We're getting Yun-Jin's outfit my dude
True and i am happy for that but i also really wanted the adam outfit and the meg outfit. I seriously don't get why people want fairytale outfits in what is supposed to be a horror game. I thought people would want outfits similar to how the default looks of the original 4 survivors are.
-
Haddie doesn't sell. The amount of comments i saw from people calling her ugly was a lot. Nobody cares about her lore which obviously was worked hard on.
Then the winter cosmetics poll was done and the set with pastel princess outfits for popular characters won by a landslide vs the set that had realistic outfits for less played characters like yun-jin and adam.
The truth is, the playerbase wants pretty outfits for the same characters rather than more realistic outfits and a more even distribution for the roster.
They are doing the logical thing by releasing outfits for the same characters.
Honestly im just more disappointed the playerbase for the things mentioned above.
Just another layer of toxicity of this wasteland of a game.
-
The great skill check zones don't flash yellow when you hit them, that's what is off.
-
Trapper on groaning storehouse i believe. got a 4k. Match felt perfect. Never really had anything close to it after a few hundred hours
First survivor i was dwight on the game against a doctor who would be revealed to be afk the whole match. I escaped but i was terrifed from occasionally hearing the terror radius. Fun match but yeah... afk killer lol.
I think the best moments with dbd are when you are discovering and learning the game as a whole. It's terrying and surprising. After that i just feel like the game falls apart.
-
Nope.
Perks seem boring to me.
Map did not feel fresh to play on. The layout of the map feels very familiar.
And the new killer power feels very impractical to use.
I'll probably play the winter event but i don't really care for this chapter.
-
It's social manipulation.
People shame the players that are an inconvenience to them in an attempt to punish them for their "bad" behaviour.
Whilst people that put themselves at a disadvantage by using weak characters/perks are seen as "gigachad"
Basically the less of an inconvenience you are to other players the more approval you will get.
-
That's really embarrassing π
-
Nope. I hate to sound depressing but i feel really hopeless at this point.
I also feel like time is going 3x the speed it used to so any opportunity i now have to make a difference is fleeting.
I think, my problem was that i expected too much from life and myself.
-
Honestly i agree with you @thefallenloser. I've been tempted to make a post about it but these responses are why i have chosen not to.
I think the reason why the monetisation in DBD does not get trashed is because dbd started out as a passion project from an indie company, so when these forms of monetisation were established they weren't yet seen as a business trying to make money.
Also i agree with you about the game being pay to win. DS was the best perk in the game for 6 years, and it was only on Laurie. Yes you could get it through shrine but shrine is a very very unreliable way to get perks, it frustrates you into paying up to get what you want.
I think compared to overwatch 2 the monetisation in DBD is extremely excessive. You can get the premium battle pass in ow2 which is a free to play to game for free by collecting coins for 18 weeks, but in DBD the rift pass is completely unobtainable without paying in a 20$ game where half of the perks and characters are also only obtainable by paying.
OW2's monetisation is only trashed because it was a change and people are very adverse to change (just look at how many people refuse to call the cowboy by his new name lol)
Life is a joke π
-
The codes are VOID, RIFT, UNSTABLE, ENERGY
-
Isn't this what happened before fortnite chapter 2?
-
They added reassurance as an anti-camping perk but it's ultimately ineffective, unless you are in a swf and you stack 3 of it.
But even if you can maximise the value of reassurance, gens take 10 seconds longer and killers have deadlock to help them camp. So yeah camping is still a very effective thing unfortunately.

Odd question, but who was your main in ow1? Mine was Roadhog in the later years, but Moira will always be my first true main. Roadhog is still pretty solid, so will probably still play him.
Thanks for asking π
Originally torbjorn but after role queue released i started to play more support and tank, and so i started to main Sigma. He's very strong in overwatch 2 i think so that's cool.

