Maybe you can make a new game with ideas like that lol Sorry but that doesnt fit this game at all camping and tunneling meant to be part of a game for balance

Then you think the game is meant to be unfair and unfun. Why play a match when there's a real chance you get tunneled down or camped, effectively wasting your time and power bill? Why play a game that encourages this?

Camping and Tunneling are emergent gameplay mechanics that the developers don't know how to address without overhauling many things at once.

Why play a game when there's a real chance you might lose because you're not good enough? Because it's part of the challenge.

  • Well, it's relative.
Is it your only perk? Then yes, it's better than going with nothing.
Do you have literally any other perk, even one that's bugged and only works half the time? Then no, take the other perk and thank the Entity you'll never have to use Fire Up again.

Right I forgot, survivors should just run in a straight line and never do anything to make you waste time or avoid getting caught.

Even if they ran in a straight line, it'd still take a minute to catch them, give or take.

hmm how long have i been gone and what major events have i missed? in the months that have passed

Survivor queues have gotten worse as more and more killers left, with the current event being the final straw. Still, survivors blame killers (as opposed to their own behavior that drove them away) and are both happy and angry they're unable to play the game in any significant way. One even called killers "toxic" for not playing the game.

    oh so nothing changed then

Well, queues are now bad enough that survivors came to the forum in droves to complain, but they still haven't figured out that their attitudes only make the situation worse.

oh the irony what about the few decent survivors on the forums are they still around or have they been consumed?

Depends on who you mean. If they're still around, you'll run into them.

I'll be as toxic as I want and there's nothing you can do about it as long  as I don't break the official rules

Lol. You killers are so toxic. You act like survivors deserve to sit in lobbies for ages, because the game is designed a certain way. Grow up. It's a game.

No, they act like they're not enjoying the game (or at least the killer side) due to various issues (imbalance, survivor toxicity, grind, bugs, whatever), so they stopped playing it. If you cared about the game, you'd lobby to get these issues fixed. Every killer that quits is another lobby that won't get into a trial, but you'd rather call killers "toxic" for not playing a game they're not enjoying than even consider their grievances might actually be real.

Dead by Daylight is a game where you have to either press mouse 1 a long time for generators or press ctrl for crouching for a long time when playing against Hag especially. Being a mature (read 30+') gamer I'd really appreciate if the game had toggle crouch and toggle gen repair because it would simply be less stressfull for my hands that already get similarly tired in my work.

The gen toggle could be simply toggled off by another click or moving a bit and crouch toggle by another press of ctrl or running a bit.

    Thanks.

All your requests can be made though a very simple AHK script, and as far as I am aware, they don't care about people using scripts, since there is no real advantage to it.

EDIT: i suppose it would be just as easy for BHVR to implement it in the core game, so i see your point.

I've seen people banned for using scripts and would not advise it.

Do you know what sort of scripts they were using? And do you know if it was actually true, or if it was just a guy saying "yeah i know someone who got banned"?

I'm not implying that you are lying, but you often get a lot of stories which is just that; stories :P

It was a script to wiggle and struggle, if memory serves. One user came here to complain about their ban and linked to a thread where several people were complaining that it'd been "detected" and they'd been banned from the game because of it.

I really get insulted for not respecting the 4% aswell (btw I don't believe it's 4% anymore, the amount of kobes I get in my killer matches feels more like 25%. WIthout deliverance btw).
I personally don't follow made up survivor rules because they don't follow any rules.

It's 11.5% if a survivor uses all 3 attempts, because it follows a binomial distribution.

  • @Judgement said:
Same actually but the rehook part is dependent on whether I think they deserve it or not.
Be a toxic ass? That’s a hookin’. Do nothing all game? That’s a hookin’. Sandbag teammates and do basically everything to screw over your team? Better believe that’s a hookin’.
Also Deliverance. If you run that and I think you have it, that’s a facecamping.
But play well and play nice, you’re free to go.

I used to let them go if they unhooked themselves when they were the last survivor on the map (when I hooked them before the others left or died, they sometimes managed to unhook themselves), but they've since proven to be unworthy of any mercy.

  • I always respect the 11.5% (4% over 3 attempts following a binomial distribution). I observe the event like I'm watching a live birth (but with far less disgust). Once it's over, though, the survivor goes right back on that hook.

  • You can (I don't have the link with me, but you can probably find it in the "FAQ & Rules" section), but if it was just the end-game chat, all you need is an in-game report.

Don't you think if a killers getting 4k every match (for example) and still uses post-gen perks to make sure the team dies is not overkill? Or to the very least makes them look like an ass?

It is overkill but they have no way to know before hand. Some games go super fast and NOED is almost necessary, other games it's not needed but procs anyway. I always feel bad for the groups where 1 or 2 of them barely make it to end game, but that's offset by the groups that blaze through gens and now I kind of need it to keep pressure.

