because it makes the game extremely unfun. very cool to just lay on the ground for ages and do nothing
At the end of the day of the survivors are the killers opponents in a PVP game, it isn't the killers responsibility to provide the survivors with a fun game. Likewise it isn't the responsibility of the survivors to provide a killer with a fun game.
The only person responsibility whether you have a fun game or not, is you.

The way you’re describing it is not the type of slugging people are upset about. They’re meaning the toxic killer types who only slug and try for all 4 right away so nothing gets done. It’s a tactic I suppose but a very unfun one.
If the survivors presents an opportunity for me to down all four survivors, as they're all in one area, I will try and down them all at once. In my opinion that isn't toxic that's just me trying to win the game.
In the games current state if the survivor team presents an opportunity for the killer to gain a significant advantage, the killer can't afford to let it slip by.

Yeah but that's more of a faux main rather than a true main if you see someone in rainbow six who say they main two specific operators on att and def they won't deviate
A "true main" as you describe is known as a one trick.
In Dead by Daylight it's good to play as both roles as it helps you understand how your opponent thinks. You'll be able to predict what the killer or survivor is going to do better, as well as having a higher chance at winning mind games.
When I play survivor I play better against the killers that I often play as, as I know their strengths and limitations first hand.

@Cronk said:
How can you say you are a main of survivor if you are red rank killer. Mains of something only play whatever they main nothing else.
I'm a rank 1 survivor as well, I play both sides but I'm a much better survivor then I am as a killer. I've probably put more hours into survivor then I have into killer, so I am a survivor main. Survivor mains can play killer, killer mains can play survivor.
For example when i played Overwatch I was a Reinhardt main, but I could also played as other heroes.

Thank you, I can tell you put a lot of effort into this I appreciate this a lot.

I'm a survivor main and i think that the new ruin is pretty ass. I'm a red ranked survivor and the gens go bye bye in literally less than 2-3 minutes. It's unfun for both survivor and killer because the games go by so fast so we can't really do anything lol. I get why the devs nerfed it because it had a positive and negative impact on matches and it made it easier for newer players but like if we learned to combat ruin i'm pretty sure they could too. Since the ruin nerf survivor queues have been longer than before the ruin nerf and its probably because killers don't want to load into a match and then get gen rushed 2 seconds later. Please bring old Hex: Ruin: back.
I'm the opposite I'll probably stop playing killer if old ruin comes back, I'm having a lot of fun playing with the Surveillance and new Ruin combo. I never used ruin until it's "nerf".

i've been playing survivor mainly since the update and i hate it still.. i did a gen with 4 people on spawn (public match with randoms) someone had prove thyself and a bnp.. the gen popped within 20 seconds. Tell me how that's fair?
If all the survivors were working on one gen they weren't being efficient with their time. Most effective thing to do as survivor is to work on separate generators, as it makes it harder for the killer to provide generator pressure.

Personally I would say The Doctor.
His lore confirms he was a sadistic individual who enjoyed inflicting prolonged pain on his victims. He relished performing torturous acts upon people, excited by their suffering.
Whilst Freddy is a close second being a child killer, The Doctor gets the top spot for his overall methods of murder.
Who do feel is the most evil DBD killer?
Instead of making your own discussion you could have just replied to my one.
@Nutty_Professor said:
So which killer do you believe was the most evil before they were taken by the entity? I'm not including licensed characters in this discussion as Freddy and Myers would probably be the most obvious winner.
For me I think the Doctor and the Clown were the most evil and sadistic before they were taken by the entity. The Oni, Frank (The Legion), and Ghostface were evil as well but in my opinion not on the level of Clown and the Doctor.
The Hillbilly was more due to neglect and an abusive upbringing.
The Nurse and the Huntress did terrible things but I think it was due to their mental health then anything.
I wouldn't class the Wraith, the Hag, the Spirit, the Plague as, they were just victims of unfortunate events.
I don't know about the Trapper, he killed a lot of people but he was heavily influenced by his father.
Comment your opinions.

