    Survivors:

Detective Tapp: Because playing as a Detective is fun, trying to save people and end a Lovecraftian beings reign of terror makes me feel like i am the main protagonist of a Lovecraft novel. Plus i like his whole look and feel, been wanting some kind of POC Detective in this game for a long while now, glad my wish was granted.

Jane Romero: I'm going to be honest, i love her body type and i can't wait to start playing her, i kind of also ship her with Tapp simply because i can and i did.

Adam Francis: Imagine being a supernatural killer that is supposed to be feared throughout the realm and you get outran by a schoolteacher in his mid 30s to early 40s

Meg Thomas: Just love the look and feel of her, i feel like a race-car when i play her.

Dwight Fairfield: Being the underdog is fun, trying to avoid the killer and help your team is probably the reason why i mained him when i first started.

David King: It's a love/hate relationship with him, i like his story and i like how he is trying to redeem himself, but i don't like who he was prior to being taken by The Entity.

Jeff Johansenn: Will probably be my least played survivor tbh, he feel so slow and bulky, doing things he shouldn't be doing like vaulting windows and stuff. I think that he would have the most trouble avoiding the killer, which is weird because one of his perks is supposed to hid his presence from the killer.

    Killers:

Spirit: Love the whole feel of her, and she is so fun to play as, just when you think you've lost her, she is right back on your tail again. Her whole design is amazing, i think she is probably maybe 3rd on the tier list replacing Huntress, she has a terrifying presence and i just love the look and feel of exacting her fury on unsuspecting survivors.

Hillbilly: Love his massive map pressure, i still can't make those sharp turns like most billy mains, but i have had people tell me i am a pretty terrifying billy, not as terrifying as Spirit though.

Wraith: Love how he managed to start from the bottom and move on up, he holds a special place in my heart, although i think he is best strongest when the end game arrives.

Huntress: I don't have a crosshair like most people that put in the massive amount of hours into her, and she used to be my main, but now i don't know if i really like her.

Legion: Hate them and anyone that plays them. They are literally nothing but the worst of the worst, playing Legion is like putting milk first and then putting in cereal, ya stab, and then you hook.

She replaced Hag. Huntress is 5th currently. Top 4 are the untouchable ones. Spirit, Nurse, Billy and Hag in that order. My opinion btw. But they are far above the other killers. Huntress and Myers are 5th and 6th respectively but not as good.

Btw if you respond @ me since I dont get notifications when I'm quoted it's a bug.

  • My top 5

Spirit (I main her, her mindgames are purely beautiful and she's amazing)

Hag (I main her, shes basically joint with Billy and so fun to fly around with her with STBFL.)

Wraith (I've always loved him and now he's an upper mid tier killer. He's able to hold his own where most killers can't and is amazing)

Myers (I just love the feeling of fear and power as killer)

Billy (so fun to fly across the map)

    My least 5

Nurse (I find her boring to play since she's pretty much an effortless 4 man once your good WITH her. She's quite boring to play)

Leatherface (more like looperable or camperface. I wish he was a viable killer he has so much potential)

Clown (he's flat out boring to play)

Huntress (i dont know, shes strong but boring for me)

Trapper (I'm good with him but I find him rather boring)

@Poweas I’m glad to see that Spirit is working out for you. Whispers is certainly a good perk to use, I just don’t like The Entity constantly mumbling in my ear. Monitor and Abuse is also great since Spirit already has a low terror radius. Just try out different builds and see what works best for you.

Wait I got a question about M&A, does it keep ur terror radius increase when you start phasing when in chase? If it does then I'm going to run it.

@PigNRun I promise that I'm not trying to destroy the Nurse's viability, I even play her on a daily basics and I absolutely love her! However, the reason why I'm changing her is because it upsets me that she doesn't interact with pallets as much as other killers, ya know? I just want her to be like the Spirit where you can ignore pallets if you're good with her power but if you fail the mind game, you might have to deal with a pallet.

Yeah Spirit is far too punishing,

While we never really agree on anything I respect @Orion and he is a quite polite and constructive person.

    Yeah and really honest.

  • @fluffybunny, Orion and @Wolf74 are my favourite posters. Always so chill. @No_Mither_No_Problem and @KiraElijah are great people to talk to as well.

  • I meet them all the time. If there's someone who's obviously toxic in your lobby, run Billy and face camp them with the saw if they be toxic. Beautiful solution.

