I am on xbox... same name

I am in the green ranks on killer (Pig main) was near red last month

Yeah, I use a different name. Felt that maybe using my Xbox name will give some people to do things that specifically annoy me. I'll add you on my accounts when I jump on. My main one is currently Purple Survivor, and unfortunately Yellow on Killer, because of a grind in Survivor Archives and that one reset. I'm building back up to my usual green ranked killer area.

  • OH. MY. GOD.

I'M NOT THE ONLY "FILTHY DEGENERATE" WHO DOES THE SAME THING!

  • Do some Survivor archives for a reset or two then. And if you're really concerned with "pressure" then you have Doctor or Hillbilly base game. Even Huntress with her Lullaby can be a deterrent.

I've also had two memorable games on Haddonfield where two generators have popped super quickly. One before I even SAW a survivor, another as I was hooking the first survivor. You know how they turned out? 4k, and a 3k with a free hatch because I was feeling generous, and there was two DC's. As one of the "weaker" killers in the community's eyes. Depending on the killer, the MIDGAME can actually be the most important part of a match.

  • Bugs aren't a concern for me unless they make the game literally unplayable, so I don't see what everyone is complaining about.

MY issues with trying to maintain a positive attitude lately are all community-based issues. Between campers, tunnellers and inept teammates it's kinda hard to have a look at any problems with the core game. And while campers and tunnellers are becoming more and more rare for me, they're still an issue.

@PigMainClaudette this is how I see it

    1 respect for main pig

2 you can’t count on peeps to do totems or gens.

3 if you unhook noob # 123 he/she might not do gens but probably will end up in chase

4 they will run from killer = he’s not chasing you so you can do gens and have a chance at a escape

    btw

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/837/F8AIG9NG4751.jpeg

I try, but when I'm literally ditched to die on first hook, or actually saving people who all go off and die anyway, only to be ratted out by the last guy, then it's kinda hard to do anything.

I help where I can, but my patience can only stretch so far and my skills are only so capable. My current build is also a "ninja vanish" build using Q&Q, Lithe and Dance with Me. Super fun, but not the "second chance meta" a lot of killers complain about, so not a lot I can do there if players aren't willing to help themselves.

PC, NA. There was a slight boom when Ruin was killed (and to be honest, I think there's a fair argument to be made for why), but in general, I see more Spirits, Freddys, Trappers and Huntress' than I do Billys.

Xbox, Aus Sydney and this was BEFORE the ruin rework. Ruin is also still incredibly useful if you know how to. I kept it on several of my killers, such as Pig and I do fine with it.

Xbox currently has a pretty good diversity of killers, but Billy and Spirit are just the strongest if someone can use them. I almost never see Freddy these days. The only killers I never see are Clown, Nurse, Hag and Plague. Some like Oni, Bubba or Deathslinger are pretty rare, but still see them more than the 4 I mentioned. Nobody is overused and it's actually quite nice now.

  • Gearhead could easily be replaced by Surveillance, especially since Surveillance actually has gen-regression in mind, and not based on the randomness of a skill-check appearing, or the survivor not potatoing the check.

Dead Man's Switch is very situational and unless you're eating DS left and right, or the better alternatives of also using Nemesis/Furtive Chase but Nemesis requires you to eat pallet stuns or flashlights, and Furtive Chase is just BAD. If they swapped it to "outside of a chase" then it might be viable, but for now the only real reason to use it is to swap obsessions.

I actually don't see Billy that much at red ranks, to be honest.

Platform and region? I'll admit that they have been a lot more rare since I've started on the forums, but that first season I hit purple and it was 95% Hillbilly will forever annoy me and has solidified my hatred for the killer.

  • Killers might actually play someone else, and NOT use a chainsaw as their only weapon?

    image.png

Jokes and personal issues with Hillbilly players aside, last time I played him, which was within a week, he was fine. But the again I don't really use add-ons for him.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Solo survivor is a brutal, awful experience, and I completely empathise with everything you've just said.

Now, as other people have pointed out, the motto "Treat other people as you wish to be treated" comes to mind, but I justify it slightly differently.

