I've never had issues with moderators, the ones that have responded to me are usually chill.
But I've seen people getting the jail thing for speaking their minds

Examples? I don't know which ones are bad

Yes you're so right so many killer buffs that were awful for survivors waited so long to be fixed tbh I think killers are more of a priority than survs
Are you new to the game? Because it does sound like it, DS bug, instant fix in 4 days, nurse bugs, 2018-2020 and still there.
Imagine the nurse nerf being awful for survivors, imagine the billy nerf as well, imagine pig nerfs that for everything she got nerfed, imagine the week when oni was nerf so true, yeah killers get buffs for serious issues, toolboxes needed no brain at all to use now at least they do, insta heals, fair and balanced right? Old BNP, same fair and balanced, no infinites, are you that bad that you abused infinites? Old balanced landing, it was really broken on haddonfield.
So before you say stuff like that for killers see what was broken for survivors first 😉
-
So is that how I got pallet stunned while setting a trap on the other side? I put a trap on the side of the pallet, I vaccumed a survivor outside to the other side and got pallet stunned even when I was blocking the pallet.

Keys: I just play around it.
Moris: I just die trying to not die.

Okay, that actually gave me a chuckle.
And I didn't even think about OoO! Damn, that sounds like a miserable experience...
I made a thread like 2 hours ago about that, it is hell, swf with OoO and no way to find out if they are watching you, 3 hours of constant midwich and OoO for me, this isn't funny and if I use strong stuff I know people will get mad.
OoO right now is dooming me since I can only play 1 killer that I'm good with, can't play trapper, can't play hag, can't play most of the killers I'm good with just Oni.

Survivors need it as well lol
But less, survivors are abusing OoO right now, since killers won't be able to tell the difference between a gen/totem/survivor.
If you mean for regular usage like bond, empathy etc, I can't say, I haven't used bond in a very long time.
But here, I stole this meme from a ps4 group.

Considering how awful it is for both sides I can't fathom anyone willing going there.
Swf that have the advantage with perks love that map because its a really bad map for killers, it is bad for both but when it comes to swf it is slightly better for them.

Considering it's something that killers need...... I'd say..... Wait until 2022 maybe, maybe 2023?

Survivors should not be forced to participate in a match where the killer refuses to play the game
Since survivors cannot disconnect from the game without consequences when a killer decides not to play the game but rather farms points without the intent of killing or slug survivors repeatedly without the intent of killing them, or AFK with the purpose of de-ranking, they should be able to discourage this type of behavior by making it bannable.
And killers should participate in matches they don't want then? I can see your bias, because killers love 4 man swf with smol pp builds and OoO right? It is fun!!!!
-
A perk buff doesn't mean a survivor nerf, a nerf is when the devs rework/tweak something in order to make it weaker, they made lightborn stronger (still not gonna use that perk since I know how to look at walls) but that doesn't mean that flashlights and fire crackers are weaker.
-
I think Wraith only needs 1 thing on cloaked mode, which is being faster without addons, maybe make the yellow windstorm a part of his base kit.
-
I just saved someone with BT against a leatherface, so I'm assuming you didn't wait until a somewhat decent time to save.
-
I only used the ones when I completed the first 2 rifts but since I don't have them anymore I don't use charms anymore like at all.
-
I don't think legacy should be given, I don't have legacy at all, but it is a cosmetic that people worked hard if anything the devs should make an event like legacy, again not legacy but something like it but for more characters.

Personally I never liked that Otzdarva guy, I only ever watched not Otzdarva's videos and I didn't even hear about Otz 'till long after I started watching not Otz.
Lol it's okay. A little break from being serious is nice and appreciated every once in awhile.
I only knew about him because I used to play dark souls (a lot, really a lot) in the old times but this guy Not Otzdarva is really chill and doesn't yell "wat" that often lol

Were they doing a collab or something?

A valid point and very well put, I'm curious myself as well.
So far people believe that Not Otzdarva has been stealing stuff from Otzdarva but since that guy never uploads no one can clearly say, there are many theories but no one knows.
P.S: sorry for being this dumb in a real thread that is asking for serious stuff.

Ok hear me out, when using no mither you have to use a build like this, no mither, self care, inner strength, a medkit, both the syringe and the stiptic agent.

