"BBQ is in the minds of every survivor, every game, whether the killer has it or not."
You mean like Dead Hard and Decisive Strike are in the minds of every killer, whether the survivor has it or not.
I'm a solo survivor and I usually hide on a locker when I see someone is downed. Imagine DS and DH being this easy to counter.

its not just when they’re on the floor. I play survivor and if Im injured my survivor makes no sounds. However I dont know if thats just for me or if others players can still hear my survivor or not.
For everyone, when I play Dwight sometimes I get no falling sound and no injured sound and no footstep sound, once a killer asked if I had IW because no sound at all coming from me and I had the no perk bug on me.
So yeah, everyone won't hear you, not killers and not survivors if you get that bug.
-
Or, or, or as soon as the survivor gets hooked go to one side and count to 4 then double back, I know this sounds impossible to do because BBQ is that OP.
s/
-
The devs are making an early game start, while it is another bandaid it should help.
But I really don't think gen time is bad, I actually think it is on a good spot, what I hope happens is that more maps should get reworked and try to make maps balanced for both sides.
What I suggest for facecamping (being 15m away while staring and not leaving the survivor unless the killer is on a chase right there) is if the killer is actually face camping increase gen speed for survivors, no one likes facecampers and this is coming from a killer main, I don't get why people enjoy actually face camping.
-
Dwight for a simple reason, I use glasses irl.
-
Because if DS gets nerfed you will see more survivors losing their rank.
I just want a tweak to it, nothing else, I think DS could be great if "survivor actually being tunneled they keep DS forever but if you do an action like healing/doing a gen then it gets removed" because the fact that they are doing objectives means that they are already prepared to continue the match.
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
lol and they say survivors give killers too many rules.
That is not a rule though.
From what I understand the OP wants survivors to leave faster so he can queue up again in another match.
And c'mon, I've been told by many survivors not to use whispers, bbq, brutal strength, legion with thana, discordance, M&A, new ruin/old ruin, pop, TT, basically all the perks that are good/helpful.
Just my POV.
-
I'm currently taking a break on dbd, I got burnt out and been meaning to come back for like a week but I need something right now, a reason to come again because coming back again to get ######### talked almost every match gets old and boring.
But don't get me wrong I love this game
-
The only reason why I would like a "SWF icon" is to bring something equal as addons, I don't want to play as a trapper against a SWF because if one knows about your traps, everyone knows about it.
But playing against a SWF helps you get better at the game faster, it was worse before when I started, I remember the classic 3 real red ranks and 1 brown rank vs a Baby killer (me), with real insta heals, real infinites but I guess we all are different and have different opinions.
-
This is something that will help you, but this was something I was doing a few months ago before the sensitivity patch, on console you have to be almost 2 (I want to say around 1.75) bodies away from the wall in order to use the chainsaw effectively.
On certain other loops like let's say tractor, it is really hard to kill a survivor without an engraving or engravings.
You can also try double steering addons which I believe are the spiked boots and the moonshine to curve a lot easier.

It Just seems like most really good Billy's can make amazing turns. Not even at the beginning of the sprint. I was getting a bit better with my last game. So maybe it'll improve with practice. I'm just not really sure how they do it.
Maybe you have the same issue I had back when I started with Billy, don't look at the survivor when trying to use the chainsaw, try looking at the bar as much as possible, think of the loop you want to use the chainsaw, spiked boots are really good for practicing BUT I suggest trying addon less.
There is this little trick, it will be hard to learn overnight, but practice killer shack with him, instead of trying to curve like on pc, learn how to space between the walls.
-
Once I gave hatch and the survivor said that it was the only thing I did right because I was playing like an ahole.
I give hatch depending on my mood or if DC's or something else.
-
@thrawn3054 said:
So I finally decided to try for his adept. Got it on my second try. But my question is how do so many console Billy's manage to turn so effectively? I ran spiked boots, which helped. But I still feel pretty clunky trying to turn. Any advice would be appreciated.
I used to main Billy on ps4, you can actually kinda flick with a controller, as soon as he starts moving turn left or right with right stick, after that, it all comes with practice, he is fun to use so you will learn fast.
I can't really give tips considering I don't know what issues you have with him, other thing you can do is get used to 100% sensitivity

Is anybody else excited to see their team get tunnelled by a bunch of baby Hags? This is going to be the worst one yet.
It will be funny but if people find out how powerful she is, this tome will create a lot of monsters and this forum will be all about nerfing hag.

ahh, I see TY.
I guess it could just be another case of DBD being DBD.
Exactly what I thought.
Thanks everyone, I just got unlucky but I guess I can live without that mask.