The reason why you should save others and help your team out is because then you can know with absolute certainty that you did the best you could, and got outplayed by the killer or bullshitted by the survivors. If you don't save people then you become part of the problem- the phrase "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain" springs to mind.

You could go on and not save people, ditching empathy and feelings and just try to bust through gens, or you could keep playing how you're playing and not be the very issue you complain about. Basically, you won't become a hypocrite.

Or for another explanation, you won't get any altruism points or benevolence emblem, preventing you from ranking up and finding survivors who know what they're doing more than 10% of the time. You need 7-10 points to pip at red ranks, meaning you'll need a gold in lightbringer and chaser provided you last long enough to get a bronze in unbroken, or die fast enough to get a bronze in benevolence. Trying to pip whilst ignoring an entire category isn't the easiest, and this means you'll safety pip very often or even de-rank, ensuring you never escape the hell of purple ranks.

Normally I really like the idea of being a villain, but I can actually see what you mean about being a hypocrite. Becoming the very thing I seek to destroy, so that others don't have to experience what I have but instead sharing that suffering to others.

Maybe I need to play some killer for a bit. Paint another Warhammer 40k army before coming back too.

  • @RaSavage42 said:

I would like to have as a teammate @PigMainClaudette

I try to do a bit of everything in game but it's frustrating to be the only one doing it

But I'm low ranked and only good on gens (at this point)

Well, if you're on Xbox, I have two lower ranked accounts I use to play with friends who don't play as much. I'll jump on a bit later and find the numbers that go with one of them.

And no, it is not to bully low ranked killers for anyone else reading this that way. I use underpowered perks for a reason and I don't want my mates going up against MY killers, since at time of post, I'm in purple ranks.

  • @KingFrost said:

Treat others as you wish to be treated. That's my motto in DBD. I save people because I'd want to be saved. Whether I'm saved or not is irrelevant.

Funny thing is that I usually say that, but it is getting harder and harder lately. I want to be a nice guy, even as a killer. If I completely smash a team, I might farm the last two so they don't feel too bad about the slaughter. It's not MY fault that a group of below rank 15's got put against my Pig. And one of them DC'd early.

  • After seeing her responses, she should have died sooner. Since you didn't know what they'd be like though, and you knew the Wraith was camping, I think that you made the right choice. Better that one person gets out than everybody dying. Or at least have a chance.

Better than having some idiot try to justify teaming with a killer because he can't play the game, and then calling me a sook because I called him out on his BS. And this is AFTER I picked him up from dying, TWICE!

Lesson here is that unless you're in a SWF squad, you're in it for yourself.

  • Well, there is currently a Doctor themed tome and his challenges are somewhat easy to get. "Shock four people in one trial", so use my power all of twice? Ok. Easy BP.

As for NoED, it does appear to be the new killer crutch of the year now that Hex: Ruin got a deserved rework.

    @ALostPuppy said:

Well you're at green ranks so NOED is a given. You should try running small game or a map it'll save a lot of frustration and it's what I do after every rank reset and I'm back down to purple or green. Idk what to say about a Mori because there really is no countering that, it just sucks that a lot of killers are resorting to them to win.

Also, one for both of you to know as well is that I've had the same thing when rank reset hit. 4 different killers, 5 games. All with NoED and each different killer brought an Ebony. The last two were the same Hillbilly who swapped Primer Bulb for CTG and make a full insta-saw. Two were Spirit, and I forget the first one.

  • It's a necessary evil of the game. As long as hardcore tunnelling is allowed, then survivors are going to need some sort of immunity to it. I know that a lot of survivors also use it as a "60 Seconds of Immunity" perk as a lot of killers tend to point out, but that's also generally easier to spot and you could just make them eat dirt until the timer wears off.

  • Not sure about how it's all coded, but basically from what I can understand from playing for about a year or so is that the healing progress resets on changing health state. Trapped (in a Trapper bear trap) changes you from Healthy to Injured, but keeps you at Injured if you are already when stepping into a trap.

