  • The nerf did nothing to that addon, chains no matter how many are useless at almost all times, all it does is 0.1s interrupt before they break over terrain.

The addon though was never a problem, pinheads power is too hard to hit with no reward at all, this addon solved that issue for the first hit at least. You can't down with it anyway and survivors in injured state are stronger.

Overcome cannot compete with any halfway decent Nurse. Especially not if they run blink recharge add-ons or range add-ons.

with addons sure, I'm talking addonless nurse

I don't like using addons on nurse

It takes a single extra blink to catch back up

And then there is no dead hard to worry about. Tunnel that survivor of hook and there is nothing to worry about either.

If you run starstruck then you can deny it completly.

Not only is it not meta. It's straight up not good.

Very close to the worst exhaustion perk

try playing addonless nurse vs survivor who really knows how to shift + W, then come and talk

  • @Phasmamain said:

Why would I take overcome over a third health state or sprint burst?

the point of third health state is for you to survive longer, overcome does the exact same thing and sometimes even better

in the example that this guy gave, overcome is clearly better

nurse already can't catch up to survivors quick enough without cooldown addons if they shift + W from her in straight direction after getting hit

  • If they would ever ban for that, then they completely failed as a company.

Just because I have good monitor with natural black color I can't see anything in game unless I use some software to change how the game looks. If the game does not offer these options then it cannot be bannable.

  • that's not enough time to get any proper conclusions, even a week would be way too little

Revert the iron will buff... who am i kidding, this is bhvr and a survivor perk we are talking about 😂

    you mean revert a bugfix

  • How about turn off all perks for a week

  • I use it on Plague and have extreme success with it.

This perk + Plague + Mindbreaker remove exhaustion perks for majority of the trial (like literary 90%+), making survivors waste a perk slot and go down much faster.

However I can see that it's only good on Plague because of her power, on all other killers it's pretty trash thanks to the cooldown.

But I disagree with the 3. point of your post. Injured survivors are harder to down than healthy ones simply because of deadhard and survivor knowing they will get hooked and potentially killed if they go down.

  • just delete the perk together with boons, it's trash anyway

  • @FrostySeal said:

The amount of game delay you can force on the survivors with chain hunt makes Pinhead a really good Killer, but not a perfect one. He suffers really badly from an inconsistent and difficult-to-use chase power which keeps him from being a completely overpowered Killer. However, with Engineers fang and the correct build (I use Surge, Ruin, Tinkerer, Deadlock, and also the one green addon that makes solving the box take longer) Pinhead becomes an insanely strong Killer. You're able to apply so much pressure it's insane, because in combination with constantly getting injured and being forced to either heal or stay injured but the survivors will also have to deal with the threat of chain hunt happening. Also, while all of that is happening Ruin, Surge, Tinkerer, and Deadlock will be making gens take so much more longer.

What do you guys think about my opinion?

Right now yes. He can be very strong with fang and meta build, if you can keep the chain hunt up for majority of the game.

Good luck with that after the nerf though.

Personally I think fang is not even close to being an OP addon. You can't down anyone with it and most importantly the chains are very hard to hit with 0 reward for doing so in most situations. This addon just made pinheads "main" power reward you for playing well on your first hit. And the nerf to it is actually laughable, as chains barely do anythig 90% of the times, nobody cares about having one less. I'd say this addon did not even get a nerf, it's still the same basically.

But they did a hard hit to the addons that really helped him versing those good teams and play around the box. Pinhead is all about the box really, his main power does basically nothing. They again nerfed the part of killer that actually made the killer decent, without buffing his weak part in return. It's just another deathslinger or spirit situation.

  • Plenty of them from DBD survivors, personally I keep all of them as long as the user who posted them has public profile.

  • I started playing iron grasp, agitation and monstrous shrine on all killers

funny to see how that little shrine icon on survivors screen makes them all panic when they are hooked, especially when it's swf

  • It funny how every swf survivor defends sfw, saying that it would be unfair to nerf people playing together, but why is it fine that killer is basically handicapped because of it?

