I am joking about that perk. And you know it.
You literally said that's what both sides want, so it doesn't sound like you're joking.

This is the killer version. LOL
The killer version of the survivor rule book is an imaginary perk that nobody asked for? Come on, you have killers demanding stupid ######### too, and that's what you come up with?

Thats not how Matchmaking works. It takes the highest Rank of the SWF-group.
That's how it's supposed to work, yes. However, when I was low rank playing SWF, we got killers around my rank more often than we did my teammate's rank.

At no point did I ask for a Nerf and really you've succumbed to telling me to get good? I thought veterans of this forum had a bit more to offer.
You get absolutely nothing for filling a recovery bar. And if you have your recovery bar to Max, you get nothing for crawling to a better position. If you are slugged again you have to fill that depressing recovery bar again and if the killer is running infectious fright your depressing earn nothing recovery bar is being interrupted by things beyond your control. If you're the poor sod that was down first to a snowball and all game long you've been with a recovery bar or a bleed out timer the match is over with nothing to show for it.
There's not much to say that hasn't already been said. You have Unbreakable to get back up. You have Flip Flop if you want to benefit from being slugged. You have No Mither if you want the killer to never slug you (although this one is a bit difficult to use).
Playing survivor means that some things (like the killers' actions and their own teammates' actions) will be beyond your control. That's part of the appeal.
You never asked for a nerf, no, but you keep bringing up typical thinly veiled language for nerfs. "Not fun". "Beyond your control". "Can't do anything/fight back". "It's BM".
If you're not asking for nerfs, then say, explicitly, what you do want.

Yeah, if you're at a gen with full visibility. There aren't many of those on every map. He does it around the corner and dashes around that angle? Scary lol
I'm too cautious for that. I'll just assume he's near me if I don't know where he is.

@Aven_Fallen said:
If you think that SWF makes bad players good, you are wrong. Most SWFs are not that good, and most are indeed just friends playing together. Real SWF-Squads exist in VERY low numbers.
But I guess you are one of those who plays against SWF-Squads EVERY game.
SWF does boost mediocre survivors, I have first-hand experience with that. If it boosted me to rank 5 (so far), imagine what it does to players who're already very good at the game.

Yeah, but lots use the addon that makes his bong static and the same for everyone across the map just to mix people up more. So, he can use his speed boost after the bong to hit you without realizing
I have eyes, I'll see him turning visible and vault through a window long before he's finished.
-
@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330522#Comment_1330522
Really? I find it much easier to react to wraith. He has to bong before being able to hit and is still a bit visible with his wobbly model. GF just pops out around the corner and smacks. I mean, I obviously don't play survivor much so I don't really know, but most people consider him pretty low tier.
Sure, he has to bong, and that's what gives me time to escape. I just meant he can get close to me, more than any other killer.
-
@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330498#Comment_1330498
That's his best counter, but it's hard to react when he knows right where you are and you aren't in a gen with full visibility. Like gens in shacks and around walls are so good for him
I have good reflexes. The only killer that might sneak up on me is the Wraith, and that's only because he's literally invisible.

I mean getting into a chase as in I focus on the survivor and run behind them. Not the game considering me in a chase. I bop them and then go on my way so that down the road I pop up out of stealth and bop them so they go down. GF is honestly one of the best killers if you use the cooldown addons imo. No terror radius or stain every 16 seconds. Then you have discordance/thana(depending on what you want) and bbq? Survivors are not gonna be having a fun time.
I'm aware of Ghostface's effect on survivors. Personally I don't get it because I'm always looking around even if I don't hear the TR, but it seems to be an issue for them.

I think camping is an issue when it can chase people away from the game. The game having an influx of new people is very important. I'm not gonna change my mind about NOED being unhealthy for the game. So, we can agree to disagree.
A lot of crap chases people away from the game. Yet, despite all the supposedly rampant camping and NOED usage, the game has only grown. Could it be that these complaints are extremely exaggerated?

Yeah, I play hit and run GF. I'm not even getting into a chase. I'm getting everyone injured and bothering everyone to keep gens from popping. Obviously our play styles and killers would effect our outlook. I usually have a down and hook before a gen pops. Nurses, sloppy, and a mix of info perks on the best stealth killer in the game lol
If you're hitting them you're definitely getting into chases. Hitting triggers the chase conditions. That said, no heal meta is a thing.