Have not seen it myself yet and i don't run object. Yet have heard a few tales of how killers can barely notice someone using object and didn't even notice they were using the perk until end game. While Survivors can easily notice the killer aura. Will have to look more into this but if this is the case, the one possible downside, to this perk has been lessen. Even if not the case, we still have midwitch and object. Which nothing has been done about that. So a group can all run object, send a killer to mid witch and depending on the killer, might be little to nothing they can do, due to lacking any sort of mobility and due to the map design, can't catch up with the survivors before they move somewhere else.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1488179#Comment_1488179
Yeah like how long did it take them to fix a major bug for Oni? Like over a month, oni players had to risk suffering from a bug that render his power unusable. Which the bug came around during the whole crown event, which somehow giving Oni a crown bugged him up. Not to forget the let x do whatever they want logic, tends to be a bad idea, unless said person has proven in the past they can handle having total freedom. Disney brought up star wars, let Kk do whatever she wants with Star wars, with them bashing the fans, treating them like dirt, telling the fanbase repeatly how they are all awful bad people and just keep on attacking the fanbase over and over again for no reason. Which has lead star war going from a immortal ip that will never die, to people just going whatever and moving onto something else. For disney by letting Kk do whatever she and her lackeys wanted, has damage the star wars brand so greatly, they now have to destroy star wars toys, for they simply can't sell them. Which my point with disney star wars is simple, if you give total freedom to someone and put them above and beyond any sort of criticism or feedback, the results are often poor. Which is why being able to give feed back and good solid legit cricism is healthy. For an idea might sound good on paper or in your head but in reality might turn out to be a rather poor idea and someone might not notice this, until someone else points it out to them.
It is not impossible to see an OoO, it is just really hard now,I can't say if it is harder to see an OoO in midwich because I haven't been on that map in a very long time, running out of azarov keys and mcmillan offerings.
-
Most likely the killers are tired of the constant use of OoO as of now, same as you I can count with 1 hand how many matches I've had without OoO in 5 hours of playing today.
-
Some of the things you learn with time, not on 4 months.
We have killers with a lot of bugs, some maps are the extremely annoying to certain killers because of said bugs like nurse on midwich.
The devs forgot a common saying, if it ain't bad don't fix it.
The auras currently are extremely bad for killers but are okish for survivors, currently object of obsession is probably used more because killers in certain maps can't see the survivor but they can see you, the perk is really strong and annoying but people that used it knew that it had a counter which was tunneling out of the match, now with the new auras, OoO has the upper had by a lot.
The negativity towards the devs are because they mostly think for one side instead of both.
-
He is still kinda close to what he was.
Pros to the old PTB billy.
1. He no longer overheats by existing.
2. The roar is good but gets annoying imo
3. You can still curve but for some reason controller sensitivity doesn't affect curving anymore.
4. His UR addons need tweaks because if I wanted to use speedlimiter I would use speedlimiter.
Cons to regular old Billy.
1. His animations are bad imo
2. A bad Billy should never use double engravings.
3. Most of the new addons lie on the description.
4. Most addons are bugged.
He is still good but the animation changes were too much for me, since I don't facecamp with him I don't see the overheat mechanic as a nerf since it doesn't affect normal billies, he is so much better now than he was during the PTB but worse than old Billy.

Nope, just her add-ons. But most of us thought the same about Billy, so get ready for Huntress to have 4 basekit hatchets and a slightly longer reload time.
Don't forget a cooldown to the hatchets, and if she holds her hatchet for a few seconds after the fully charged, she will get a cramp and won't be able to throw hatchets for 60 seconds.