@WeenieDog said:
I still have mine and erased DGBH a bit after they said the veteran was a bit too strong and gave her 10% damage nerf (that didn't alter any break points, so she was still exactly the same.)
I did notice that it isn't in the steam store anymore. Maybe whether it was purchased or downloaded after it went free matters.
Maybe it does matter if it was bought or downloaded for free, it weirded me out and I really liked that mask.

I thought BK Myers was 4.2 speed, but damn also yeah, BK Myers is really weak so I don't get why they must feel the urge to say "EZ"
-
New record? I think this time it took around a month for someone to complain about bbq and chilli because it is "too strong"
I don't use BBQ for the aura reading unless I'm playing nurse, billy, oni or huntress, I use it for the double bp.
Imagine a tryhard trapper with bbq!!! So strong!!!!
-
@tykelley said:
Should I at least try nurse or is she too hard
She is very hard to master, if you really are new I wouldn't use her at all until you get the hang of the game first.
But if you have all DLC or a few killers, I suggest learning wraith since he will teach you the fundamentals of playing killer, if you have leatherface level him up so you can get BBQ and chilli.
If you don't care about my opinion on nurse, I will let you know right now, you will most likely lose every match unless you are playing against potatoes, she is the hardest to learn but she is the strongest killer in the game.

ok. little weird they confirm on the switch and ######### stadia of all things and not xbox where their game is literally free.
I have no idea about microsoft but I know sony is stingy af, bhvr might be having issues trying to add the crossprogression data because of that
-
@MongolPSR said:
Just read a forum post saying that cross progression was canceled. is this true? Cause frankly that's a big deal breaker for me. I wanted to make the switch to pc but don't want to lose all my progress, if there's no cross progression then damn I have no motivation to really play.
As far as I know, cross progression so far has been confirmed to pc, switch, stadia, no ps4, xbox1 yet
-
I have a friend on the same boat as you, he never bought any dlc for this game but not even with shards.
If you can't afford a dlc get killers via shards or wait for the shrine to have decent perks.
gl on that though since the shrine usually has bad perks.
-
Overall I think huntress is better.
She can easily down more survivors faster.
She has more snowball potential BUT DS is better and ending a chase faster.
I'm a pretty bad deathslinger that is the reason why I say that.
-
I think BT is fine, I hate how people use it though, body blocking so the killer doesn't go for the unhooker while it doesn't seem much, it is a bad tactic, then if you want for BT to ran out and down the survivor again, you will have a spicy endgame chat.
Body blocking with BT and DS doesn't reward good plays, it rewards dumb plays.
I'm easily a 80-20 killer main player and I understand why BT exists.
-
Don't you know that if the killer is on the same map as survivors they are already camping and tunneling?
-
I think playing solo helps you more, I mostly play solo survivor when I play survivor and has helped me not rely on teammates at all, since I have no friends that play this game I just play to win but solo, it is harder sure but it will make you better on the long run that being said.
I hate when my teammates don't feel like doing anything, a few hours ago, I was playing survivor, did 3 gens, middle gen to prevent 3 gens, looped the killer for a few min, wasted 2 pallets, killer wasn't the best, he was mindgaming way too much, easily I wasted around 6 min of his time, not a single gen popped, killer caught me and I got facecamped.
On the bright side, no one escaped, my teammates didn't deserved to escape at all.
-
I don't think it works like that, right now there is no way to transfer cosmetics between accounts.

There's an exploit where a certain file can be read that will basically tell you what Killer the player you're facing is using.
It's a PC only thing.
Wow, I think that is BS, people shouldn't really abuse files to know what killer you are playing.
Thanks for the info and hopefully that gets patched soon.
-
@TheRockstarKnight said:
Are you on PC?
Yup, I came to PC around 3 months ago but been playing this for a decent amount of time.
-
It's a very common visual bug that happens when the killer is swapping killers on the ready up menu.
-
Try not getting stalked? It takes a long time to use it so you or your teammates are getting stalked way too much
-
I think gen speeds are fine, as a killer main, I would prefer 4 people stacking on 1 gen than all 4 doing 1 each that is for sure.
What I think the game needs now is to make certain maps smaller and less tedious to protect like haddonfield's Laurie's house, the saloon gen, hawkins upstair gen and the one in the portal room.
There are maps that need some kind of shrinking but not to the point of making it harder for survivors but to make it easier for killers to be able to protect the gen before it's too late.
-
So you stayed near the hook at endgame and you were called out? What did the survivors expect you to do? Leave and go to a corner?.
This is why I hope people learn both sides before they talk ######### like that, after all gens are done the killer has nothing to do, if one is on the hook what can the killer do? The killer will try to secure at least 1 kill.
I suggest just ignoring chat, close it or just don't answer.
-
What is a stadia? /s

Aimbot won't even work for huntress as well. The projectiles are not hit scan so its a great thing if you manage to win a game with aimbot on. It only deters you from predicting shots.
Maybe I misunderstood, but I have never used aimbot, people accused me of aimbotting when I'm just a decent huntress.
Maybe both of us got confused by the way I typed it.
-
Aimbot huntress here, that is the only thing that people have accused me off.

