  • Yes, but also I'm SO EXCITED for Ghostface's whole new outfit!! My man's finally getting something new <3

Same for Zarina and Felix's masks! Yay :)

It almost feels like old self care but not at the same time....you dedicate two perks to it but at the same time I play solo and my team is almost always unreliable 😅

Don't come for me, but in SoloQ I only run Self-Care (with Resi, PTS, and Leader or switch Leader for Distortion), and it has come in handy SO many times! But I only use SC in dire situations where a teammate can't heal me etc.

This is often my point, you see post after post that just imagines the worst of any game interaction.

It typically reads as very assumptive, un-objective and often emotional rather than rational.

Rather than just playing out games and moving on people seem hell bent on attacking the character of anyone whom might do anything in game that they don't like.

Don't they say 'if you don't have enough "evidence" to back up your arguments go after the man instead'? I think that's what most do when they make baseless assumptions. Seems very exhausting to me.

@ OP I hope your every other game is fun and you get to enjoy your leisure time!

Filling half the perk slots available to you with mediocre perks just to counter one busted one is a very very bad ask. No killer except legion and plague can use blood echo anyway.

Oh I meant mindbreaker or Blood Echo, not both of them simultaneously. But I'm quite curious as to which killers you're playing as. Because I don't have that issue with Nemi, GF, Spirit, or heck even Wraith. Which killer do you main?

  • Gotta love how half of the replies are just people assuming hypothetical and 100% made-up scenarios, and seeing everything just from their perspective.

As if you could've opened the door after stunning the killer for 3 seconds lmao. Give me a break. They could have carried you/hooked you, or gotten stunned and then downed you anyways. But they chose to sweat REALLY HARD for that 4K. Some people's mindset is just sad, and that's sadly the majority of this "community".

Cause they certainly havent gotten any of them in the past did they? they nearly got 2 in this patch alone, both being OP, at least they nerfed one of them, the other still needs a hit

Pff please, we all know with all this whining on day ONE, they're both going to get nerfed into the ground, and then it's people like you going back to whining about Adrenaline, WoO and Hope.

And then wonder why the same 5 perks become meta over and over again.

  • Put on Mindbreaker/Blood Echo. Problem solved.

Adrenaline really isn't that high-risk. Popping all the gens is something one can expect to happen in over 50% of all matches, and the payoff doesn't really match the risk. A game where Adrenaline doesn't come into play is a game that you likely weren't going to win anyway, which is why it's the #2 Survivor perk.

Putting Unbreakable on your build, by contrast, is a high risk; the Killer might not slug at all in some matches, and even if they do, the odds aren't great that they're going to slug you specifically, AND that using your Unbreakable will be the optimal play when that happens.

That wouldn't bother me all that much, but the bigger issue with Adrenaline is that it punishes spreading pressure, and rewards tunneling. If you spread hooks, if you play hit-and-run, if you adopt any sort of playstyle that isn't tunneling people out of the game as fast as possible, you are putting yourself in a position to be absolutely demolished by Adrenaline's auto-healing.

What has anything I said have to do with Unbreakable? Yes, there are many high-risk/high-reward perks. The discussion here is about Adrenaline. The risk is you might not use it at all and waste a perk slot, or die before all gens pop, or you use it.

Also, I'll never understand the logic behind hit-and-run, unless the survivor is looping you for too long you should stick to the chase down/hook them. Adrenaline is the opposite excuse of tunneling, Why would you tunnel someone off hook instead of the unhooker? At that point the unhooked survivor has already used adrenaline and is fine + has a speed boost, their unhooker doesn't.

  • You know the game is doing fine when people whine about Adrenaline and WoO. Just because you find them annoying doesn't mean they need changing, perhaps your mindset does.

WoO doesn't show anything that isn't already there on the map, it's a great perk for beginners to learn the maps and tiles. EDIT: Zanshin Tactics does the very same for a killer, you could put that on. Otzdarva had a video of a Clown killer using that perk very efficiently and getting quite the results.

Adrenaline is a high-risk, high-reward perk and only activates at the very end of the game IF the survivor lives that long. They're fine as they are. It sounds a bit like you're a newer player to the game, you could go for end-game builds if you counter those perks that often; use NOED, Blood Warden, Blood Echo/Fearmonger against exhaustion perks, or even Wesker's Terminus.

