I just want to point out in general for those who dont know, DBD has a secret stamina mechanic. Lower your stamina, the louder your breathing and grunts of pain. If you want max chance to not be heard, dont run if the killer is nearby, crouching will also slightly reduce the volume.
It’s not a stamina mechanic it’s a static system. If you are not crouching you make max noise and if you are it’s about 50% less
When running survivors have a seperate breathing sound which is much louder but this happens the instant you start running

Only 1 guy? Poor dudes gonna have to rebalance half the roster on his own without making them OP or unfun which is something the entire balance team can’t figure out

Because heaven forbid any Killer have one really strong combo or playstyle.
More likely, though, they can only bugfix Demo.
The devs have confirmed that they can change demo
They probably think he’s fine though and have little reason to actually change him
-
The fact that slinger was nerfed because he had little counterplay in chase and knight is the way that he is confuses me
You literally can’t loop knight. At least with slinger he was slower and had to hit the shot in the first place (Which wouldn’t even guarantee a hit)
-
It’s 11/10 on fun factor though so I’m still bringing it every game
-
I’m still waiting for Jane’s pink hair to come back but considering none of them have been released in the store I doubt they’ll ever be
-
They should break faster on the environment while chains from a hunt would break instantly. His possessed chain does need a buff
-
Can’t wait for the scene when Dwight DCs after he find out it’s a nurse
-
Tbf it is one of the most used killer perks which already does put it on the list for nerfs
Look at DS which was only nerfed because of its pickrate
-
I would be cautious since P100 is a huge grind for anyone to do
I’m fine with how it is since it’s just a bragging right basically
-
15 seconds aura reading on everyone allows plague to snowball super well if she has her corrupt purge active. Plus it might deter them from cleansing your pentimento totems
-
MMR is basically non existent so this is irrelevant
Anyway most devs are too busy working to consistently play the game since game development is a full time job and not an easy one

SBMM should adjust to my skill. I shouldn't have to adjust my skill to my SBMM rating.
Sbmm will gradually expand based on queue times. Survivor queues were probably long so these high MMR survivors were probably put into your lobby as the skill range expanded
It’s not fun but we can’t have 10+ minute queues like before as that will kill the game
-
Nothing beats the Ghostface and trickster PTB’s for me. Ghostface basically had no power and trickster was super weak and boring while having a super similar power to huntress

I didn't know you could see the boxes aura with this. Very cool. Are there any other perks that reveal the boxes aura?
You don’t actually see the box aura but you can determine where it is by your spawn and the survivor spawns
-
Bond is my comfort perk that I haven’t taken off in almost 2 years. Constant info about what pallets are used and what teammates are doing
-
Nah. It would make playing killer feel much weaker and less fun since you’re not the unstoppable slasher and you’re being beaten up by the survivors.
This happened in F13th until they had to add a band aid fix in the rage mode. VHS has this bu5 the whole game was designed from the groun up with it in mind (An seven then it has issues)
A secondary objective should be something that involves traversing the map or interacting with the killer but not in an offensive way
-
Self care has no downside though since it’s something you can’t do normally
Perks like botany and Calm spirit come with more give and take. It should only be used if the positive effec5 is strong enough to warrant it (Which is why Calm spirit is never used)
-
Yeah if we’re going by that logic then Artist was meant to be candyman and legion was meant to be Ghostie
It’s just BHVR’s take on a style of horror character so of course there will be overlap
-
I gave in about a year ago and just switched to steam. Lost all my Xbox stuff but I’m basically at the same point now (Still missing pink hair Jane though)
-
Always run lethal on Pinhead to find box easily
-
I’ve met some cool people but haven’t really made any friends who I’ve played with more than once
I was recognised as a forum member in game recently but the person was on anonymous mode so I don’t know who it was. Cool none the less
-
Plague I like to run retribution, pentimento and plaything with pain resonance, Probably not the most meta but still very strong
-
Teamwork perks are just bad with a mediocre effects that are hard to apply consistently
Blood rush is pretty strong but doesn’t work with DH afaik so that’s cool
Background players is just terrible and does nothing that SB can’t do better
Gen perk is too weak but it has to be since it affects gen time
-
I’d add makthinker’s skull and Haddie’s calendar partially to dredge’s base kit to make him feel more fluid
I’d make compound 33 no longer apply hindered to survivors, It’s strong enough with just the faster break
Blight’s token recharge 3 seconds instead of 2 (Makes a full recharge 15 seconds which is on par with spirit) to punish him more for misplays
Deathslinger gets his 24m TR back in exchange for a lullaby (Could be whistling or faint bell chime) which would be 30m like trickster
-
Twins are actually getting a rework sometime this year (Though the devs are radio silent on what it is which worries me)
You forgot to mention trapper and hag who are both basic abandoned (Hag has literally got literally 2 changes over 6 years)
But it happens because of the 3 month killer cycle so they just don’t have enough time to go back and balance older killers properly

