Yeah a more cybernetic version would be way cooler. Always thought her mask should just be a cybernetic half face instead

For old Trickster at least, he had better uptime, better stealth, and a better M1 game than her. I also found him much less frustrating to try to use on indoor maps.
So I guess in a word: flexibility. Yeah, Huntress was a better ranged killer than him, but he could do other stuff as well that she mostly couldn't.
He had slightly better stealth but his M1 game was exactly the same basically.
I’d say they are both frustrating on indoor maps (Though trickster can have ricochet at least)

Devs if you’re against giving eruption current gen progress can we please revert pop even if it stays at 20%?

A lot of things.
I liked how you could bring in 70 knives for the price of a brown. That could pretty easily enable Trickster to go on multiple chases without having to reload. Especially if you managed to weave in an M1 or 2. That could let Trickster be much more relentless than Huntress could be.
The 70 knives and longer fall off timer also meant that you could usually prevent survivors from just holding shift W. But not in a borderline cheap way that old Deathslinger could by tapping ADS. Now though, you don't have near as many knives and there's a high chance that a long distance knife will just fall off even if you do hit.
While I did like that his power countered loops that couldn't be mind gamed and wasn't as good on ones that could... I didn't like how his changes doubled down on that.
Lastly, I am aware that it was a bit silly that M&A used to create a ring of silence between his lullaby and TR... but I didn't really see it as a problem. It isn't like a surprise Trickster can instantly inflict a hit with his knives. He still needs to throw 8 of them. In fact I really liked that since I quite enjoy stealth gameplay. But too many stealth killers don't have a backup plan for maps and teams where stealth doesn't work. Old Trickster with M&A scratched that itch for me.
Seriously... I was all the way here for old Trickster. So much so that I P3'd him under the old Prestige system. Then the changes happened and I basically haven't touched him since. I don't think he should be reverted, but I would be overjoyed if they changed Memento Blades to basically take you back to release Trickster.
Edit: Now that I've reread my former second to last paragraph about M&A, I think that’s part of why I actually am excited for Skull Merchant. Stealth killer with a backup plan is one way you could describe her current kit.
Old trickster was just an annoyance imo. In chase it was similar to doctor where he was guarded a down but it took a long time to get it. It felt bad for survivors since you basically knew there was nothing you could as dodging 1 of his 70 knives was useless
he was even more mindless at low wall loops where he could just spam knives since he only had to hit 16 out of 60 base
Longer decay time meant even if the survivor played well they would go down because their laceration bar would never decay if the trickster was somewhat decent
I just can’t see any positives about him over huntress especially his old version
-

Oh lord I hope not. I actually really liked release Trickster and hated the direction they took him.
What exactly did you like more about old trickster?
-
Yeah it’s been like that for awhile. Would love to see it come back
-
I’d say spirit is better now. Basically a mini lethal at early game and constant gen info
-
She’s always been unpopular. But COH and endurance perks counter her pretty hard
Most people just don’t find the territorial defensive playstyle she has
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Also it makes you feel like easier to hit everyone. I know it makes you feel faster but it feels like it also makes you better at aiming / skill shots, etc. XD
Idk maybe it is just me.
The larger FOV makes tracking survivors who are close to you much easier as they can’t run past your eyeballs anymore
-
Because killers can hit the survivors to stop them from body blocking
If the killer body blocks you in a corner they can genuinely keep you there until the server closes after 1 hour if you’re the only survivor left
-
Yeah it sucks when you meet killers like that who are probably off the back of their own experience with toxicity
If you’re not having fun it’s for the best that you uninstall
-
I always like to find builds that synergise with specific powers or add-ons. It’s boring to run the same 2 killers and builds
I’d also recommend you play each killer for awhile. I know I stuck to the same 2-3 which is why I became bored with killer
-
They seem to be doing it in waves while every new cosmetic takes 4 weeks to be available for shards
-
I’d rather just counter them by slugging and baiting saves which allows for easy snowballing

It is a killer issue. When ive asked people why they were toxic they said otz told them too 🤷🏽♀️ Which goes back to my point of fog whispers encouraging toxicity against survivors but not killers
Otz would be the last person on earth to promote toxicity. Those guys were just trolling and being mean

that should not be normal. Killer should just be expected to be losing from the start, but if killers are ahead on their objective, survivors give up.
It should be expected for both sides to get at least some of their objectives done every game. You have to remember that gens get harder to repair the less there are left

Probably just an (intentional) Easter egg, especially if Huntress Lullaby is in there as well. They're fun to find in games.
The huntress’ lullaby isn’t BHVR’s work. It’s an old Russian lullaby as far as I know (So it makes a lot of sense in atomic heart)