Define unskilled killers. If you mean by unskilled killers, killers that make some mistakes then most are. The way I see it, there is way less room now for killers to make mistakes which is why it’s so stressful to play as killer. However everyone makes mistakes and the fact you get punished so heavily as killer for making one, especially when comparing to survivors is making it unbalanced. Just my view on it.
I agree, whilst I'm a survivor main, I'm a red rank on both sides. In most of the games I lose as killer I can pinpoint the moment that cost me the game. Even just missing one swing can cost you the game.
Whilst as survivor unless I get facecamped for the mistake I make, a single mistake won't cost me the game.

Herman was a literal torturer, and did unsanctioned experiments on unwilling participants in relation to mind control. I'd say that HE is the worst.
Kennith simply killed people and took their fingers after gassing them. Still a little bit of torture, but nothing in relation to Herman.
Max Thomspon Jr. is literally "Child Neglect 101"
Sally just snapped after DECADES of workplace abuse. Most realistic story, yes, but not horrific. Just tragic.
Anna is just an 8yro girl (mentally......) who's just trying to survive and protect other little girls.
Phillip is just wrong place, wrong time, Lisa just resorted to dark magic in a desperate time, Rin was literally a victim, Adiris was just unfortunate.
Evan is an interesting one, though. Throughout his Archives, we see him slowly being moulded by his father's actions. I haven't finished them all at time of writing, but I'm most of the way through. It doesn't seem like he's overly evil, but overly strict and cruel by demanding too much for too little.
Yeah I would say Herman is the worst, with the Clown in second place. I've watched Herman's archive video, I couldn't watch the majority of it.
With Evan I always got the impression that he was just a young man trying to please his father who he idolized. Although in his background story it implies that Evan lead about hundred miners into the mine, before he detonated explosives causing the mine to collapse, due to his father requesting him to do it.

Because of how quickly he finds survivors and how much madness he spreads, while makes healing extremely hard and his terror is either "big like big ben" or "small like ninja`s fanbase average age" survivors are also extremely confused and get downed easily. He quickly makes all survivors either leave their team dying or leave generators and try to recover their teammates, which is almost impossible because *-50% healing in TR + mangled + madness everywhere*.
I`m not explaining this well, you just should try this for yourself. First games may be a bit hard if you are not used to slug games, but once you understand the tactic, survivors are very unlikely to escape.
Trust me I have no issues with slugging.
I haven't censored the names as it's not really name shaming, besides if anything I'm the one being the scummy one in this image (although I don't see anything wrong with slugging).

I understand dead hard is a situational perk that activates when the survivor is injured, but having it activate every time the survivor is injured is very unfair, especially when multiple survivors run it. It should be like DS where you can only use it once. So many survivors have escaped thanks to using die hard multiple times in the game.
I play at red ranks as both a survivor and as a killer, in it's current state Dead Hard in it's current state takes some level of skill to be used properly. There's many red rank survivors that don't know how to use Dead Hard properly.
If you expect a survivor to have Dead Hard just wait it out, then hit them after they used Dead Hard.

To be honest slugging is the result of the survivor team's incompetence. Slugging only happens when the survivor team allows themselves to be slugged, due to poor positional.
As a survivor main I have no issues with slugging.

I'm a Hillbilly main, I play a lot of Leatherface too. What I like to do is when a survivor gets to a pallet, I'll rev my chainsaw if they drop the pallet I'll happily continue the chase, if they keep running I might start considering switching targets.

Then might as well remove the hatch entirely because your suggesting definitely is killer sided. There's literally no reason to implement such a change in the game, hatch is fine as it is right now.
Not really the killer would only have the aura advantage if there was five or four gens remaining.
-
@Marcavecunc said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1031783#Comment_1031783
It still would be too killer-sided though. And as someone who plays both sides, it's really a matter of finding it first when it opens.. Having the killer see where the hatch spawned (even when it's still closed, for a few seconds) would give them a huge advantage if they're already doing well.
Again I don't think you read my suggestion at all.
My suggestion relates to the scenario when three survivors are dead, and there's only one survivor remaining, the hatch spawns no matter how many generators have been repaired.
So when the killer would see the aura of the hatch, is when the killer sacrifices the second to last survivor with five or four gens remaining. If the killer sacrifices the second to last survivor with three generators remaining, the killer would not see the hatch.
It might be killer sided when there are five or four generators remaining, but the killer would have earned that advantage by preventing the survivors from completing their objective.

