unless you want your rounds to last longer than 7 minutes. then you need it.7 minutes and 30 seconds isn't that big a difference.
in this game 30 seconds is a lot more than you'd think
It's one hit, maybe. Meaning Ruin counters exactly one Decisive Strike.
since i mainly play billy at this rank, thats a whole hook opportunity for me. thats a lot.
Fair enough.

That would certainly turn off all sounds, in the sense that it'd get you banned.

Didn't know that...
Thx for sharingKeep in mind that the official wiki is that for a reason - it's the most complete and the best.
-
Nope.
-
@Tsulan said:
There's more than 1 wiki?There's the official wiki, and then there are clones trying to mooch off its success. It's the same with all other media - there's always a main one and one (or more) that just copies it, usually run by someone who's immature and power-hungry.
-
@Tsulan said:
Wait, so survivors are the good guys?The "fake" (not official) wiki even calls them "protagonists", while the Killers are the "antagonists".
-
@DeadByFlashlight said:
The game is not meant to be balanced.In the end we need a 1:4 ratio for the queues, guess thats the real issue why we will never get a balanced game
The ratio comes naturally from the fact that most people prefer to play with their friends no matter what. We don't need an unbalanced game to accomplish that, just look at what happened to Evolve.
-
Yes, this needs to be reversed. It should take a single Survivor 4 times as long to recover the generator as it does for the Killer to regress it.
-
@Tsulan said:
I think support perks need a big buff on both sides. People should have a hard choice of strong perks that allow different playstyles. Not those 5 meta perks, while the rest is garbage.How do you define "support perks"?
-
@Tsulan said:
Yes, I wrote a post about sloppy butcher. Where people defended the 5 second increased heal. Like it was something worth taking.
In the meantime, survivors only use perks that give a 100% speed bonus and ignore 25% speed bonus perks.I read your comment, and I fully agree with it. Killer perks need to be buffed to the point where Survivor perks are, and vice-versa. Additionally, self-sustaining perks need to be changed completely - the Killer is supposed to be the self-sustaining one; not the Survivors.
-
@Tsulan said:
Ruin is weak. Sadly many killers think that it's worth taking, just to get 30 seconds of extra game time.Too true. The numbers on Survivor perks and Killer perks are switched around - whereas Survivor perks save or grant massive amounts of time or bonuses, Killer perks make a small difference, if not an unnoticeable one. Ruin, for example, is so weak that Survivors can elect to ignore it and still win. If a Killer ignores, say, Self Care, for example, their hits become irrelevant.
-
@ToastfaceKilla said:
Buff the numbers a bit and count sacrifced survivors and we good.+1. Couldn't have put it better myself.
-
KYF has this option, you just gotta find people actually willing to play by these rules.
-
They definitely do need a change, but I'm not sure this is the right one. I mean, this is a thing that can kill Survivors, but was intentionally designed not to kill them except under the worst circumstances, making them almost completely safe for Survivors.
-
@Milo said:
But boil over doesnt fully counter it. It negates one effect.My apologies, it negates one effect and doesn't negate the additional 1.9 s of carry time, which clearly make a big difference.
-
Keep in mind that Steam now displays "Multiple VAC bans" if they have more than one.
-
A Nurse's Calling does not counter Self Care. It does not stop the perk in any conceivable way.
Calm Spirit counters Spies From The Shadows - it fully prevents the perk from ever activating.
Boil Over counters Iron Grasp - it fully prevents the perk from taking effect.A Nurse's Calling does nothing to prevent Self Care. All it does is provide you with an aura if the Survivor was stupid/reckless enough to heal within your terror radius.
To say that A Nurse's Calling counters Self Care is like saying that Territorial Imperative counters basement rescues. -
@powerbats said:
Well speaking of hackers that need to be banned I sadly didn't record this last one but the person was pretty blatant about it. They've got multiple VAC bans on record.Which brings up the question if they've got multiple why do they still have their account and why hasn't EAC nailed them yet?
Because VAC isn't EAC. Does Steam even ban an account outright if they have multiple VAC bans?
-
"Vacuum hook" is a thing because unlike Survivors, Killers can only hook from one specific spot, so their character model has to be lined up with that spot. If you want it removed, you should lobby for Killers to be able to hook from any angle, just like Survivors can unhook from any angle.
-
If you don't want to use meta perks, then don't, but you can't not use the perks and also complain that you can't beat the strategies the perks are designed to counter.
-
Sometimes, if they had a particularly bad trial and gave up without disconnecting. I let a Nurse kill me under these circumstances, and told the player not to give up as the Nurse was very difficult to learn.