Her goals are beyond our understanding

5-7 hooks per game on average?
So 0-1k for every killer that does try to play in accordance with the general complaints about tunneling and camping?
obviously with MM it’s hard to get an average but most games involve 1 getting tunnelled out so 3 hooks and then getting 2-4 extra hooks until all gens are done
-
Losing 2-3 gens is pretty normal on first chase and should realistically happen every game just like the killer on average gets 5-7 hooks per game
Best you can do is play the 5 gens that you’re left with and focus on creating dead zones to lead survivors into especially if they predrop pallets
-
Clown is just boring to play against but super fun to play
Also pinhead is super frustrating especially in solo queue but I love playing him
-
Survivors have escape cakes which are 100% in all categories?
But yeah brown and yellow bp offerings are just a waste right now

Did something change recently? I’ve barely kept up because most of my attention has been on Valorant and football lately, but I keep hearing Spirit is back to her pre-nerf self without knowing much detail.
Basically when she is behind a wall all directional phase audio is gone and replaced with the old non directional one. So at a lot of loops she’s basically the old spirit again
-
Cosmetic showcases. I like seeing other people’s drip

But Sadako's condemned play wasn't developed when the PTB came out. What we got was a lot closer to the intended play, and the overall complaints that developed later already started to show up.
People were just way dumber with the tapes, as per usual with every new thing.
Which is why they were cautious when buffing her since she basically has tombstone base kit if it’s too strong. That’s very hard to balance especially in the 3 week ptb period
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Not a good excuse to keep a broken perk in the game that hurts every killer. Yeah, killers like Knight are super boring, I don’t disagree with you there, but they do have counterplay that doesn’t involve DH. It’s a busted perk and it needs to go.
Holding W is really the only counter to knight (and artist for that matter)
DH sucks but so do these killers who incentivise boring gameplay
-
@Pulsar said:
She has Myers-Syndrome.
She has one or two really good add-ons that give her a very strong playstyle that is extremely difficult to deal with. However, her base-kit is very lacking.
Seriously, a 100 second TP cooldown is pretty awful. Give her unlimited teleports to TV's but put a cooldown on that TV being able to apply Condemned.
I’d say infinite is too much but 30 seconds per TV would be fine
Codemned should stay at 100 maybe 80 if her add ons get reworked

Yeah, he got a buff that at least gave him something else to do, but this came after making him control like crap as a fix for another bug, so it's been largely neutral. Plus the other bug (haste from long paths doesn't stack with light greaves, so those're pretty meaningless).
Wesker just got a hitbox tweak, I wasn't around for anything related to Dredge, and Sadako... I don't actually think they changed anything. The last year hasn't exactly shown an inclination to make much change from the PTB versions.
It’s true that not much has changed on these PTB’s but to be honest not much really had to. Wesker was a simp,e fix and he’s great now, Dredge is pretty good and honestly fine and sadako is carried by her condemned strategy so her kill rate looks fine to them
-
@jamally093 Can I just ask do you struggle hearing other killer’s breathing noises?
For example trapper, hillbilly and Myers all have loud breathing around the same sound level as wraith
-

Flip side is that Knight got only a nerf to, like, one add-on.
His reception wasn’t as bad in terms of strength. P,is he was a more unique concept so BHVR probably wanted to play it safe
Afterwhich near his archive he was bufffed by a pretty decent amount
-
You can’t just hide the entire match realistically someone will have to take a chase
If the killer then tunnels them at 5 gens there is a further nothing you can do as a teammate to help them
if said survivor dies at even 3 gens you’ve lost because winning a 3v1 is near impossible
-
Tunnelling is favoured simply because it’s the easiest way to win
I don’t do it personally because I don’t care about winning. Give me some fun chases and decent hook count and I’m fine
-
This seems to be an issue with a lot of games tbh. Test servers happen very close to launch where they can’t really put the feedback into the live game
But they have used it well before. For example Ghostface was absolute dumpster tier on ptb but got buffed pretty significantly
I also have a feeling merchant will be getting buffs since her reception has been unanimously that she’s too weak

Bruh...
You're just straight up lying at this point.
First of all we are talking from the survivors point of view so how long you main wraith doesn't matter
And second he does makes sounds when you play him even.
Don't listen to this guy op, there is a gurgle sound but you only hear it when the wraith is really close to you, most of the time if they know you are there they will uncloak before getting within the distance for you to hear it.
If you want to know what it sounds like just play a match of wraith against bots and don't move while being cloaked. It plays the exact same sound
Every killer actually has breathing sounds they make that survivors can hear. Pig and Freddy have very quiet ones however which are basically silent. It would be weird if he a was an exception (Especially considering his breathing is just an edited version of Billy’s)
It’s more noticeable with killers like Myers or trapper which are very easy to hear from my experience
-
Go to the killer menu and select wraith. It sounds the same in the lobby as it does in game
-
Once COH is killed we can say goodbye to boons for good. Not that that’s a bad thing but it will be funny to see how rare a boon user will become
-
Pop is still decent from my experience but your point is valid. The meta shake up was basically nerfing meta perks regardless of if they needed them while not fixing the core issues of why the meta existed
Regression and second chance perks will always be the meta just due to how the game is designed

Yes, because when a P100 switches to a new character then I can still tell... Oh wait, I can't... Your prestige level doesn't matter and is never a reason I'd decline a lobby.
Agreed but that doesn’t stop people from leaving due to prestige level. I don’t personally but I’ve seen it in basically every lobby with a P80-100 person