The suggesting you made without knowing how the game mechanics work and made two pages long for apparently no reason? Yeah that suggestion is bad. And even if the suggestion was "show the killer the hatch aura for 5 seconds when it appears in the game" it would still be a bad idea. Why? Cause part of the game is seeing who will find it first. If you want the killer to see the hatch then have them waste a perk slot for it, to work exactly like "left behind".. Or, you know, leave it the way it is.
I've played this game for nearly two years at red ranks on both sides I know how the game mechanics work. I find that insulting to be honest.
Before end game collapse the hatch would not even spawn if there was five or four generators remaining. I think killers should have some advantage of finding the hatch if there are still five or four gens remaining, as a reward for preventing the survivors from completing their objective.
My suggestion has nothing to do with it being a perk, that's what other people have suggested in the discussion.

No killers won't be able to remember where the hatch spawn is because the hatch would not have spawned.
Does the hatch spawn currently spawn at the start of the game? No it doesn't.

@thehotdogman93 said:
I'll start off by saying that I am a (supposedly) killer main myself.
When I first read your discussion title, I had to disagree with what it said, but after reading through your whole discussion, I think I see what you're trying to say, but you need to be clear on a couple of things.
1.Are you talking about 'as long as there are 4 - 5 generators remaining'? This would let the killer see the hatch at the beginning of the game and I disagree with this. The killer would memorize where it's at, and go to it even if there was one only gen left and it came down to a 1v1.
2. Or do you mean, 'as long as there are 4 - 5 generators remaining AND the hatch is open'? This is interesting because it forces the survivors to do at least 2 gens before they use a skeleton key. Otherwise, the killer is going to see the hatch as soon as it opens, which allows the killer to step in and take action against a super early hatch opening.
3. Or finally, do you mean 'as long as there are 4 - 5 generators remaining and there's only one player left'? This seems like it could be a legitimate feature of the game but it may be too late at that point because of the possibility that the last survivor decided to search for the hatch while letting his teamate die, and by the time you see the hatch's aura, it's already GG for him. This could still be usefull if the last survivor didn't search for the hatch in the first place.
If you think about it, there's so many different things you can do when it comes to giving the killer an aura of the hatch. Make it normal perk, or a hex perk. Or maybe add a distance requirement just like in bill's version. Change the amount of players that need to be alive, or change the amount of generators that still need to be inactive for the ability to activate.
There's so much potential in this and I'm glad you brought this up.
I might need to edit my main post. What I meant is that when there is only one survivor left and the hatch spawns, if there are still four or five generators left the aura of the hatch would reveal itself to the killer.
This would create an incentive for survivors to complete at least two generators, as if the survivors complete at least two generators before the last survivor dies, the killer won't be able to see the aura of the hatch. Giving the last survivor a higher chance to find the hatch.
With the killer being able to memorize the hatch location at the start of the game would not be an issue, because the hatch would not have spawned yet.
-
@DocFabron said:
Um no. Nice try with the survivor main thing though.
It just isn't fair. If killer finds hatch, he deserves to have the odds stacked in his favor. If the survivor does, they may potentially deserve the escape (as sometimes a good survivor is stuck with bad teammates)
I am a survivor main. Just because I can see the inbalances on the survivor side doesn't make me a killer main.
How is it not fair?
I've played the game since July 2018, before the end game collapse the hatch would not spawn until the there was three generators left. If you were the last survivor and there was five or four gens left, the hatch did not spawn. At least with my suggestion the survivor still has a chance of getting the hatch.
In my opinion no matter how good the survivor is if the survivor team were unable to do two generators, then no survivors on that survivor team deserves to escape.
Considering I'm Devotion four, if I'm a killer main why I'm I prestiging my survivors?
-
There is a rift challenge that you needed to heal yourself with self care.
Self care in it's current state is only good if you have an early disconnect, if you're just trying to keep yourself alive for as long as possible and to try and at least safety pip (very rare circumstances). Otherwise it's more beneficial to work on generators and to get a team mate to heal you when convent.

I give you Haddonfield, but Haddonfield is still is broken even with the balance landing nerf. It's just one massive loop for good survivors, the killer can't really do much about it.
Hawkins was still killer sided even with old balance landing.
My opinion on balance landing, is that it was the maps that needed changing not the perk. Then again I haven't been a fan of the recent maps.
EDIT: The main part of my post was that new players shouldn't be calling for nerfs until they understand the game. my opinion on balance landing was just a side note. I mentioned it was just my opinion.

