Healthiest perk in the game. The paradigm of good survivor perk design.
-
I'm a simple creature that enjoys the simpler things. In 2017, I could simply swap killers mid lobby. 2022? No killer swapping mid lobby. Not as enjoyable for me. 2017, same bullshit but less performance issues on console. 2022, same bullshit but more performance issues on console

A sense of relief to hold you over until they release a devotion system.

Like many other vets of the game I've played for a long time, so i'd be surprised if I hadn't played with a majority of the forum members at some point. Definitely just about all the ps4 player base.

Never on purpose, but when I do, it's a lot of fun! I have had the pleasure to lobby up with quite a few regulars, and be your killer as well.
What killer do you play the most?
-
Yeah, it's certainly not one of the monthly rewards I'm eager to check out. But hey, I'm sure they know exactly the expectations they're setting with the rewards.
-
I heard from a reliable source that 66.6% of killers prefer French Press to Drip Coffee.
-
I understand where you're coming from with the whole stealth & secondary objective focus. I typically opt for a more RBT Pressure focused approach and let the stealth and mind games come from her kit organically. A general formula on pig perks I like to follow is this: Corrupt (essential) + Tracking Perk (BBQ, Whispers, Lethal, Discordance) + Strong Gen Regression (Scourage PR, Jolt, Eruption, CoB, etc...) + Fill (usually either another gen regression or tracking, MYC for a little spice)
-
Deserves all the praise he gets. He has a nice balance to his kit, despite some QOL adjustments here and there. I'd say overall the good heavily outweighs the bad and it's easy to pick out his strong aspects like map pressure, mind gaming, mobility, chase power, and solid add-ons. I'd say his kit works well enough together to better those strengths through Nightfall. Hail to the Lord of Darkness.

Hunk finally gave me an incentive to play one of the male Legions. Otherwise its always Stabby Queens. Go Susie, go!
That great and all, but shoulda been Feng Min. Eheh. In all seriousness, would have loved to see Jeff get an outfit like that.

I hate that you got the Hunk skin Legion. YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF HUNK! Shoulda been happy with Robbie, but ofc you get HUNK too.

I did this the other day for just 2 matches to entertain myself. Not gonna lie, I was having fun because I know people complain so much about it. Then I went back to playing twins 😂
Insidious Bubba gets a bad rep cause he can be a bit much with all the attention he gives. Poor guy just wants to show survs his cool new trick :(

So. After some deliberation between friends, playing other games, judging the Knight before he is even released, and then a few drinks.
A solution has been theorized. Pulled straight from the Rocket League competitive rules even.
Make it where if one survivor DCs, all others are able to leave the match with no penalty.
Think of how well this works in the way DBD is played: one person DCs because they get downed within the first minute, so now it is a 3V1 for the remaining survivors. That isn't much of a match, and really shouldn't be treated as such. Pull what Rocket League does and simply make it where the remaining survivors are able to leave without penalty. It allows the remaining survivors to move onto their next match, the killer to do the same so they can experience an ACTUAL match, and keeps the brunt of the penalty onto the one who initially pulls the plug, so that only those who are continually leaving matches are the ones who actually suffer while all others involved have an out without a penalty just by association.
Say what you will, but for Rocket League this system works perfectly, as only those who actively hurt their teammates get punished. Why should the remaining players have to suffer in the match due to the actions of one?
"and then a few drinks"
That is at least a step towards a solution. Hell, even a surrender option.

Haven’t played it yet as Valorant is my main FPS game.
A bunch of people in one of my discord servers play that one a lot. I haven't tried it myself. I just know they all love/hate that game with a passion.

They did Hangman's trick dirty with the nerf to it. It used to respawn broken hooks from sacrifices at one point. While I don't think it should be a base game mechanic, I did think how that perk handled it was fine.

Why should there be risk in hooking a survivor, which is the killer's objective? Y'all are honestly so entitled without realizing it. Controversial opinion I know, but if the killer gets a down they should get a hook. There's so much strategy, map management, mental juggling, and on-the-fly thinking that goes into playing with killer. You just sound like you're in a different reality with that statement.

I'm just gonna stop arguing on this topic, because I've said my part, and y'all can't come up with any intelligent reason why hooks need to break after death and deny the killer their objective. All y'all have is claiming that it never happens, somehow makes killer more skillful, or false comparisons about resources.
There are some very solid reasons in this thread, friend. They just don't match up with your view about Killers. Maybe it's entitlement. Oh, the irony. Since your replies tend to be strawman, and don't actually debate to address the main point, I'll just leave you with this. If survivors have to account for generator placement in their gameplay, then it's fair killers have to do the same for hooks. Should generators just be spread out even more to prevent 3-gens? You just sound unhinged and out-of-touch in these posts.
-
Yes. There would be no risk for killers since they'd just have infinite hooks with no worry of making deadzones. That would take away a piece of what little strategy and resource management goes into killer gameplay.

