Never said they dont t-bag me so I don't know where you got that from.
Regardless, survivors not coming back for each other is rare.
-
Many people want to try the new killer. It's the same every single time a new killer comes out. It'll go back to normal in a week or so. In the mean time, if the wait is too long, you can play survivor or play another game.

Pretty selfish, so you don't take the killers attention and get a single time hooked so other mates who are death on next hook are saved? Hopefully you are never my team mate lol. What a terrible playstyle.
I think it's smart not to willingly get yourself hooked. Says a lot about the balance of the game when handing yourself over to the killer can be seen as a winning strategy.

So why dont you run perks like NOED or just...get good? Lol. I'm a rank 5 killer and rarely will survivors stay and wait for me to show up. In fact half the time survivors dont come back for their friends. If they do I just go for the rusher because they're easier to attack than the guy on the BT timer.
If they outsmart me that's on me. Not the survivors being broken.
On the rare occasions I do run NOED, survivors just hang around, find it, break the totem, then unhook anyway.
Good for you that survivors don't teabag you at the exit gates. That's not the experience of the majority of players.

So I haven’t played like at all lately..
What is this perk you’re speaking about, and chapter you’re referring to?
I thought the puking Killers Survivor had the heal to 50% perk, locker stun perk and some other perk.
Can someone TLDR these questions??
It's leaked content. This perk would nullify every third hit a survivor received from the killer, essentially being Borrowed Time on steroids.

well i done a statistic. Every 3 game i played, there are 2 with 1 or more quitter. I think it's obvious that something is not working. It's simple: A game its lasts 15 minutes or 20... if a quitter it's immediatly banned for 1 hour its more convinient for him to finish the game and not quit.
You're looking at it from your point of view, but the automated system bans players based on individual DC rates. Can you imagine what it'd be like if it banned people based on the DC rates of other people (which is the statistic you've gathered)? It'd be ridiculous.

As long as it doesn’t affect the survivors left in trial I don’t see an issue with this becoming a thing.
The devs mentioned they wanted to introduce a feature wherein the killer could surrender once the gates were powered, which would force all survivors to escape instantly and grant them the escape bonus.
-
Yes, please. I want trials to end ASAP once the survivors have already won.
-
@TallTide said:
I understand, but if for every game I make there is almost one quitter... means that this system does not work.
You're assuming they always DC every single trial, which is absurd. The threshold is indeed high, but your assumption that the system doesn't work based on having different people DCing is ridiculous.

Even i do stealth sometimes and i actually don't know how things go over there in NA. Overhere Koreans play really aggressive. They play this game to loop for 5 gens. At the same time, Japanese they play like Ninjas with urban and iron will stuff. We don't understand each other's playing style n yes same story goes on in our DBD communities. Im Korean n i also learned how to play this game from Korean streamers who rarely do stealth. Im not calling which is superior i just want to say both ways in proper situations will be the best.
I'm in Europe. Over here we have a mixture of playstyles.

Please, everyone knows you are contractually obligated to use the same profile picture as the character you main in this game.

You are terrible one-sided. If something is bugged, it needs to be fixed. Of course Borrowed Time is also used by Hook Rushers, but it is also used in a responsible way.
But well... Guess you want it easy?
Did I say it didn't need to be fixed? Nope. I'm just expressing that I'm glad hook vultures and hook rushers can no longer get off scot free.

@[Deleted User] said:
Sometimes it is wise to get killer's attention to save teammates when u didn't get hooked more than once. So better learn how to loop as well at least for 1-2 gens running. Only stealth with urban n cabinets away from BBQ is just waiting for the hatch with sacrificing 3 teammates. I do understand their playing cause it is also part of the game but stealth is smarter I can't agree with that at all.
I stealth and still repair generators, perform safe hook rescues (real rescues, not "rescues" where you just use BT or whatever and pin the killer on the guy you just unhooked), win chases, and escape through the doors along with 2-3 of my fellow survivors.
Sure, sometimes only I make it through the hatch, but it's not my problem the others don't know how to win chases, nor is it my problem they fail at stealth in the first place.

Should I just like keep distance and then hide? I was mostly winning the Chase's, except taking a few hits. I was hooked at the very end, unhooked, downed, then moried.
You lost the chase. Taking hits and being hooked is losing the chase. Winning the chase means actually escaping the killer.

@Usui said:
Of course it's bad lol.. this is exactly what the cry baby killers wanted.. yet still NOED hasn't been touched
NOED has been heavily nerfed since release. From lasting indefinitely to lasting two minutes to becoming a Hex perk that can be disabled before its totem even lights up. Maybe learn to break totems and NOED won't be such a problem.