  • @Zachcjjj said:

i feel like 99% of the people who claim to have high mmr just hit red rank like 3 times and all of a sudden think they have max mmr and are versing death squads every game when its really just not true. its pretty funny that people will be on this forum talking about how they are high mmr and then say something stupid like flashlights are op

I think its mostly because of perks they verse. If you see survivor team run full meta perks you feel like you have high mmr because it's just next to impossible to do anything them with majority of killers. Then if as survivor you see full meta killer build on good killer, it's exactly the same thing. Too oppressive perk builds for both sides just make it feel like you can't do anything regardless of how well both sides played.

  • all they have to do is making his bottles separate charges and reload will give you back all charges for both, suggested this during the ptb of clown cuz it was obvious the new bottles are complete garbage in the state they released it

  • she is the only killer playable now vs all the boons, her power counters both shadowstep and mainly coh

  • @my_name_jeff_69 said:

So, DS is largely fine how it is, but these are just a few tweeks that I feel would make the perk be absolutely perfect.

    • Blessing a totem doesn't disable DS, so, make blessing a totem disable DS. If you are actively blessing a totem, you're not being tunneled.
    • Have DS disable when you touch the exit gates. If you have time to open the exit, you're not being tunneled.
    • Have DS disable when someone else is hooked. If the killer has not gone after you and instead hooks someone else, you're not being tunneled so it should deactivate.

These are just a few changes to make DS just, the perfect anti tunnel perk imo.

agree except for the last one, sometimes i down 2 people and I'm able to hook them both at the same time, this would just make me know that i can disable someone elses ds, even though he can't do anything and technically is still being tunneled

    deadhard

  • it's garbage, not realiable slowdown perk, if you wanna run slowdown there are bunch of other much better options

it became bad since the duration nerf, 45 seconds i just not enough to comfortably get to a gen that is progressed well enough for the perk to do something, without loosing the insane amout of time you spend by walking to that generator, most of the times that 25% regression is just offset by the time it takes to get to the place

also I'd love survivors to know how it feels when you played well and suddenly all your progress gets denies by one tap of a button (hold in killers case)

  • they should just buff the regression to like 50%, then it would maybe be worth it

Killers always complain about playing against the same 4 perks then they complain when we start using boons. Survivors aren’t gonna play handicap perks so the devs can either release new perks that are strong or buff old perks either way.

i'd be happy to return to that, boons just literary kill every other killer playstyle and only allow you to tunnel if you want to win

healing mid chase is not funny at all either, not even nurse can compete with these builds, the only thing you can do vs boons is play plague, else you won't see anyone and everyone will heal infront of your face while you cooldown from an attack and destroy a pallet

I have not had any issues so far. Let alone that the person I quoted did not mention anything in that regards, only that DH was fine for them before the Bugfix. Which leads to the conclusion that Survivors are allowed to have bugged perks. :)

Which makes sense, since the game is survivor sided.

If it wasn't, then there would either be same amount of complaints from both sides, or more complaints from survivor side (that is the situation where the game is killer sided).

Feedback usually comes from people who actually actively play the game, not someone who just wants to whine and complain.

he said he quits, that means he played it, and certain experience is ######### enough for him to stop, that is something worthy of a feedback

The survivors technically found and did all of the totems, instead of cleansing the last one they booned it. This is the same time investment as finding and breaking all totems. It's sensible that this also prevents Noed.

While that is true, survivors can easily counter all killer hexes, but killer can't counter boons in any way. First you have to find them, then snuff them out and then they can be re-used again.

Killer hex should not be overwritted by a survivor perk, the only way to remove hex should be by destroying totem, so if killer decides to bring in build that solely foces on countering boons (which is 4 hexes), survivors would not be able to bless all the totems around the map with killer being powerless to remove them, but only one of them.

  • @Altarf said:

No killer can be S tier without some form of mobility. Simple as. Plague is very good, but has too much RNG, survivor dependence and inconsistent chase power to be stronger than A tier.

Yeah, that is true. I thought of her as low S tier, just because she basically denies the whole healing meta, which makes big impact vs killers that can't deal with that. Even S tier killers can suffer from insanely fast heals, in addition to fast gens.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2601154#Comment_2601154

Interesting. I guess we both play quite differently :).

From my experience, if they don't do Plaything totems, they are setting themselves up for incredibly easy chases and grabs. Unless you are playing at a crazily high MMR, and approach correctly, it's devastating. They'll either have to play ultra paranoid, or play stupid risky. It even helps a lot on chase in some maps, as survivors don't know when to drop and constantly have to look behind them, often running into bad areas. I love it when people don't cleanse it.