Yeah my bad! as soon as I hit publish I noticed I missed Oni!!
Oni seems pretty interesting, but again I'm worried about the mechanics with controller, but I won't know until I play him lol
Get Oni, he is easier to use with a controller than M&K
-
@Sir_Child1234 said:
can we remove some of the bamboo and grass on the spirit and oni's maps going against a team of Clauds is just so boring they only hide and you need to find them you need to hear the survivors but if they have iron will your screwed i can barley find scratch marks sometimes, i don't know if it is just a me problem or if their are more people that have problems with finding scratch marks on this map.
Set your settings to low, it might help you a bit.
But I know what you mean, sadly the most effective way to play those maps as survivor is to be stealthy most of the times.

Perhaps, lower the cooldown will be good enough
For babysitter, perhaps give no grunts of pain and haste status, it's already a trash of a perk to run anyways
Probably yeah something like that.
I also want a buff for We are gonna live forever, maybe for each safe unhook the survivor gets a slightly buff to healing and unhooking, kinda like leader but better.
-
I like the idea of surge getting a buff, but the thing is, imagine using it on a really strong killer, it might be too good.
In fact I like most of these buffs, I would like to change babysitter because it is just that bad, but I can't think of a good buff to it.
-
As someone who has mained oni since he came out, there are a lot of ways to counter him, just try to deny early hits as much as possible, if the oni has his power try staying in LT walls, shack and long walls.
If the oni is using infectious fright (which most onis use) as soon as he downs someone, go to a safe spot not in the open like most people do.
-
Yeah no, as an Oni main that was a Billy main back a year ago, I don't want more nerfs to the killers I like, tell her to pre drop pallets, that is a really uncalled for nerf.
-
Wait until you get the no sound from footsteps or the free iron will bug.

SCP is pretty hard to explain, I'll leave you with this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6QVvBIBZLc
I agree with the sentiment. It seems like a lot of people don't care about the other side and are ultra stubborn.
I will watch it in a bit.
And yeah I wish people played both sides more often to see why people play like how they play, you often see killers being mean and you wonder why? And sometimes you see survivors also being mean.
But once people play both sides more often you will see why people are like that, when I play survivor I usually throw the match by trying to use MoM that is 1/4 survivors not doing anything, so 3 have to work harder because of me being an idiot and trying to use a dumb perk.
But when I play survivor and the killer didn't get a kill I let the killer kill me to at least get a few points, it feels bad playing good and not doing anything at the same time, so I understand him in fact some killers have added me on steam because of that.
When I play killer survivors see if I'm having a bad match and I expect a little bit of mercy, but get nothing but free hits, which it ain't bad.
End of my unrelated comment is, I just wish people were more kind in game to the other side, most people seem to forget that there is someone behind the monitor who for all we know might have a bad day.
-
If you don't mind an unrelated question, what is SCP?.
To the actual post, yeah I include myself to the kind that thinks this is a survivor sided game but that is the reason why I play this game, because your side is weaker and you have to rely on yourself to make it shine.
I really hate it when people can't tell you a valid reason as to why "x side is stronger and needs a balance" or "X side is toxic but X side is fine" I'm just saying things based on my experience on this game.

Dont worry I just leveled up freddy with a plenty of ebony moris for another laurie and whole team that also told me I was trash.(SWF obviously)
Freddy against OoO is not the way to go, if they are oblivious they will be able to see you at any distance, if you do remember to use the blindness addon against OoO that way you will see them and they won't see you.
-
Wraith and pig are unfair? Out of curiosity how long have you been playing?
-
That is why I apologized when I did my adept laurie.
OoO needs major tweaks or needs to have major drawbacks, that perk is just annoying on a lot of levels.
I hate playing trapper against OoO, I suggest learning the names of the survivors just in case you see them again then just bring a fair and balanced irri hatchet with soldier belt since they don't care if you as the killer is having fun.
-
About 200 total.
