m just as excited for the archives and all that juicy lore.

David has the hottest survivor body, but his face... isn't one of the best. As for the face I don't find any of the males particularly hot, but because I'm a #DadFricker, I think Ash is pretty charming.
My favourite female survivor is 100% Jane, but I also find Kate and Meg attractive. All the girls in the game are cute (maybe except Laurie... they did Jamie Lee Curtis dirty).
For killers I'd say Michael. Stalk me daddy.
Bruh how you gonna say David’s ain’t got a cute face??

Exactly! It's so confusing. The pallets and all that is great but I never know where I am or where to go, and because it's different every time it makes it that much harder to learn.
I woulda been fine with a tile/pallet rework and 1 new map for the realm. Maybe do Nancy's house or something, or maybe the warehouse where he was caught by the parents. Or both.
I’m pretty sure the devs said they will only do the map variations for licensed realms since adding new maps entirely would be much more difficult.
-
I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets SUPER lost on these maps lmao.

You can reveal GF if you are within a 32m radius of him by default.
You need to look directly at him for 1.5 seconds for him to be revealed. If this direct eye contact is stopped for too long, it resets the reveal action. That is why some players can reveal GF more easily than others.
What matters is where your camera is looking. If you have clear sight of Ghostface, you’ll start revealing him.
It’s also harder to reveal GF is he’s crouching or leaning.
The detection range is more focused on the center of your screen. If you have sight of GF on the center of your screen for 1.5 seconds, you’ll certainly reveal him.
It’s just really weird to me because sometimes I will be in a chase with him running right behind me in plain view. I will look directly at him for at least 3 seconds and nothing happens. Other times, I see him 30 ft away poking behind a rock and reveal him instantly.
-
Some people will DC if you look at them. This has been a problem for a while now...

I don't agree NOED rewards a Killer for playing badly any more than Adrenaline rewards a Survivor for playing badly.
You spend an entire perk slot maybe to get a bonus in the endgame. So you're playing handicapped. In addition, NOED has a simple counter: do the totems. They're not that hard to do, and they even award BP and now emblem progress as well.
I feel like NOED in its original form, with no time limit or totem counter, was too much. As it stands, it just doesn't seem to be a real problem.
But there still is no totem counter... unless you guys are planning on adding one?

What you mention is a lack of skill problem. Nothing to do with buffs.
Except for that a lot of those problems are solved with voice comms. Closing the gap between solos and swf should be a huge priority, which is why solos need buffs.
-
Because survivor is an afterthought. Killers will always be more interesting since there’s actually something new there. Survivors don’t get anything new besides 3 often underwhelming perks.

I can understand people wanting solo survivors to get buffed, but i personally would hate it.
I like it the way it is right now and love the extra challenge.
Playing solo can just be so frustrating sometimes. You are so dependent on your teammates, and even at red ranks you will often get potatoes. At that point it becomes less of a challenge and more of a slaughter fest. Is it fun an exciting and challenging when you get good teammates? Yeah sure. But what happens more often is watching all 3 of your teammates doing absolutely nothing while you’re about to go to struggle phase on the hook while you have kindred equipped. Or watching Claudette urban around the map for 5 mins looking for ruin instead of working on gens. Or teammates who can’t keep a chase going longer than 5 seconds. Or a million other things that just make you wanna scream. So please just give solos some buffs.
-
Here’s a good one for David:
-
The real question is solo buffs when?
-
Also just a tip for those who might not know; when you miss a ruin skillcheck, stop working on the gen! You won’t be able to progress the gen for a couple seconds, but you can still trigger skillchecks meaning you will most likely do more harm than anything. When you miss a skillcheck just let go for about 2 seconds then hop back on.
-
Ruin has helped me a lot with hitting skill checks. I used to hate ruin when all I’d do is run around the map looking for it, which could literally take like 5 minutes. Then I just decided to try working through it. At first I would miss every skillcheck not making any progress and was getting frustrated, but just kept practicing. Now I can literally hit almost every single skillcheck and barely even notice ruin is there. At red ranks with good teammates I’ve seen all 5 gens pop with ruin up. Overall I’d say it’s balanced and has actually helped me become a better survivor.
-
Survivor gameplay has been extremely stale for a long time. There desperately needs to be some other type of objective added to the base game to spice things up a bit. Also I would like to see new items added every now and then. We have the firecrackers as a holiday thing, but why not make those baseline and even give them some addons? Please just something new for survivors other than 3 underwhelming perks every 3 months.

