But it doesnt work like that anymore? The time only drops now if a survivor is doing something that isn't mending or running. So even if you are moonwalking after them it would never down them unless they stop running for some reason.
That's the issue, it'd let you know exactly when the survivor stopped running.

How about 9 generators instead of increased repair time?
Same difference, you'd have 4 people to work on 3 gens. Again, keep in mind I'm assuming the survivors die instantly, and it still comes up in their favor. There'd simply be too many of them, it's not feasible unless you want to add another killer.

Also I think the BP you were to get for your unhooking should go to your victim.
"Unsafe unhooked: 1500 BP!"
Like how when you DC you lose all BP's...in this case of bad sportsman like behaviour..it goes to a specific person instead of nowhere.
Didn't even think about the BP, but you're right.
-
The issue with 2v8 isn't that the killers would be too powerful. The issue is, in fact, quite the opposite.
Survivors needing to repair 7 generators, for example, would mean that if the killers were each chasing a survivor, you'd have 6 out of 7 generators being worked on. Assuming they killed both survivors upon winning the chase (no hooks or anything) and immediately started chasing two more, you'd have 4 survivors to repair 1 generator. Even with increased repair time (which nobody wants), this would be so survivor-sided it's not even funny.
A balanced 2-killer mode would probably be something like a 2v6 with 6 or 7 generators that need to be repaired.

It’s astonishing just how well (and often) this works. Most survivors need to prove that they’re much better than the killer by ensuring absolutely everyone escapes overrides being sensible. Just like NOED. Most survivors won’t just leave. At least one desperately searches for the totem.
The best part? A recently unhooked survivor doing a bold in the face unhook because they now have DS “immunity”? Just mori them.
But what purpose does it serve when you can't actually kill any of them or you lose the insta-down?
-
Nope. That's just something salty people tell themselves when they lose to something due to their own mistakes. It's being said about Spirit, it was/is also said about Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, Huntress, Shape, Hag, Cannibal, etc.
Just think about it: do you think it's easy to play a killer who can't see survivors?

NVM then. It's just that this situation was very similar to one I encountered earlier today with a Dwight wearing elf pants.

I can see the analogy. As for decisive, anything less than 5 secs wouldn't be punishment for tunneling. I remember the 3 sec DS, a killer purposely tunneled with enduring because they could literally hit you as soon as you landed back on the floor.
Without Enduring, though, the devs said it was long enough, which makes me wonder why they decided to keep it at 5 seconds.
PS: DS does not punish tunneling, it punishes picking up the same survivor inside 60 seconds. Doesn't matter if the survivor is fully healed, doesn't matter if the killer downed someone else, doesn't even matter if the killer hooked multiple people. That's not an anti-tunneling perk, that's just a "don't pick me up again for 60 seconds or get stunned" perk. Anyway, this thread isn't about DS, so let's move on.

But the perk will show the survivor entering the locker.
From the description it just sounds like the teammate got lucky and then decided to try to save his own skin.

Which perks did he have?
There's no perk that can show you a teammate inside a locker. You are immune to aura-reading.
OP, was it a Dwight and were you up against an Oni? If so, I was in that trial.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Didn't bloodlust come out when infinites truly existed and for that very reason? I think it is time that feature is removed because it rewards bad killers and punishes good survivors.
It stayed because the devs want survivors to go down within a certain amount of time. Same reason Decisive Strike was buffed to a 5-second stun because Enduring used to affect it, but even after Enduring ceased to affect it it remained as a 5-second stun.

So let him. What's the big deal?

I was bored, so I put this data in a spreadsheet to do my own statistical analysis, and the average comes up as 2,32.
Also, I think the Nurse has a typo. You have every other killer organized by how many times you faced them, but the Nurse is a 6 between an 8 and a 7.
EDIT: The sum also comes up as 246, not 250.

Much MUCH more evil is Nemesis, Furtive Chase, and Rancor. During the endgame you make sure you hook the Obsession, and then the survivors get to take turns being instadowned and there’s very little they can do about this
They'd have to be very stupid to keep falling for that, though.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Yes, it does. If the Obsession is blind, they’ll never know Rancor is in play.
Very interesting... Thanks.
@LordGlint said:

Or...you could do Rancor+Nemesis. Had a game where after I moried the obsession by the exit gates and their teammates t-bagged next to me during the animation, one of em decided to try to farm some quick BPs by flashlight blinding me. Obsession swaped over and I got ANOTHER mori, lol.
That sounds evil.
-
@FrenziedRoach said:
Interesting perk interplay I hadn't considered there.
Same. It's just that Rancor is so rarely used, in my experience, that it never even occurred to me that that's how he was tracking us.
Now I'm wondering if Third Seal could prevent Rancor's aura-reading on the survivor's side.

If she is using her power in burst then just B line for the next loop. She comes out of phase way behind you and has to follow at 110. Eventually you will force her to use her entire power bar. The reason this tactic even works is because most survivors stay at the loop.
So true (minus the "B line", it's "beeline").
I once faced a Meg who did exactly that. She simply ignored my attempts at mindgaming her and kept running, like a real Meg. In other words, the only winning move is not to play.

I don't think any killer in DbD is scary either. Does that mean they should be removed from the game until the devs find someone scary to play the role?
I'm expressing my opinion on FNAF and why I, personally, would not like it to be added to DbD, the same way OP and Dehitay are expressing their opinion on FNAF and why they, personally, would like it to be added to DbD. What's the problem?
-
Report it, though I also have no idea what that's supposed to mean. Sounds vaguely like a death threat, but it could also just be "I'll kill you in the game if I see you again".

