The point of the third person view for survivors is that it's almost like their creeping sense. An ability to see without your eyes. Like a premonition in a way. And looking around while working on a gen, builds a conflict of attention, which builds a sense of tension. To me, it's as genius of game design as something like the radio in Silent Hill.

You know what builds more effective tension?

    Not knowing.....

A power role dosent and shouldn't exist

You're playing an Asymmetrical game....thats literally what its about...

  • I dunno, I don't have this issue when I play pig, but then again....I'm playing pig. When I play some other killer who doesn't have innate slow down, or is running full gen slow perks its a wrap...game is over before it even started.

Hello fellow killer mains. How do you guys counter 360s/window techs/locker techs/ dumb tech and things like that??? I am looking for some tips because I am a rank 10 survivor main but I am starting to play a lot of killer.

360's Press S and swing in case they're trying to body press you.

Window tech... look down after you vault a window.

Locker tech....open the locker instead of swinging at it.

That's the issue you are not going to be able to set up fully every time that is an over used argument that dodges the actual issue with trapper and completely shuts down any point for conversation to address the real issue with him. A Trapper is as strong as the survivors allow him to be at high ranks he's very hard to play unless you sweat your butt off he may be strong at low ranks but just saying oh he can snowball is not a valid reason why he shouldn't be buffed in that case leatherface can snowball so therefore he does not need a rework see how shady that logic is.

Again thats coming from a rank 1 trapper main with almost 4k hours on him.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/UYVZJ51CQ4DO/untitled.png

Honestly, I don't think you should worry too much about Pyramid Head and power creep. Compared to trapper anyway.

Yes trappers set ups and traps are low key a time consuming hindrance and it took them forever to make it so he doesn't lock himself in while setting a trap but that being said, Pyramid head doesn't even really have a power. You play at high ranks, every survivor looks behind them when they run, knows loops, and knows how to dodge hatchets, let alone PH's GIANT wind up, and big ass box on the floor that shows you where its headed before it even launches, on top of the powers hit box and delay being astronomically bad. I would rate the current trapper better than PH. No bullshit. All the hype and bad rank 20 survivors saying he's good, ignore it. You have more utility and power in Wraith than PH. Now if they could get his power to work effectively and not miss people when its a single pixel off even though they're standing in the damn thing, then maybe we can talk about his power comparisons. But as it stands right now, he's incredibly overhyped. I love the aesthetics though......but yeah.

Maybe they adjust trapper down the line, one can hope. But with the speed game times are at right now getting that snowball set up isn't really in his control.

  • Or you can like....dodge.....like 90% of the other survivors facing him right now having 0 issues dodging when he has a gigantic wind up. If you still don't know how to look behind you during chases I can see having a problem with his ranged attack. But you not being able to run properly is another issue entirely outside of your problems with pyramid head....

  • I mean.....you're not wrong, but I dunno when if ever they're going to bring trapper out of the garbage can and make him strong. His power relies on people running into predictive situations, has a long set up time (which is terrible because time is everything) and you can detect trappers power with a simple and free survivor perk one that I actually run frequently. So I dunno. He's needed some love for a long time, but I doubt they'll do anything as big as the Freddy or Doc rework cause like....nobody plays him....cept for a handful of people...

I don’t see why everyone is against feng min. By FAR the BEST survivor there is. She needs cooler cosmetics TOO!!

People don't hate Feng Min, but when you walk around with the equivalent of neon lights and go down within the first few seconds of a match...thats not hate....thats easy prey.

  • Those aren't considered babies, same with silent hill, and other movies which feature demonic/zombie/monster babies. They aren't considered human, or alive, and they get portrayed in such a way that wouldn't lead the audience into assuming they were actual babies.

IE: giving demon babies the ability to sprint across a dark room, or having them be missing an eye but the other one is red and demonic, or having them fall into pieces like doll toys, or having them reach out of walls like monsters to grab the player.

As long as they're portrayed in a way that doesn't trigger a legal investigation and as long as you keep said children/kids looking or operating in a way thats supernatural or inhuman, you have leeway to put them into horror scenes.