Would hate to be the killer who lets 2 gens pop before a hook
Implying you have control over what survivors do when you're not there. If you're not chasing me, I'm on a gen. So is every other survivor with more than half a neuron. If the guy you're chasing is somewhat competent, you will not get him down before I'm done with my gen.

Imagne playing a 4 minute long match where nobody can get a single unhook and escaping through the hatch just to derank like everyone else including the killer.
Even a blind man can see that DC-ing doesn’t make a difference here other than making it faster to hop into the next match for giving up on that poss poor 7-8k points I earned.
5 minute DC penalty. At most, you'll bleed out in 4 minutes. It's much faster to die.
-
@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330428#Comment_1330428
bruh. You have 2 minutes until your friend dies. 80 seconds per gen and 14 seconds per bones. If you're a god tier swf and do everything perfectly that leaves 10 seconds to open the exit gates before your friend dies. Exit gates take 20 seconds. That's if everyone plays perfectly and the person isn't getting camped near bones. Bones can spawn pretty close to a hook.
By the time the first survivor is hooked, at least two generators should have popped. That means 3 gens for 3 people (80 seconds), plus a gate (20 seconds). 100 seconds in total, leaves 20 seconds to teabag each other before leaving.
-

Accurate. There are scenarios where camping is justified, just like gen rush is justified as long as the game allows it
Exactly. Gen rushing might not be fun, but it is efficient. Camping can also be efficient, if the survivors allow it. I can't blame players for playing efficiently, as long as they're not exploiting or cheating.

But you can see how I think DS and BT are less of a threat, right? BT gets countered easily by hitting the unhooker. DS is either going to wear off or frustrate you for a second and then they're gonna get downed again unless they DS you at the exit gates. I think DS is harmful to the game, but I think NOED is much more harmful.
Nope. NOED can be disabled before it ever triggers and you get more points in the mean time in a category that's difficult to get points for (in my experience). DS stuns you for 5 seconds and you're stuck in a catch-22 scenario where if you eat it early the survivors can just keep pumping out gens and if you eat it late they escape. BT rewards hook farmers and needs to go the way of the dodo bird.

But yeah it is probably the reason why people say there is no point arguing with you. Sad story for sure.
Alsooooo you were the same dedicated about Candyman being the next chapter. And look you were wrong once again.
Here are the facts, as you laid them out:
- A survivor was hooked in the basement after a long chase during which 3 gens were repaired
- The Huntress was camping the basement stairs
- Your teammates went for an unhook and failed, getting themselves downed in the process
- You went for an unhook and failed, getting yourself injured in the process
- You went inside a locker and disconnected
Explain how that's not feeding.

If they're running you and keeping you around the hook it's not camping. I think NOED isn't great against great players and players with comms or on a killer actually playing the game. I think it's busted when the killer camps. The game already makes it easy to camp. I don't think there should be a perk that makes it so much easier. You shouldn't have to assume NOED every game and do all the bones lol
Not running, literally just crouching around the hook. I refuse to engage because it's more beneficial if they stay around - fewer survivors on gens.
You shouldn't have to assume BT every game and DS whenever you see an obsession either, but that's how it is.

You just called yourself a camper btw. I was just pointing out that maybe the guy who mains survivor and camps and tunnels as killer doesn't really care all that much how balanced NOED is.
I explained a very specific scenario in which I camp, yes. If you think it's bad to camp when most or all survivors are vulturing around the hook, I don't know what to tell you.
NOED has had nothing but nerfs since launch. At some point, it becomes less about the perk and more about the players who won't counter it.

Lobby dodge if you're worried about it.
That's not a solution, that's just avoiding dealing with the problem.
OP, you have to know how SWF play. Usually they're overly altruistic, so you can take advantage of that. Also, if you're playing a stealth killer or a killer that puts down traps, assume all survivors see you and/or your traps if you put them around a hooked survivor.
If they're SWF "death squads", there's nothing you can do if you're not in the top 1% of killers (even then it's extremely unlikely you'll win unless they massively ######### up).