Happened to me once. All 3 survivors actively tried to bodyblock me while the killer went after no one but me. Turned out all 3 survivors were in the killer's friends list.
I reported all of them back then but still encounter them every now and then.
I had the same exact thing happen to me once. It was even worse because all of them had bond which made it impossible to lose them. Even if I lost the killer, they would always rat me out. Don’t know how but I managed to live for like 15 mins running for my life because the killer was so bad. It was actually kind of sad too because I was showing my friend the game, and that was the very first match he saw. Don’t blame him for not ever touching it now lmao.
-
Can billy just chainsaw himself and die? Then he’ll finally be balanced.
And yes this was sarcasm before anyone asks.
-
Yes playing both roles is usually a good idea if you want to talk about balance.
-
Ok but for real who designed that tile with the horizontal log hidden behind the bamboo? That ######### has gotten me killed so many times smh.
-
This game has never really looked that great, even when it first came out, and it barely runs on consoles as it is. As much as I would love a graphics overhaul I would be worried about console performance.
-
If they just buffed solo players to swf level, this wouldn’t be an issue. But as we’ve seen they ain’t doing that anytime soon.
-
This is why I haven’t prestiged a single character and won’t do so anytime soon. One ketchup covered outfit isn’t incentive enough for me to increase the grind x3.
-
My vote goes for vulnerable. Says exactly what it means.
-
I used to play swf a lot about a year ago, but all my friends stopped playing, so now it’s just solo for me.
-
I’ve played a lot of games and seen a lot of teabagging but for some reason it triggers me so much more in this game lol. Especially if it’s a toxic Claudette with a flashlight. Still though I don’t get THAT upset, definitely not as upset as some killers seem to get.
-
Ok but why Jane sound like she in a porno every time she gets hit tho?
-
Left behind is too meta pls nerf
-
Yep agreed.
-
I for one love how well hidden the totems are on the new maps, it’s a great first step to help improve totems in general. Next step would be to add a totem counter.

Its not hard to understand he need to be at the center of the screen with more than 20% of his body visible. Survivors tend to raise their camera angle to look at close things. Just lower you angle a bit and you will reveal him no problem.
Oh I guarantee you that when I’m looking at him, he is 100% in the center of my screen and visible.
-
Me looking at ghost face in plain view directly in front of me 5ft away: doesn’t reveal him.
Me sees ghost face 30ft away crouched hiding behind a rock: Reveals him instantly.
The reveal mechanic has been super inconsistent for me which is why I don’t like playing as it versing GF
-
I would say spirit just because I am better with her than I am with billy. Both are top tier though.

@PrincessPoop They already confirmed it would in the anniversary stream that announced Rifts.
Rifts will have exclusive cosmetics and every 3 months a new Rift will release. They showed concept art of a shiny glowing blue Rift jacket for Claudette.
Yes I did watch that stream, and I do know about the temporary nature of the rifts, but they never actually specifically said that the cosmetics would be exclusives. There is the possibility that the devs are planning on releasing those cosmetics through the in-game store once the rift period is over, letting those who missed the rift period have the opportunity to still get them for a higher price. It’s most likely just wishful thinking on my part, and you’re most likely right, but I’m still going to stay hopeful until the devs 100% confirm otherwise.
-
As excited as I am for the archives, my biggest worry is that the battlepass will introduce timed exclusive skins. It is possible that I’m wrong though as the devs have not answered any questions regarding it though so one can still hope.

I'm not even going to read this thread. I'm just going to reply to the topic and say that no, a totem counter will not nullify every hex perk. That is a ludicrous statement. A totem counter would simply give solo players the same information that SWF already has. Information that doesn't somehow magically render all hex perks useless. If anything, this would be a good thing for killers. If survivors are running around breaking totems guess what they aren't doing? Working generators.
But this is exactly why you should read threads, because if you did, you’d realize that I’m actually agreeing with you. 😂

Maybe but they shouldnt be trying to make them the same as swf is already considered a massive balance issue..plus..any info gain will help them as well so it's a tough issue to fix..hence why I would prefer it to require a perk instead of being base so at least itll be at least at a cost
Well I believe, and many others do too, is that the best way to balance this game is to bring solos up to the level of swf, and then buff killers accordingly. And while I can think of a ton of changes that could be made to help achieve this, I feel adding a totem counter is just one small little thing that could help solos out a little. But this is why I also think it should be baseline and not be added to small game. Why should solos have to bring a perk that swf already get for free? Why do people think punishing solos is the best way to balance survivors?