  • Not really. Depends on the teammates themselves and whether they give up on their 1st hook or just DC at the sight of the map or the sound of Nurse's screech. It's been 50/50 for me in SoloQ, usually, it's either a 3/4 man escape or the killer hard tunnels at 5 gens or face-camps, and then it's 1/2 out, or none if it snowballs.

I've actually taken off exhaustion perks, and I've never been able to loop/mind-game killers more lol. Except for SM, they don't have any brains to be mind-gamed. They just camp their precious 3-gen for 6 billion hours like the Gollums they are.

  • Yep. I feel like they've found a way into hacking the game again, but I'm sure BHVR is already working on it from behind the scenes.

  • Can't you run diagnostics? Maybe it's your CPU or GPU overheating.

I was gonna say I swear I remember using them together when blast mine came out

You were able to put on blast mine first and after the killer kicked it also put on repressed alliance. Same with Flasg Bang.

  • Probably because of controller gamers, but they should at the very least add more options. But we all know by now that BHVR is allergic to adding in-game options overall. God forbid you get to assign the keys to every different interaction yourself.

  • They wanted to shake up the meta, from people using the same 10 perks or so every single game. I have zero issues with Pop being buffed, what I do have an issue with is how changes like this translate with Skull Boring and Knight players. Killers that can still easily hold 3-gens. And I don't think the issue of holding 3-gens, camping and tunneling is going to get fixed with the SIngularity either.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

bro 4 slug happens once in a billion games against very bad players

I am sure that even if this function is introduced right now, for several months no one will know that it works

and no it doesn't ruin the comebacks because you can still get up and pick up all the survivors

u don't verse nurse a lot do you

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

So now we learned base-kit UB is cancelled and that's good. But they are still working on end game mori mechanic.

Which means if all survivors are on ground or hooked, game will automatically finish. Last downed survivor will be mori'd and everyone will die.

But this will be buff for slugging, why we are making unfun strategies even stronger? And do i need to mention this strategy is already hurts solo survivors more than swfs.

And also this strategy will make comeback impossible as well (Deliverance, lucky escapes, wiggle out etc.).

And you will be forced to use UB in every game for counter this unhealthy possible mechanic.

I don't know why we really need system like this? Why it is not cancelling for good? We don't want end game mori, we don't want base-kit UB. Just fix your core issues, do not create new issues!

This ruins all the awesome comebacks with Deli and Unbreakable. 😐️

  • Hagatha and Billy.

Actually do see twins, and I'd love to not see them :)

  • There are some killers with add-ons in their base-kit that show you which generator is being worked on; Wraith being an example. As for LP being behind a paywall, while yes that may be so, everyone has Spies from the Shadows and it's such a good and underrated perk that will help you throughout the entire game to find survivors.

As for what Otzdarva can do and so on it's such a hyperbole of an argument. How about we don't take a streamer who plays this game for a living and has thousands of hours as an example for the entire community?

The devs have already adjusted gen speeds and nerfed healing. Although that might be a bit of a problem by itself, with old healing at least survivors would play more risky, take more hits, and waste more time on healing themselves and others. Can you blame them for playing as efficiently as possible?

  • Blight and Wraith.

Although on a side-note Ghostface's brown Camera add-on is by far my favourite brown add-on of all the killers. It is SO good for a brown add-on. I wish we had more brown add-ons like that across the board for all killers. Where it's effective but not oppressive.

  • @TheSubstitute said:

Pre 6.1 I used a MoM, WGLF, Empathy, and CoH build. It was quite fun but neither WGLF or CoH work for those purposes anymore and I haven't come up with a suitable substitute for it yet.

Well that's a bit sad. Now I wasted 2000 Iri Shards on a useless perk 😅

  • I'm paraphrasing here, but they said something similar as to why the BP is also capped at 2 million, which I think might also be a reason where your question is involved; they said that they don't want people with more BP to be able to max killers/survivors levels/perks, etc. when there are other people who might not have as much. So sort of to keep it in balance all across the board.

  • You shouldn't be able to reveal him back always. That's literally his power. Survivors have enough time to reveal him. He is basically an M1 killer in most chases. No need to nerf him when he's barely mid.