Before its nerf, it had some loops as literal infinites. It was seriously powerful, and in the right hands one of the best exhaustion perks. Where it is at currently is 100% fine.
Balance landing is still a good perk, just not as good as other exhaustion perks. Do you think it's better then sprint burst, dead hard, and Adrenaline?
Yes, balance landing was one of the best exhaustion perks in the game, it was my favourite perk ever since I first got to red ranks in 2018 before it's nerf.
Before the balance landing nerf I didn't use to mind playing on Hawkins, as my balance landing made up for how strong it was for the killer. Hawkins is now one of my least favourite maps to play on as survivor (not keen on Hawkins as killer either as I'm a Hillbilly main).
I play at red ranks on both sides (currently more as killer).

@ToxicClaud said:
Does anybody else think that balanced landing needs a buff? Let me explain, I was in a match with legion (red forest) and I jumped off the second story expecting to make some distance between us but no, Legion caught up to me too fast with his ability, and so okay I get this, he needs to be fast. A couple matches later i did balanced landing against a Michael and once again it didn't even help, probably only like 1 second worth of more time. Some of the killers are either too fast or balanced landing is too slow.
How long have you been playing the game? As if you're still new to the game you shouldn't be calling for nerfs, as when you're new everything seems overpowered or under powered.
When I was new I thought Adrenaline was under powered because I didn't understand how it worked.
From your post you seem to be using balance landing wrong. It sounds like you're using balance landing and running into dead zones. Exhaustion perks like balance landing are used to get to the next window or pallet, that you may not have got to without using that perk.
When you're being chased by the killer you should always have a chase route planned, rather then just running aimlessly.
On a side note I do believe balance needs a buff, but not in the way you described. I personally think old balance landing should come back, as it's currently one of the worst exhaustion perks in the game in my opinion (I use to balance all the time before it's nerf).

Nah its not fun having gens pop so fast there's nothing you can do. With just two people on a gen it takes no time at all, I don't want fast games. I want games with lots of chases, lots of pallet stuns and loops and back and forth and hit and runs but it goes so fast now that there's fewer chases. Even playing survivor hardly anything happens, gens need to be longer to complete, but I play mostly survivor so I'm not happy with quick games in that respect either. I feel like people are just saying that it's not OK to feel this way about the game and that it doesn't exist. Well that's fine you don't have to agree but you shouldn't also try to force your opinion on others either. That's your opinion, and your experiences, my experiences in the game atm have been vastly different to yours, and also not everyone has 8hours a day to sit on their arse and play this game like tru3talent, he's a pro player at this game so this comparison is irrelevant.
How I'm I forcing my opinion onto you?
I gave you advice how you could slow the game down by not being afraid to abandon some chases and to slug when you deem it necessary.
Then I also suggested that if you go into games with a positive mindset, you'll have more fun as killer.
It's no longer 2018, good survivors are no longer wasting they're time healing themselves, they're now more optimal. I was watching an old survivor gameplay video by No0b3, I was surprised how much time the survivors were wasting.

If you don't like don't read. Seriously what's wrong with you or do you just like looking for people to have a go at? You're another pro player too right? Lmao stop getting so offended by these post and get a life haha wow this game has been made super easy for survivors that's the truth, i play mostly survivor so I know.
I've just been trying to give you advice how you can have a more enjoyable experience as killer.
If you go into games with the mindset that you're the one responsible for your enjoyment, rather then it's because survivor "is easy mode" you'll enjoy playing killer more.
Trust me I know how frustrating killer can be, I play as Leatherface at red ranks. Some games aren't fun and the survivors win, but rather then blaming the game, I just focus on what mistakes I made, what I could have done differently to have a better result. Having this mindset, makes playing killer far more enjoyable.
I'm currently having more fun as killer, then I am as survivor. In the past two seasons I haven't had the same motivation to play survivor.

How is fast gens well played though?
I always send "good game well played" after my games, it's like a end of game handshake.
Well they did their objective better then I did mine.
I say this to survivors that it isn't the killers job to provide them with a fun game. Likewise, it's not the survivors job to provide you with a fun game, they're job is to escape. The only person that is responsible if you have a fun game is you?
I even made a post about it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/101754/you-ruined-my-fun#latest
If you go into the game with the mindset that you're the one responsible whether you have a fun game or not, you'll find the game more enjoyable. Rather then blaming the survivors for gen rushing, review your own performance what you could have done differently, to get a better result?
I've played this game for nearly two years, I'm still always looking for a way I could improve as a player.