But IF YOU DARE EVER....EEEEEVER!!! Have Michael Myers stab a child, and or baby, you can kiss your project goodbye. Cause the license holder and some government entity is gonna wake up and unleash holy hell.

This thread is not about keys vs Mori's, this is about Mori's (Keys are their own separate issue). You bring up keys and I will flip my flop yo.

I don't understand why an offering should have a direct effect on the match in the first place (unless it's on the final hook).

Just make it a cool alternative death for someone on death hook and give the Killer extra points. Yes, it's a big nerf, but it shouldn't of had this kind of impact on a match in the first place. (This also still allows you to bypass DS on death hook so it's still useful in some ways).

BNP was nerfed for deleting Survivor's objectives, yet the Ebony Mori continues to do that for the Killer.

Is there something I'm missing or?

Yeah, you're missing the fact that the only reason all this ######### is popping up again is due to gen speed/games going by too fast. If a game ends in the time it takes to finish 3 chases, its too god damn fast...

So what have killers been doing in response? Carrying more Mori's. Carrying more NoED <----######### I've even been throwing it into a few builds and I haven't ran NoED in...like....over a year? And I'm a pig main, I shouldn't have to prep for short games at all.... But every time I go into a match with my kit its loaded up with slow down perks.

  • I mean....it would force people to do hexes, but it would also kinda kill all other hexes because people will be naturally rushing to kill them. Putting any build that uses hexes in a ######### state because your lit totems stick out like a sore thumb. That being said I really do hate the hex system and wish it was improved, especially for some unused hexes like blind etc.

Wraith isn't fun to play against a lot too, but that's more because the people who play him tend to be campers. And that's more a player thing than a killer thing.

his powers suck though, its to be expected from a killer who has no mobility, no engage, and no alternative objectives.

He doesn't even have stealth going for him you can see his aura moving across the map....

You probably gave the best response. :). Hopefully this doesn’t affect our chances of getting a Child’s Play Chapter and IT Chapter

They can still do those chapters, but the catch is, they would have to use adult characters as the survivors. No matter how much it clashes with the lore of the original movies. And if you look at those movies, even though they did use kids and teenagers, they were EXTREMELY careful with the portrayal of violence to make sure things were up to standards and practices.

  • @BabyCameron10 said:

I know Dead by Daylight has a rule of having survivor to be 18+ years old to be in the game but the other day I was watching Halloween: H20 (The third movie following the events of the original) and I came across Laurie to confirm that she was 17 years old the night of the boogeyman’s attack (so not 18=breaking the 18+ rule). So if we were to ever get a pennywise chapter, will they allow kids to be survivors? or an original chapter to have kids.? I think this was the reason they didn’t have any of the kids from The Stranger Things series but who knows. I just think it will be fun to be a short survivor.

Its an ethics thing, its the same reason horror movies don't show babies getting murdered. Or if kids do die, it happens off camera. Having kids in this game would really push the rating above what even the goriest horror movies portray.

Example, you have a monster movie, the monster picks up a baby carriage where the audience assumes theres still a baby in the carriage, the monster then throws the carriage 100 feet into the air out of the shot then the movie cuts to another shot, never explaining to the audience what happened to the baby, or even if there was a baby in the carriage. <----Thats as far as you can go.

Another example, Murderer enters a home, 3 kids sitting in front of the TV, murderer enters the room and at best you can show the shocked face of these kids for a split second before cutting away with NO sound effects. Hero comes into the room and finds the bodies of said children, but all the audience sees are small snips and odd camera angles never showing the childrens bodies, and no blood. Scene cuts away and the movie continues. <----Again even for kids under 18 thats as far as you can go.

You can show a child who's been drowned where its assumed it was an accidental death, you can show a child under 18 in a morgue where its assumed the death isn't traumatic, but no disfigured corpse, as in you can paint their faces white so the audience assumes what happened, but no bloating. You can show a ghost baby with zombie like makeup on it, but you can't show a baby being bitten by a zombie.

You get it? There's ethical degrees to this ######### where you can push the limit, and with DBD being the game it is, with the blood, and the attacking, they wouldn't be able to get away with it without it going way too far. And on top of that, some of the perverted side of this community really don't need more fuel to turn into borderline illegal content.....

