  • @TreemanXD like I said, they won't ruin your fun like they did to me. It's 100% the reason I became a killer main, to get away from all of that.

I highly doubt the killers were as scummy as they were to me. I was something else in skill, had less hours than some of the best survivor players out there, but very comparable skill.

I hated survivor back then, then I took it lightly and laughed, now I'm chill about it.

  • Wraith looks amazing.

  • @WildDovami said:

Right? Are you supposed to let me run away? Lol it's just wild to me that people want you to play by certain rules. I hate being face camped. HATE it, but that's the killer's choice.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/519874#Comment_519874

@WildDovami I don't look down on tunnelling anymore, but I can understand why some people do. Read my comment above to show who I understand and feel bad for.

  • @TreemanXD then you must have not been tunnelled as hard as I was. I (used to be) was one of those survivors who was amazing at chases, mindgames and carrying a team. And as a result, I was hard tunnelled constantly, pretty much couldn't have proper games and have fun, and they'd give me salt messages.

Most people who hate tunnelling do it because it's 'scummy', but I did it because I was punished for being better than the killers who abused bloodlust to catch me. Now, I'm a mere shadow of my former skill and I can have fun. I had to sacrifice all that skill just to have fun. Imagine that.

If you didn't understand the complaints, then you were:

    A) Likely not tunnelled as hard, because the killers didn't see you as such a big threat.

    or

    B) You got lucky with lenient killers.

I can totally understand the complaints. I don't care about tunnelling anymore, and no longer hate it, but for the skilled survivors who get bloodlusted and hard tunnelled, and can't play a proper game, I feel their pain.

  • @WildDovami I have a feeling you're a killer main :P

  • image.png

Before you flame me for Billys position, he is not an antiloop killer. Any survivor who has a brain can avoid his flick despite speed addons. It's obvious when he tries to flick too. He's survivor dependant at loops. It's also the reason I rank him lower than Hag in my actual tierlist

    image.png

He's not as good as Hag. simply put. (@ me if you want to discuss it.)

  • @poopman oh didn't get it XD sorry.

  • @Yamaoka said:

Tunneling one person = 3 survivors doing generators.

Snowballing = nobody is doing gens effectively as they need to unhook each other all the time and everyone gets hooked every few seconds.

Result: Snowballing is the most effective way to win but requires considerably more skill and/or isn't easily possible with any killer.

Hillbilly, Spirit, Hag and obviously Nurse got great snowball potential. Therefore tunneling makes no sense when playing them.

@Yamaoka with Spirit, if you're running no addons then tunnelling is sometimes necessary, since messing up once pretty much auto makes you lose.

But I just target whoever runs at me, if someone takes the hit, I crush them, hook them and kill the next guy who comes to me.

But if the unhooked runs at me, I will smack him down. If he does it in a cocky way, I know he got DS and find the next Donny who unhooked since STBFL makes me waste almost no time in downing the next one.

If you're running addons though, that's a different story.

@Poweas?i posted this in a topic! Ghost face is not actually called that, his costume is called father death :)

@Mushwin I am not that active anymore, so I didn't see it lol.

  • I use a really difficult but rewarding build.

Surveillance, BBQ, A Nurses calling and Save the best for last.

With this build, it's difficult because you have to accept that you're probably going to win at 1-2 gens left. Not at 5 gens like some of the builds here. If you master it, you can be well rewarded and it has more strength than most the builds here, ironically.

But, you need to not mess up, you only have room for at the very most, two missed phases and that's it. If you want to struggle, then use it.

  • @Blueberry agreed, she's strong with her base, but if you mess up once, you could lose. That's balance. It means she takes a lot of skill and precision to play.

    @Blueberry said:

I personally don't think Billy is well balanced either.

To me the ideal balanced killer is Spirit.

  • @poopman some people just want to play with friends though. It's unfair. They should make Solo survivor as strong as SWF and buff all the killers to be able to deal with the survivors.

