@TreemanXD we'll see... Time will tell. I'm probably not going to be around DBD for as long as you. I'm starting to get bored of this game tbh.
-
@TreemanXD It gets boring after a while. I think you'll go off her tbh.
-
@TreemanXD she's fun to learn... but when you master her, she's too easy and gets boring quickly. But learning her is a lot of fun
-
@TreemanXD Nurse is confirmed to be getting a nerf. Most likely addons though. The top killer will be Spirit anyway. And I don't think the mindgame will fail if you have faster charge time addons or if you've got the survivors in an awkward position.
But yeah, Nurse will be nerfed pretty bad.
-
@TreemanXD definitely.
Also you hyped for his rework? I might main him officially. It looks SOOO good. He's probably going to replace Billy as fourth tbh if they add the snares.
The tierlist will be Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Freddy and Billy lol.
He can be a beast now, but with that new power, his potential will be insane. The gen pressure will be nuts if he has cooldown addons and he'll be mobile on larger maps.
Another little feature is using the gens thing, you could potentially mindgame the shack if he has no animation for using it. And if he has addons to make him teleport to gens faster, then the shack could easily be shut down if a gen is in there.
That's a little feature he has to make him so strong. And combine that with dream snares, to eliminate loops, and he's pretty [BAD WORD] strong. He might even be above Hag if they get the numbers right. And above Hag means unbeatable when mastered...
I genuinely might main him. On maps like Yamaoka estate, he'll be able to traverse it faster if he utilises that teleport to get across the map which covers about 50m in the 5 seconds from one side to the other. And right now, he'll manage 23m in the same time.
Insane rework!

With me, I choose brown addons/base on Spirit for a weird reason. I like to be challenged and if I mess up once, I lose which makes it oddly satisfying to run brown addons/ using her base.
@MegMain98 is the same I think.
Also, after a stressful game, I stomp survivors with OP ones.
-
I ######### love Spirit. Undoubtedly my favourite killer. She's fun as both sides and satisfying. I just love her too much!
-
On Myers, definitely bamboozle. Also welcome back, I'm not too active so I didn't get to say it on the day you came back. We missed you.

You run lightweight on you, making your running footsteps moderately/considerably/tremendously quieter.
@TheGameZpro3 in return, they could make Predator make the footsteps moderately/considerably/tremendously louder! You're a genius.
-
@TreemanXD you can stop survivors 'making you chase them' just slap the gen and if they keep running at you, let them, they're not pressuring gens are they.

Then there's the answer to your problem. New Legion isn't that bad. You keep telling Survivors to adapt but how about you adapt yourself. Or are you just a big hypocrite?
@Mikeadatrix my exact thoughts too.
-
@TreemanXD you do realise that you shouldn’t have chased the dude right? Also who’s relies on range addons as Freddy?
-
@TreemanXD it doesn’t cost him the whole game though. And yes, I’ve had many games where one bad phase made me lose.
-
@TreemanXD you mean stall POTENTIAL yes?
Nope still way easier than having to never mess up your power otherwise you lose.
-
And I actually predicted the bait :P

How would that work with Trapper?
From what i understand, you would allow Trapper players to go on any map by himself and allow him to walk around, setting Bear Trap spawn locations for when he plays a real match.
Does that sound correct?
Cause if i got it right, won't there be a ton of collision problems?
Just an example: If i set a Bear Trap on a tile with 4 I walls, and then the next match has that tile actually contain a T & L wall instead, my Bear Trap might clip into one of the walls due to the tile not containing what i had before, rendering it unusable.
@Boss correct.
Maybe the tile could have a warning that the traps may be bugged and they should be placed outside of the tiles?
Or it could not let the traps spawn there? I think that'd work.

These are balance changes for hag. Quality of life changes are where they don't effect the actual interactions themselves, things like UI changes, adding animations, rewording things or changing the specific input requred to preform an action.
If the line would be anything that does more than helping a player get the most out of an ability that would otherwise require specific executions (such as auto aim on nurse). This is a balance change since it would reduce the effectiveness of the flashlight vs her rather than just the consistency or ease of use. Regardless of if it is a good change or not the title is misleading.
@NuclearBurrito corrected it, can I have your feedback on it?

