You're implying the increased recovery has it back up immediately after your hit even when also using it to get the first?
No hell no, but it comes up super quick, maybe 8 seconds or something insane like that.

Looping a good Spirit is possible if the survivor mains Spirit as their killer. I'm pretty good at looping a Spirit when I play survivor, because I know when to keep looping, and when to run to the next loop, used pallet or not.
What I don't understand is when people try to self-care at pallets against a spirit. I had two people d/c on me because i downed them at pallets while they were self-caring. It's a good time.
Ikr? It's so dumb, she can get you without you noticing πππ

Well if you are instaphasing right after hitting them then you didn't use it to get your first hit. That means you ran them down for a while. Survivors that are even half competent aren't getting ran down by a huntress with no hatchets. This means you are generally landing your first hit from a spirit phase against actually good survivors. This also means it won't be off cooldown after that hit. So essentially STBFL doesn't work well on Spirit unless you're playing against potatoes.
Ok I see. I just use Yakuyoke Amulet and that green recovery addon.

I like what it does, donβt like that it takes a long time to build stacks for, also donβt like that you are discouraged from chasing any target at will when it takes 4 hits to actually begin to feel the momentum.
For me, my gamestyle is to spread the pain anyway, which is why I have no problem reaching 5 stacks early game.
-
@vampire_toothy said:
Mother-daughter ring is a tricky one, its drawback requires you to be more accurate at predicting the survivor rather than tracking them. STBFL has always been one of my favorite perks to use on spirit to cut down the distance as much as possible so personally I'd recommend either combining it with more speed (to cover more ground faster), duration (to make up for if you lose the survivor or for more mobility like with the speed addon) or activation time (to absolutely minimize the distance lost as others have said).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/397408#Comment_397408
Also, I believe all the addons for spirit stack with each other. It's why you can get some fun combinations like Katana Tsuba + Wakazashi Saya or those two passive phase addons.
@vampire_toothy the Wakazashi Saya and Katana Tsuba combo is ONLY fun for the killer. The survivors hate it. I remember using it and the survivors said I was more difficult to verse than a 5 blink Nurse. And I was right after their 5 blink Nurse game πππ. They were a SWF with 3 toolboxes, 1 medkit and perfectly coordinated but they still lost. That combo is so dirty πππππ

Use Bloodhound too if you are using Father's Glasses. It helps sooooo much.
But mother daughter ring makes it so you can't see the marks?

@Blueberry said:
I think it's pretty good on most killers. Spirit is actually one of the few killers I think it's bad on.
Can you elaborate? I find it awesome to hit them and instaphase saving them from gaining a lot of distance.
-
Ty guys, I'll just pair it with Fathers glasses and sloppy, ez tracking.

It's such a strange addon.

@Delfador said:
I don't like it.
It is really difficult to break BBQ, ruin, enduring and spirit fury combo.
For killers like spirit hag nurse that do not follow this meta, there are still better perks to use imo.
It is one of those good perks that are not 'good enough' to pick up because of other good perks.
Yeah it is quite overshadowed. I still like itπ

A off-brand streamer beat me on a trial I was casually playing on a weaker killer. I was just grinding BPs and not even using add-ons, trying to make the game fun for everyone. Super casual, laid back game on amazing internet I think most survivors would be thankful for. This guy decides to BM me at the exit gates to look cool for all 8 of his viewers.
As luck would have it, I got him again in my lobby the next trial. So what do I do? Grab Billy, equip some add-ons, meta perks, Ivory and play a map. Find him first, instantly hook him. Buzz off to the side of the map and did a U-turn to double back on the same hook as his predictable SWF team unhooks him. Insta down him and mori him. I wrecked his game and smacked around his SWF afterwards.
Ofc dude hangs around his lobby to talk smack afterwards. But he was pretty furious after I checked the vod on his stream, "rhee I hope he comes in here to talk smack so I can ban him rheeee". Pretty funny, but he got what he deserved. Toxic people cry the hardest when you beat them at their own game.
Yeah π I can be pretty toxic if I want to, I love how mad they get when you beat them ππ

@Acesthetiic said:
I think it's good for certain killers. It CAN work with all killers, but it's better suited for killers who can take advantage of it more consistently like Spirit. I also have found that it's pretty nice on Clown with his bottles providing a nice combo. It's pretty interesting with hag with the traps. I have to explore some timings and distance to see the real potential.
Yeah I need a genius to help me with the maths behind it. Normally when a survivor gets hit, with a normal cooldown, they can get a ton of distance, but with STBFL they get way less. Can someone clarify the numbers for me though?

Bamboozle is not necessary on Billy, once you learn how to curve with him you pretty much negate any window in the entire game.
Ruin gives you a couple of seconds on the match if It doesnt get demolished, even Billy struggles without it if going against efficient survivors.
Bamboozle I just like to use, I know a bit of the curving, (where you charge at the edge and down them by flicking right). But I once versed a sweaty SWF in the ASYLUM with Balanced Landing (all 4) and abuse of god windows, and I drew without Ruin. They had a key so I missed my 3k, (woulda let last guy get hatch they had me on edge). Naturally, I realised Ruin is unnecessary because I didn't have it leveled back then and still did well.
So I don't think killers should have ruin tbh, it's not that helpful and a perk like Pop Goes the Weasel is better used.