Everyone gets their least favourite things! Really good windows and basements and an area which dumps like three gens in one screen.
Yep BHVR hitting the bad map bingo card once again. I’m convinced they’ve marked off the whole sheet with the most recent 3 maps tbh

I would dodge any lobby that isn't giving us both a "fair" and "balanced" match. Unfortunately this would leave you basically dodging almost every single lobby.
So you're forced to allow the survivors to have "some" unfair and unbalanced advantages, IE some medkits/toolboxes.
However 3+ medkits/toolboxes is a dodge. The game already isn't balanced enough and that's just pushing it to ridiculous levels. Not to mention since the increase in bloodpoints that almost every other match has a syringe/styptic/BNP on one of those few you allow.
I expect nothing less than the same thing when I'm queuing as survivor. Survivors with 3+ medkits/toolboxes in a lobby are not coming for a fair or fun for everyone match, they're coming to dominate with an unbalanced advantage.
Then there's also probably a dodge if it looks like a 3+ swf for the literal exact same reasons as above.
Now aside from all that, if there are multiple private profiles or brand new profiles that might also be a dodge as the cheating epidemic is prevalent enough that I'd like to lower the chances of that being a possibility and those 2 things are generally sketch at my mmr.
I simply want fair and balanced matches with DBD and if the devs won't do it on their end with balancing then it forces killers to manage it themselves with what tools they have available.
As to your question, no, there should not be a penalty for dodging. It's required until the devs decide they want to balance their game properly. You can't force people to play an unfun match, it's the same reason they won't punish survivors for suiciding on hook.
If they want to fix killers dodging lobbies then they need to fix the reason why they dodge in the first place.
Wouldn’t the same apply to survivors? If a lot of survivors are suiciding against Blight because of his add-ons does that warrant him getting nerfed?
-
I don’t mind it too much but prestige levels should probably be hidden at least for killers. All it does is encourage dodging because “obviously if they are P100 they have to be gods at the game”
-
Feng and Nea are the main two I see at 100
I’m going for P100 Haddie though I’m only at 21 since I haven’t been playing much recently. Actually met one recently which surprised me

True I always hated IW and how it affected her so negatively. Though OTR still has some good use against her

Yep that’s the risk of scourge hooks. To be fair all of them are strong enough to where this isn’t much of an issue

@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, this is the standard Gen Spread on reworked RPD. The Bug simply moved the upstairs Generator into the middle of the Main Hall. And RPD is a really bad gameplay experience, you basically have to play in the Main Hall the whole time until at least one Generator is done. If the Killer manages to defend the two Main Hall Gens and the one Gen (at least) which spawns nearby, they win. If not, they most likely lose.
Same applies to Haddonfield or Eyrie of Crows. Really dumb.
The fact that haddonfield main house consistently spawns 2 gens is stupid. Old haddonfield was dumb but at least gen spawned correctly
-
Wraith is one of the simplest killers to counter. All you need to do is listen out for the burning sound of uncloaking and his breathing while and always stay healed so he can’t get a surprise down
Chasing as wraith should never result in a early down as his chase power is weak. If you can’t loop him you probably can’t loop any killer which is something you need to improve on

I personally think that its one of the biggest, fundamental problems with DBD: that the survivors always got SO much more info about the killers power then the killers themselves. With Spirit, you were often in the blind where the survivors were heading, while they had sorta perfect info about what you were doing. She was doable, but it was always an uphill battle. Same with the likes of Wesker of Plague or Sadako: the guy controlling the Oroborus worms or the Misstress and Highpriestess of a deadly plague only get binary info about their own realm of influence (that survivor is infected/fully infected), while survivors get the full, gradual info. And with Sadako its even worth: she is cursing everyone, but she only know who is kinda cursed, until they get finally fully condemned, and even then she has to guess which TV station they might be headed to, while the survivor see the status of the course of everyone in realtime.
I know that all this is done for "balancing" and probably also anti tunneling, but its also immersion breaking and often frustrating, that you know the other side has perfect info on YOUR power, while you have to second guess everything.
Old Spirit was way more fun to play, because you could get the jump on survivors, while she after the rework felt really underwhelming and sad. So yes, people are jumping on the opportunity to have some fun with her again, before she gets inevitable neutered again. Can you blame them?
The problem was that spirit ended up getting way more info than the survivors. With the nerf she still had the advantage due to moving at minimum 176% move speed making loops very playable
The old coin toss spirit without counterplay was frustrating for survivors and very 1 note for killers since it was simple to play
-
You could also make a case for artist and candyman thought that’s also a stretch
plus obviously trapper is a Jason clone
-

So can most Killers.
Knight's almost the only one who can FORCE lock a three-gen. His Guards kick you off of gens and do 5%
That’s true but luckily the guards don’t activate gen kick perks but them blocking the gen for up to 6 seconds is too much. It should be base regression and always 2 seconds imo
Also doctor actually used to be able to lock a 3 gen with a sniper build but thankfully that was removed