I've put 3K hours into TF2 and probably a similar amount into CoD. 2K into Overwatch and Siege.
I've never been called the amount of slurs I have in DBD.
I've never had a streamer witch hunt me in any other game.
I've never had people DDoS me repeatedly outside of DBD.
I've never had people put me on a list and make a group specifically made to boot me off outside of DBD.
I've never met people who are so genuinely toxic ALL THE TIME outside of DBD.
It's not all bad. For all the bad, there are some real gems in the community and I'm lucky to have met them.
The only 2 exceptions I’ve seen is For Honor and the MVM community in TF2. Those 2 are genuinely worse from my experience
For honor players will hate you regardless of what hero you play, Hate you for doing 2v1s in a 4v4 mode and will use the emblem system for very hurtful images
The MVM community is mainly toxic due to its small size and how unwelcoming they are to new players. If you don’t play the exact meta strategies be prepared to get kicked but at the same time they literally had a black list created for players who used an overpowered weapon in a co-op gamemode (The gas passer)
-
I wish some people could play 2018 killer and reconsider their opinions
-
The only killer challenge I had issues with was the orange glyph one
Fkr survivor I’ve had meltdowns trying to do blood debt, Green glyph, last minute hero and Co-op heals. Survivor challenges are way harder imo
-
Fair enough. It’s easy to burn out on games like this and it’s important to take a break too. I’m just back recently after about 3 months and I’m enjoying the game a ton
-
I will be buying and playing her. She seems fun and I want to see what perks can make an effective playstyle for her that doesn’t involve 3 gens
-

Nah, I'll just go play a co-op game or something.
If people want to repay playing fair with gloating, they can enjoy one less person in the queue.
Fair enough. My point is that this kind of behavior isn't easy to police and it's best if you yourself become resistant to it as you'll encounter it everywhere even in the real world.
But it's always good to have a backup game when you get tilted. That's what fallout 4 is for me
-
Just make it so you bleed out faster when you keep recovering after you hit 95% and change the button prompt to “give up” or something instead of recover
-
Whether it should be removed or not is pretty irrelevant since it’s a bug and the devs went on record to say they’ll fix it afaik
-
I guess you could try F13th or VHS but good luck finding consistent matches in either
-
Plague
Her add-on are all useful and she even has a pretty viable meme strategy. Her power is strong but doesn’t feel oppressive and has a skill ceiling to aiming her vomit. Survivors have ample counterplay and multiple strategies to consider against her
She’s pretty much perfect tbh
-
Honestly I’m well past caring about Tbagging and anyone who consistently plays online games should probably try to get over it to
Their doing it solely to piss you off so that’s all the more reason to ignore that and punish them for doing so

I'm already as good as killer at I want to be. If I wanted harder matches at this point I'd have to start running meta perks and hardcore slugging and tunneling. Not interested. I don't care about getting better and pooting out ghosts makes me chuckle. Chasing two survivors at once is something no other killer can do and making it happen is a lot of fun.
That’s totally fair and it’s why I appreciate DBD making killers with varying skill ceilings
I personally hate him but more power to you if you can have fun using him
-

I like his aesthetic.
Wish the pallet bug would be fixed, and the control jank, and that the addons weren't a whole lot of nope, though.
He definitely looks cool but I just can’t get into his power personally. Every game just feels the same and the occasional guard AI bug doesn’t help his fun factor
-
Fair enough if you enjoy him. I just think he’s painfully boring and lacks any real skill ceiling to improve with
But I understand some people don’t care about improving and just want to have fun which is completely fair and knight is a great low skill anti loop killer for that
-
@Vagab0ndCat said:
I will never understand why would anyone do this, playing nice I mean.
I just find it more fun personally. I get to chase multiple different survivors and make sure everyone gets a decent amount of BP by the end of the match
Even if I get only 1 or 2 kills I still feel like I accomplished something by getting a good amount of hooks and fun chases
-
Yeah they pretty much ruined chapel which was one of the most balanced while keeping mother’s dwelling the same size
The dev’s map design genuinely baffles me at times
-
Nope because either way I feel better after a nice match
I just genuinely don’t enjoy tunnelling even if the person was mean unless I have an archive I need to get done
-
Like all chapters I will. I enjoyed merchant on PTB and survivors seem cool
-
Killer would be trickster. He adds nothing unique and his design isn’t appealing to me
For survivor mikaela because she’s their cash cow and I don’t like her witch aesthetic
-
Anti loop killers are okay so long as they have reasonable counterplay or take a lot of skill to use
Knight is neither and it’s why he’s one of DBD’s worst killer designs. He literally ends all looping with no skill expression on either side
-
Boil over because there is no way to ever make it a fun or balanced perk
Deadlock because it’s free slowdown with no risk or prerequisite
-
We shouldn’t encourage even more gen kicking as the gen kick meta has been one of the most frustrating in DBD’s history
-

Her lore is laughable yet legion, trickster, and deathslinger exist
Slinger’s lore is some of the best in DBD and perfectly captured the time period and discrimination Caleb would’ve actually experienced being an Irish immigrant in America
It’s nowhere near the level of trash as the others you mentioned
-
Distortion is still heavily underrated especially with how many aura perks are floating around. Lethal, Nowhere to hide, Floods of rage, BBQ, I’m all ears and the list of aura add-ons are all countered completely