Again your not answering the previous question. What. is. it. called. then?I would call it "hard camping".
"Proximity camping" is more close area patrolling to me.
That's the most common encountered definition of camping styles.
And anybody using the term "facecampng" for regular camping is outing himself as a noob.You're right. People have too many terms for "types" camping, I'd honestly prefer the umbrella term "camping", with "face camping" for the now-removed exploit and call it a day.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
Thank you for clairfying that it is camping. Call it what you want. face to face. with a stubborn leather face whose practically licking neas knee caps revving a chainsaw is face camping. The defenses everyone here has provided is extremely weak, so ill just assume most of you actually play killer like this. have a good one. Camp on.It's not, though, and you're still wrong. You'll always be wrong because you can't admit error and can't correct yourself.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
still not aswering my question, is it that definition true or not?You posted that comment while I was still writing my own, take a chill pill.

Proxi Camping : When killer stands 1 meter in front of Hooked survivor, doesn't move at all while waiting for survivor to die. is this true???No. Once again, you're hearing things that nobody's saying. Proximity camping is when the Killer stays close to the hook. I recommend you start actually reading what is being said, instead of making stuff up.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
So leather standing 1 inch away from nea is proxi camping??? am i following this correctly?Proximity. If you say "proxi", people will just think you can't spell "proxy".

Again your not answering the previous question. What. is. it. called. then?I'm going to assume English is not your first language, since I literally put it in bold for you. It's called "proximity camping".

@ParalyKoK said:
Ok so its not face camping, then what is it then?? no one has yet answer that.. lol its funny knowing that you guys can disregard the face camp but cant give this a name...The question has already been answered, you just haven't been reading it. That's why you keep saying that you're hearing things we haven't been saying.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
No your avoiding the question, you fail to answer it. over and over again because you cant. thats why. Again. If Leatherface has hooked Nea... follow so far. he stands directly infront of her right... Revving the chainsaw and NOT moving AT ALL.... what would you call that.... hmmmm pray tell id love to hear this because im more then certain it cant possibly be face camping since it was patched right? i love to hear this lolI did answer the question, which further proves you haven't been hearing what we've been saying. I'll put it in bold for you:

If your saying Face camping doesn't exist then we clearly must not be playing the same Dead by Daylight game. I see it all the time. How about i make a montage video of 4 hours worth of different killers and players doing it and you tell me it doesn't exist... -_-You're too new to know what face camping really is, and like most new players, have dubbed proximity camping as "face camping".
-
@ParalyKoK said:
What I am hearing are players who think its ok stand 1 inch away from a hooked survivor while revving their chainsaw and not call it Face Camping, If thats not face camping then what would you call it. what name would you give it then, because all im hearing is a load of bs from what sounds like killer mains using a patch note technicallity as their only like of defense which looks super weak on all of your behalfs.What you're hearing has no relation to what is actually being said, we've been over this already.
-
That's because your rank is too low. A few updates ago made it impossible to drop in rank from rank 20-15, and the last rank reset was a little over two weeks ago, so most people have already ranked up beyond rank 15.
-
Rank, region, and platform?