Not superior, just more fun. It's just my experience how I played the game since release.
At the beginning I played super immersive and was scared. I got caught fast when found. So I thought I have more fun playing immersive.
Over the time I got better and better at getting chased and I had more and more fun with that up to the point that I have more fun getting chased (even when I get downed quick) than playing immersive.
Now I play the super efficient playstyle using as less pallets as possible, which is can be really intense compared to using one pallet after another just to get not hit (besides it creates dead zones ######### over my mates and myself later on)
You know what I'm trying to say? Ofc everyone is different, but I think those who prefer stealth were never to the point they could compare it with getting chased because they aren't that good at it.
Exactly, it's your experience. Your preference. I can juke killers just fine, yet I still choose to play stealthily because I enjoy it more than looping. Looping is equally boring while I'm playing survivor and killer.
-
Maybe try to win the chase instead of prolonging it?
-
@HazeHound said:
@KillermainBTWm8 How anti tunnel perk is balanced when i as killer can literally tunnel all 4 users and not get stabbed once?
Don't get me wrong, I am guy who camped ds users just for having it and never actually used it myself just because it was broken. I am the most satysfied person to see it dumpstered. But making it literally useless is overkill.
Really, you tunnel all four survivors simultaneously? Are you playing the Legion as the name implied they'd be like?
-
@HavelmomDaS1 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/374986#Comment_374986
Everyone to his own, but I think most who play super immersive are just new players or players who are quite bad at chasing and never tried to learn how to get chased long. They stay in the comfort zone. It may be fun to play immersive for them. But I'm quite sure they would have more fun with more interactive gameplay against killers in a direkt 1v1 confrontation (if they get better ofc)
I have fun ending chases ASAP, rather than by looping the killer indefinitely. People who play stealthily enjoy stealth more than the alternative. I'm not sure why you're assuming your way is somehow superior.
-
@xChrisx said:
Sometimes playing stealth its a good strategy but yeah i think/prefer playing aggressive. Be chased its my favorite part of the game, idk why someone its happy to play stealth, i mean its just boring, do gens and crouch around the map wasting time.
Some people enjoy playing in a way that requires more forethought than just memorizing all the loop spots and waste time by using them. To each their own.

Hitting a survivor while they're unhooking still makes them injured, I don't often condone camping but if you really want that kill and the exit gates are open theres no point in not camping
Suppose I do hook them. Then someone else can just come along with BT and unhook them. I have to hit the new guy all over again while the other one gets away. Rinse and repeat until someone dies, or until they all come bodyblocking and I can't do #########, because 90% of survivors (in my experience) will never leave through the exit gates unless you chase them out.
-
@Kagrenac said:

I mean you could just go for the person rushing...considering you know...he doesn't have an extra hit
They both take 2 hits to go down, but (presumably), only one is on their death hook.
-
@George_Soros said:
@Orion it's hardly fair to ask to stop hook rushing when gates are open. BT is precisely there for that. If it's indeed a bug, that's one that has to be fixed asap.
I think it's hardly fair to have killers unable to get the only kill they're able to get in the end-game, yet here we are. Besides, in my experience, BT is used by hook rushers more often than not.
-
@Kagrenac said:

All these nerfs come at the expense of solo players. As someone who plays solo survivor more often than SWF, theres no point in trying anymore.
Just another reason why SWF should have never made it into the game without balancing it first.
-
@The_Crusader said:
Most of those nerfs were needed to be honest.
Survivors don't need crazy perks like these to buff them. Nerf NOED and its probably the biggest 'buff' survivors could get right now. Also balance Nurse and Billy. Those 3 things alone would help survivors massively. They don't need any buffs against the bottom tier killers.
They are balanced. From a kill rate perspective, against a sweaty tryhard SWF, an equally tryhard Nurse or Billy will achieve a 50% kill rate.
-
BT worked just fine when hook rushers used it against me. Maybe stop hook rushing until this is fixed? Just a thought.