Yes I wen’t there to attempt the save. That’s what a good sportsman does rather than waiting for hatch. Than I realized there is no way I get them out so I narnia-teched her after luring her out.
And losing 3 gens during the first chase is not the survivors fault for doing their objective that the game spawned them right next to.
Unhooking against a camper is a bad move, period. You screwed up, that's why you disconnected in a locker.
I never said her losing 3 gens was the survivors' fault, so I'm not sure why you felt the need to say that.

Just to be clear. You sait I WAS the one feeding the killer because the rest of my team failed to get the guy off the basement hook and ended up there as well. And saving them was pretty much imossible because as I said before, she was camping the stairs with hatchet in hand and I was a onehit already. (Which happened when I blocked for the guy in his first chase to take the agro when he was about to go down but she ignored me).
You said she camping the basement stairs. Either you went there or she cheated and threw a hatchet through walls and hit you somewhere else on the map.

Not only that. He also thinks that Moris are fair and balanced. No point in discussing with him, I gave up myself.
And well, it is quite clear that DS while not being an Anti-Tunnel Perk is punishing tunneling. While this is not the sole intention of the perk it is logical that someone who goes after the Unhooked guy will have to eat the stun.
Funny how people often say there's "no point in discussing" because I won't agree with the opinions that they present without justification, like I'm supposed to just blindly accept their opinions and completely discard my own and my own thought processes.
I could say the same thing about you, that there's no point in discussing things with you because you won't accept my opinion.

Well he pretty much supports basement camping that’s confirmed. And say it’s the survivor’s fault for “FeeDInG” the killer Lmfao. I just love how people likes to defend their opinions even if it ends up not making any sense.
For context, he's talking about the fact that a Huntress camped the basement after three gens popped during the first chase and his entire team funneled into the basement like lemmings. Naturally, I said they were to blame for their deaths because they fed her.
@Kolonite said:

NOED makes it so the the killer will 100% get two kills if they camp. Solo queues can't find all the bones and do all the gens in less then 2 minutes. All you're saying to me is you play like a dick and are ok with abusing systems, camping, and tunneling to win. So, you can see how people wouldn't really care about your opinion on if things are fair or not, right?
So a survivor wound up on the hook immediately? Sounds like you went up against a cheater, I'd report that killer if I were you.
No abuse. I don't cheat, glitch, exploit, you name it. I play the game as is, with the intended mechanics. I use DH and often get five tokens before it's destroyed (assuming it didn't spawn out in the open, naturally). I also camp if the survivors are swarming the hook like vultures. I gen rush when killers camp and/or tunnel.
Assume whatever you want, I can tell you just want an excuse to avoid addressing my arguments. That's why you're going for ad hominem attacks.
-
@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330257#Comment_1330257
NOED exposes everyone for no cost. Rancor exposes one person for a cost. Survivors get to know where you are after popping a gen. Remember just increases the timer for the exit gate and only works if you're finding your obsession and smacking them. Blood warden is only active if you hook someone during the EGC and they're only being seen if they're in the exit gate area. I think all of those perks are fair. Blood warden could be amazing with NOED though. You get a hook and they can't escape while getting one hit.
NOED has a cost, you're playing with 3 perks during the majority of the trial and it won't even activate if the survivors play efficiently. Even if it activates, it can be disabled in 14 seconds at any point after it activates.
-
@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330247#Comment_1330247
Takes a whole lot longer to heal twice than to smack someone twice. The fact that BT actually bothers you is pretty fun. I main killer and can't think of many situations where it's just a poor decision to go for the unhooker. The fact that you feel like you have to defend going for the unhooked so much really makes me wonder what kind of killer you are to play against. Do you support face camping Bubbas with NOED? It's a smart play. They can't do all the gens and bones before you get a second hook to camp. So, really you should just play Bubba, pop on NOED, and camp. I mean... It's smart, right?
No, it doesn't. Healing takes 16 seconds, so twice would be 32 seconds. Can you get two hits inside 32 seconds on a moving target with an M1 killer?
I'm the kind of killer who plays however the ######### he pleases, just like the survivors I go up against. I do the same as a survivor, which is where I spend most of my time.
I don't support face camping Bubbas with NOED. That's why I always tell survivors to GTFO instead of rewarding them. However, because survivors reward campers, it is indeed smart to play that way if you're just going for kills. The day survivors stop rewarding campers is the day camping ceases to be a problem.