@ParalyKoK said:
Your assuming because its my First Post that im new. Thats funny. Excuse me if i dont spend a quarter of my life on the Forums for a half dead game. again, ignorance on your part.The game has been alive and well for over two years. Again, you'd know that if you weren't new.
I'm assuming you're new because you're making several categorical mistakes that new players make all the time.@ParalyKoK said:
Again your going base off patch note technicallities. What i explained eariler with the leather face and nea is considered a Face Camp...You consider it face camping, but it's not, because face camping is an exploit that was removed. Again, you'd know that if you weren't new.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
Playing on the fact that it was patched, doesn't mean it has been fixxed. The method is still in practice and it spoils the experience of this game. Again i am not new to this game. Your making assumptions again and you look extremely ignorant on that matter.If you weren't new, you'd know that face camping is blocking the unhook prompt, but you don't, so you are.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
I know your trying to use the "technical Patch note updates" to back up your claims but Face camping still exists... There are somethings that wot go away. Again i repeat we must not be playing the same game then if your insisting that Face camping doesnt exist. Even though the previous Body block face camp method was patch. The act of face camping still exist and thats not how you play this game. You earn nothing for doing it. wheres the Blood Points for doing it then....We are playing the same game. The difference is that I've been here from the start and know how it works, whereas you arrived 10 minutes ago and think you already know everything there is to know.
The only wrong way to play the game is by cheating and exploiting; everything else is fair game.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
So your telling me that leather face has his literal face on Nea's knees reving his chainsaw until she dies is not face camping??? Waiting for someone to show up. no chance to unhook. doesnt step away not once... is that not face camping??? like for real.....No, it's not. Like I said, you're too new to know what face camping actually is.
-
@ParalyKoK said:
What i was talking about was literal Face camping. Nice way of earning blood points, commiting to chases, ya easy clap thumbs up. True skill right there guys... No, you guys are absolutely correct. Face camping is most definitely the most challenging thing a killer can do. I salute you guys o7Nobody said any of the things you claim we said. Again, if you're experiencing auditory hallucinations, you should see a psychiatrist. They get paid to deal with that #########.

Seriously why play the game if you only get 8-10k bp in the end and 1 hook if you are lucky?This could also be applied to gen rushing...
So survivors are supposed to just stand around twiddling their thumbs then and wait patiently for the killer to arrive? That or killers want them to count to 100 before even touching a gen or go stand in the middle and sing.
So why do Survivors complain about Killers camping their objective when they themselves also camp their objective?
-
@ParalyKoK said:
So what im hearing is that everyone here is okay with face camping... So your admiting to being a terrible killer then?You are experiencing auditory hallucinations, if that's the case. I suggest you go see a psychiatrist.

Hahahahahaha
hahahaha reported for trolling
Let me rephrase his point: Self Care has been in the stale Survivor meta since release, and is still the most used perk. Its nerfs were basically irrelevant. I didn't bother replying to you because Wolf74 summarized my thoughts in a fairly ingenious manner, but I see you didn't understand it.

If your idea is about punishing Killers for being near the hook, it's inherently bad, has already been tried, and failed miserably. Think outside the box instead of going for a knee-jerk reaction.

She only has "no arm" because her right arm is also her weapon. It's a different model and has nothing to do with her Lore. It wouldn't make sense to spend resources on creating a full model for her right arm if it's always hidden underneath the weapon model anyways.Also, Cannibals eat flesh, not bone.
I’m pretty sure all you need to do to be a cannibal is eat people, and the bone marrow is something that would be consumable, and the. Boiling the bones would provide you a broth.
A cannibal would totally eat bones or find a way to remove them and utilize them for a supper if desired.
Bone is not edible. You can swallow it, sure, but it just ######### up your digestive system. That's why cannibals don't eat bone.

Staying in any one area for a prolonged period of time, regardless of motivation. And there's nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

BBQ needs the aura reading in order to give killers an incentive to leave the hook. Take that away and i guarantee you, that camping will go back to old levels.
It´s also easier to get WGLF stacks than BBQ stacks. Since BBQ needs a unhooked survivor for each stack. WGLF just requires you to get hit near a injured survivor.So you want to get another aura reading perk for survivors, because Kindred, Empathy, Bond, Alert, Dark Sense, Object of Obsession, Premonition and Spine Chill are not enough...
I agree tho, that we need more perks, addons and items that serve the sole purpose to gain more BP.
I had a reverse Distressing in mind, that reduces the terror radius perception for the survivor who has the perk equipped. Something that gimps the survivor for more BPs.All BP bonus perks/addons/items should give the bonus points post trial.
If a Killer wants to camp they're going to camp.
BBQ has nothing to do with it.
Anyone that says its easier to get WGLF stacks than BBQ stacks is just a biased Killer main that plays Survivor rarely.
Some Killers stay near the hook for a time because they have no idea where to go next. BBQ gives them that direction.
Anyone who says BBQ has no impact on camping is just a biased Survivor main that rarely plays Killer.