It's probably just coded in a specific way that you don't change health states, and therefore the healing progress carries over. I'll need a dev to confirm this though.

  • My main concern is that in some of her skins, she looks no real different from a survivor with only her mask differentiating her from the rest of the cast. Similar issue with The Legion and their members, besides the fact that we don't know what they look like underneath their masks.

And if they ARE so similar to survivors then, how are you going to tell them apart? Would this skin on Pig then also become part of a cosmetic-based meta? Will Pig players who use this new headgear be called "pay-to-win" since the only way to tell them apart would now be Premonition or Spine Chill. These are all things to consider, no matter how good a new cosmetic would be.

  • @Deadeye said:

Yeah, Freddy the dream demon... And I'm pretty sure there was a Freddy movie where the survivors were trapped in a video game and Freddy played that game. Bad omens my dude...

Can't agree more on the pc front. I'm not a fan of modding and hacking is awful its not the ones you can see floating around the map as Shrek vomiting rockets its the

hackers who have just alittle more health then you... who get the killstreak just a little sooner... who's swords hit alittle harder then mine. The ones who whenever you meet it just happens to drop frames seconds before they turn the corner spraying.

I'm not that interested in a console war debate in this forum, so I'll just wrap it up with myself and everyone I've ever met have had massive longstanding unenjoyable experiences across all media with the Xbox community for almost a decade... overall as a generality i think im more then safe in my true and tested stereotype even if there are minute exceptions

I like that movie dig :) lol just name ur exclusives is it... halo or halo ? Or maybe its the halo remaster

Gears of War, Halo, Sunset Overdrive.

I will give you guys Bloodborne though. That one isn't a glorified movie.

  • One, two, Freddy's coming for you.

Three, four, better lock your door.

    Five, six, grab your crucifix.

    Seven, eight, better stay awake.

    Nine, ten, never sleep again.

  • It's not that console players don't want cross play at all it's that we don't want to verse PC players with M&KB for a majority of games. In a lot of games, it's such an extreme advantage and with some monster rigs being able to outperform any console, especially when you've put 5x the money into it, there's just no competition. A lot of us play console more because it is a more casual experience, and in a way we want to keep it that way.

    @emptyCups said:

I'd rather not play with the Xbox community

Or the mouse and keyboard folks

Cross play never interests me. Why dump a load of children into my servers or force me to play against people with better machines then me? Hard pass.

And what's so bad about the Xbox community? I know the squeaker stereotype originated from Xbox, but some of us are reasonable people. And prefer our exclusives to be games, rather than interactive movies.

  • I like the emblem system more because this style is very exploitable. Slugging would become the ultimate strategy, since you'd only have to down survivors the once. As long as the survivor dies, then it would count. People also hate Ebony Moris enough as is, and this will just increase their rate of usage.

I mean, we have two stalking Killers too, two chainsaw wielding Killers, and four ranged Killers. I don't think already having a Killer that inflicts madness is a good point against a Cthulhu Mythos chapter.

I just don't see how it could possibly be done in a way that is both faithful to it's source and fits within the constraints of the Dead by Daylight experience. If there were ways around those constraints, I'd be all for some creeping horror: slouching unbidden and uncontrolled through the Entity's Realm, wreaking havoc on Killer and Survivor alike - not just through gnashing teeth or crushing, viscous flesh, but even by way of it's mere presence, inspiring madness and self-destruction.

Also there are some counterpoints against H.P. Lovecraft as an extreme racist for his time - https://motifri.com/lovecraftcontext/

And to play Devil's Advocate for anyone else stumbling on this comment - https://lithub.com/we-cant-ignore-h-p-lovecrafts-white-supremacy/

I prefer the Overly Sarcastic Productions look at the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Dude was scared of basically everything.

I also don't know how we'd be able to introduce a second Madness mechanic into the game, and keep it unique yet useful. If we take a look at Leatherface and making a second chainsaw killer, then I have my reservations about making a killer that shares a core mechanic.