Spirit and Nurse would need no buffs obviously.

  • I think they're going to give him a tiny buff, leave him as terrible and expect us to pay. I was going to get him, his power sounded awesome but it's terrible with the easy way to nullify it. The looking at him is a cool way to snap him out, it makes him terrifying to face, but it should be pointing like Monto said or something more interactive.

  • They said that they're fixing maps wow. Pallets are OK and dealable with, but maps designs, specifically the placement of windows and dropdowns need some looking at, also the size of specific pallet loops, but it's all down to map design. The devs acknowledged it and are working to fix it.

The game is obviously not survivor sided, stop spreading misinformation. Using that as a scapegoat for when survivors are given strong perks (MoM) that will get nerfed or if you lose is a bad habit.

The only issue with solo is to many potatoes are in high ranks + we are still waiting for specific solo buffs (for example basekit kindred, totem counter in the UI, chase information in the UI etc). This is absolutely necessary in order to balance DbD anyway.

I personally don't have issues against Billy in a 1v1. I can loop him for very long. It's my potatoe mates who F the match up

his old flick made him a problem but apart from that, he has never been bad.

A lot of people here agree that Behavior should reach to make most killers as good as Hillbilly, instead of nerfing Hillbilly (and Spirit, Nurse, Huntress etc) down to the same level as the rest.

True fun comes when you're dodging chainsaws, outsmarting Nurses, mind-gaming a Spirit, making a Huntress waste all her hatchets trying to hit you.. All these killers are DANGEROUS so WINNING against them makes you feel great. Winning against a Plague by gen-rushing because there's no reason to heal.. yeah, fun. I guess..

Behavior used to not be so scared of making good killers. It feels like the turn happened after Doctor. Every killer just got worse and worse.

@se05239 I think they stopped after Legion. Since Hag was buffed to third best, and Spirit was buffed to 2nd best. Legion was when they stopped making good, solid killers. Billy is fourth and I like how they acknowledge he's good, but not too strong.

You're right about the dangerous thing, they're more satisfying to defeat.

  • @MistressChara said:

@Poweas He politely disagreed with you. Don't start accusing him of poor character because of that.

On the topic however, Killer is still fun but there are issues. Many of them are simply ghosts of an earlier stage of the game but they do still exist. The community is a big part of why killer can be frustrating or stressful due to the toxicity. My personal strategy for dealing with this is to always respond uniquely and kindly to everything (Such as having a different "gg" type saying, or responding to common insults with kind but also unique responses.)

It makes people realize that you're not just a bot but a unique person. From my experience it at the very least makes them think twice if not stop them from doing it to others in the future. Makes you feel a lot better about it as well.

@MistressChara he clearly didn’t read my point and went off topic, so I said he was waffling which means talking about something completely unrelated. Not sure where you saw me accuse him of poor character.

Not even sure why you are butting in? We ended it.

  • @TreemanXD that’s good. My sister, is close with me too, always has been, ever since our parents had her. Shes a bit aggressive sometimes lol

  • @TreemanXD yeah twins tend to be different lol. It’s ironic how me and my brother hated each other when we were smaller but when we became teenagers, we became close.

  • @Boosted_Dwight said:

@Poweas Me and my brother are similar but not exactly like each other. He's a lot more intelligent or at least responsible than me. I'm more out going while he's a lot more timid but we look the same. Other than that we're basically the same :P

@Boosted_Dwight mine is quite introverted too. Me and my sister are extroverted as hell.

  • @TreemanXD console tends to have smarter players tbh. PC has a larger player base so it’s annoying to get potatoes.

  • @TreemanXD solo survivor is pretty bad, trust me. The teammates are horrible.

  • .-. <- The look of a disappointed man, and my face right now.

  • Can you mention me when you do? I'm not too active nowadays so it'd help.

