Nothing really interesting to discuss especially considering this chapter at its best is just boring

Being caught out in the open by Trickster? Not fun, very map dependent. Otherwise, he's just annoying and the game is over quickly.
Being stuck in a hour long game versus Knight because he simply will not leave his 3-gen? The true meaning of torture.
Although, Trickster is just a poor man's DIO
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/A43TR0L23OZP/dio-dio-brando.gif
To be fair the 3 gen issue is just as much the fault of perks like CoB and overcharge as it is knights power. The gen kick meta is a problem in general not to knight specifically
For where knight can camp a 3 gen trickster can easily camp a hook
-
This could make sense. His medieval costume was probably intended for the store but they changed it around to make more money on his release

Maybe the horrible sound occlusion will be fixed for everyone, rather than just trying to sort out Spirit's case specifically.
Agreed though that’s a pipe dream considering it’s been bugged for like 5 years

Maybe it will be listed as "known issue" after new chapter drops and they leave it at that for another month. Its funny how many spirits are playing now since shes bugged, same as how many killers started using Sloppy when it got bugged. What a coincidence
Yep any time a bug is found either side will desperately try to abuse it while it is available
Remember the breakdown bug? Or even buffed boil over with RPD? Pig’s bodyblocking with boxes and oni’s blood orb bug all abused until they were fixed
It’s kinda sad honestly
-
@ShinobuSK said:
Next bug patch is...2 weeks away? Ouch
That’s assuming they even fix it in that patch. Audio issues have been rampant since the game launched tbh

Gen speeds imo will solve tunnelling because gens fly so fast now getting it down to 3v1 ASAP is the only way
But if gens go slower then it is easier to tunnel 1 out and still win?

Legion.
Skull Merchant.
Knight.
Trickster.
Twins.
That's my list.
Can’t really see how knight is worse than trickster. Don’t get me wrong they are both pretty bad additions but at least knight looks cool and brought a somewhat unique power
Trickster is just baby’s first huntress
-
Not surprising really. It’s funny how all spirit mains basically dropped her after the nerf and are only willing to play her again when the coin toss is brought back
-
If it’s easily available then I think it’s okay to still call them good. Knight has call to arms and map as well as dried horse meat

Boon Perks are ok. But 90%, people use only COH thats the problems
As I said in the post shadowstep is decent but dark theory and exponential just suck especially considering the set up required. COH is the only boon that has viable use each game so it’s the only one used each game

I’m not against any BHVR attempts to incorporate and use the totems, because for a very very long time, I thought they were a very ignored secondary objective.
I feel like Boons just need the smallest tweak to make it feel comfortable. The most glaring and annoying thing about them is the cost doesn’t match the reward and the solution for the Killer is very lackluster since survivors can freely relight a boon.
If the cost was higher on survivor side, it would be less annoying OR if the cost continued to favor the survivors but the Killers had a HARD STOP option, then it would also be more acceptable.
To me, the heart of the issue isn’t the Boons Powers or the inclusion of the Boon Power, but what very little a Killer can do to control a Boon strat or combat against a Boon strat. If the survivors want a Boon up, they will get it and they will continue to get it all game. What’s the Killer going to do? Camp the totem you keep Booning? Then what? Just go to one of the 4 other totems lol.
They gave Killers a band-aide fix in the shape of a perk called Shattered Hope (think that’s name) and left it at that. Very disappointing. Again, I’m a big avid fan of totem builds for both sides, I love totems, but this Boon thing really needs a touch up of some kind.
Personally, If something as small as totems cracking after every boon and then getting destroyed after the 2nd or 3rd snuff, it would be much more satisfying. Shattered Hope would just be the hard counter but you could also just muscle through a few boon set ups to counter it too.
I can see a change like that working though I would like to see dark theory and exponential improved in some way while COH gets toned down
-
I’ll take a Halloween kills look but Halloween ends was a mess and Myers himself was in it for like 15 minutes
-
Any indoor map. Hate them on both sides with a passion since they limited some powers while greatly buffing others