Survivors are loud af at the moment. LIke, REALLY loud. That goes for healthy (Breathing) and Injured (moans). So people who did not use Iron Will yet should think about using it.
@Aven_Fallen you got used to the bugged ones, it's actually supposed to be this loud. Now it's finally back, to normal, I'm quite happy.
Thanks for helping us out with the sounds @Peanits I know you passed on a lot of messages about it for me :)
-
A ridiculously skilled team can stomp her, like any other killer. With addons, she dominates.
-
Nurse is easily beatable.
-
I respect them all equally, including the forum mods.
-
-
I'd run Make your choice, A Nurses calling, Sloppy butcher and Save the best for last. Insane hook and healing pressure. You gotta have perfect traps though and not mess up since ur vulnerable to genrush, run Ruin instead of Sloppy butcher if you don't feel comfortable with the vulnerability.

ok. and what about make your choice? also whats wrong with bbq
@jackkn12 Hag has enough mobility to not need it. Plus survivors step into your traps so you track that way. It's only good for bloodpoints.
Also, Make your choice is great too.
-
Bbq holds you back as Hag so replace that for Sloppy butcher or Save the best for last. They’re godlike on Hag
-
Spirit, Billy and Nurse are broken with Surveillance.
For MYC, mainly Hag, Spirit and Nurse.
-
Will cross platform be available once this game comes to switch and mobile? Because the player base would shoot up in numbers.

@Poweas Every killer also doesn't have an instadown so we can't think of that as baseline. If we assume the unhooked farms the player, the killer will need to hit the unhooker, hook them and then chase after the survivor who got unhooked. This already gives the survivor a huge headstart.
The survivors are a team. If one screws up, it hurts the whole team.
@PolarBear That was an example of how it'd be terrible if they nerfed it that way. I know every killer has no instadown.

@Poweas Surveillance is really good against immersed survivors because once you’ve kicked the generator and are starting to walk away, they’ll tap it or start working on it again and you can phase over to them and grab them off the generator.
I don’t need Ruin as Spirit but I use it due to the fact that I can be pretty blind at times especially to Claudette players. They will lick every single wall they can find. I can’t waste time trying to find immersed survivors when three gens are gonna pop before I can even find somebody.
I snowball a lot with Spirit. I can down three survivors in about thirty seconds if they are too altruistic. Just last night a downed a Dwight and Meg got an unhook. I got within terror radius and phased and downed the guy she was healing. Needless to say it didn’t take but about ten seconds to down the Meg. This was all within the span of thirty to fourty-five seconds. Spirit is an amazing killer at snowballing.
Of course I have bad rounds but about 90% of my Spirit rounds end up with them not fixing the last generator. Same goes with Hag.
I’ve been playing as Spirit pretty much since her release...not trying to sound egotistical but I’m pretty damn amazing with her. If a player can follow sounds and have good headphones then anybody can do great with her. I honestly believe anybody can play her if they put enough time into learning her playstyle.
Billy is kinda map dependent. He can do good on any open map but when you get Lery’s or Yamaoka it becomes an issue. It’s just not hard to fly across the map and get on the back of a survivor and insta-down them. Maybe he isn’t “braindead” like a stated but it’s not hard to learn Billy. I just find him very boring to play as and play against.
@MegMain98 he is easy in comparison to Spirit, I agree.
Also, yeah if people put the time in, she's an extremely rewarding killer.
-
@Boss unsafe pallets have the shortest walls ever. I mean those are not fine.
Some walls where the killer AND survivor can mindgame are what we need.
-
@DingDongs no problem.