For players like us, who more than likely have a majority of the cosmetics collected after years of playing, not as big deal, but still a lot to be rightfully wary of. Those prices are pretty hefty, especially during what i'd call global inflation. Makes me glad I spent all that time grinding for cosmetics. While the fanbase may be split on the new direction, i'm sure almost everyone can agree that it's good to see the game get new content after such a long hiatus. Whether it was worth the wait...well...i'll let the OW community argue with themselves on that :B. Played much of the WoTB event so far? How you likin it?
Oh yeah i've played the new pve mission quite a few times. It's nice i like it. I hope we get something like that every halloween event that would be great.
-
Yeah. I've been playing since overwatch 1 launch day and i love the gameplay of overwatch 2. It is painful how expensive it is to get cosmetics now but i'd rather get new content every 9 weeks and have no lootboxes instead of have overwatch 1 stagnant forever.
I prefer 5v5 because i find it much easier to process what's happening now, plus tanks feel like juggernauts which i love.
I do think the balance took a big hit, but i'm having more fun than i did with Overwatch 1.

I was sort of curious at one point about their plans to have a full blown PvE campaign mode or the like so you could just play the game solo cooperatively against bots but that never really seems to have gotten into it either.
PvE is coming out next year. They released the PvP early because overwatch 1 was kinda dying.

Hey, it worked. Thanks!
Do you know if the game has any other updated icons that I might not be aware of?
You're welcome π
Afaik the only other thing they updated was some legion add-on icons. That was in 5.7.0, so around april.
-
Delete your icons folder. Then when the game relaunches it automatically recreates it. I had the same issue when they updated legion add-ons. It happened to me because i re-downloaded default icons from DBD Icon Toolbox.
-
Am i understanding this wrong or is this a suggestion to add bond basekit but for both roles?
Survivor would be fine i guess
Killer would be game breaking
-
I can't get any further in the event tome
You can if you do the killer way. Instead of escaping 2 times you can break 15 things, that's what i did.

And another one, good job focussing and correcting me there when it doesn't at much to my point. Sorry for the snarky attitude but neither of those numbers are 100% exact and not the point.
Okay.
Just don't want someone to go in overwatch and be disappointed.
You could use a disclaimer next time. Or estimate lower rather than higher.
-
@burt0r said:
Well the game is incredibly repetitive after facing all of the 28 killer enough times. Maps don't make that much of a difference gameplay wise and there are only so many good perk combinations and them too don't change the gameplay all too much.
In League of Legends i have 150 character with dozens of items, several builds, team setups, lane matchup and so on. (And I basically quit that game also after 10 years)
R6S : 30+ operater per side, each map offers different approaches, team setups, operator matchups
Overwatch: 50+ heroes, with different team setups, multiple game modes.
And even then many people don't stick to those games for 5+ years. DBD is no different but also offers less variety in my mind, so i think it's natural that veterans get fed up over time.
Just a correction, overwatch does not have 50+ heroes. Overwatch 2 has 35 heroes right now but overwatch 1 had 32 heroes for over 2 years.

They should probably be kill switched, but at least they aren't getting burnt.
They don't get burnt on the screen but does that mean it goes back to your inventory?

They say that his new outfit from the rift is completely silent. I still haven't managed to go against him to test if it's op or not.
That would explain how this match ended up how it did. I got 3 gen grabs in this match.

All-Kill and Crescendo reveal. Really sad we didn't get a full version of the trailer music.
You're in luck.
The full music for both of these trailers, for some reason, can be located in the game files of Hooked On You.

I would never give away shards to anyone, they are way too valuable to give to people that i will likely never interact with.

I would like Fire Up to affect hooking speed. It would just be nice.

All-Kill anime pls BHVR
-
Same.
This community wants to punish players for playing efficiently.
Very unhealthy for a gaming community.
-
I'm sorry but this is the truth:
BHVR doesn't care how you feel (ironically)
If this makes more money than other cosmetics they will keep doing it.
Then you will see licensed limited time cosmetics.
It's just business.

Then why does everybody have 2 extra prestige levels when that was meant for the update?
Well i checked mine and my prestige levels haven't changed.