Why do survivors want fast games?
Same question could be asked why do killers want a 4k? The survivors are trying to escape, the best way to escape is by playing optimally. Survivors have got a lot more optimal then they have in the past.
When I play survivor if I'm not being chased I'll work on a generator or cleanse a totem if I come across one.
It's the same when I play killer, I'll try and kill all four survivors as quickly as possible. For me I'd much rather sacrifice all four survivors before a single gen is done then ranking up.
I go into the killer games with the mindset that if all the gens are done quickly, then that's my fault for not providing enough map pressure. I find I have a lot more fun as killer with that mindset.
With killer if you find yourself chasing a good survivor or you find yourself chasing a survivor into a god loop, don't be afraid to abandon the chase. Also slugging is an excellent strategy at providing map pressure. If you have a survivor hooked and one slugged, it forces the other survivors to get off the gens to help their team mates.
Yes, I often have games where I barely get any hooks in the game, but those games are rare and I just say "good game, well played" move onto my next game.

I personally didn't like using old ruin on my killer builds, I preferred pop goes the weasel. As old Ruin just got destroyed in the first few seconds. I'm actually excited to try out new ruin in my killer builds.
With Legion, survivors will just assume that the killer is using discordance, so survivors will avoid working on the same gen.
Speaking as a survivor main don't be afraid to slug. It's excellent way to provide map pressure. How I see it if the survivors allow me to slug, it's due to their incompetent rather then me being a "scummy/try hard killer"

I always have huge respect to any half decent Nurse on the console, it takes a lot of time and effort to be even being able to play Nurse. i even looped half decent Nurse for 5 gens, still messaged them my respects.
With the PSN reporting system, you have to wait till they swear or say something else considered offensive. You can even report them for saying "Noob" and it'll go through.
I had a guy who I played against twice, both times just kept spamming follows after I sacrificed him (I personally thought I played fairly). I've blocked him now.

Tbh the pipping system punishes both sides for playing optimally. If I kill all survivors with five gens remaining I'll only safety pip or even lose a pip. However, I could potentially double pip in games I struggled in, because it lasted longer.
For me I value more being able to sacrifice the survivors as quickly as possible, over dragging the game out.

You know I play a lot of killer right? For the past two seasons I've been playing more killer then I have survivor.
When I play killer borrowed time never really bothers me unless it was a beyond stupid unsafe hook, I was unable to cause an unsafe penalty for the unhooker.
This is just me but when it comes to end game I won't camp the hook, I understand why some killers do it to secure the kill. I can't bring myself to do it unless their swarming the hook the moment I hook the survivor, as I like to earn my kills.

How do I combat this other than look everywhere? This has been happening to me lately as killer. I get 2 people dead and then the last 2 just hide and i patrol the gens and they dont work on anything so i have to look in every corner of the map and inspect lockers. Almost always find them together hiding in the corner of the map. This has dragged on games for 10 minutes or so if they hide well. Super boring to go against. How do I combat this? I know i could use whispers but that's all i can come up with. Does anyone else experience this as well?
I use whispers too, which is really good tracking perk.
If in my games the survivors have stopped working on generators, and the requirements for hatch to spawn has been met I start looking for the hatch. The reason is when survivors stop working on generators it's often due to a key being in the game.
BBQ and Chilli is a really good perk for locating immersed survivors. I often try to hook a survivors 32 metres away from the general location I believe other survivors to be. BBQ and Chilli can also be used to locate your slugs.
Infectious Freight is also a good perk in locating survivors, as well is nurses calling.
My main killer is build BBQ and Chilli, Whispers, Nurses Calling, and infectious freight.
Before I deranked so that I could learn how to play as Spirit and the new Doctor for the upcoming rift, I was a red rank killer and dealing with immersed survivors is still my biggest weakest as a killer. Although, how I see it is that if they are just hiding and not working on generators, so whilst they're annoying to find they are basically acting as a secondary ruin, are more of a harm then a help to their team's chances of escaping.