This is also why I said we should base it all of Innsmouth, since the Dagon worshipping townsfolk would be both humanoid, easily recognisable and easy to work around. Not to mention the haze of a port town would look incredible and WAY better than playing on the Swamp.

Huntress is also free on PS4, but you have to unlock the dlc (for free, no shards)

She was free on Xbox! I just went into the Store and "purchased" it from there.

  • Huntress should still be a free DLC, but hard to aim on console.

Deathslinger is decent and pretty fun.

Legion can be fun, but hard to get the follow-up kill on.

Spirit is one of the strongest killers, but isn't terribly exciting at times. Phasing while in a chase is like spinning a prize wheel some days.

Plague can secure kills really easily, but your rank will suffer for it.

Clown has amazing chase potential, but nothing else. Deathslinger at least has a slight stealth element to his chase.

Oni is what Hillbilly should be, and has the best killer aesthetic in the game.

Legion and Huntress are also about to get their own Archives, so they'd be ones to prioritise if that's something you're after. If you also want to consider perks, then Spirit, Plague and Clown would be the ones to look at since at least two of their perks are usable on several killers.

    @Accullla said:

Oni's pretty fun to play and also very strong against good survivors, but he does take a bit of practice.

Deathslinger is really good too if you play a lot of FPS games.

Legion is pretty fun if you like running around stabbing people

Spirit is really strong, but she's also extremely boring to play

Plague could be a bit too much if you're put off by puking

I find clown a bit boring to play, but he's great at ending chases really quick

I believe the other non licensed killers come with the game, so you should already have everyone else.

Console players get Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag and Doctor standard.

  • I run the following, always have and have quite a reasonable success rate, getting up to purple ranks before the dreaded massive reset, then survivor archive grinds.

BBq & Chilli - good for tracking/BP gain to refund add-ons, but I'm actually considering swapping off it.

Hex: Ruin - to slow the game down just a little bit since if you can apply pressure correctly, it's still devastating to a team.

Surveillance - always have, always will. Excellent perk to keep track of survivors outside of a chase and doesn't require hooks to do so. Used it before the Ruin rework too. Very underrated perk.

A Nurse's Calling - you are a STEALTH KILLER. Nurse's is one of the greatest perks to ambush people with as a stealth killer and get easy downs. Occasionally I'll slug with this one, especially if they've recently been unhooked as a form of applying pressure in a more insidious manner.

As for add-ons, there is the usual combo of Crate of Gears/Tampered Timer to basically become Amanda and throw away the key. I personally prefer the Dash add-on, using two of the following in combination of John's Medical File/Video Tape/Combat Straps, as getting that first hit with Dash is satisfying and effective.

There is also one thing that I have wanted to try, but I'm not sure how well it would go and that is taking Amanda's Letter (crouch wallhacks) and Video Tape on The Game map. Crouch wall-hacks with a fast charging ambush.

"Against a Freddy, though, there is still mind-gaming at loops, proper snare/pallet placement, correct teleportation"

The Freddy doesn't need to have proper snare placement because there is no punishment for spamming them. That's the point, the player doesn't need to utilize any knowledge they may learn as Freddy, because they can just mindlessly spam away.

I did say this earlier, but that's like placing Hag traps near a hooked survivor. It's a braindead way to play, but it is effective. There are ways of playing Freddy, or ANY killer that isn't completely mindless. If there is a way to not play into the killer's wishes in that way, then I'm sorry, but it's up to survivors to find and utilise that method.

Some of these, though, cannot simply be a "survivor deal with it" issue such as the Hag hooks and I accept that. I don't see snare-spam anywhere and I've played Freddy closer to Trapper with very pleasing results.

This might be an issue though of the community perception of a strong killer simply being ease of a 4k (which Freddy can certainly do!) compared to the devs caring more about the emblem system.