Yeah the only time i can think of that anyone runs both iron maiden and bbq. Is huntress players or one doctor player. That and by the time a killer normally gets to the place where someone jump out of a locker, they are a long gone or b by the time they get there, the expose effect has wore off, for most killers lack any sort of mobility or the survivor has gotten into a strong position, for they are aware of the effect. Going with the idea they are healthy. Like a survivor would have to play stupid or very unlucky, to get down due to iron maiden.
Yeah Myers has no aura reading and i'm rather sure burger king Myers add ons cancel each other out, leading to there being no aura reading. Which scratched, vanity mirror do grant aura reading for Myers but come at the cost of slower movement speed. Making him easier to loop than a clown. While denying him the ability to one hit down survivors. Which also only work well on certain maps. Leading to there needing to be good rng or a map offering for it to work.
Which yeah, if a killer is staying around the hook until someone reaches stage 2. Something has gone wrong. The survivors are not doing gens and rewarding this action or made it a very good idea for the killer to do, due to everyone swarming the hook at once. Which funny enough, some say camping and tunneling is everywhere. Yet from the majority of survivor games i play, i rarely see it. What i do notice, is survivors acting stupid, way more than i see the killer doing something that some would label scummy. Many people hate camping and tunneling, even with it not being against the rules. Yet here we are, with someone demanding a nerf to bbq. A perk that promotes and rewards a killer for not tunneling and camping. If bbq gets nerf, the next perk on the chopping block would be thrilling tremors from ghostface. Due to it granting information as to which gens are being worked on and if we go with the op reasoning, allows the killer to secretly know where the survivors are and which gens they are on, if they don't let go of the m1. Which "ruins immersion".
Which the immersion part, has to be the most questionable bit about the logic behind please nerf bbq by making it even easier to counter than it already is. When in truth, the op idea behind it would just make it worst for survivors, since it will stop them from doing their current action, which could be getting rid of something like devour hope. Which if we look at the term immersion. It's normally used to talk about survivors who hide all bloody game, denying the killer the one interaction he/she has with survivors, the thrill of the chase, the thrill of the hunt. It only takes 400 seconds or around 6 minutes to finish all gens, if done solo. A killer simply does not the benefit of time on their side. They would ideally, if they want to win, want to find a survivor and get them down asap and if luck should benefit them or the survivors mess up, get a few others injured as well, to keep them busy healing and off gens for a bit. For time is on the survivor's side, which is why a killer simply cannot afford to play long games of hide and seek with the survivors. Leading to any perks buying the killer more time or can help to end chases quickly, often being meta, like pop or save the best for last. For the more the killer can slow down the game just a little bit, the more time they have to kill off a survivor and start to snowball from there. Heck even if a killer doesn't care about winning and just wants to chase people around, well if the survivors are super good at immersion, the killer is not getting to do the one thing they enjoy, the thrill of the chase and hunt. That and a killer secretly knowing where the survivors are. Like has the op read the lore behind ghostface for this game? It's all about studying their victims and knowing them like the back of their hand, as they craft the perfect murder, while not leaving behind a trace. For if we are bringing up the immersion factor, well not every killer has the same lore or backstory. For some, bbq would be very much fitting for someone like ghostface, in terms of studying and slowly learning everything they can about their next victim, without them knowing a thing until it's to late, is rather fitting. So the immersion card sounds like poor reasoning to use, without taking into account the other side aka the killers. That and with the way auras are, you can barely see jack with bbq right now, i think most would swap out it for something else, due to how bad the auras are.
I can't agree more with you, and same here, I rarely see campers, most killers I play against either just look around and if nothing happens, they just go away fast which makes me wonder if I'm lucky or people think that everything that a killer does is camp.
-
I got back today when the update came out, I'm taking a new break as well, this is not funny, I can't see totems, gens, auras etc.
Bhvr really did it this time, let's just wait to see if they are going to fix it or it will stay and make survivors overuse OoO.
-
I'm not color blind afaik, but it is really damn difficult to see auras, it makes me really sad for you guys/gals that can't see auras at all, currently it's almost impossible to see something with bbq and OoO is the doom for all killers since they can barely see you but you can barely see them.
Hopefully bhvr listens and reverts the aura changes and add a colorblind option for you.
-
Yup, I got it, I don't know what it is.

But none of that matters if it only affects killers

Notice how 95% of those bugs you mentioned affect killers. If a bug affects survivors it'll be patched like the next day. Unless it positively affects survivors like the Wake Up speeding up all actions bug.
Case in point:
I remember that DS got fixed in less than a week but nurse's bugs have been here since her rework, they gotta fix their priorities before they fix killer issues.