Who are "The Twins"? Never heard of them. Nor was there a chapter titled "Binding of Kin". I think you're mixing up the game with another, maybe?
I need to go lie down now, my head hurts. I think some repressed memories from past trauma are trying to resurface.
Go back to your bush where it’s safe and twins can’t hurt you quick!
-
Trickster for me. If you’re at a low wall loop you die with no real counterplay or skill on tricksters end and if you’re at a high wall loop he’ll just hit 1-2 guaranteed knives per rotation until either you get injured or you drop the pallet
He’s just huntress but more annoying with nothing interesting to set him apart. Also despite being the music based killer his chase music is by far the most annoying

We don't know how this or the new maps will work on Consoles.
Red Forest worries me greatly.
That’s a fair worry to have and sadly since we don’t have a ptb there we’ll have to wait and see
-
Fair enough if you don’t want to buy it but it’s not a scam when you still get 1 killer, 2 survivors and 9 perks. I mean Freddy was rushed out the door alongside Quentin with 6 trash perks and that was still sold well
Or if you want an original chapter Binding of Kin basically broke DBD on launch and twins are still unplayable on lower end PC’s and consoles so if anything they’re worse
-
I’m begging for this to be true
-
Under the tutorial page I would have videos from BHVR and certain fog whisperers about various aspects of the game. Watching these would give you up to 1 million BP (enough to get 1 character P1)
-
Sadako is either weak normally or pretty strong using a boring and slow playstyle
Dredge’s anti loop feels underwhelming and his nightfall is is nice but hard to get consistent value out of

No Hooked on You Trapper skin, no purchase.
Him and wraith better get theirs soon. I want wraith’s Hawaiian shirt
-
The hair doesn’t really look great tbh. It did with the 2d art of Hooked on you but here it looks to static and rigid
But it’s a decent skin overall
-
Hooks are now irrelevant for end game performance. 4k is now a merciless and 3k is ruthless
-
Because funny fat man laughs when I hit survivors
-
This wouldn’t do much tbh. Most account are new solely made to cheat in whatever game they want (In this case dbd)
-
So assuming this chapter is around 12 quid if nobody bought it at all they wouldn’t be in too bad a position. Skin sales make up the majority anyway and those will still sell regardless of a bad chapter
-
Saving my money for the 2 new Haddie skins. Might get the survivors with shards though
-
I’m not mad about her being a women. Plague and huntress are some of the coolest killers in the game
For our first technologically advanced killer she’s a let down. They should have went with a more terminator or even predator styled design but instead she just looks like a cosplayer (which she basically is in her lore tbh)

"you still have a good amount of alternatives to Eruption"
Like what ? No, seriously, i'm sure you have more knowledge than me and i don't know those alternatives, can you name me a few ?
"looking how you can improve as killer"
Again, you're for sure more skilled than me, please tell me how i can improve my Mayers/Freddy/Twin/Trapper gameplay, maybe on Decimated Borgo map without using any gen regression perks
"a full potential survivors can stomp most killers to the ground."
I'm sorry i'm confused now, haven't you just said killers are fine and it's just a matter of skill and now "most killers" are going to be stomped against good survivors. So..are killers fine or "most killers sucks" ?
"Balancing wise killer is in a good place."
True, trapper is so in a good place rig..oh wait you meant Blight/Wesker/Spirit are in a good place..is that you meant right ? And for balance you mean exactly what ? They are strong against low level or new players and have no chance against a comp team or even a medium skilled team on almost every map ? Well yes if you mean that yes, killers are balanced.
For alternatives you have Pop goes the weasel, deadlock, corrupt intervention, pain resonance, Jolt, Call of brine, overcharge and No way out if you want to focus on endgame
Plenty of choice
-
That’s 1 perk released on a solo original survivor so they basically had to make a strong option so people would buy her
Compare that to the countless weak forgotten options such as corrective action, self preservation, dark theory, parental guidance, low profile and power struggle just to name a few
-
@ButterFlee13 said:
The way they approach to killer is very different then survivors.
Killer: Release in the weakest form and wait later to buff it. See wesker and knight. Why? They afraid of community outrage from survivors
Killer Perk: Nerf and wait months later to see what data about.
Survivor: Buff it now, and fix later
Tbf survivor perks usually launch in a weak state too. For reference see all 3 of Haddie’s perks
-
The people who are crying over this nerf are the same people who can’t do well without eruption simple as
And before you bring the “But what about dead hard?” Yes that perk is equally a crutch but you do understand it’s possible to discuss different perks by themselves
-
Old grass really needs to come back. Not only did it look nicer imo but it help trapper actually use his power and survivor could still play around it.
New grass looks kinda ugly and not fitting with a literal forest or shelter woods
-
I’ve honestly stopped running gen perks (except grim embrace) and have been having a fun time. Feels like all pressure of doing well is gone and I can just play for fun/archive challenges
-
Distortion is probably one of the more balanced survivor perks. It gives a strong effect that can be regained but doesn’t feel oppressive to the killer
Nerf distortion and we’ll just see more of the same survivor perks which is not good for the meta
-
Finally my birb charm trio is complete