I can't stand the fact that it has a lower visual quality than DbD mobile. Best games I've had though are picking the AJ chick (I think that's the one. The emo one in black with the stealth stats.....) and just playing like a Blendette.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1237970#Comment_1237970

They both require so much stalk that it's alot of your teams fault. Sure, it's dumb that myers can come over, stalk you for 2-3 seconds, and then pop perma tier 3 on you. But it's not any less dumb than having a Freddy teleporting onto your generator to regress it like 3 times in a row because your team is getting bodied. Or Oni / Plague popping their power on you when you haven't seen them all game. Or legion getting a free stab on you because your team was nearby and got spotted, etc etc.

I've had games where myers comes over to me at the start of the game, and im at a jungle gym or the shack, and he just loses the game right there because by the time he realizes that im not letting him stalk me for free, 2-3 gens are 50% done already.

Freddy is a BP machine in addition to being so strong, so with BBQ you can be running ridiculous builds on him often as well. Every game is like 40-50k, up to 80-90k with a pudding; so every game is almost a bloodweb. And every bloodweb usually has 2-3 of: mori's, black wards, strong purple add-ons, ultra-rares, or cheesy killer-sided maps.

    @Shocktober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1237970#Comment_1237970

Compare that to tombstone myers where your pretty expensive tombstone build, which can't really afford to run BBQ against good players, is going to be getting you like 11-12k points. But a Freddy Ultra rare game will be getting you the 50k or more with BBQ.

Well, I generally don't consider BP gains as a sign of a killer's worth, as it can be manipulated with perks such as BBq. And while, yes, Tombstone Myers is incredibly expensive, it's a far more braindead approach than trying to set up snares or believable pallets as Freddy.

I'm also the type of player that believes that the individual shouldn't be overly punished for the errors of the TEAM in this case. I shouldn't be deleted because I can run someone and hide, but my team can't. If I get beaten by a Freddy, I KNOW that they are simply a better killer than I am survivor. Or they found the hatch and I didn't get a gate in time. They didn't get carried by a stupid add-on that removes 90% of gameplay.

If I do go against a Tombstone Myers (and yes this happened), avoid him at all costs but he catches wind of me. We're already two minutes into the match, I've done some totems to avoid the possibility of NoED, so I've only done one generator. I chase him through the Cowshed, disappeared with Dance with Me, Lithe and Q&Q. Doubled back to throw him off, but must have realised. Hid behind a tree, he found me, I tried to run, popped Tier-III, grabbed me and I was dead. My total gains? Bit over 5k bloodpoints and a de-pip. Maybe 6k. I was too annoyed at my idiot team to notice. He did nothing but stalk, and get ONE HIT to kill me. Only intelligent bit of gameplay was reading through my double-back.

Against a Freddy, though, there is still mind-gaming at loops, proper snare/pallet placement, correct teleportation and all that usual killer stuff.

  • @TheRockstarKnight said:

They'd need a new game mode for this to really work.

Having any kind of creature that drives Survivors raving mad just by looking at it or even being near it probably wouldn't work too well in the main game; and I can't think of many mythos creatures that should be beholden to the Entity's power.

The whole deal with Lovecraftian horror is how inconceivably cosmic and potent that Cthulhu and those like it are. If whatever it is is just another toy of the Entity's it'd lose that.

All this said, a few of H.P. Lovecraft's stories are public domain, so such a theoretical chapter might not even need to be licensed.

And we already have a Killer who drives Survivors into insanity, screaming like madmen. He's called Herman Carter.

  • Lovecraftian Horror lives and thrives on two very simple things: subtly and showing just how insignificant we are. There will never be a video game mechanic that can actually show comprehending the incomprehensible, and THAT is why we'll never get a true Lovecraftian game or chapter. In "Call of Cthulhu" they ram the boat into the beast, but it ignores them like a fly landing on someone. Cthulhu does not care about the realms of mortals, such as us.

That being said, it both would be cool and kind of possible to do a chapter based on Innsmouth themed chapter with one of the Fish-People as the killer, and the stereotypical grizzled detective as the survivor.

There would also have to be a way to work around the super-racism that underlies Lovecraft's work. Like, even for THOSE times he was considered horribly racist. But then again, since quite a lot of the Cthulhu Mythos has been written by several different authors, then it should be easy to dodge.