  • I love how in depth you go about the nerfs, well written.

facepalm I can't believe you actually went there... This toxic community NEVER FAILS to NOT surprise me.

I point out a glaring flaw:

“That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.” –** Christopher Hitchens**.

It's not a glaring flaw, you pointed out something you disagreed with and claimed it was a glaring flaw. Just because you claim it's a design flaw doesn't make it so.

    I'm just a bad player.

Glad we agree on that, it's the 1st step in moving on and becoming a better player.

I point out that you refuse to see the flaw:

No you point out that I refuse to accept your baseless and inaccurate claim of a design flaw. The only flaw here is with your refusal to accept you're wrong and it's not a design flaw.

    I'm just a butthurt troll.

Well again it's nice for you to admit it again.

What's next? Because I'm pointing out how toxic you are that I am "part of that toxic community" and that a person like you never does any wrong and is the most perfect and best player in all the multiverse?

Ah yes the typical Straw Man and Ad Hominem when you basically admit you have no real argument so you've go to resort to logical fallacies galore.

Still reading?(inb4 you say that you didn't bother reading any of this even though you did) Good. Because what I said was that you allowed being a fanboy to blind you to the glaring flaws in this game.

No you resorted to the typical troll insults because you knew you had no real argument and your made up claims got debunked.

Also: If calling you a "fanboy" is an insult then I'd LOVE to see what "a complement" looks like.

    noun
    1.
a male fan, especially one who is obsessive about comics, music, movies, or science fiction.

Huh, that's funny. It's not defined as an insult at all, in fact, I'd say it was the opposite of an insult! But what do I know, right? I'm just a butthurt troll according to you.

Ah yes more troll nonsense because you still have nothing, what's next more insults and childish behavior most likely given how quickly you went troll.

But do tell how a intentional design aspect is a design flaw when it's working as intended whereas Legions Moonwalking exploit is in fact a design flaw.

In easy to understand terms that means it's a design flaw or not working as intended.

Powerbats you have the best of responses lol I had a good laugh at that one. Well written.

Legion and Hag are actually closer than you'd think. The difference is that Legion's power helps him make sure that NOBODY is lurking by his generators while the Hag's power helps her move around, provided survivors trigger the traps. Both killers excel at holding a position and denying repairs in an area.

They're not close what drugs are you on? Hag is the 4th best killer almost as strong as Billy and Legion is towards the bottom. Legion can't even compare to Hag. But in terms of how they use their power, they're pretty similar but different in terms of which is more effective.

  • Yeah it sucks and it's boring to play against. But meh. It's only a matter of time before it's GONE.

  • Rin be working it out for me >:) that's an old keyboard emoji btw it's basically the same as the devil smiling one😈

I completely agree with this, if the TR is only on them for say 12 seconds that's not good enough for any real use from the Killer. Pair it with Unnerving Presence well so what they'll be Self-Caring alone and the Killer won't reach a Gen in 12 seconds because it's not enough time for Tinkerer either. 25-30 seconds minimum would make this good because it will give the Killer ample time to sneak up on someone or to divide the Survivors.

I'm excited for the Gen perk myself, I hope it's like Deja Vu and happens every time a Gen is completed. If it's literally JUST at the start of the match it's a waste of a perk slot, oh yay 10 seconds who the ######### cares.

I just thought of an amazing idea. Once every gen is completed, the perk also blocks the closest 3 gens to the completed one for 20 seconds.

  • what does she look like?

  • I hate that they're using a bandaid to fix genrushing. I want it fixed but not with a bandaid. @not_Queen or @Patricia can you tell me if the devs will focus on genrushing itself or use perks? Not trying to be hostile but genuinely curious.

  • I think she's somewhat attractive compared to other killers.

  • @Wolf74 said:

I main killer and when I play survivor I am ~98% solo and even I know that I only get killed because my team played stupid.

If every survivor plays half way decent, it's a piece of cake.

That's why SWF is an issue. People eliminate the bad teammates with it and the Devs still try to balance around the "some people play bad"-idea.

Survivor is quite easy tbf. And not stressful at all. I only play it once every 15 killer games to relieve my stress.

  • She's surprisingly pretty tbf, kind of like Huntress.

  • Yeah. This killer might be really OP if the drawback is big or just another Legion.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346615#Comment_346615

Sure. It doesn't have any particular synergy with Spirit but it's just a good perk in general.