It was already way too powerful before, but with the endgame collapse it can turn the game around in one minute. Survivors don't have enough time to look and cleanse it's totem, but they also can't risk it and try to open the gates before the killer comes, or else they risk an instant lose. It's near impossible for every survivor to escape when the killer has it equipped. I personally started taking the hit for others.
I have to admit I sometimes use NOED on Leatherface, with my reasoning is that he's one of the weakest killers in the game and I rarely use addons (I'm a hoarder). However, I do believe NOED needs to be nerfed.
How I think NOED could be nerfed is either that you can only use one insta down, after you downed your first survivor the other remaining survivors are no longer exposed but you keep your speed boost.
Or
NOED could become a token perk, where you gain tokens from how many hooks you have made throughout the game. The amount of tokens you have is how often you can insta down survivors.
It might just be me but I find winning the game due to NOED isn't satisfying. It's different if I use NOED to down the remaining survivor after I closed the hatch.

Wow, that's pretty bad...before you went down to 8, what kind of matches were you getting? The reason I'm asking is I watched Tofu's video about matchmaking/queue times, because people are on here are touting it as irrefutable gospel, but I can't realistically believe that all the green/yellow rank survivors are playing SWF with red rank friends. If his theory is true, then the majority of red rank killers should be getting rainbow lobbies nearly every match.
So far the responses I've gotten are all over the place though, so I'm not sure what to think. Hopefully some more people respond so we get a clearer picture.
Sometimes I was getting a match full of red ranks, other times I was getting a mix match of purple, green and yellow ranks, with the occasional grey ranks. I just assumed it was due to SWF.
Although some of the green and purple rank survivors I was going against were better then the majority of red rank survivors that I go against.
I always feel bad when I get genuine low ranks matched against me. As I always expect the survivors playing I'm against are going to high ranks. If I see a bad survivor, I just assume they are just boosted high ranked survivors. As I mainly play solo q when I play survivor, when I see a bad survivor I try to get them to depip to reduce the chances I'll get them as a random.

It's actually more complex than you'd think, there are thousand of players, even high ranks who don't know how the emblem sistem works, what Luck is about, what is a bannable offense or a reportable offense, how much time a gen takes to be done depending on the amount of people on it,
Newbies have to learn what I just said plus an inmense amount of perks, perk combos, what statuses are (exhaustion, etc.), maps, what totems are, specific survivors and killers abilities, should I continue? Being able to "run" doesn't mean you know how to loop, being able to repair doesn't mean you know how to do perfect skillchecks, being able to drop a pallet doesn't mean they learnt how to actually stun a killer or when to or not drop a pallet, damn, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF RED RANK WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO BLIND THE KILLER WITH A LANTERN.
Don't get me wrong, I believe veterans are as important as new players, my issue is with you saying this is not a complex game, if you think doing gens, openning gates is all there is... Damn I hope you're not a purple or red rank...
Did I say that Dead by Daylight isn't a complex game?
I just said it doesn't take much mechanical skill (coordination) to be good at the game, compared to other PVP games such as Overwatch.
As mentioned in my main post, there are a lot of good tutorials on Youtube that go into depth, about structures, pallets, flashlights etc which are available to new players.
In my opinion it's more important thing for a survivor is the knowledge of how to loop the killer optimally, as well as the core basics of the. Gen times, luck, the pipping system, mind games is something that is easily picked up over time.
I say this as a survivor main but in my opinion killer is probably harder to master then survivor. A killer has to learn how to juggle between providing map pressure and chasing survivors. Understanding how to deal with common loops, when to commit or not to commit to chases, I could go on.
Yes I am a red rank, I've been a rank 1 survivor since September 2018 and I've been a red rank killer on and off since then as well. I'm a good survivor, and considering I've been playing the game for nearly two years I'd class myself as a veteran.
EDIT: As I already mentioned before, I started playing around the time the Clown was released. There was less content in the game. Not as many killers, maps, perks, and the pipping system was simpler.
Whilst newer players have it harder then when I started the game. I still believe a new player could become a good survivor (can play optimally, and know to loop properly) in a short period of time if they put the time and effort into it.