  • @suffering23 if they shorten all the infinites to make them mindgameable as their plan said, then they will remove it. There's no question about it, killers would abuse bloodlust and it wouldn't even be needed then, it'd become an issue quickly.

But that's like 8 months away.

  • I like the sound of footsteps in the swamp, very satisfying.

  • But then again @ReikoMori most good Spirits will chain their hits regardless, so it wont work on them. But there's few good Spirits anyway.

  • @ReikoMori do you mean without her power? Yeah she's trash. If you can evade her for 5 seconds, and force her out, 15 seconds of a cooldown can be the difference between surviving and getting stomped. She's loopable without her power.

  • @Peanits @not_Queen @Patricia can you get this added? It's such a nice drawing.

  • @Mushwin that comment has made me decide to re-evaluate my whole life.

  • Bloodlust needs no buffs, it's fine. Plus the devs will rework maps soon, most likely, it's getting removed.

  • @ReikoMori said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/518214#Comment_518214

Premonition, Spine Chill, gen tapping, keys with addons. That is just the small simple stuff. You could also punish her by not grouping on gens. She's really bad at loops.

@ReikoMori she's the best killer (joint with Nurse) at loops. What are you talking about?

  • @Mushwin ngl, I actually believed you lol.

  • @KillermainBTWm8 I hope you're feeling better now. That's horrible. I am so sorry for you, you must have been so brave to face that at 14.

@Mushwin is your twin genuinely ur forum stalker?

@TreemanXD and @Boosted_Dwight So many people have twins lol. Me and my older brother are very similar (but not twins)in fighting (I have the slight edge despite my age disadvantage), intelligence, (specifically Chess, we can never win, I've only tricked him once and he's only beat me once, we tend to play recklessly because it gets boring, in our grades, we're overall equal) athletically, him and my younger sister are far superior to me except running, long jump, high jump, wrestling, boxing and any other sport that involves fighting. We're like twins, and even look similar. Sometimes we joke about it.

But we are so different too lol. It's weird.

  • @PhantomMask20763 not to scapegoat my fading interest in this game on anything, but the forums may have played a massive part in driving me away from this game. It MAY have. I'm not sure yet.

  • @Kilmeran said:

@Poweas I'm in the same place, though I went back to Overwatch with a few sprinkles of Paladins and Realm Royale. Dead by Daylight in its current balance form became boring for me, and I don't have nearly the hours in it that people like you do.

Which also means no more DLC and cosmetic money from people like me.

Secondary objectives would definitely get me to load the game and hit the play-button again.

@Kilmeran I have like 900 hours in total currently, I'm sure you've played as much as me or even more. But I used to be in love with this game. Now it's more of a thing of the past, something I once loved, but something I rarely play. I used to be obsessed with this game too, none stop thinking about strategies in chase and stuff while I daydreamed in about it.

Now I honestly don't prefer this over Fortnite. Which is something that I could never have even dreamed about 1 year ago. I used to disregard and look down upon the very idea that Fortnite could even come close to this game, but here we are.

If they add something good, I'm returning. If not, I'm out of it and will only check in on the forums to see the community, and how they've been getting on (I've made good friends here, including you @Kilmeran) and check the patch notes.

A side message to @Peanits can you pass on the idea of adding a secondary objective? I'd really appreciate it.

  • @Mushwin said:

@Poweas okay no one, ever is dumb, bad choices are made, but no one is dumb. *Hugs

    @Mushwin thanks I guess. :)

  • I am an easily adaptable person. I was introverted a while ago, decided it felt off for me, and became extroverted in months. I went from dumb as hell years ago, to rather intelligent in a matter of weeks. I also started working out a few years back, and got veins popping out in not too long.

One time, I wanted to commit to drawing a killer for the art contest, and I did a decent-ish artwork in 2 days.

I also have a pretty strong will. If I want something done, I will get it done eventually. I'm also patient as hell.

Basically, I can change my whole personality in a matter of weeks and still feel like myself and not like I'm pretending to be someone else.