It may be less useful against incredible SWF groups or 2000+ hour monsters, but most things are.

Blood Echo is...fine, but I struggle to get good value out of it especially with that boon that removes scratches. But congrats if you've made it work, always happy to see people able to play their way and have success.

Spirit is definitely still A-tier. The only thing that took a knock was her ability to mindgame, which is only really a problem at a very high level of play.

Plague is definitely not low 'S' tier, although I personally think the only S tier killer is Blight.

In theory Nurse is the strongest killer in the game, but even watching the best killers in the world, they can struggle with her. Watch Otz and his 'streak' videos, he had an easier time on Doctor (ironically).

I've had some good experiences with Plaything, but the more I played the game, the better survivors I versed and then it started to be pretty much useless in most games.

And talking about aura reading boon btw, since i started to use none or very few aura reading perks, I got much better with guessing where survivors are. And thanks to agiation I can get to them while doing another objective basically (hooking).

Spirit for me is kinda dead, I played like 2 games vs her, and every single time when in chase I heard exactly where she is coming from. And my headset is pretty bad btw. Playing as her, you feel that survivors really know that you are following them from certain sides. The only situation where she is op is with that addon that reveals location of survivors if they are near.

Nurse honestly was my favourite killer before, I have like 300-350h on her alone, but after the nerf she became super boring. Tripple cooldowns are just not fun, I still can play her decently without addons, but it just feels super bad. You really need the double cooldown addon if you wanna enjoy her.

  • @glitchboi said:

S tier, definitely not. A tier, honestly yeah.

I actually ranked her as the no. 6 best killer in the game on my tier list. Her power counters stealth, med-kits, boon totems... Her snowball potential is INSANE if you manage to get it right. She practically has built-in mid-range STBFL during Corrupt Purge, and can end chases really quickly.

Also, without Corrupt Purge, she's still pretty strong. If a survivor is out in the open, you might be able to instadown them. With her cooldown movement speed buff, she does this a lot better.

I would rate her low S/high A, since Spirit is gone from there now.

But yes, her power actually does everything and with blood echo you don't have to worry about dead hard's that much. You could say that the buff increased her mobility since she is not slowed to hell when using it anymore.

The point is that with all the healing gone, she does not feel as stressful to play. Survivors healing hits mid-chase or just really really fast makes me feel miserable as a killer, and vs Plague they can't do that. I don't really care much about gens flying when I can down people really fast and not see them healing mid chase before I even get to the next pallet they just ran to from the previous one.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/291176/plague-is-probably-s-a-tier-now

She's a counter-meta killer and probably safely 'B' tier up from 'C' tier now, 'A' tier against overly healy or altruistic survivors. She struggles on bigger maps or anything with verticality, and loses a lot of her power as soon as you find a group that knows how to play around her.

    I personally like to run:

    • Plaything
    • Retribution

Together these not only slow down gens substantially, but allow you to exert further pressure on top of her disease. They're actually my favorite perks at present.

    • Discordance or CI

Incredible info, can often lead to infection chains or massacres with red vommy, or a lot of early infections. I'm starting to leave out CI now though, as survivors are starting to just run the timer down while hiding.

    • Deadlock, Pop or BBQ

I'm still not sold on Deadlock, but it has it's place. BBQ is the norm, because grind. Pop will never not be a solid choice.

I agree with big maps issue, but every killer except for blight, nurse and spirit have that issue, thus I use agiation -> if you know survivors are at some place of the map you can just move there while carrying a survivor to a hook. But yes, on large maps my games usually end with survivors finishing all gens and one of the escaping via exit or hatch, but still 9-11 hooks is really good.

I used to like Plaything, but later found out its a useless perk, survivors mostly ignore it because of SWF or simply thanks to experience in the game. The perk does nothing to slow the gens down. When you run it against survivors who doesn't panic when he is inflicted with impairing debuffs and pays attention while doing their objectives it basically does nothing, and SWF aplifies that. If it applied exhaustion, then it would be a good perk and I think it would actually become meta.

    Discordance is fine I suppose.

Deadlock is a good perk, I sometimes use it on some killers that really do need the slowdown.

Pop is actually gargabage perk after the nerf, you don't have enough time to use it in many scenarios and the time you actually gain from using it is much less than it theoretically seems.