It shouldn't be, it was scheduled for october 11th.
-
I think it's a bug, but if you use lethal pursuer on clown with cigar box, the duration of invigorated actually increases by 2 seconds so that cigar box lasts 2 seconds longer.
-
They will add it. Let's just hope they won't add it again.
Show them that you don't want it by not buying it. Because if people complain about it and buy it anyways they won't care how you feel and will keep doing it.

I am genuinely afraid that this is a test for whole chapters being released as such. A time-limited survivor/killer would just be incredibly greedy and disastrous.
I doubt they would do that, that would be so damaging for the health of the game. I hope they have not become so greedy as to do that though.
-
Probably a new legendary skin.
If they adding him as a character, they would have announced the DLC that he was in today probably.
And this time is the perfect time to add him, so to me it looks like he's gonna be a legendary skin.

I think the skeletal shirts are available for all the survivors except probably the licensed ones.
Hopefully, but i would be suprised if there is, since they all have unique designs.
-
I like your suggestion. Wouldn't work on 2nd stage, but it would be something.
-
It does not.
-
Not proud of it
-
Because it's kind of weak.
Teleport is slow and survivors have so many locks at their disposal - locks ruin any element of suprise you may get.
Remnant is mind-game-able
Nightfall is not on-demand. It charges inconsistently. That's what makes it hard to use.
-
Coffin add-on for myers, allows you to kill survivors in tier 1.

Theory:
She played 2 games, and won both of them as nurse, then switched to a different killer or survivor to play for like 30+ hours. Then she queued up again as nurse. Because she won her 2 games and her k-value for mmr is insanely high (very few games played) it shot her up to 1700 MMR (the cap).
Depending on the starting k-values they use, which for video games tends to be really high like 80-100+ which makes you swing like 200-250 MMR in your first couple of games. And if you start at 1000. It's pretty easy where if you won your first couple of games you'd start getting matched against high level players with lots of hours.
Nah, 0.1 hours means 6 minutes, that was at most her 2nd match.
-
TLDR: You don't enjoy the game bacause of yourself.
That's a toxic statement.
I've seen everything this game has to offer and i am unsatisfied with so many aspects. I play other games where i have pretty much nothing bad to say about them but i don't play them all the time because there's nothing else to see.
DBD can be such a bad experience for some people that they don't want to see what else the game has to offer as they have already seen enough.
For me the main problems are that there is such a lack of variety in the items perks and offerings used. This is where there is so many bad design choices demonstrated.
It's disappointing to see that the devs never seem to improve on these aspects. The devs feel very unprofessional. Sometimes it feels like there is malice in their design choices.

But we already have original characters who don't really have a horror background, and even some licenses as well.
As for the PUBG collab, its likely were getting a charm and they're gonna get some cosmetics. For Honor and DbD last year had a collab because they had an entire halloween event themed around it. The main screen was changed as well as the music, we had a new gamemode which featured the Trapper, executions, cosmetics, and even an event battlepass.
I'm also calling that we're going to get another collaboration here soon but the other way around where this time. A For Honor chapter would absolutely work especially with some of the characters that are in there. Black Prior (Vortiger or Erzebeth), Warmonger (Astrea) or the main antagonist from the story mode, Apollyon. They would be great additions to DbD and while not necessarily horror themed, they would still fall in the same boat as killers like Oni or Deathslinger. Their backstories aren't scary, but them as a whole are what make them frightening and fit to be a killer.
Good point.

No matter how you look at it, its still new content that benefits both parties. I also wouldn't call it "desperate" as its not like they're on a decline
I think it's desperate because they are collaborating with unfitting licenses. Both of these are not horror.
-
For Honor and now this? Where did the original content go. Feels like dbd is desperate for any kind of licensing deal they can get right now.
-
Any time i wanna play this game i feel scared. Scared of cheaters, DDoSers and toxic players. So i haven't been playing lately but i do want to play for the next rift/event. This game is not a game i can play to relax or have fun anymore. It's a game that i wish was good. But it's just not.