@rch614 said:
For starters you should try and place traps further from the hook than normal. A lot of survivors assume it's close to it and flash around it. This'll trip it early so you can get back.
Franklin's is nice.
Try and put traps in weird locations as well. That's what comes to my mind.
I'm pretty interested in how @Poweas handles flashlights as Hag though. Any tips?
@rch614 I don't main Hag anymore, but I'll say how I used to handle them.
To the OP, Running Franklins works well. But I have a build where it would never fit in. Against flashlights, I trap one half of the map where they AREN'T. Protect 4 gens there. Give them the other half, the second you get the first hook, place your traps further as @rch614 said.
Basically, if you placed it properly, the flashlighter will run into it thinking you placed the trap underneath the hook and you can just demolish them in chase.
It all comes down to good trapping, (routes, loops but in an unpredictable manner) and making sure they're not watching you to wait and flashlight it once you go.
I once got bullied by a SWF as Hag a LONG time ago, and I learnt from it. Try to identify where you went wrong.
Hag has an amazing snowball so if you down someone, and a trap is triggered, down the other, bait the flashlight save and have 3 down and hooked. Find the other with ur perk and win.
It's hard to perform, but that's how to hard counter flashlighters as Hag.

Only 1 survivor remain and hooked
They activate Deliverance and run away
Get downed in near exit gate and gate are open
If i don't grab em, they escape with baby walk (also 60 sec is enough to escape)
If i grab em, DS activate and tbag me
I mean what the f- else i'm gonna suppose to do when this situation happen again?
And don't shove your nosehole with your finger and yell me this still count as stupid tunnel when there's only 1 survivor are remain
@DingDongs if one survivor remains, slug them for 10 seconds, then hook them, it won't let them Deliverance because it instakills them. Such an easy solution, anyone can see that.
Or just hook them during the game .------. It's that simple.

@Poweas The only people who think Spirit is braindead easy are people that have never played her and don’t understand how she works. A killer that tracks based on sound and grass moving by using their ears more so than their eyes isn’t braindead. You can’t pick her up over night and expect to win every single time.
At this point I can play Spirit easily but I’ve put so many hours into her.
The only killer I’ll argue that is braindead easy to play is Billy.
Thanks by the way for saying I’m a great Spirit player, you’re probably better than me at this point XD
@MegMain98 I'm definitely not :P.
I do well, but most my games go to 1 gen and I snowball from the Surveillance. I don't run Ruin though (when I do it's a 4k 4/3 gens every game and it gets boring) but still I'm not as good as you. I can happily admit that.
I bet you'd stomp me in a battle of skill tbh. Also, Billy isn't braindead, I've been maining him, curving takes a lot of skill it's difficult to control it. I've got it about 20% of the way. So I'm learning him faster than I do with Spirit (only mastered 30% of her and I've played her since December 2018).
But he's not braindead, he's actually quite good. Not Hag tier, but quite solid. I will admit though, I've been getting stomped and went from rank 3 to 5 :P

@thesuicidefox MYC is amazing Spirit. I think MYC is more useful on Hag and Nurse but it is very useful on Spirit as well. I ran it for a while but I typically don’t make my way back to the hook unless I can’t find another survivor or the survivors are super altruistic. I swapped MYC for Surveillance. I wouldn’t definitely recommend Surveillance for a Spirit build.
I also ran Brutal Strength for a while as well but it isn’t that great on Spirit due to the fact that if they are trying to flashlight blind you through a pallet it’ll never work on Spirit regardless if you have BS or not. Spirit cannot he blinded while breaking a pallet. I’ve had so many DC’s because I’ve downed survivors after an unsuccessful flashlight blind followed by me shaking my head at them XD.
@MegMain98 how is Surveillance? I've found it to be the perfect replacement for Ruin. You can generate a lot of pressure from it because the survivors know you're always going to be able to keep an eye on them.

That's just the survivors fault for farming their teammate right in front of the killer.
@PolarBear love the name btw, but is it the unhooked's fault because he got farmed? It's unfair to blame them for getting farmed.

@Victory he thinks that he's untouchable vs Spirit. I can beat a rank 20 Nurse, does that mean I'm good?
He'd get stomped by me or @MegMain98 or @Blueberry and he knows it.