Who would win, Plague, or a small pile of debris just large enough to shield a survivor while they crouch.

Whoever decided to make bastion mobile needs a pay raise
How could someone think up such cosmic horror and unleash it on the world. The oppressor is even more oppressive.

I’ve been enjoying the gameplay since Bastion finally got the update i’ve been waiting for and Junkerqueen lets me go all in without feeling horrible about doing it

Junkerqueen is pretty nutty. I'm really liking all the new characters so far. Whoever decided to make Bastion mobile...plz stop >:(.

Thanks for asking 😄
Originally torbjorn but after role queue released i started to play more support and tank, and so i started to main Sigma. He's very strong in overwatch 2 i think so that's cool.
Hell yea. I'm a fan of Mr. Long Toes too...😂. It's usually either him or Orisa if my team needs a good shield. I fw Winston too cuz I like making widows mad and hearing them flame in chat. Their tears fuel me.

Oh yeah i've played the new pve mission quite a few times. It's nice i like it. I hope we get something like that every halloween event that would be great.
Odd question, but who was your main in ow1? Mine was Roadhog in the later years, but Moira will always be my first true main. Roadhog is still pretty solid, so will probably still play him.

Oh no, not................D3AD Hard.

Love 'em or hate 'em, there's no denying they've released the bangers over the years.
Yea, def a lot of great games they've had their fingerprints on in someway or another. Side tangent, but they're up there with Midway, Bandai, Namco (pre-merger), THQ, and Atlus for me in terms of putting out some consistently great titles over their lifetime. I can't even look at True Crime without getting the theme song immediately stuck in my head and I haven't played that game in at least over a decade.

They dont get any more $ from me. Thats for sure. ;)

Yeah. I've been playing since overwatch 1 launch day and i love the gameplay of overwatch 2. It is painful how expensive it is to get cosmetics now but i'd rather get new content every 9 weeks and have no lootboxes instead of have overwatch 1 stagnant forever.
I prefer 5v5 because i find it much easier to process what's happening now, plus tanks feel like juggernauts which i love.
I do think the balance took a big hit, but i'm having more fun than i did with Overwatch 1.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3247468#Comment_3247468
PvE is coming out next year. They released the PvP early because overwatch 1 was kinda dying.
For players like us, who more than likely have a majority of the cosmetics collected after years of playing, not as big deal, but still a lot to be rightfully wary of. Those prices are pretty hefty, especially during what i'd call global inflation. Makes me glad I spent all that time grinding for cosmetics. While the fanbase may be split on the new direction, i'm sure almost everyone can agree that it's good to see the game get new content after such a long hiatus. Whether it was worth the wait...well...i'll let the OW community argue with themselves on that :B. Played much of the WoTB event so far? How you likin it?

I was sort of curious at one point about their plans to have a full blown PvE campaign mode or the like so you could just play the game solo cooperatively against bots but that never really seems to have gotten into it either.
If you want the TL;DR, summed up nicely by @OrangeBear. From the rumor mill, there is a much longer and juicer story about the internal challenges and change in direction for OW2 after the events of Kaplan's departure from the company.

Haven’t played Overwatch in years. My nephew played Overwatch 2 a bit but doesn’t seem to like it as much as the original.
I've got ppl in 1 of 2 parties. Either they absolutely loved the changes, or they dropped the game completely within the first couple weeks. Personally, I don't like it as much as the original either.

Still pisses me off they took the good pallet in the west hallway and turned it into a heaping trash pile

For some reason I keep imagining him coming back as a Motaro. Being chased by a centaur would actually terrify me.

Looks great. I loved all 3 Dead Space games, so I will most likely enjoy Callisto. Great year to be a horror-genre fan.

To be totally clear my main issue with it stems from the picking up animation being made without flashlight stuns in mind.
Same. While I am hesitant to call the increased buffer time a necessary step forward, it is a welcome change. One that should have been done years ago imo. Similar feelings with pallet stuns during the pickup animation. Always has seemed "off" to me when the animation finishing gets prioritized over just about everything else going on outside of that teeny tiny window at the end of it.

It is kinda silly how ymmv using depending on the platform it's used on/against. I just play with crossplay off if I use it anymore.

That's nice

Looks promising at first glance, but I'll keep my judgements reserved. Wouldn't be the first instance of The Monkey's Paw.