Thanks. I really value your advice.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346594#Comment_346594

Whispers is always good too. You could also use Rancor to be able to ignore DS

@NuclearBurrito would Sloppy be good? I've been trying that recently and it seems solid.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

@Poweas Glad to see that's working out for you.

If I were you I would try to replace striddor with a different perk such as Spies from the shadows.

You can use other perks but SFTS is particularly good on the spirit because it often procs mid chase and can tell you where you need to be mid phasing while aura perks don't work while using her power.

@NuclearBurrito my problem with it is, it's not as good. Got another perk for that slot? Since Stridor was messing up my accuracy.

  • @Wolf74 said:

    @Poweas

It is what it is. Many survivor mains I argued with are unable to even do simple calculations.

"SC benefits the killer. Gen rush doesn't exist. Just switch targets"

Even if you do the math for them to explain that they are wrong, they deny everything and ask for further nerfs to killer.

    How would you call that?

"DS is fine. SC is needed. Nerf Noed. Freddy op. Legion = DC. Killer dodging needs to get punished, but trading blacklists for MLGA is ok."

So many survivor show so terrible doublestandards in this forum.

@Wolf74 Fair enough I guess. It's surprising me and you agree now. Probably because I now completely main killer and see the toxicity myself. But please try to ignore them and see the good survivors.

  • @MegMain98 and @NuclearBurrito I did it without addons and a decent build. Got this

    https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1673271523

    against a toxic SWF. :P.

That guy DC so his buddy could get hatch btw. He was last 2.

I feel like you guys were right.

Btw they used the instaheal and 2 of the 3 DS. I didnt bother chasing the obsession.

  • @Orion I believe I did... What a grave crime.. Hypocrisy at its finest.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346245#Comment_346245

@Poweas I say "pretending" because the implication in your comment as a general statement that killer nerfs should not be discussed, followed by your assertion that the forum is "killer sided", is that most people here are biased toward killers.

@Orion thanks for listening to me with the quote thing (strange bug huh, do you get it?) And I'm sorry if I implied something. I obviously think killer nerfs and buffs should be discussed I'm sorry if I came across as someone who didnt. But don't go assuming things about me, I'm a strange man ok? But yeah I apologise for any misconceptions you may have had. Good afternoon (or morning or night depending on where you live)

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346214#Comment_346214

So why are you pretending that the forum being "killer sided", as you called it, is due to bias rather than recognition of the game's unbalanced state?

@Orion I'm not pretending that it's killer sided. Im stating a fact. I never said it's due to bias, I simply said it's a killer sided forum. Stop twisting my words. God damn. I know the game is unbalanced, genrushing is insane, all it takes is one smart survivor to destroy a killer and survivors are in control. I literally play killer at rank 1 I experience this everyday like you do. Stop twisting my words and looking for an argument in which I will be honest btw if you respond you have to @ me since I dont seem to be getting notifications if im quoted.

  • @Wolf74 said:

    @Orion @Poweas

Of course the forum is "killersided", because a) killer are rarely play exclusive killer, but also survivor at least a bit. But a lot of survivor play ONLY survivor and do not care or don't even understand how it is to play killer b) the survivor are the stronger side, so they don't go to the forum to complain, but play happy go lucky and pad themselves on the shoulder for being so skillful c) killer have actual arguments, reason and logic supporting their complains, while survivor are just emotional, entitled and offended. So they "loss" their debates and leave at some point to get replaced by the next very vocal survivor main complaining and the same killer mains need to explain everything again. (like how math works)

That's a complete set of lies. I agreed with you until point C @Wolf74. As a former neutral player, I'd like to say that not all survivors are entitled or offended. And CERTAINLY not all killers are logical or reasonable. I thought you of all people, would not believe in such petty little stereotypes.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/345525#Comment_345525

Maybe because we who play both sides realize that survivors are powerful.

@Orion stop assuming I think that survivors are weak. I know they're still OP compared to killers. I think solo survivor is BORING not weak. I play specifically Killer because of that.

  • @LCGaster said:

As a Wraith main I have to say that I kind of agree with you but I feel like 176% is a bit too much, 136/146% would be already better than 126% but 176% is too much. One thing I would like is to make his stealth more viable, I think he should be completely invisible when far away from survivors, so that he has a better chance to get close to them. He can be very strong right now and making the reappearance animation shorter is unnecessary.