If you need the pressure then use it. If you for example play fine without it than clearly you don't need it.

There's a difference between needing something and not needing something, but I guess that points never looked on.

Kind of like how you keep overlooking the fact that you have no real way of 100% guaranteed knowing exactly what motivated a killer to use no-ed? Or how either way, need it or not, there's nothing inherently toxic about using the perk? Your entire argument is based on your assumption and you're using it to slap the toxic label on someone else and have twice now encouraged people to treat each-other badly over the perk.

You make it sound like I just call out every NOED user, perhaps I should of added that I know when they're intentionally being toxic when they display it post game.

You can also tell they're being toxic from how they play, if you're being demolished by then do they really need the perk?

If they display toxicity in the post-game chat, you can report them.

How can they know, in advance, that you're a lot worse at the game than they are? Or do you expect them to swap out perks mid-game?

Since when does that make me for example a lot worse at the game than they are? If anything it shows they're an ass by snuffing out any hope of survival in their match. And it strengthens the point if they also show this toxicity in post-game chat or literally in game...

This has nothing to do with my skill vs theirs, it has to do with their closed mind approach to how a match goes in their eyes. But I guess its OK it just demolish an entire team without a second thought while assuming you're good. This goes for people who out right display this, NOT newbies who need the perk or what have you. I still don't know why you two miss this point.

Your example was about you being demolished. You don't get demolished unless you're significantly worse than the guy you're facing. So, how's the guy you're facing supposed to know, in advance, that he's gonna demolish you?

Do you understand the definition of an example? Its a scenario, I didn't imply it was a reality. Not everything I say is referring to me... Not sure where this is coming from.

The point still stands: How is the killer supposed to know, in advance, that they're gonna demolish the survivors?

They don't? But what I pointed as an example is just that... AN EXAMPLE, is it possible? MAYBE... Is it common? No.

Your argument is that it's toxic to use NOED when you demolish the survivors, since you didn't need it to win, yet you also acknowledge that the killer would need the power of foresight or time travel to know if they were going to need NOED or not. Do you not see the problem with this line of thought?

So you're saying because of the possibility that their match might possible not go as I say, and turn out to be horrible, makes my point null?

No, I'm saying your point is null because they can't know, in advance, how the trial is going to go. They can't know, in advance, if they might need NOED or not. They can't know, in advance, what the survivors are going to do. They can't know, in advance, how good the survivors are.
You're essentially calling them toxic for not being able to see the future.

So you want me to rewrite the entire post and title (again) to appease you or something?

I'm just pointing out the flaws in your logic. What you do with them is up to you. You can either cling to your accusations of toxicity based on people not having the power to see the future, or you can try to see things from a different perspective.

Of course they have the right to use any perks they want its their character, does that justify what they're doing though? No not really.

Yes, it absolutely [BAD WORD] does. Who are you to tell someone else how to play the game they bought? Who are you to tell someone else which parts of the game they bought they're "allowed" to use? As long as they don't break the rules, they're justified in doing whatever they want, because that's the product they paid for. Who are you to say otherwise?

So what you're saying is, since I bought the game I can be an [BAD WORD] to everyone I come across and be utterly toxic? And theirs justification for it? Sounds amazing.

You'd be breaking the rules, so no. I should've known I should've added "as long as they don't break the rules" to every single point, just so you couldn't pretend you didn't read it.

No I read it, what you're clearly saying is if I wanted to I can be a knob to everyone I come across and just because I bought the game that will justify what i'm doing. The same can be said to people who know they don't need NOED but use it anyways despite it being obvious in the match that they don't.

I know that point flys past most your heads, but that's what the rants implying here. Idc if you're a rank 20 using it, or if you're a Freddy who uses it, or what have you. I care only when its on killers that DON'T need it but still have it on them because the killer knows it makes the survivors angry.

That's not what I said, so no, you either didn't read it or just didn't understand it. I don't know why you're pretending you did both.

I cant believe people still think Billy is the most balanced killer.

Crosses the map in 5 seconds, instadowns a survivor 10 seconds into the game before other survivors have even got to touch a gen

    Balanced.

use your ears and eyes. They really help, yea i know you don't believe me but open your eyes and listen more carefully. if you get hit in first 10s of the game by billy chainsaw (or if you get hit next to a gen you're working on) that's 100% on you, not that billy is that good, you are that bad.

It's not me that gets hit that early luckily it's teammates.

The thing with Billy is he can land on top of survivors before they have a chance to make it to a pallet. Everybody knows this, Then it's instachainsaw and down.

No other killer can just fly across the map and instadown people like he can. No way he is the most balanced killer.