You guys need to realize that the dev team only consists of around 800 people. You may think that’s a lot but if you look at other companies its very small. Activison has 10,000 developers and Blizzard has just under 5,000 working on the hearthstone properties alone.

I think we need to think about this, if there are let’s say, 50 main problems and 80 bugs for each platform and there are only 800 devs they can hardly split up people to work on each issue. So let’s just be patient and let them fix the issues.

btw im not talking about bhvr as a whole Im talking about just the dev team that actually cares about their game.

edit: changed this since you guys changed my mind

look at fe. path of exile, they have around 150 devs, like 15 of them are programmers and see how much stuff do they roll out with each update

if there really are 800 people working on dbd then i doubt that they do actually work

Freddy was before his nerf. I think he sucks now, mainly because of useless add-ons, but that's for another debate.

Myers also depends how you look at it. Myers with best addons (tombstone)? Yeah, that is super good. Base-kit Myers? Yeah, not that good anymore...

Green stalk addon and rabbit or whatever and you storm the game, his early game sucks but he can end games in minute if played correctly.

Also Myers has extended lunge and faster vault speed and an instadown. Myers gets 4 downs sooner than deathslinger reels his first survivor to then see the chain break and survivor deadharding away.

Freddy, despite not being as good as before, still has the teleport which is kinda epic map pressure tool.

Snares are weaker clown bottles that force survivor to drop the pallet 1-2 loop runs sooner which is great.

With specific perk builds freddy can for sure outperform old slinger.

  • @Dino7281 said:

Deathslinger doesn't really suck as a killer, he is still better than some weaker killers like Clown, Legion, Myers, Freddie etc., but he sucks to play as, even Freddie is more fun to play now and that used to be most boring killer to me.

Because of longer ADS, I get same feeling as Huntress with Wind-up time addons. Problem is that unlike Huntress, Deathslinger has several limitations. He gets more punished for single miss, he can't down over pallet / far window, he has limited range, he has super tiny hitbox that is easy to dodge, his ADS sensitivity + FOV just sucks, so he can't even flick and he also has longer time to down on avarage than Trickster / Huntress.

ADS sensitivity + FOV were always bad, but noone did it, because of quick-scope, so it wasn't an issue before.

Deathslinger was played by FPS players a lot, because they could use skills they already had, but that's not a thing anymore after quick-scope nerf.

Because of longer ADS he can't just shoot survivors looking behind them, even potato can react to 400 ms + 200 +/- ms travel time, so he needs to zone way more than before, which feels terrible, because of his ADS sensitivity + FOV and it's just boring af.

Just play Trickster / Huntress, let's see if they will release statistic for how much is that killer played, that will be fun...

I have over 200 hours just on Deathslinger, but it took me 5 games to start playing Trickster instead. It's just no from me.

myers and freddy were better than slinger even before the update

i said its irrelevant because you only look at like 10% of the actual 'picture'

I really don't think it's gonna matter. It's just blessing a totem. You still can't work on gens, heal yourself, etc.

why should killer get DS'd when you had whole 14 seconds (not counting the time to get to the place) to do your side objective though? that's not tunneling

  • I guess that is much more reasonable

however her charge time is not very pleasing even on it's base, so i could see many people dropping that addon just because of how uncomfortable it would be to start using her power

it would be better if they did smth like 'if you spent 2-4 seconds in phase then you get the movement speed or it scales up slowly while you spend time in phase, so fe. 10% extra on activation and then each frame you get sligly extra more until you reach max 40% after let's say 5 seconds

  • @JohnWeak said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2578644#Comment_2578644

Well, most killers are bored about the fact that they have to camp, tunnel and use NOED. You are not one of them, fine for you but you clearly represent 1% of the playerbase.

you don't really have to do any of that, just lose the game and go next or uninstall and don't play until they realize the player count is so low they gotta do smth

i hate camping, its boring and i never do that

I do tunnel sometimes, if it's endgame and i got nothing else to do at that moment

and noed overall is a dumb and boring perk that doesn't even work anymore thanks to boons being stronger than killer hexes, using it just increases your mmr even more so everyone should try to avoid using it unless they really wanna get sweat match every game

So if you use these 2 addon, you dont see scratch mark or hear at all. But you have massive speed and instinct already.