Like you have to be within 16m? Also, trust me 176% is a good number

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Leatherface: less movement penalty and/or less charge time.

Pig: remove addons tat dont affect rbt ( make them basekit). Have addons affect BOTH RBT and ambush

Doctor: slightly better shock range, less delay on the actual shock.

Myers needs multistalk back and somehow regenerating evil to stalk .Also the stalk rates of his addons werent adjusted when they removed the multistalk etc.

Not really playing the other killers but clown doesnt get slowedmdown while winding up his throw, as far i know.

After he throws it, he gets slowed while the bottle is there.

  • @Master said:

No and this should be common sense.

Also, creating a fun killer does not mean that he cant be good aswell.

@Master Spirit is a good example of that.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/345114#Comment_345114

Sad lie. Most of the people on this forum play both sides, which is why we tell people like the OP to use the long list of counters NOED has, while simultaneously telling people who think the Nurse should be buffed to git gud.

@Orion be honest, this is an incredibly killer sided forum.

  • Well she is the strongest killer... But well done, shes so fun to play.

  • @MegMain98 are you sure she can be played with brown addons? Because I find myself reliant on her yellow addons to perform mindgames. But I'll try it for you.

@NuclearBurrito I'll try her again without addons. I got a 4 red and 32k BP game as her without addons once. I was sure it's a fluke. I'll try her without addons again and show you the results. I doubt it'll be pretty. But I might be bad as her :P

  • @TAG said:

Just my opinion, but I don't think Killers should be able to get by easily without using add-ons (except for really low in the ranks where the newbies are). They shouldn't be obligated to use only the high-rarity add-ons or very specific ones if they don't want to suck, but I think they should feel like they're at least somewhat at a disadvantage if they go without add-ons. Kinda like a hard mode.

BP is scarce man, I struggle getting it. I think all killers should have a fair chance like Nurse, Billy, Huntress and Pig do.

  • @Delfador and @thekiller490490 let me point out that I can play Spirit without addons.

I have got a 32k BP game with a 4 reds as her. Not to brag though. But she feels so bad without addons. I'm sure It's just because I'm used to her yellow addons but others think it too.

  • @Eveline said:

Which killers are good without add ons?

I am asking because saving bp is my priority atm.

    Nurse, Billy, Huntress and Pig.

  • @PwnyFish said:

    Spirit is fine..

Her base is trash. She might be second best/best killer with addons but without them, she's bad. I mean shocking.

  • Yeah ######### people who run DS it's unfair and unfun.

  • @Master said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/49676/i-have-one-rule

    Sounds fair.

I have my made up rules aswell and if the survivors dont follow them, then I wont follow theirs eiither

How does that sound fair? The OP is basically saying don't play the game or I'll ruin your fun.

  • Spirit gets the effects of Yakuyoke Amulet in her base kit.

  • I think it'd be broken.

  • @Dreamnomad said:

Must be console with the number of nurses you've ran into. Otherwise I'd have to think that a lot of people exaggerate on the internet!

She's not a fun killer to play because once you master her, the constant 4 mans gets extremely boring. So she's not as common at high ranks on PC. You'll still face a few but not a lot. Killers like Billy are overused because he's fun to play.

  • @ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG said:

Switch to billy and get good with him that's your only option. He has amazing map mobility and a one shot down at all times if you use steering add ons. Any other killer is too slow and takes too long to kill anyone

Nurse does well too. If you're good with Hag you can pressure the map enough to win. Spirit can down a team within 20 seconds so yeah, shes a good pick. She's also the second strongest killer.

  • @Peasant said:

I remember I played a match as Hillbilly a week or so ago, having just gotten to rank 5 mind you. I swapped out HEX: Ruin for Tinkerer just to see: ",How bad could it really be?"

    It was that bad.

The flashes and noise notifications still echo in my head.

I think I managed to get one kill by rev camping a hooked person by an open gate.

The rank isn't too bad honestly as you get enough points and some games last longer than others. But yeah, HEX: Ruin is far more important at those ranks than any of the lower ones.

Surprising, I find Billy to be one of the only killers where ruin is a waste of a slot. Billy and Nurse don't need it for me. Try him out again without Ruin. I do well at rank 1 without it.

1 … 62 63 64 65 66 … 108