He can´t fly. There are tons of obstacles on the map and simply doing a step aside saves you from getting chainsawed.

Now that i think of it... We really need a flying killer! (really flying, not this nurse levitating stuff)

I suggested something that could almost fly, back in the Steam forum. This killer would be able to put down poles across the map and jump to them after charging for a while. He'd also be able to vault pallets. Sound like any killers you might've heard? :P

  • Many survivor perks are underestimated. You'd be surprised what's waiting for you outside the stale meta.

  • Not offended, just curious. Next.

  • You're right, insults don't relate to the topic, so why are you insulting people?

  • What exactly do you think you're going to accomplish by insulting everyone who points out how bad of an idea this is?

  • @Telli_Fury said:
Why are you controlling my post? It’s an idea, and frankly you’re not the majority. Just because some people disagreed on a forum it does not represent the entire DBD community but sadly after interacting with you, it seems like you think you represent them all. 💀😂

I've seen this idea come up a few times, and it's always shot down by the majority of people who read it. I just want to know how many commenters you need before you accept that people don't think Sprint Burst needs to be buffed.

  • @Telli_Fury said:
Once again, thanks for your opinion. Now let’s hear what others have to say.

So far, we've had almost everyone disagreeing with you. How many will it take until you accept that this is a bad idea?

  • @Telli_Fury said:
That’s your opinion and I applaud you for having one.  But in case you didn’t know, the world doesn’t revolve around you. You said your opinion now let’s hear others. Bye bye.

That's the general consensus every time this unnecessary buff is suggested. You're not the first to suggest it, and you won't be the last, but AFAIK, you are the first to pretend it's not a massive buff.

  • @Telli_Fury said:
Are you going to offer alternatives or just keep being a nuisance? You just say the same things and only see it one way. What’s the point, where do you want this conversation to go?

Alternatives are offered when there's a need for them. This idea is just an unnecessary buff to a perk. It's a bad idea.

  • @Telli_Fury said:
I think you might be lost or confused. Adding a key press makes the perk more skill based. You’re suggesting that walking around the map to conserve your sprint burst is skill/strategy which is absolutely humorous. By adding a key to it for activation it makes it skill based. Just like Dead Hard- Dead Hard is not an easy perk to use and easily baitable, just like this perk. And killers will simply adjust to it just like any good player does. This conversations going nowhere and you’re clearly not helping it or adding ideas. Thanks for your time but feel free to move along.

Adding a key press is an unnecessary buff to this perk. It takes away any drawbacks and makes it braindead easy to use.

  • Cue the "killers can be toxic too!" crowd who completely ignore the problem...

  • Knowing when to use and not to use a resource you have is the very definition of strategy. Having it on a key press takes away what little forethought you need to have with this perk.

    @BillyIII said:

    @NoShinyPony said:
You just want to press a button to activate sprint burst? That would be way too powerful and unbalanced. There is a reason why Lithe and Balanced Landing have a condition for the burst to activate.

Then the sprint burst should activate whenever you start sprinting. There would be no button then, and it would be conditional. Why does it need an exhaustion cooldown anyway? Just make it so that you get a burst at the beginning of every sprint, and it will be balanced and competitive. Pig and Wraith don't have to wait for some "exhaustion" to get their respective speed-ups.

Killers are supposed to be more powerful. Regardless, Pig is slowed when crouching and slowed even further when she charges the ambush. Wraith is slowed while cloaking and uncloaking. Both their powers have long activation times, relative to Sprint Burst's.

  • What's actually strategic is the fact that you need to know when to conserve your Sprint Burst and when to use it (by sprinting). You need to think if sprinting is worth it at any given moment, because you might not have time for the Exhaustion to expire before you need to use Sprint Burst again. It adds a layer of complexity to the perk.
Having it be on activation would take away any and all risk assessment necessary for the perk. It'd make the perk less strategic because you'd just have it whenever you wanted.

Just played a match with a Legion that attacked you twice and would walk around you until you were downed. You can’t counter it, because then they hit you.

Never understood the hate, but after multiple franks mixtapes and this? 0 counterplay, and require 0 skill.

absolutely, legion should be erased, and customers that spent real money on it, compensated

Will you be the one to refund them? There are people who enjoy the Legion.

one thing is enjoying the legion as a killer, other is the ontopic thingy, extremelly un-enjoyable to play against as surv

You still haven't answered my question.

offtopic answer: obviously behaviour snould be the one to refund

i seen tons of matches with survs DCing when see killer is Susie

But why, if you're the one who wants to deny people the thing they paid for and enjoy? I'm just trying to understand your logic here. You want people to be denied access to content they paid for because you don't want them to have it, but you don't think you should bear any responsibility for it?