It was those very comments about "communication" that made me think you were doing it out of spite. It can be seen as "oh, so you want to bleed out, you're welcome", something like a "why are you hitting yourself".
Anyways, speaking of wasting time, I think both of us are doing it right now, since we are not really adding anything to the conversation anymore. Have a good day.
No, I literally meant that survivors are communicating they don't want to be hooked. Why would you resist something you want to happen? My conclusion is that they don't want it to happen. To say nothing of when they crawl to various corners of the map after being put in the dying state, knowing full well there's almost zero chance I'll ever find them.
Most survivors I've met avoid being hooked even if they know they're gonna die either way, so I let them bleed out as per their choice. It's just that simple.
-
@Lagoni said:

You keep going back and forth between whether or not you do this out of spite or not. If the hook is too far away, sure; let them bleed out, but it sound like you would drop a survivor in front of a hook, just because they wiggled, which is extremely childish.
If I think the hook is too far away, I will immediately drop the survivor. If they're right in front of the hook, they won't have time to wiggle before I put them on it. I don't do it out of spite, I do it because I'm not taking any risks.
EDIT: Also, you're the one who keeps projecting spite onto my actions, when I've repeatedly said I'm not taking the risk and don't really care why survivors wiggle, since all they're doing is communicating that they don't want to be hooked.
-
I think it's 110%, but don't quote me.

Well lets unnerf Nurse.
Players put money and points into her when she had 3 Blinks and 115% MS. Its unfair.
Too true. This would also make one of her achievements easier to get. Players demand OG Nurse!
(Note, though, that the Nurse is free)
-
Don't use it, problem solved.
Stuff gets buffed and nerfed in multiplayer games all the time. Hell, even in single-player games stuff gets buffed and nerfed all the time. Maybe you should play games that are abandoned as soon as they're released.

Oh okay. So unfortunately i was right. You are just a man-child then. If you are concerned about wasting time, then how is your logical conclusion; to drop the body and AFK for 2 minutes out of spite just because "they dared to wiggle"?
I'm not taking the risk that the next hook is too far away, no matter how much you try to shame me into playing stupidly even though the survivors are communicating that they want to bleed out.
-
No?

Almost every game I play has it in some form. I guess the nerds over this project only care about patching stupid stuff like getting survivors out the map lol. They cant do it

Sure i get that, but it's still extremely childish and toxic behavior that i would assume is looked down upon. If you can't make it to a hook, sure, you can choose to let them bleed out, but just for wiggling?
Wiggling means they're trying to make it so I don't hook them, which means they don't want me to hook them. There's only so many ways you can communicate in this game, but that one seems pretty clear to me. Why would you resist something you want to happen?

You don’t pip if you slug and don’t hook. The new emblem system is supposed to promote multiple bookings. The OP said the killer didn’t even hook one person, just slugged the entire match. They can play how they want though.
@Orion while I understand wiggling with no hope of escape may be annoying for you as a killer. Maybe the only reason the surv is doing it is for those few extra points it will give, not to annoy you.
I don't really give a ######### why they do it. I'm not taking the risk that I'm not making it to the hook when my victory is already assured.
-
@Lagoni said:

I would assume that those actions are reportable as taking the game hostage. You are deliberately wasting someones time, while they can do nothing about it. If a survivor manages to get off, even though there is no hope of surviving, they still get more chase points. Grow up.
Holding the game hostage only applies when the trial cannot end. As you said, survivors will bleed out, eventually. As far as I'm concerned, it's their choice to bleed out. I've already won at that point, it's their choice whether they die slowly on the ground or quickly on the hook.
TL;DR: Don't wiggle if you know there's no hope of escape. Stop trying to waste the killer's time and they won't waste yours either.

I don't normally get mad at dbd but I swear I could have gone full Nea and killed the killer.
What's with survivors blaming the killer for everything that goes wrong? And yes, the implication is that you were pissed at the killer specifically, given that last sentence.

True but unlocking perks isn’t exactly tricky these days. Plus not so powerful perks/ less popular would work out cheaper for them so again it would balance.
Unlocking perks is actually really ######### difficult due to bloodweb RNG. After some thirty levels with the Plague, I have not unlocked the second tier of any of her perks. And again, it makes no sense to deprive new players of perks they know are good just because they're good. That's kinda the opposite of what the Shrine is for.
-
@mj2303 said:
Not harder at all, if they didn’t own the perk and unlocked it they would now own it as it is now.
It'd be harder because those perks would cost more.

NOED will never be in the shrine and wouldn't be as popular if survivors just did their objectives. Putting that aside, why would you make it harder for new players to acquire perks that everyone else already has?

So you are saying slugging and not hooking a single survivor is fun gameplay and is justified? Looks like you are the cause of the problem.
When survivors wiggle when there's no hope of escape, I let them bleed out. Clearly they want to be slugged, if they're resisting letting me put them out of their misery through the hook.