@Peanits said:
For the Spirit, I would recommend Stridor or Predator. They'll help you keep track of survivors while phasing and I could not recommend them enough. Either one on their own are pretty good, both together might be a little overkill. If you're at a short loop, you can also use a very short phase to close most of the distance and then go for a regular hit. As long as you get close enough, they won't be able to get back to the pallet in time.
@Peanits Stridor messes it up a lot. It makes them sound far closer.
To the OP, for Spirit I turned on Windows Spatial sound (bottom right, right click the sound button, third option up and turn it on. It makes sounds have a direction which makes her a lot better to play.
As Spirit I use Surveillance, A Nurses calling, BBQ and Save the best for last. Focus on ur chasing and get everyone down quick af with STBFL (my average is around 9 seconds if I'm at max stacks). Sometimes drop a chase to protect gens with Surveillance and catch healing survivors out.
Once you adapt to the build, it's really strong.

Your completely unaware as to how SWF abuse DS to get free unhooks aren't you
You down somone, they get rescued, you down the rescuer and hook them.
Unhooked runs back and unhooks in for face, you dont tunnel and go for the person that made the bad save.
Get hit with DS for doing the exact opposite of tunneling.
This is what people are complaining about, and other ways you can abuse it. Its not an anti tunnel perk, its 60 seconds of immunity, and that's the problem people have with it.
Your completely unaware as to how SWF abuse DS to get free unhooks aren't you.
Incorrect, I face them all the time abusing this. I just slug the unhooker, slug the unhooked and go to a Surveillance proc to get my 3rd guy. It has counterplay, it can be worked around.
If you seriously think it's bad now, then I don't think you fully understood what it was like before.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/502501#Comment_502501
So what is "tunneling"? Not giving a free hook escape? That's what you're saying, in practice, that you're not supposed to go after the unhooked person no matter what.
@Orion I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve from this but I'll keep discussing it with you.
I'm sure you know what tunnelling is. It's when you focus one survivor.
And I never said not to go after the unhooked, I do it myself and take the DS. @Condorloco_26's idea would have been abusable because of this. His idea was to make it so that if you hook someone else, the 'unhookeds' DS is deactivated.
So I gave an example of how killers would abuse that. I know I would.
-
@TreemanXD correct, and I forgot @PeepingPeacock, infectious fright can SERIOUSLY help with tracking the next survivor. DS is fine.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/502491#Comment_502491
How is it tunneling to go after a different guy first? Explain that to me.
@Orion you down the unhooker, and go straight after the unhooked regardless of what you think, that still counts as tunnelling. DS is fine. I might make a 'hard to swallow pill' thread about stuff like this.
-
@PeepingPeacock said:

I love how you want me to understand something when you don't even know why people slug. Nice high horse.
You said sluging and counting to 60 was a counter to DS abuse and its clearly not so you're trying to walk that back.
You dont just randomly down someone and leave them on the ground for no reason, that's stupid. You slug when you know where another survivor is and you can down them. Guess what, if you let the unhooked go and head after the rescuer, get DS'd and then down them again, you wont have clue where the other survivors are unless they want you to know or they are bad at the game. Especially because the abuse of using DS for a free save on the rescuer is commonly done by SWF so they know where everyone is and wont lead the killer into their team.
Wait where the hell did the rescuer having DS come from?!?! Also whispers, surveillance, looking for crows, and brains let you know where survivors are if you choose to slug. By brains btw, I'm not insulting you I mean going to the most likely gen they're at.
-
They thought you hacked to gain more movement speed.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/502439#Comment_502439
So you admit that the perk doesn't actually only work on "tunnelers", and that you need to take special precautions when encountering this perk even if you're not doing the thing that the perk is supposed to counter.
I never said I didn't admit that. But that's in very few cases. And the nerfs suggested are completely unreasonable as it still works and functions as intended even if it sometimes hits non tunnellers. It might be abusable now, but can you imagine how killers would abuse it if it works are a guy is hooked? Here's a likely scenario that would be abused.
What if you downed the 'unhooker' right after they unhooked with an instadown killer like Billy and instantly downed the 'unhooked' from some instacooldown.
Then you hook the 'unhooker' and then the 'unhooked's' DS is gone because of your nerf idea? You tunnelled him and exploited a way to remove his second chance.
DS is fine, it needs no nerfs. I can't believe people are so quick to want it butchered even though it was nerfed- from a ridiculous state- a while ago.
-
@rch614 thanks, I'll try it.