@GrootDude said:

@Poweas I think this is the sole reason I do better with leatherface than hillbilly. No bamboozle yet but leatherface doesnβt have ruin. You do much better without ruin. :)
@TreemanXD once you get used to it, you see how good it is without ruin, but it's more difficult, because you must create gen pressure andmost killers would rather be lazy and rely on it,
-
@tt_ivi_99 my advice is don't use ruin, and use Bamboozle, you can basically end every chase in 10-20 seconds and apply gen pressure instantly.
I think Ruin is unnecessary on a killer like Billy, Nurse or Spirit. They can patrol gens so easily, even Hag can do well without it and she sacrifices around 2 gens setting up.
In short, I think you got a little too used to ruin to apply the proper pressure. I might be wrong though. I don't want Billy nerfed btw.

Alright, I had a debate with myself of whether i should comment on it or not because i didn't know if @Poweas was being serious. But i guess that's because i saw Jane in there and didn't think of it as much lol. But, here we go.
I will try my hardest to not be biased
David King: A young,steadfast individual, David would most likely be able to hold his own against Jeff and MAYBE Tapp, Jane on the other hand seems like someone who might have taken a few self defense classes, so if anything she may have the upper hand as well.
Jeff Johansenn: I'm going to be honest, I don't think Jeff would be able to win at all, His eyesight as well as being someone who i don't think would even get into a fight would come into play drastically, i see him mostly as someone who would be trying to calm things down, than actually trying to fight.
Detective Tapp: He is in law enforcement, so i don't doubt him having some kind of fighting style, i think i would compare it to the likes of David King. The only downside being is his age, he's in his mid to late 50s, so he can fight, but not for long.
Jane Romero: Being as one of her perks is to literally tackle the killer, i think she might be able to hold her own if it came down to it, in a way, i feel as if she would really be able to give David King a run for his money.
Conclusion: Tapp would be able to knock out jeff easily. But would have some trouble with David King to the point to where he would be knocked out himself, Then, still reeling from Adrenaline, David and Jane would be the last two, and Jane having the tendency to knock the wind out of people bigger than her, easily is able to take out David with either a good right hook or a simple spear to the gut, making her. The sole victor.
@Detective_Jonathan I love it, and also a similar thing to what i thought. Jane would win because she's actually able to take on a killer 'head on' π, and being able to stun a Trapper like this is an insane feat in itself.

Allowing me to farm and escape when the whole team DCs is probably the classic story, but tbh just generally playing fair is the thing that I appreciate more than anything.
You get unhooked when the killer is near and even though they clearly see you, they go after the unhooker instead.
God bless those killers (a rare breed).
I'm like that, unless I'm in a bad situation.

first off I dont have spirit and I suck as nurse
secondly Im not entitled but if I could get one EVER thatd be nice
third the game is not on hold if I do nothing because they can still do gens and escape via exit
lastly she did escape and had the lowest score she didnt earn it and was not entitled to escape just because the game has a flaw
my point in posting this is to ask for a possible change and advice on how to prevent hatch standoff
I apologize if I come off as a -Donkey of sorts- Im just upset that the game being broken prevents me from actually playing the game
Honestly, I'd have still gave it to her, less experienced survivors tend to struggle more and it's nice to let them do something for once. If she got so little points, then she's probably finding her feet and learnt to do a hatch standoff from Ochido. Unless it was a toxic team, I never camp the hatch.
Good day. βΊ

Yesterday, a survivor was trying to be toxic and click their flashlight at me twice, so I was like OK, I'll play around with you, and then I nodded at them every time I downed them, and especially when their DS was rendered useless by my Enduring.
So they were eliminated about 8 minutes before the game ended because I found a Kate who was dead on hook but felt bad for her since I didn't even let her do a gen because she kept running at me.
The Claudette was there in the post game chat and said 'Why did you nod at me?' I responded with 'LOLOLOLOLOLOLL don't click your flashlight and be salty if toxicity is returned, just because I'm a default Billy doesn't mean I'm bad' (100% he plays fortnite).
Then he's says 'I wasn't toxic' and I was just dying on my seat ππππ. The funny thing is, he stopped being toxic after our first chase, where I mindgamed him so hard and he begun to feel a lot of pressure not because he 'wasn't toxic'. But I continued because he was quite bad ππππ.
Moral of the story is, don't try to trigger a good Billy otherwise they'll mess you up. π
-
Well done.
-
Aren't you holding it hostage by being too arrogant to let them leave? She made it too one gen, let her live, you're not entitled to a 4k every time. Not to be offensive, but that's my view on it.
Run a slugging build on Nurse or Spirit if you want a 4k.