    I didn't justify it, I offered a suggestion.

To sit here and say that people should just take their game being ruined by someone who selfishly cares only about their own personal enjoyment of it is ridiculous. I don't play games with people I don't enjoy playing with. This is people's finite free time we're talking about - for a game they spent money to enjoy. So I'm not promoting DCing to let someone get the hatch, but I am suggesting that if you want to lessen the likelihood that it happens to you - don't play like such a sweat. If the last person gets the hatch because you hooked the last survivor, so what? You still got a 3k, which is higher than what BHVR considered balance. This idea that anything less than a 4k is a loss drives people to play this game in a way that just ruins it for everyone else. As a solo survivor especially, I am super tired of it.

Thats equally obtuse. To say, "Well if the killer is trying too hard"

    like #########?

You realize how ridiculous that sounds?!?! Let me throw in something similar for comparison....

"If you get a sweaty SWF group the killer wouldn't have DC'd if you guys weren't so sweaty" <---- Passing the buck and rage quitting or DCing in either scenario or justifying it is goofy as hell...

Killers get sweaty try hard survivors all the time, survivors get sweaty try hard killers all the time <---- Instead of making excuses for either side to DC when confronted with difficulty why not raise the bar to the level of play you're confronted with?!?

This lazy mentality people have around here is the real toxicity. Be better....

This ######### forum man yall.... I'm....

You got DC'd on one time and suddenly the penalty hasn't made any difference? LOL right.

Maybe don't slug to 4k and they won't DC for hatch. 🤷

DCing isn't a normal part of gameplay... why are you justifying this? Like I can understand some survivor whining about mori balance or people saying Do bones as a counter to noED, or killer mains complaining about gen speed and people saying carrying dying light or thano or sloppy butcher etc etc.

But all those solutions involve PLAYING THE GAME!

To sit up and say, you don't like something so the only way to counter it is to do something that isn't in the spirit of the game is childish to say the least.

Woah dude, I have been coming here on occasion for a while now. Not a whole ton, but here and there. I just haven't seen any people talk about this in my time here. Sorry I set you off so bad right in the first sentence though. Wasn't trying to be "special" with my legitimate question. I didn't think I was the only one who thought about it, I just said I haven't really seen people mention it and gave a detailed explanation of why I think it's a good idea.

your suggestion in particular doesn't get mentioned much, ignore the troll.

Assuming this community wasn't toxic and the stars aligned though. The implimentation of such a feature balance wise would force them to remove so many informational survivor perks some people might have a serious fit. It also might force them to buff killer perks to the point where if you choose not to cooperate as a survivor in the slightest, you lose every time.

  • Edited lightning like this should be bannable...

I was all with this post until I saw your screen basically looks like you have ultra lightborn on 24/7 which lets you see survivors as if it was broad daylight and ruins the texture blending if they try to hide. Almost as if you don't even have environmental shadows at all.....

    EXPLAIN THIS BULLSHIT!!!

  • Survivor only chapters are boring as hell, since all survivors are just clones with different skins....

I get theres ways to counter it but who the ######### is actually gonna cleanse totems during high ranks no one and I know ruin got nerfed because it was overused but how the ######### is it any different from NOED hex:ruin wasn't that difficult either and i know someones gonna comment saying cleanse totems but who the ######### even tries now it wastes time and most of the time you cant even find NOED and queuing with teammates is literally the worst because they don't even do anything correctly and its a horrible combination with blood warden I play on switch not that many people play dbd on it so we queue with the same people i was with the same people and the exact same thing happened and You can use perks to cleanse totems but honestly im not sacrificing a perk slot for a perk that shows you the indication of objectives. either that they remove the speed bonuses and make the speed 4% slower and show the auras of survivors who are farther away from exit games. either that or remove it completely and if someone were to comment remove adrenaline and DS well those perks are really easy to counter. If you know a possible adrenaline player pick them up before the gen pops or literally equip Blood warden.

DS is easier to counter just slug them and if they have unbreakable just hit them again because there injured and not that many people run unbreakable so just slug them.