  • @Shocktober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1237934#Comment_1237934

Infinite tier 3 / tombstone myers can both be trapped in tier 1 for a long time against a good team. Tombstone grabs are super finicky on dedicated servers, and can be countered by jumping into a locker.

Instasaw bubba and billy both can be looped, unlike Freddy. Freddy can also ignore BT alot of the time, and can drop DS straight onto snares.

Point was for them is that they largely require one hit with a braindead approach. And there is nothing less satisfying than having a Myers stalk you for 0.2 of a second, then killing you instantly.

  • @arslaN said:

If you think the regular Hook-Trap spamming hag is bad, you should go against the Mint Rag + Rusty Shackles + Make Your Choice build sometime lol. It is one of the most annoying builds to go against in the entire game.

I've faced enough Hags who just go after me after they place at least 3 traps virtually at my feet. I don't need to add Rag/Shackles to that list too. Just seeing a Hag makes me want to DC more than Hillbilly or Leatherface, and I hate those two more.

  • Ok. Just because I killer plays slightly differently to the rest of the cast doesn't make them braindead. You can play him like Trapper with his snares, which is what I do a majority of the time, but you also get the added bonus of not having to pick them up and can try to shut off long loops or infinites by either snaring them for a hit or psyching them out into running off. Maybe most people aren't just big brain enough to enjoy Freddy, like how Hag players spam traps at hooks.

If we want to talk about braindead killers, how about something like Infinite Tier-III Myers, or even Tombstone Myers, Insta-saw Bubba and Billy or Hook-Trap Hag.

  • @bangbison said:

Doing 4 totems yourself and getting hit with noed.

*Without Small Game or Detective's Hunch, being the only one to die because of NoED, then every killer on the forums telling you go "do bones".

  • ANY instant-down killer should be A-Tier, since you only need one hit. Myers should possibly still be in B-Tier, though.

Hag should also be way higher, because an overwhelming majority of Hag players play the trap proxy-camp and will not care about "fairness", or "tunnelling" in order to secure a kill.

I love playing Pig, and find it easy to secure kills over the course of a game, but unless you're basing this off the terrible Trap-Tunnel playstyle, then she should actually be lower.

Deathslinger is really good at ending chases, same as Nurse, so they should be somewhat higher.

Half the killer "tier lists" are based on a similar thing. Some of them also add map pressure though.

  • Depending on the killer and the weapon hit, then technically every survivor would die in one hit, but stealth gameplay would be superior than learning how to loops killers.

Also, how does zero TR affect KILLERS? Or perks that affect/based on a killer's TR?

  • It drives me crazy and the reason I started using Decisive Strike. Kills do not make a Killer to me, being a DbD "killer" is more about being a horror antagonist and if raw kills are what someone is after, then I wholeheartedly tell people that Friday the 13th: The Game is a better choice for them as your literal goal and only purpose as Jason is to slaughter everybody.

  • Zoomer refers to members of Generation Z and is a play on the term "Boomer," which refers to members of the Baby Boomer generation. Basically the "No U" of being called a Boomer.

  • Depends on the game. Also, 1 DC generally means one escape for me.

If I've absolutely dominated and crushed the survivors, extending out the game BECAUSE I CAN and do so freely, then I might let the last one go. Ultimately it's up to them. They play hard, then I play hard and there is zero mercy.

  • Spine Chill because of permanency and zero cooldown. The boost to some actions is also kinda helpful in a few clutch situations, even if it is extremely rare.

Bond/Empathy is more of a personal choice, but I'd say Bond for general use. If I hear TR and see someone running in circles, then I know I'm not the target. It's also useful to track other survivors against instant-down killers, which Empathy cannot. If you want to play more of a healer, then Empathy might be a better way to go. Empathy is also good against killers like Plague who keep people injured, but she's rarely used.

I also used to main a basic dark-clothed Claudette with Sprint Burst, Self-Care, Spine Chill and Bond. If Spine Chill was up with nobody nearby, yeet. Someone running on Bond with flickering Chill? Stay and work on the generator. So, combined I'd say Spine Chill and Bond because the information you can get from just that is incredible and it got me to red ranks in a mix of SWF and solo play.

