Yep. Admittedly, I’m mostly a killer main (the recent ques have pushed me to survivor) and the last time i had a hex build (i don’t sweat my survivor games) it took me forever to realize that the killer was using hex pentimento. I was losing my brain trying to figure out how I cleaned 7 totems. . .

I cleansed 15 totems the other week in a single match.
Took me a little too long (and too much of my sanity) to realize they were cheating.

It doesn’t happen very often specifically because survivors immediately know when a Pentimento is created. On top of which even if the survivors aren’t paying attention to the debuff icon on their screen, there’s a good possibility they can just randomly stumble on one of the Pentimento tokens and cleanse it just like they would any other Hex totem.
Fortunately for Pentimento you don’t actually need to get five of them for the perk to be useful. All you need is to have one or two lit and you’re already getting a lot of slowdown for however long the totems stay up. Getting five feels amazing obviously because it’s so rare and has such a neat final effect of locking all the totems down, but it’s really just a cherry on top of the sundae.