FYI Adrenaline might need to get rid of its Speed Boost Totally agree with that but Don't remove it

and DS when you stun the killer your aura will be shown to the killer for 4/5/6 Seconds when fully healed

The big question is... Why are you still tilted by a perk you already know how to counter? A perk which, btw is run a majority by M1 killers.....

Also, if you ever wanna improve in the game you gotta stop giving yourself excuses as why NOT to do something. You say, you shouldn't use a perk slot to find objectives.....so.... that means you're not willing to look for hexes period. If you're the type of person to skip out on hexes then you'll continually get caught off guard by them.

  • @Boss said:

What's the Perk that, to you, seems like it'll never leave your main build?

So yeah, you could make fun variations on the side and stuff, but when you're 100% serious, this 1 Perk seems like it CANNOT leave your build.

For me, while Barbecue & Chili would be the more common answer i think, i actually almost always have Enduring on ever since i unlocked it.

I just love not caring about Pallets. 🤷‍♂️

Thanatophobia and Dying light.....cause ######### it....slow the game down by any means necessary!!!

Are there any irons in the work regarding Cross-Progression?

I believe Cross-Progression would be great for the game and allow people to transfer over to different consoles; It might encourage people to continue playing when they're in the midst of transferring consoles

It would also help for Dead By Daylight to implement a sort of club/account thing like Ubisoft's Uplay or Rockstar Accounts that helped them implement GTA V which retains so much popularity with some credit to them being able to port a game released for many people on 360, PS3 to Xbox One and PS4

I have been pondering this personally because I love this game, i've spent a lot of money on it. I have every killer, Nancy, Yui, Zarina, tons of cosmetics and I have the 2nd Rift Pass cosmetics such as Clown.

I am planning on purchasing a PC and transferring over to Xbox, so that I could enjoy higher quality play and to (not really but) be punished for switching consoles would suck

    Its a good idea.

You're missing the entire point, the streaming aspect is only one example, but there are people who will just target others for no reason, they played better than them in a previous game, so all games from then on is them tunneling every match, simply but another person who can only see it from a very very skewed killer perspective "If the killer is targeting someone CLEARLY that survivor did something wrong" when that simply isn't the case always.

And yes, allowing people to see tags does create a better community, hiding names at the start of a match and then showing them at the end isn't an issue, it's the fact that you can arm yourself with a mori, or the idea to tunnel one specific person before you even get into the match.

and you say it's a rare occurrence but so are the 4-man sweat squads we've all seen but I know for a fact you've been in threads discussing and deciding on the best ways to nerf survivors that play with friends, so once again, a killer that only wants changes as long as they benefit them and not the game as a whole.

Yeah but SWAT teams aren't toxic outside of the game, they aren't even toxic inside of the game. SWAT teams only effect the balance of the game, in the same way an Eboni Mori shifts a matchup.

Balanced Game mechanics are not in the same category as player toxicity and community interaction.

What you're complaining about already has a report function for it BUILT INTO THE GAME.

When people complain about SWAT teams regardless of the rarity of either situation, there is no in game function to deal with them outside of balancing the game. And since they have no bearing on the outside of the game (IE your examples of targeted....HARASSMENT!!) <---they have no bearing on toxicity or player interaction.

I talk about game balance, what you're talking about is something totally outside the spectrum of game development, you're talking about a community issue.

What you're doing is reaching by taking something experienced by a handful of people and generalizing it over the community as a whole, while at the same time trying to conflate it with game mechanics and balance, which has nothing to do with community interaction or perception. So someone brings a mori and targets you because they can see your name is AngryPug <---- Is it BHVR's job to cater the game to someone elses personal interactions outside of the game? Just because you happen to be known as one of the most toxic survivors in the community and a killer choose to instantly target and mori you, is it BHVR's job to cater the game around your infamy outside of the game?!?!

And I say outside of the game because no one would know who the ######### you even are unless you had an interaction with them before that they can remember, or you make yourself enough of a public figure that your nametag garners infamy? And the same can be applied to survivors being toxic toward a killer who's infamous.... Its not BHVR's job to cater the game to your public image or public and private interactions....its their job to ban people who abuse the TOS.