Easy to pick up
Hard to master
Look at the achievement percentage rates per rank bracket.
That should tell you the answer to your question.
It's somewhat hard to master killer, but as survivor (which the new update is balancing around new survivors) doesn't take long to master if the new player applies themselves. Maybe the game was easier in 2018, but after I started to try to improve as a player it only took me just a over a month to become a good survivor.

Test running a few games in red ranks without Ruin and I was being gen rushed in every single one.
I think I'm just gonna slowly stop playing killer for awhile it's too frustrating.
Map size and gen speed is something that needs to be looked at.
Chase 1 survivor into a good loop can cost a gen or 2 and leaving that survivor hurts more because now they can work on a gen for free and you have to go put pressure somewhere else and now and days survivors are so bold.
Idk I'm just frustrated man. Gens are going to go sooo fast now and this change honestly hurts the weaker killers
Killers like Clown and Leatherface need to be next in line for changes if anything.
I know I can play some top tier killers but it gets boring af using the same killers and I know survivors get tired of seeing the same killers.
This might be because I stopped using Ruin in my killer builds a while ago, but I decided to use old Ruin last night, as the update is coming today (i believe).
Last night was the most frustrating experience I felt as killer in a long time. Ruin just kept getting cleansed early so I was just playing with three perks for the majority of the game.
I was losing games that I felt that I deserved more from the game, as I felt I played well enough to possibly win the game. I was ending chases early, destroying a lot of pallets.
I was playing as Leatherface but he is one of the killers that I main. I normally use Pop goes the Weasel or Play with your food instead of Ruin.

I had a match against 4 grey ranks. I was rank 8, but I still shouldn't be getting four rank 20's.
EDIT: Have in mind, I was a red rank killer up until the last rank reset, I have deranked so that I could learn the new Doctor and Spirit.
I was playing as one of my mains during the match. The game ended in about two minutes.

Yea you don't need grind all perks to max lvl to make reset, but get extra unique "charm" cosmetic or reset possibility after 3 prestige 50 lvl would be nice...
(i now keep 1 million bp & all me characters have 3 prestige & (only 10% of all survivor's don't have all perks) i don't see a lot interesting what i can to do...
I'm Devotion 4 level 76, most of my killers aren't leveled up, I still have characters I need to P3.

Yes, let's increase the already large grind that we currently have now.
Just no.

@Nutty_Professor I have no issue with BT besides the fact 15 seconds is exceedingly long. I do believe to make the perk balanced on both sides this would be the way to go. Make the endurance status effect apply regardless of terror radius which will make it useful against stealth killers, and in return shorten the timer. The Styptic Agent is also 8 seconds
8 seconds is too short, I'm pretty sure it takes 8 seconds just to get out of the basement.
-
I played Friday the 13th before I played this game, so I assumed I made noise notifications of my location to the killer if I ran (as if every killer ran spies from the shadows). So I just walked everywhere.

- Timer Reduced from 15 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Borrowed Time will be activated regardless if there is a terror radius or not.
Not being funny if you have issues with Borrowed Time, there's an easy solution which is not to camp the hook.
Although there are the scenarios where survivors use borrowed time to just farm their team mates the moment they put on the hook, but they harm their team in the long run.

So,since Billy will probably have his add-ons altered I had two great ideas in order to balance him. Please bear with me.
A nerf idea; put a cooldown on his chainsaw, pretty much like the nurse. In corn maps he can cross the entire map in a matter of seconds. So with the cooldown,he will use his chainsaw to get to a gen,and he will be forced to m1 if he misses the survivor. Not that big of a cooldown addition tho, like 5 seconds, maybe the longer you chainsaw Sprint, the more cooldown it has.
If you don't agree with the cooldown on his base kit,how about in a red add-on?
Hillbilly cannot be stunned by hitting in a wall while he chainsaws (like oni) but he has a cooldown each time he uses his chainsaw.
What do you think? Let me know down below.
Keep the conversation civil tho
You want to nerf the most balanced killer in the game?
Just no.

There's like four pallets that HAVE to be broken in the main building, then there's also two god windows that can be looped into those same four pallets. That map is debatable worse than Haddonfield. At least Haddonfield has pallets you can mind-game.

Not even close man,Disturbed ward is alot worse
My original title was "Disturbed Ward is worse than Haddonfield (IMO)" but I changed it incase it came across as bait.
As I mentioned in my original post I much rather have Haddonfield then Disturb Ward when playing killer.