  • image.png image.png

Give it if you want, I wont force you to though, some people probably deserve it more.

  • @Blueberry said:

To play as or against? That's a big difference

@Blueberry do the survey, he included both.

  • I agree. And another high skill cap killer. I've got so bored without a killer that's both fun to play and difficult. Spirit has finally became consistently good for me and it feels pretty #########. If they add a secondary objective, I can just main survivor until a new killer is added.

I still play the game, but tbh, I am enjoying Fortnite much more since me and my friends just have a laugh. They seem very happy I finally ditched DBD, even if it is just 70% Fortnite and 30% DBD, they're so happy XD.

I used to be more dedicated to this game, but now it's boring as hell. A secondary objective could definitely bring me, and players like me back.

  • Gave my feedback, hope it helps <3

  • I love how every thread just ends with two people arguing about something pointless, getting triggered and others butting in occasionally. It's why I don't comment and just read nowadays.

  • @SasukeKun perks have nothing to do with fun. You're literally just arguing against yourself and proving my point. Just stop it XD.

    You're literally just waffling.

  • @SasukeKun Then don't bring in perks. They do nothing to help your argument and don't say survivor is a breeze I know that. Even though killer is harder, it's still more fun.

  • @Tsulan said:

@Poweas I can understand the OPs frustration.

Gen rush has been a problem for a very long time. Killers feel pressured during the whole match.

Survivors only feel that pressure once there are only 2 alive. Injured survivors can run and jump without any problems, while killers get slowed down by a hit.

Some killer powers are borderline useless.

I might not support the way he expresses himself, but I understand the problem.

Killers should be in the power role, BUT since the majority of players would then play killer, the queues would be unbearable. So I understand, that survivors need to be in a certain power role.

Best solution is right now, to play both sides and choose the side with the shorter queue.

@Tsulan I've game off the game gradually. Unless the next killer is a high skill cap, I'm done since there's no killers to master. :(

  • @SasukeKun said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/515021#Comment_515021

a solid no, you're comparing alpha squads to 1 person alone against them. There's different odds and if anything survivor feels like a breeze. Dead Hard, DS, MOM, Adrenaline etc. Oh but i'm sweaty for using BBQ or Ruin, or NOED.

i vastly disagree at the game's current state

@SasukeKun What? I'm not talking about which side is harder. I'm talking about which side is more BORING. At least read my comment. I didn't even bring up perks being OP. Read a comment before you waffle on about something else.

  • @Tsulan said:

Judging from the comments and downvotes, I'd say that "the forum is a echo chamber for killer mains" is a myth.

@Tsulan so reasonable killer mains can't downvote this?

Almost every point the OP made was wrong. Except for Ghostface being trash and survivors being stronger.

The examples he used were unrealistic and obviously he doesn't have in depth knowledge. So as a killer main, I'm still downvoting this.

  • Still more boring than being on the side when they DC. And survivor in general is boring as hell compared to killer.

Killer is fun, the DC's can ruin a game, but it's nowhere near as bad as being on the survivor side.

@Poweas Some killers just don’t need anything except their brown add-ons and Spirit is one of them. The only time she needs purple add-ons is if it is a good SWF team and the map is huge like Red Forest or Rotten Fields. It’s just too easy to equip purple add-ons and 4K ESPECIALLY using Prayer Beads.

If I happen to lose with Spirit using brown add-ons, it is nice to equip the Saya and Amulet and know that I can always kill everybody if I REALLY wanted to. Sometimes I play a little too nice.

I can also consistently get at least 2-3 kills with Plague using no add-ons. I’m currently at Rank 4. She’s not a hard killer to play, she’s just very vulnerable to being gen rushed as she has very little map pressure. With Corrupt Purge she easily has one of the best snowball effects in the game.

@MegMain98 Plague has never needed addons tbh. She's not reliant. Neither is Legion tbh. They're mid tier killers who need no addons.