And from my perspective as a killer main, I come across a thousand names, none of them that I'll ever remember save it be for the streamers I've come across, and even then, I'll likely never be matched up with them again given how insanely large the player base is. So to me, you're all just a buncha NPC's I have to kill and bring franklins to matches when I see one of you carrying a flashlight....

Now if I see the name Monto pop up as a survivor I'm facing and decide to mori him out of the match early because his name and outside persona garner infamy and theres a high chance he will make the match more difficult than what it needs to be..... Did BHVR or me give him that infamy? Who's responsible for public perception? The person driving the wheel of their own public figure, or the audience? And you can't blame me for mori'ing him cause I didn't create infamy behind that name. And thats just for public figures, I haven't even started to break down player to player interactions where neither individual is a public figure.

  • @KingFrost said:

I think that on your first hook, if there are no survivors in a 12M Radius, and the killer IS, the hook timer should be paused. This would be disabled if all Gens are complete. I think that'd be completely fair.

I think they mentioned even having a kick function for people trying to farm you off the hook. But I haven't seen any of this idea tossed around by them for at least a year plus. But if you could kick people off you from unhooking or making an unsafe unhook, it could help, But if put in tandem with pausing hook progression while the killer was within range of the hook that would be the perfect combination.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1222259#Comment_1222259

Changing the character you play won't stop someone targeting you if they know who you are from your profile

Theres literally millions of players in this game, and 10s of thousands in queue at any given moment..... this gang stalking you're talking about is so rare and already has a report function for it. If you're gathering infamy from killers to the point where they know your name enough to even target you first that means you've had some kind of previous toxic interaction with them, thats it, thats the only way it can ever happen. Just because the two of you have some kinda weird toxic relationship with each other doesn't mean the rest of the community isn't mature enough to handle themselves.

Besides, if we couldn't see tags, I personally would have never followed, subscribed, nor had some of the amazing experiences I've had with streamers over the course of this game. I even made a little promo video of all the scares of my favorite streamers I could gather. Of which, I couldn't gather, if I didn't know they existed as streamers in the first place.

Plus there's been many a meme and joke shared post game about peoples names from the lobby and TAB menu.

Again, just because a handful of people are having immature reactions to each other, doesn't mean the entire community is just as trash as the people having the issue. Like sometimes you need to put your grown up pants on and communicate with people. You're having an issue with some guy named BigBootyKiller89 over and over again? You already know each others tags, either one of you has probably already reported one another for stupid ######### in the first place. So....I dunno....you ever try talking to the person and resolving things like an adult?

Foreign concept for this modern era but I promise you, its very much viable.

We've suggested ideas like that in the past, or even suggesting the devs make a new game mode or something but.... everytime its like they kinda just meh, and brush it off to the side. The game can get redundant really fast. Its amazing to me that they haven't incorporated a new game mode, especially when their player population was at an all time high.

So, a few days ago I was extremely hyped that I had finally saved 9000 Iridescent Shards so I could buy The Oni, a killer that I wanted to main. I went into the Store in-game, hovered over the Oni, and pressed the purchase button. The game froze for a second, and then said purchase failed. When it returned, I was looking the scree with the square grid of survivors and it showed me as having Yui Kimura at level 1. I was obviously pissed because that is not the character I had wanted to buy.

So I figured it would be fine, I would just explain what happened to the support team and they would make it right. But nope, they essentially told me to piss off because the EULA says shards are non-refundable. I don't even need a refund, they can just take away Yui from my account and credit Oni because that's who I was trying to buy. But they couldn't even do that. So now I'm left with no shards and a character who I haven't touched (because I DON'T WANT HER) through no fault of my own. I get not refunding because people regret their purchases or something, but this was literally just the UI being horrible and I'm being punished for it. I've bought 2 DLCs for this game but going forward I'm not spending a penny on this game because its clear BHVR doesn't give a ######### about its players.

I wouldn't say thats anti consumer....but what it is is....