@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330215#Comment_1330215
Not really. It's easier to slug a survivor for a few seconds if you think they have DS than it is to do all the bones. It's easier to hit the unhooker and not the unhooked than it is to do all the bones. Borrowed doesn't punish the killer for playing smart. Why are you trying to defend hitting survivors that just got unhooked? NOED doesn't hurt SWFS that are really good. It punishes the solo players that already have a hard time lol
It's very, very easy to break the totems. Survivors just have to actually do it. How many survivors see totems and completely ignore them?
I'm defending smart plays. One survivor is injured, the other is not. The injured one is the easier target, so it makes more sense to go after them. At best, BT simply evens the playing field and makes it so both survivors require two hits to down. Thing is, because BT isn't shown to the killer, there's no way to know if it was used unless the killer hits the unhooked survivor, so the unhooked survivor is getting hit anyway.
If there's a survivor in the dying state and one that's just injured, which do you heal first? Now imagine a killer perk that makes it so you have to heal them twice. You wouldn't know that the killer is using the perk until you healed, but it's not like you're just gonna think "Well, the killer is using this perk, so I should go heal the other survivor" when you realize it. You'll just heal the original survivor again. That's what BT is like.
-
@GreenPufferFish said:
maybe it still is a hex but still has timer do you think that would be good?
No, that's garbage. What would even be the point of making it a hex if it'll put itself out after a couple minutes? Would you take a perk that permanently deactivated itself after two minutes and could also be disabled by the killer in 14 seconds?
-

Killers already have advantages. They move faster, can see gens, hear rushed actions etc.
Seeing items and playtime is not needed. I can fast swap items last second anyway.
There are killer perks that only make sense to bring if you can see the survivors' items.
PS: You're part of the reason queues are so long. Survivors don't ready up, killers dodge. Equip your items, what are you so scared of anyway?
-
@Kolonite said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1330204#Comment_1330204
That's the point of the perk. If you had read my other comments I literally said DS should have other means to deactivate. Working on a gen or being outside a certain radius. BT is not a broken perk. It's meant to reward you for making a risky play. If they hit the unhooked then it's not an unsafe hook anymore, right? You both got away. NOED is way more broken lmao
Yes, the point of those perks is to provide second-chances for survivors. Punishing the killer for being smart is simply a side-effect.
NOED is much easier to deal with.

This thread is hilarious if you know the history of NOED's nerfs.

nononono. DS punishes YOU for tunneling. That's the point of the perk. It's not rewarding the survivor for getting picked up after getting unhooked lmao. Borrowed punishes YOU for going for the unhooked and not the unhooker. If you're going against good killers you're going to get hit and go down. That's why survivors die after 3 hooks. The game knows they will get hit and hooks. You can't compare losing all your gens and one hitting to a survivor running around injured and not making noise. They are completely different things. I'm also not saying it's unwinnable after the gens are done. I'm saying it is usually a failure on your part if they all get done. Much for than a survivor getting hook/hit. It's much easier to hit a survivor than it is for the survivors to pop gens if you're getting in their way. Also, it can be a win after getting downed by the killer if you ate up enough of their time. The game isn't "Run from the killer and then get away" it's "run from the killer and try and waste his time as my friends do gens so that WHEN he hits and downs me it's worth it"
If DS is meant to punish the killer for "tunneling", why does it activate even after the survivor is healed or if someone else was hooked?
If BT is meant to punish the killer for going after the unhooker, why does it only activate during unsafe unhooks?
They're second-chance perks, nothing more.
-
Why do you think I know it wouldn't be pleasant?
-
@Pigpen said:
Just make survivors bleed out faster. 2 minutes sounds good. It puts more pressure on the survivors to rescue their slugged teammate much sooner, so they can get back into the game. Also is a bit more risky for the killer, a dead slug grants the killer nothing. I always thought 4 minutes was a bit much TBH.
2 minutes is the same as on a hook, though. Maybe 3 would be best.