You could argue if you are the last alive without being hooked, then you failed your team by not taking pressure off them by taking a hook for them. But I agree that it's frustrating.

In some situations you're right, but as someone who is primarily a stealth survivor, and also with certain types of maps such as Azarov's Resting Place (the |---| one) it's not always the case. My current build (for fun, but it's somehow functional) uses Quick & Quiet, Lithe and Dance with Me to simply disappear from a chase. I held the killer off my teammates for a while, but the killer either lost me or didn't continue the chase.

There have been multiple games where I've had a hook or two go by and I haven't even caught wind of a terror radius, just because I'm on the other side of the map. That's not me failing to be a supportive teammate, that's just the luck of the game.

But yes, it happens to me quite a bit and it's super annoying but Tippy's right. They'll just face you until you struggle.

It would be nearly useless since Xbox, Playstation, and Steam chats all exist, and people playing the game who aren't in a chat probably aren't that interested in talking to people in the first place.

As an Xbox player, the general consensus on Party Chat is DO NOT GO INTO A RANDOM'S PARTY as 95% of the time it'll be some sort of zoomer sqeaker group, generally with obnoxiously loud music in the background. It's not that we don't want to talk and coordinate, it's that most of us can't stand squeakers who take 3 times as long to pronounce my gamertag borderline yelling into a $20 headset mic.

And yes, I know it is a negative stereotype, but it exists for a reason. I've had it happen too many times across various games.

  • Weird. The only DbD mobile I can find is the cheap knockoff called "Dead Before Daylight".

They are not even trying to hide the fact that it's a rip-off of DbD. It's so blatant and all the reviews are just complaining about how the game crashes and terrible frame rates.

Honestly, if the dev teams don't know about it, then you might want to look into it @Peanits. It is a free game, but I don't know what kind of monetisation they have.

  • I play Slaanesh in Warhammer 40k. Does that help?

  • I'm gonna say Kate for the hottest survivor. I like Yui, but she as a case of Pancakeitis going on.

As for killer, I do enjoy having my Pig wrapped in black leather.

  • Pig in black leather.

    Done. Solved.

I don't understand the issue with blinding at pallets? It can be used to make distance if the killer chooses the wrong way when blinded. It is a perfectly valid use of a torch.

No such thing as perk abuse, only use.

I agree on ebony moris though. Tunnelling off first hook for it is stupid.

Getting torched at a pallet is infuriating and kinda inflammatory. Especially if I don't do any underhanded tactics. I may be a Stealth Killer, but you have eyes.

As for perk abuse, bodyblocking with Borrowed Time and 60 second "immunity" with Decisive Strike are widely considered to be an abuse of power when it comes to these perks. Bodyblocking with BT allows for some INCREDIBLY unsafe hooks to go off with relative safety. Some survivors also think that having DS will make a killer "respect" them as they go to make stupid mistakes or reckless actions, such as those safe unhooks or doing a generator in the killer's face and feeling immune while doing so as a killer SURELY doesn't want the 5 second stun and to be labelled as a tunneller, right?

THAT is perk abuse. Use and abuse is a fine line in DbD. It takes a bit to know when it's been crossed.

  • One for both to consider as a disclaimer. - Unless provoked, please try to adhere to these guidelines. The other side's existance is not provocation. If there are signs of toxicity, then all rules may be ignored.

    Survivor:

-BE CAUTIOUS when using a flashlight. Blinding at pallets or rapid clicking are invitations for tunnelling.

-ABUSE PERKS at your OWN RISK. Decisive Strike/Borrowed Time/Unbreakable does not make you immune to a killer.

    Killer:

-CONSIDER YOUR RANK when choosing add-ons. Unless you're above Rank 5, nobody likes seeing twin Pink add-ons, ESPECIALLY below Rank 15.

    - LAST MATCH is no excuse to bring an Ebony Mori and kill off first hook. We all have bad matches. Get over it.