Sounds like an irrelevant distinction that serves as a thinly-veiled (yet convenient) excuse for bigots to use the word while pretending they're not bigots. Same thing when they make racist and/or homophobic comments and pretend they're "just jokes".
Let's be adults and call a spade a spade here.

Well, that's like saying that the Spirit looks Japanese-ish. That's the whole point! The animatronics are supposed to be something that used to be adored by children and got twisted into something evil. Why not just be even more blunt and say that it looks like an animatronic. It would be ridiculous to say that the Trapper doesn't seem like he belongs in DbD because it looks like something that got mutilated in a mine.
And that's why they're not scary, they're off-putting. Living dolls aren't scary.

Cartoonish? You mean the way that absolutely everything in DbD looks like? It's going to be rather difficult to downplay FNAF's horror imagery as not good enough for DbD when they're in the same situation.
I mean cartoonish in the sense that it looks like an evil teddy bear with fingers and toes.
DbD's graphics might be cartoonish, but the Trapper doesn't look like something you'd expect from a horror film based on Toy Story.
-
@Dehitay said:

You literally just said that FNAF relies on off putting imagery while stating that the imagery isn't scary. Also, what the hell kind of plastic dolls have you been looking at? Everything about that implies fabric and metal. If anything looks like a plastic doll, Oni looks like an action figure.
Off-putting doesn't mean "scary". A misaligned floor tile is off-putting. A mannequin can be off-putting.
Honestly, the image is so cartoonish that I didn't know ######### I was looking at. It looked like the holes were just melted spots, and because it looks like a doll I went with plastic.

That would be a valid point if you didn't cherry pick the most friendly looking picture you could find in a short amount of time to prove your point. Not to mention that anybody who knows anything about FNaF knows that Springtrap is going to be the most likely choice for a killer, not Freddy. And this is the very first picture you find if you google image Springtrap:
Looks like an old plastic doll. Not scary. FNAF isn't scary, it relies on jump scares and off-putting imagery.
-
So which country are you in, exactly?
-
Easy fix: if you don't perform a safe unhook, you go down instead of the unhooked person, your aura is revealed to the killer for 5 seconds, and all your second-chance perks (like DS) are immediately disabled. Meanwhile, the unhooked person is fully healed (to prevent killers from abusing the free down).
Sounds overkill, I know, but it would definitely eliminate unsafe unhooks.

Woah now... adding blm and lgbt "cosmetics" are political statements. Not everyone agrees with these extreme ideas and ideals and adding things that represent and support them to a product that doesnt need to discuss them makes it a political statement.
And I'm against adding politics to dbd. If the devs hold ideas that's perfectly fine they are people they can. But this is a game a product I don't want it here.
Not even gonna more mention that I very much disagree with the specific ones you listed for many reasons unless you wanna discuss why.
What's extreme about people's lives being important? I don't see how that's political in the slightest, but maybe you can enlighten me. Furthermore, maybe you can enlighten me why you disagree that black people's lives matter.

"Also, everything is political because a certain group wants everything to be political, so they can then complain about "politics" they don't like (for example, treating human beings with decency regardless of skin tone, sex, or sexual orientation) being "shoved down [their] throats". Identity politics at its finest, where the mere mention of a character being LGBT is seen as a political statement as opposed to being no different from mentioning that Kate plays guitar."
Very well said. Recently an acquaintance of mine was complaining that Mortal Kombat was "getting a bit too PC." How, you might ask? By adding too many female characters that contribute to the games' plot. 🤦
Exactly. They play up identity politics so people react to women, minorities, etc., in any setting as being "political" or "PC" or "SJW" automatically. And those things have a negative connotation in their brains, so they react negatively. It's Pavlovian training.

How so? It's not my fault if they're offended by cosmetics and feel the need to use racist and homophobic epithets.

Fair enough. Have you ever came across a racist or homophobe? I once came across someone called 'Allah is a nonce' and a survivor who called another survivor a 'dirty little jew' just for accidentally sandbagging him. Reported the 'Allah is a nonce' guy on steam and left the lobby, pretty sure he's not banned though. The guy who said 'dirty little jew' is also not banned on DBD or Steam. Go figure.
Y'know, I don't remember. They're just so forgettable, always saying the same #########, it's like talking to bots. What I can tell you is that if I did come across any, I made sure to report them. Always report these people.

So you think to beat their toxicity, we try to force it out and report it when they try to spread it?
Nobody would be forcing anything on anyone, the devs would just be adding things many people want, for money (y'know, like how every business in the world works), and some others would break the rules and get themselves banned, leaving behind a better game for all.

I was right there with you until you posted this conspiracy theory. It's in the devs' best interest to make the game less annoying to play, why would they ignore this? They already added a "Main Menu music" option after it was requested.

Good talk, but I'd rather not go back and forth if you don't have any constructive feedback/ideas. I won't allow you to derail my thread from the overall subject either.
Take care.
There's nothing to do except wait for the devs to optimize the game on console. My point was simply that you shouldn't say PC players "won't understand" something as basic as framerate drops.
-
Never mind.

@Unicorn said:

That was my thought process indeed, considering the game seems more optimized on that platform. But I don't play on PC as said above so I wouldn't know.
And I am aware this is an issue for the devs to solve, which is why I made a possible suggestion. Band-aid or not, input is input and a suggestion is better than no one talking about it at all.
There are literally millions of other games. Anyone who plays games even casually will have experienced framerate drops at some point in their lives.