Really ######### customer support. Clearly be it a bug or whatever something jumped the shark and made you purchase the wrong item or thing or whatever. You can always gauge the professionalism of a game team based on their ability to fix player error or in game error. And in this case....that was a really ######### response from them. Most normal teams will say

"Thanks for the ticket, we will investigate further and get back to you"

And if they can look at the log and go "ok this thing was purchased" All we have to do is go into the account and remove the tag for Yui being owned and replace it for the Oni tag without having to refund any shards or whatever.

If they don't have an easy way to tackle a problem like this then BHVR is slacking incredibly hard compared to most modern game companies and needs to step up their game quite literally. And if they do have a way to resolve it and are just being robotic in their response then.... ######### it....don't spend another dollar.

And before you say, "B...b....but iridescent shards are free"

If they can't handle free earned in game currency and purchases why the ######### would you trust them with real money?

I'd really like to understand why/who thought an instant down axe item would be beneficial to the game!?

who sat there and thought "i know, lets stick in another toxic item for survivors after waiting 5/10/15 minutes for a game for an average killer to be able to instantly down them with a single shot"

whats more worrying is the fact that after someone has come up with the idea a whole team of people have thought "that's brilliant! why don't we also add in an item that allows killers to kill survivors after a single hook, that would be a fantastic mechanic !! making DS completely useless allowing the killers to tunnel with no issues again (which DS was created to stop) what a fantastic mechanic to encourage more people to play after they've waited 10+ minutes for a game!

so yeah I just waited 13 minutes for a game just to be owned by an average killer that had this stupid item. It's like they're TRYING to make the game toxic and for people to quit.

The people who thought up instant down axe are probably survivors who aren't potatos and can dodge axes.....

I already hear survivor mains typing away about how killers are wanting to much. First off, i am a survivor main too. Second off, the nerf would help balance the odds evenly. What if on self-care, it had tokens? Each level of self-care has an extra token, with the final level having 3 tokens. You consume a token every time you heal yourself. Sounds simple to me. Besides, 3 chances to heal yourself can be plenty in some cases.

As a killer main I have no difficulty with self care...it doesn't need a nerf....

In fact...I love survivors who take it and waste time. For 1 health state that I can go back and down them quickly anyway, it doesn't change the outcome.

I hate saying this but....you need to git guud or go carry sloppy butcher.....

So we all know the big names when it comes to the best Streamers/Youtubers..

For Killers we have the likes of OtzDarva, Tru3Talent and Ralph

And for Survivors we have Ayrun, No0b3, Ussylis, Monto ect.

But in your opinions who are some of the little known players that can top them?

I'm casting a vote for Scorpionz for skill and style.

  • I've actually stopped playing as much because the game feels like its lost its spirit. Its no longer a spooky horror fest. Instead its just people try harding and min maxing and BHVR giving free information to survivors to the point where you can't be scared by anything because you know everything thats going on at all times...

I'm sure there were some special people that complained about the changes to god loops or how gigantic maps have had their size reduced.

But the main complaint people have been talking about is about a change that is not mentioned in the patch notes, which is the increase in complete deadzones. Now I haven't seen many deadzones myself during my time with the ptb, so I'm certain some people were just exagerrating, which is to be expected on these forums, but I have gotten a few maps to spawn with too much empty space and too few pallets as well. And I think that is a valid complaint.

Having maps be more balanced by reducing their size, distributing loops and tiles more fairly so survivors don't have too many safe places, and fixing god loops is all good, but creating big deadzones where survivors have nothing to work with is not good, that's for sure.

If theres a bunch of empty space zones thats probably an error with the map generator. Not enough to freak out about though. I would assume its a bug....as with many things in PTB that look obviously bugged.

Self Care is an extremely selfish perk that discourages teamwork. Whenever I see someone with self care, instead of helping out with gens or finding other survivors to heal them, they run off into some corner and heal, preventing progress. Even as a solo queue I've never needed to self care over finding another survivor.

HEEEELLLL NO! Do you realize how many kills I've gotten from people being selfish? Survivors deserve the right to screw themselves over. And for the ones who use it intelligently they deserve the right to do so and profit from it.

  • I don't personally care about it because I'm probably one of the few killer players who runs the locker exposed perk....but um....if you wanna give me the insta down by going into a locker I'm all for it.