i agree with you. I have an idea. Maybe Knight would be cooler if all his 3 guards are randomly patrolling the map like zombies. and his power would be to call the currently selected guard towards himself.
That wouldn’t really work either tbh. Passive AI isn’t skill based and ends up being wildly inconsistent in game. Sometimes a guard would just camp a hook and win you the match and other times they’d get stuck on a tree the whole game
-
The wall being added is debatable (Shack is fine when it’s placed far from other tiles) but yeah it should be solid throughout. Afaik yamaoka’s shack has no holes and it works well

I get that it's meant to punish the Killer for trying to reach a distant hook, but mostly it just works out to "anyone who gets away does so because RNG and timing forced you to hump a rock or a doorway for three seconds". And then you go down them again and it's just stupid.
'Can't be hooked because reached a high spot away from a hook in time' is just bad design from the other end, too. "Unhookable because you can hold W" is not an expression of any sort of skill or cleverness, and it means the perk does nothing but encourage slugging. Which is supposed to be bad.
Yep the perk is actively designed to be bad for both sides in an unfun way while unfairly harming console killers as well.
It can’t even be buffed either because the base design is so dumb. We seen this when it first got its buff and people were holding lobbies hostage at the RPD library. It needs a complete rework to be even close to a well designed perk
-
But if they do this at a gate either way they’ll get out since the forward momentum from being downed will get them out regardless?

Silent repairs are not risky. I would NOT approve of that.
It would still be risky assuming the killer is close by and hearing the pistons get faster. A perk with niche application needs a strong effect to be worth using as the silent repairs would often be useless if the killer is off chasing someone else
-
Poised should encourage risky repairs. I’d make it so that you repair gens silently when the gen reaches 70% and you get a 14% haste boost for 10 seconds if you completed the gen

Then add something to it, I said add feedback, not you saying the same thing.Let me rephrase. While I do agree that it isn't the best solution, it is the very reason as to why I added at the end that feedback would be nice. Either give some feedback or please, take your words somewhere else because they're gonna fall on deaf ears if you're not going to give an idea as to how that could be improved.
Well if we’re going by the idea that guards should be more independent from the knight I propose that they get more freedom. When on a patrol within 12m of a gen without a survivor in LOS they will go and kick the gen themselves
As well as that the knight now gets to cycle his guards manually by pressing the secondary action button like clown. This would give him more freedom to use whatever guard is necessary
And lastly (though this might be too much) the knight can press the secondary action button while looking at a gen or pallet to automatically summon a guard to destroy it without planting his sword. Animation would be a similar length to a blight/demo pallet break but he is allowed to move at a slow speed during the animation

Eyrie (even though the hook spawns kind of help, the doors suck), Ormond, Macmillan gambling for Ironworks occasionally... mostly Eyrie and Ormond for that specific thing, though.
And more than enough people bringing the perk seemingly only for the purpose of being INCREDIBLY ANNOYING.
Tbh that’s the only use the perk has. It’s probably the worst designed perk in the game since it literally requires you to go down and have good map rng to even be useful
-
We got some valentines recolours in the rift but that’s all
-
Can’t see this being a particularly fun killer to play. Basically you rely on AI for your whole power while you chase a survivor without a power
Knight isn’t in a good spot now but this isn’t how you fix him
-
Incentive is always survivor in the morning and killer at night for me. Been this way since it was introduced and no changes or balance has changed this
-
Completely map dependent. On maps like borgo or gideon it wouldn’t work but on something like Macmillan it can
-
4 of each bottle on clown is a bit too much imo. A good compromise would be 4 tonics and 1 antidote but the antidote works of a passive recharge every 10 seconds while his tonic’s reload like normal