What’s wrong with huntress she’s like my second “main.”
Sometimes when you are aiming she will aim lower, basically if you want to shoot right in front of you, you will have to aim lower.
Just had a new bug!!! Amazing!!! I had the camera stuck behind me, as if I was playing resident evil 4
-
So far I've found over 6, T-posing Pig, huntress not being able to see gens, words appear on top of gens (according to the killer I just played against), huntress aims wrong, plague aims wrong, addon errors on Billy, Nancy is bugged (looks really damn funny), and lastly still no footstep sounds

Her animations just become... broken
when she is hooked her neck and arm breaks and when she is healthy or injured her head is turned slightly to the side, when she heals someone she looks up and in general she looks dead. Try killer and hope for an OoO on ormond, come back then say the same.
Had a match where I couldn't see the OoO even when she was staring at me.
-
Wait until you get an OoO, just had one 2 matches ago, yeah these new auras are damn bad

Because if you have never noticed, it is fair for survivors to change into OoO with a key but if the killer changes is a no no, maybe you have never noticed but these devs really care for survivors, they don't care for killers

1 lockers aren't safe thanks to iron maiden and aren't in every corner of the map.
2 not every generator can you hide at the perfect angle to not be seen.
3 distortion won't be good until you have a way to get stacks back since Myers can get rid of 3 stacks in just as many seconds and that's without bbq.
4 sure, stay close by but I've then seen killers circle around the hook till the survivor hits at least phase 2
5 that's the obvious one and killers predict it a lot if they are smart
6 is valid but has just as many issues as 5.
And for the person who said that if only Ds and dh were as easy to counter imagine. The thing is those are super easy. Dh is all about the mindgame make them pop it early and you're gold and ds don't be a tunneling dick and you're gold and if you aren't being tunnely they just ran at you in the middle of a different chase finish that chase first
1.Iron maiden OP is next I guess
2. You can hide behind almost every gen from almost every angle.
3. I'm not sure Myers works like that unless he has BK myers.
4. Run away if he is doing that, punish him

Currently I feel that it's bad, but not balance wise, I think currently it's the easiest it has been in a very long time, bug wise, I just hate it, can't use nurse without bugs, oni once you hit with your dash you are looking at the opposite side, billy has the animation bug, audio bugs everywhere, so if the bug happens free iron will, free balanced landing without the dash and no step sounds amazing right?
This is something I told another community before, from every step they go forward they step backwards 3 times.

I'm baffled, if BBQ is so easily countered and doesn't disrupt the gameplay of every survivor, then why do I face it 85% of the time?
My loadout is typically... Dead Hard / Spine Chill / Lightweight / Borrowed time. If I have them.
Sometimes I try to run... Mettle of Man / Breakout / Dead Hard / Inner Strength. I usually don't get MoM to proc and I cheer for joy if Breakout actually helps!
Because everyone loves double bloodpoints, most of the killers I use have bbq even though it's not worth it with them, like trapper, hag, pig, deathslinger.
Just because you see it often doesn't mean it's OP.
You say that you have to play around it then that makes it op, imagine a killer, if there is 1 DS there is an obsession and you have to play around 4 DS just in case.

That sounds like it was a good time, I seriously wish more rounds were like this. Hope you meet those guys again, and I hope I get to meet them too.
One of them added me but I don't play on PS4 anymore, hopefully you get matches like that, you see that there are still people playing for fun with friends, I tried copying that on PC recently with my brother but the killer called me a scumbag for sandbagging my brother.
-
A 4 man swf once sent me a msg before the match started on ps4, to farm, they got all the points they could, I got all the points I could, then later on we started playing Simon says, I was standing up in a hill with ghostface, teabagged twice, they teabagged twice, I looked left right left right, they copied me, if one made a mistake they told me to hit them, it was the funniest match I ever had in the almost 2 years of playing this game, kinda heartwarming.

Dead Hard is not OP, it's the only tool survivors have to counter body blocking scenarios. Since we can't get two exits from the basement, I use Dead Hard for exactly that.
DS may be OP, I'm up for suggestions to make it better, maybe only activates after a harder circumstance is met?
How long have you been playing? With dedicated servers dead hard is used for distance most of the time, it helps people loop more, I don't think it's op but extending something or helping them get to a pallet is strong, not OP but strong.
I really don't see why someone would complain about BBQ since it has so many counters.
