It’s a good pick but it does get hard countered by nurse’s calling. It’s amazing with a green medkit though
-
B maybe A at a push. Basically nurse designed in 2022
-
She’s just boring to me tbh. Her power is just hold W simulator and her design is just strange
-
it missing the midwich offering but still that’s as close to a free win as dbd has tbh

Yeah but unlike dbd which was fun as killer even when underpowered, there is nothing like that for monster in VHS, its just boring extremely so, not unbalanced.
That I agree with. Monster is a role I don’t think they can fix tbh. It’s boring whether you win or lose
-
I doubt VHS will cease development. It’s on,y major issue atm is the lack of monster players compared to teen which was an issue dbd has faced for quite awhile until now
-
We created a new meta guys! You now use OTR instead of DS and……………
-
I’m basically the farthest thing from a RE fan but I’m quite exited for this. BHVR are clearly putting a lot of effort into it which I respect
-
Sweaty pick: Cenobite
Fun pick: Clown
-
Yeah her face animations are really weird atm. Hope they fix it soon
-
Clown is by far the most fun to me. He’s simple yet also has a lot of depth but I don’t need to sweat hard to do well with him
-

See her kill rates drop even more? She already has the lowest kill rate of all killers.
Tbf with how many more nurses are playing and how much people give up against her now that’s bound to be higher. Not sure by how much though
-
Jane is my go to when I don’t know who to play

I cleansed 15 totems the other week in a single match.
Took me a little too long (and too much of my sanity) to realize they were cheating.
If only you had counterforce
-
Jeff and Jane fill that role pretty well imo.
-
Didn’t BHVR retweet some of his stuff? The guy is the real life Jeff
-
Yeah their reasoning made no sense
”We didn’t like that your chests could be stolen so now you’ll get the perk activated when 3 chests have been searched already”
-
Yes it does work. You only get the loud sound when they pick it up like any other item

That's still quite situational.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3109679#Comment_3109679
Nope, I got consistent value out of it almost every game I ran it. I stopped running it because I realized how weak it actually was
How is it? I’m consistently blocking gens on every hook due to interruption or through using possesed chains or chain hunt to block them. Even throw in surveillance if you want the info for essentially the old combo all over again

It has, on any Killer that wasn't Artist
PR DMS was one of my main combos on clown and pinhead. His box search forces people off gens either through solving it or the chains themselves
Possesed chains also can knock survivors off gens. Definitely not weak on him
-
Yeah it just needs a rework tbh. Has always been either too weak or too strong and obnoxious
-
This and bringing back DMS PR really makes me question the thought process here
-
@Crowman said:
The perk is basically useless outside of a situation where you have 1 stack, are healthy, and the killer is carrying a survivor to a hook. In which case you can take two hits for the survivor and likely get them to wiggle out. But you could also do that with no set up using Dead Hard or a Styptic Agent.
Exactly. It has no niche that other endurance effects can’t cover and despite this we’re still nerfing it
What happened to wanting to change the meta? To do that you have to add other decent options
-

I can see it being annoyingly good in end game. Take one hit at any point during the game...Body block in end game for your 2nd. Now you're able to take a 3rd.
Id much rather take OTR or DH for endurance throughout the match then put all my chips in on MoM. That’s a pretty niche use especially in Solo where getting to endgame is it’s own gamble.
Adrenaline and hope are also much better endgame options
-
@Garboface said:
r.i.p. bully simulator
I forgot to mention you can’t even stack endurance anymore so if you want to use MoM you have to take off OTR or dead hard to even use it effectively
Poor Ash can’t catch a break
-
The devs have already said they are not doing any sudden changes. They can also differentiate a DC from a kill so kill rates shouldn’t inflate too much
-
Both sides are slaves to the meta. It has always been this way and perk use rates confirms it

The Killer is the power role, if somebody spent 3k hours mastering literally every facet of a specific Killer they quite frankly deserve to be unbeatable
So surely god SWF squads are okay too then?
-
They can’t really fix MMR tbh. Either it works and queues are long or it doesn’t and queues are short.
But yeah if you are DCing consistently why even play the game? Seriously you’re wasting everyone’s time including your own
-
“If only there was a fast healing perk that could combine with my totem hunting perk, Nah self care is fine”

The balance of the killers? Ah ... well ... we can also ... I don't know, me ... rework the OTHER killers to make them a little more efficient? ... instead of wanting to nerf the nurse?
So buff 27 other killer up to the power of 1 broken one? Why not just nerf the 1 OP one and then balance around that level instead?
-
Have to disagree on his point about the meme add ons. Sure it makes nurse more difficult to play as but it doesn’t make her any better designed. She just does her usual badly designed gimmick worse basically