You can use the key with add-ons to see the survivors' aura, either to protect them or ask them to heal you

This seems like such a waste of time for you and your teammates though, unless you're playing with SWF. But as far as I've read from everyone's responses I don't think it's worth giving it a shot in SoloQ sadly.

  • @MasterGS32 said:

I would really love a response from a dev on this one. Since they killed the 3-gen meta, a single playstyle has become more prevalent than ever. And it's killing the game. You are going to address face camping, which is great. But when are you going to address tunneling? The base kit bt is not enough, off the record is not enough. Nothing is enough right now in the face of a killer that is brainlessly tunneling a survivor at 5 whole gens. I play both killer and survivor equally I would say and while i am playing killer, especially my main, artist, i manage to get wins without tunneling and i try to do that knowing how frustrating it is to face. On the other hand, as a survivor player i have not escaped a single trial in the last 2 weeks. I swear to god, i have all my trials records from the past 2 weeks, cause i wanted to keep them and see what's going on with tunneling so i can come up with this post. Tunneling is a problem. 40% escape chance was the desired ratio right? Well, during my last 2 weeks i have not escaped once thanks to tunneling. Each and every match, i got yet again against another killer that's set his mind to tunnel from second 1, either me or my teammates, and they even have the builds to support it, so i never get the chance toe scape cause by the time we finish the 1st gen, there's only 3 survivors left. They won't stop tunneling even if you give them downs, they won't stop for anything. They are just tunneling against and again and again. And i am so tired of this. I love the game and it's concept, but i cannot keep playing in the hopes that some day i will finally get to escape. I also want to be able to win some trials and when i lose i wanna know the reason i lost so i can get better. *Right now the reason i lose is because the killer decides to turn their brain off and mindlessly get an easy w by tunneling. And the worst thing? THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING I CAN DO TO STOP IT. Solo queue is already a nightmare and all this tunneling just makes it even worse, cause even if I manage to get a 3gen chase, after I go on the hook and I get off of it I just get tunneled like I never even had a chance. So yeah, that's my rant. Tunneling is the biggest problem in solo queue right now. And I guess my question at the end of the day is: Are the devs gonna do something about it? are they gonna give us a chance to once in a while escape a trial while solo-queueing? or do I just leave the game now and i exempt myself from even more pain and frustration? Cause the actual state of the game and of tunneling is no it. It's just horrible and yet no one seems to be talking about it, so i thought i did.

They don't care. It took them 7 years to "do" something about camping. The first actual thing they did is locked behind a DLC.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/377573/are-there-any-mom-users

I'm an occasional user. I consider Mettle of Man a "for fun" perk. Not powerful but fun to get value from.

First time I used it I was going through characters using point offerings and MoM was the only Obsession perk my Dwight had, so I used it and actually got value from it in the match. From there I was hooked.

which other perks do you use it with? Do you need to have botany and self-care to get all those heals or?

  • WoO is a great perks for beginners to learn the maps and layout of said maps better, but also learn the loops. Aside from that it shows you when a teammate/killer has used a pallet/breakable wall, that way you don't go into a loop in the hopes of using a pallet only to find out that it's already been used, nor do you run into a dead-end if a breakable wall hasn't been broken.

  • Good Bubba players can secure kills without face-camping. They do it by actually playing the game. You get points for hunting, brutality, and chasing survivors for a reason and not just for getting kills.

If you want a game where you just stay still in one spot to get a kill, go play an FPS game, and play as a sniper. Problem solved.

  • Usually when people do weird things during matches they're doing archives. Heck some might even be trying to just practice their blinding skills.

Why is it that regardless of what players do though, there's always a complaint about it on the forums? You can't dictate what others do or how they should play in a public match. If you like to, just play with a swf?

  • @Jejune said:

Party streamers are worthless, because currently its gen rush/tunnel fest and i dont want the other side getting points for it. I would much rather prefer if i got more points and nobody knew since no one would grief.

You could use an Escape Cake or any of the envelopes that cater to survivors' BP. I mean, it's just a nice thing to do. After all, it's a 5 man game. No killer, no game, no fun.

  • Yes, for the love of good. I couldn't care less about the progress of those challenges, considering the fact that you can see it in-game, in the archive itself and if you've finished you'll see it as well.

Before the recent updates it used to go away faster at least, but now it stays there for so long.