  • @TheRockstarKnight said:

    No, that'd be insanely strong.

Even if it had a 5 minute cooldown that's 4 pallets that can come back in the right hands.

Heck even if it could only be used once or twice all game by any of the four Survivors that's potentially a god pallet that was used just back.

I agree AMN needs some love, but this is not it.

Maybe slightly longer stun durations? Or revealing the aura of the closest dropped pallet while the perk is active?

    INFINITE GOD PALLETS!!!!

it instantly makes a match more intense, and... its beautiful. its not something you see in every match, a cool animation of getting killed directly by the killers hands.

i dont get why almost every survivor hates it but it makes the match more fun for me, i hope if theyre ever going to rework moris, they give it to killers at least once by default in every match

You have expensive tastes.... I don't even like using them because they never show up in my bloodweb....or, I'll forget to use them because I've gotten used to the fact that I'm not running them.

Say whatever you gonna say. NOED is always an indicator that the killer bad/low skill cap. Always was.

I don't run noED on a regular basis but I will say that the times I do run it are when I know survivors are going to be complacent and have tunnel vision on gens. Or if I feel like being an ass and doing a complacency check on survivors to see where they're at.

90% of the time they fail the check. And never do bones. The 10% that do actually pass the check....make me feel all silly. Like I look around, the gens are done, I've killed maybe 2 by this point or 1 considering they aren't playing like complacent idiots if they've managed to do bones by this point. I look up....noED doesn't even trigger. I am then standing there baffled and bewildered as to how I've been outplayed and outdone by such wise methods and altruism. It really is an amazing thing to see.....and everytime I see 3 to 4 survivors leave the match after successfully getting past my jigsaw traps, dying light and thano stacks, and noED.....I take a moment of silence....to commemorate survivors.....

Who actually have a brain....it really is a beautiful sight to behold...truly.

I lost that match because the DC was being a baby and all the red ranks did was troll me. I saw a flashlight and a key being brought in so next time I decided to play as a dirty killer since the match making is trash. But yeah this game is so perfect and we'll balanced 🙄

You brought an eboni mori into that match. If you're trying to say killers are OP by bringing an eboni mori, and a pink add on into every match where all the other survivors aren't even using full perks, or items, or add ons, I don't think you understand what balance means....and the survivor with 1 perk still managed to punk you out of 13k which would have been 18k with the escape and no point modifiers...

  • I won't argue about the match making but ummm....

If killers are so easy....how did you lose against 3 survivors and a DC?

Noed has been a controversial perk for quite a while and I've been thinking of ways BHVR could change it to " balance " it.

Instead of being able to one shot ALL survivors, make it to where only survivors that have gone unhooked will have the exposed effect. Keeping the speed boost obviously or maybe even slightly increasing it for more versatility against survivors who have already been hooked.

This was just an idea I've had, so please tell me what you guys think.

Ruin gets nerfed>Survivors start gen rushing>Killers in mass bring NoED back into play>survivors whine NoED stronk <--- From point A to B do we see cause and effect?

  • Plagues a good one.

See my above comment. It only messes with baby survivors who are bad in a chase.

you didn't even know why it was viable until they explained it to you, stop playing pretendo.

Where did you get this data for this proof? For all i see is a mere statement, not really anything to back it up.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1209092#Comment_1209092

How the heck did they get that high and never learn to look behind them? Have they never face a ghostface, Myers or other kill that needs you to look around with your eyes or be caught off guard by them sneaking up on you?

    I don't ask questions....I just stab em....I mean ey....its free real estate.

  • @Reborn2020 said:

Would be nice to improve matchmaking to compete with equal skilled players .Either that or your game is too killer sided.

Dear developers. What needs to be done to prove that the game is killer sided? Like 100 games in a row with 3-4 kills on rank 1 would be enough to prove that the game is balanced fine ? And that it doesnt need to go through balance changes anymore? Not counting low tier killers though. They need to be balanced .

    @Peanits

Here in my garage....3-4 kills every game....drive a lambo, 100 games in a row, very successful.

But you know whats better than that?