Yes sooner or later Oni will get their power, but until then they are a basic m1 killer and against competent teams, thats just not good enough imo.
And sure if you start Plague with 3 fountains she can do some work but we are discussing killers that dont have easy access to their power so assuming otherwise is pointless. And for sure there are some benefits to every one being injured but that alone is pretty weak since you know, legion is still a pretty weak killer.
They both have pretty good powers and vs solo q i agree that they are plenty strong, but they are designed with such flaws that imo they stand little chance vs competent teams. Good solo q stompers both but imo they lack what makes top killers strong.
No doubt they are weaker against SWF but that’s just the nature of snowball killers. I see no issue with making nurse one since her power is already stronger than plague and oni’s despite not need any prerequisites to use. It only makes sense that the strongest power needs to charge up in some way
-
Give them these penalties and they’ll just suicide or throw the match instead. Nothing to do about it really
-
Nah. Condemned should be a form of game delay instead of a automatic mori on the 1 person you tunnel. 70 seconds isn’t even a single gen worth of time
-

Compared to top tier killers? Yes there is a chasm between them. Any competent swf could dismantle an Oni any day by playing it super safe at the start and denying that first hit for as long as possible. And Plague when denied her power is a basic m1 killer.
Both of those killers will never be even close to nurse/blight/spirit. They are both imo, solo q stompers and thats about it.
They are plenty strong when compared to the average killer though!
sooner or later Oni will get a hit whether it be from unsafe pallets, bloodlust or changing chases using Moniter. Plague can start with up to 3 fountains and always has at least 1. Not to mention everyone being broken is a huge advantage for exploiting altruism and snowballing regardless of if you have red puke or not
Both are considered high A tier which is actually very balanced imo
-
Myers because it’s so unfitting for his character in the films yet also somehow fits him perfectly

"Reduce her post-blink lunge range."
And like that, in order to reach a survivor, she would have to perform a 100% accurate tp.
I think you really need to play the nurse a little bit to realize that the perspective of a survivor being chased by her is quite different from her perspective.
"Make her blink hits not count as basic hits"
So it amounts to completely preventing a nurse from using certain skills.
Because I can't see Sally floating around trying to hit a survivor in M1 while being outrun.
"The range add-ons should not affect blink speed, and they should increase the post-blink fatigue duration"
Perfect; this way, the nurse will be able to teleport further away, but in the end, it will be useless, since she will be looking at the ground for a longer period of time, which will allow the survivors, at each tp, to go and hide in a place out of her field of vision.
Guys, really, play nurse, please.
And turning the nurse into some kind of teleporting Oni is just ridiculous.
One of the reasons main nannies play this killer is JUST because she has a movement pattern that isn't the classic "I run, I break the pallet, I run, I go through the window, I run, I go around the wall, I run, etc."
It's that distinctive way of moving that makes many players love playing it, so making it an n-th killer that runs around ... no thanks.
HOWEVER, BHVR could totally, instead of slaughtering the nurse all over the place, create another killer that would be a "teleportation" type, but would be an "Oni-nurse", like what Otz advocates.
Yes, why not.
But leave the nurse alone for a while, it's getting ridiculous.
I agree that the acceleration of her tp below 20m due to the range addons is something to look into.
Why should we leave her alone when she’s been a thorn in the side of killer balance for 5 years?

Nah thats a good way to break her legs. All the strong killers have access to their power all the time. Dont need to make an exception here just because.
Are you implying that Oni and plague aren’t strong?
-
Yeah it actually feels like a slog now. I’ve lost basically all motivation to unlock perks on survivor since BP is so low
-
Shouldn’t be insanely hard. You can use a controller on pc so the opposite should be easy to implement
-
Object of obsession with shadowstep can be fun especially if the killer is running a lot of aura perks and add ons

True, I definitely think slinger benefited more from the nerf than any other killer. I think it’s overall still the strongest though.
I’d say sprint burst slightly edges it out on versatility but dead hard is definitely still 2nd place. Smash hit will always be my go to though
-
Dead hard is more killer dependant now. Against someone like huntress or nurse it’s amazing but against a slinger it’s awful
-
His teleport is much quicker in nightfall. It’s the main use of nightfall from my experience
-
I don’t think many have an issue with dying (at least I don’t). The issue is that the matches themselves just aren’t fun a lot of the time when killers are encouraged to tunnel and camp due to the changes
-

Agreed - Grind is disgusting for new players.
The change is beneficial to veterans.
Especially for survivor since most people choose 1 survivor to main and get all perks on. This system means 10 more levels (plus 20k tax) to get to the same point
-
The new progression system did basically nothing to improve the grind for me. With the removal of BBQ and WGLF bonuses it actually got worse
-
There’s basically no reason not to tunnel now. I basically always hit the unhooked survivor since either I just tunnel them or they have to mend. It’s a win win
-
Surely the AOT skins play the music when you have them equipped? I know the modern fairytale skins do that