  • With old Iron Will she was pretty okay to face. With all the aura-reading perks currently in the game though, it can be a bit tiresome to go against an all aura-reading Nurse. But even so, overall okay.

Though I'd rather still face her, with her billion blinks through floors and walls than have to face Knight/SM. Who just require you to hold W. Whereas with Nurse you can actually mindgame them, become unpredictable and have fun in loops.

Well imo I think basements need a little rework to them rather than removing them all together

I would like to see a 2 way into the basement but only one way out that being the stairs and the other way would be a enter only like a trap door you can open to enter the basement but can’t go back out that way so the killer cant just camp the stairs when a survivor is hooked

This would be fun and add a bit of creepiness to the game.

They could even add an old dumbwaiter that goes through all floors of a building into basement, with both killers and survivors being able to use it.

This is what it was designed for and honestly I think it's a good thing that killers have at least one trump on each map.

It's the same as some time waster set ups survivors have. You do not want to go there, so you need to make a decision. Either stear cleer of that area or hope that you can make it through.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3438940#Comment_3438940

BT does help with the basement. You can make it for 44 metres far while protected by a base mechanic. The basement is not that large. Also, the basement is a counter mechanic to hook RNG, offerings and sabotage. The amount of times I've seen a down get completely negated by a bit of luck on the survivor side is infuriating. That can cost the killer the whole match sometimes and there really is nothing the killer can do other than accept they lose because of RNG.

The basement is only as strong as the one defending it. Some people will make it the most horrible place imaginable, others will use it to get a bit of pressure in a game that mostly favors survivors when it comes to that. The basement is not an issue.

It's indeed not that large, considering killers can literally body-block you on certain maps. Where regardless of BT or whichever perk, you won't even get a chance to try and get out. Hook mechanics, offerings and sabo are 3 separate things and can be problematic by themselves. RNG has to do with the maps, offerings, and sabo are trail-dependant and not a constant factor in every match.

As I said, I find that they should either add another entry point to basement or remove it.

  • @Xernoton said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3438891#Comment_3438891

Then, why are you making an argument about basement when the problem you describe comes from Iron Gras (which isn't even good and certainly won't do much without Agitation)?

Face camping is an issue on it's own as well. It doesn't matter, if Bubba drags you to the basement or smacks you on the nearest hook. If he decides you're not leaving, then you're not leaving. That is, of course, until the anti camp mechanic gets implemented.

Because basement is still the issue. It makes all those aspects literally possible for one and worse. Its existence in the current gameplay is redundant. Basekit-BT was also supposed to be anti-camping, yet it's useless in basements.

At the very least they should add two exits to a basement, if so adamant on keeping it.

  • @Xernoton said:

You know that the basement is specifically designed to be close to a death trap, right? It's a means of creating pressure and punishing careless survivors. Removing that makes the game even more forgiving for survivors, which really isn't necessary at the moment.

Yes, obviously. You also do know that Iron Grasp exists right? And that for face-camping killers it doesn't matter whether you go down near basement or a million miles away from it.

Well it's not like you can get 99% of the other charms ever again so why does the whole Community get a Charm for free that people had actually to pay for?

I'm done with this scam. I'm gonna cancel my preorder for the comic.

They never stated that it's indefinitely exclusive. Just that it is (for as long as they desire aka made enough money off of it). It sucks, and the best thing to do is maybe not fall for it if it bothers you as much.

  • It's a simple marketing tactic that works like a charm, every single time a company decides to use it. Some people will simply buy whatever, just because it's "exclusive" regardless of how useless said thing they're buying is.

In reality, it makes no sense. Why would the devs want to exclude people from their beloved and cherished community? You can't have a community if you go around excluding people based on the amount of money they're willing to spend on a virtual charm/skin/whatever. Yet they do, because it sells, and money matters the most to a company.

John Travolta, so we could have Face/Off.

  • Maybe because of the fact that he is a very loud survivor in comparison to others, and both DH and IW have been nerfed. Plus there are a lot more choices now.

  • I honestly love going against him bevause of his unique-ness and ofc because he is from Stranger Things.

His zoning powers aren't greater than that of Nemises. Neither is its hitbox any larger than Huntress/Wesker's. I think it just gets some getting used to on how to precisely counter him.
