Yep, that's the state of the game now. You would think it'd be different across all the new map variants, but you still always end up running into either a massive wide-open dead zone, or you'll get a couple of little pocket dead zones where you don't want to be in a chase.
-
Brace yourselves we're in for a wild ride.
-
At this point I'd rather be playing pre v.1.9.2
-
The amount of unsafe pallets is starting to be bothersome as a survivor, but atleast there's a hook every 5 inches apart now.
-
Say sike right now because this...this aint it chief. Git gud.

I've played on a few of the new Autohaven variants and don't care too much for them. Played one match in Ormond so far, didn't care for it either, but it was slightly more bearable than new Autohaven. I do not like the giant stone wall that seemingly does more harm than good for survivors.

I think most dbd players would honestly. I mean who wouldn't want to know why a game they enjoy playing is being shafted by the higher ups in BHVR?
I was mad, but I wasn't......as mad as I was after I saw what they did to Autohaven. It's even more uglier and unplayable than before. I think I actually developed a little soft spot for the old Autohaven after seeing how the new map suffers from poor design. The lines are so wide open, all they need are some yellow lines and a speed limit sign

Just saying what's already been said, but for sure. Elodie is a queen! Claudette's model is a mess to begin with, they did her all types of wrong imo. They should definitely give them a little update for the new generation. Like...they need to rework Quinton's face.

I would like to speak to their manager!

Just wondering as I keep getting black-pips even if I do virtually everything survivors can do in a trial (gens, totems, unhooks, chases + escape = still black pip).
I have noticed this as well. Last night when a friend and I were playing, and they escaped and had over 30k in total with everything but benevolent gold or above at end of trial and didn't pip. We were saying how that was so weird to not even pip cause it was a great game.

The survivor in me agrees with you, but the killer in me wants to facecamp you. 5/7 post.

1. This game shouldn't be considered competitive with the amount of bugs and awful the MMR that plague it. Also, rank is, and always will be, absolutely meaningless in this game and does not reflect actual player skill. That is why I see so many potatoes in high ranks like purple/red ranks. The system has always been easy to level up in even since before the emblem system. You can have games where you do next to nothing and still pip. I can only think one time I would say the devs had a challenging scoring system, but they scaled it back down within a few patches after critiques that it was too challenging to pip and ever since its always been easy to get those purple/red ranks as killer or solo survivor.
2. T-bagging really isn't that bad and people let it tilt them more than it should, which is actually why it is effective as a taunt. With the lack of VGS and very little emotes to use in-game its pretty much its own form of communication for survivors to interact with each other and the killer.
3. Endgame needs to be reworked before any nerfs are even considered for items like pink keys. For one, survivors will wait out the endgame timer and t-bag at the exit gates, which didn't really change much other than they are t-bagging on a timer. Additionally, there should be an alternative way to open hatch after it's closed besides the key because you get these situations in endgame where killers can easily hold the game hostage vs. the last survivor and literally no matter what a survivor does they die because hatch is closed and the exit gates can easily be patrolled, especially when they spawn close. That means if the survivor didn't bring in a key or get lucky enough to find one in a chest to get hatch they will die no matter how they played. Also, killers can slug the last survivor and just wait the whole duration of the timer, which is both a waste of time for each side to watch and super scummy imo.
4. Too many hooks with not enough spacing between them. This really shows on smaller maps that will have multiple hooks spawn the bare minimum distance away from each other so you get 2 to 3 hooks all together within a small area
5. Its okay for survivors and killers to have pink items and add-ons that are useful in helping them achieve their objective. Not every useful item/add-on needs nerfed into the ground just because it hurt you.

No, because in it's current state it is well-balanced perk that can efficiently do what it was intentionally designed for. Ultimately, a non-issue when it comes to perks that need to be reworked.

With all perks, especially Unbreakable disabled for 5 minutes
Of course, how delectably devious! Just to be sure those pesky survivors still aren't too strong, Deerstalker should be added as a passive ability to every killer's kit that shows auras up to 60 meters away.
-
In fact, the devs should just make it to where the survivors automatically start the match in dying state.
-
Crossplay is all well and good, but it clearly is not as polished as members of the dead by community expected, especially on console. Playing on console is a trip within itself. I'd have preferred more game modes instead of crossplay, but this is just how it is. People are adapting how they want to, and opting out of crossplay is a reasonable response
-
For me, both sides have always been easy to level up, but that is because the emblems are easy to get (at least to me). Heck, I feel like even when I have a bad game as killer or survivor I will still wind up with at least 1 pip.
-
I'm on ps4, and even when I play on Ethernet I definitely feel the lag playing as survivor. I can honestly say its more noticeable than before dedicated servers went live, but that isn't saying much in comparison to the p2p days.
-
I think you should look at Campus Punk Feng, Happy-Go-Luck, and Rare Loot Collector Feng Head. Might additionally check out Cold Wasteland Survivor, Mother Bear, Solstice Devotee, Miss Kitty, or any event outfit for huntress. She easily has one of the better variety of cosmetics to choose from i'd say.

I would ask why not the guy from silent hill 2 since piramid head is his monster.
But honestly... I don't really care.🤷♂️
Only watched lore videos of silent hill and didn't play them myself.
Survivors are already bold as it is. Imagine throwing James into this mix.

Agreed, I like Heather. I just figured it was due to something with the copyrights is why they didn't use that name. Similarly along those same lines, I was kinda wondering why not Alessa, haha?

In the end game scoreboard, so then they can actually get better at the game taking the information into account - instead of just assuming every loss "is only because you are swf".
For real tho. Some killers need to stop trying to fool themselves into believing every squad that loads in around the same time is swf. I have logs of post-game messages from playing solo survivor and escaping, yet the killer insists we were a trash 4-man swf, no matter how many times you say you aren't even squaded up ┐('~`;)┌ . Like with any team-based game, sometimes you just get good teammates who all know what they're doing.
-
Swf is fine as it is. If anything, I find overly altruistic swfs make playing killer easier because they willingly sacrifice themselves trying to go for flashlight saves, pallet stuns (if their buddy is in a pallet), and so on. It was stated before, but why should survivors be punished for playing with friends? It's not like dbd has in-game chat similar to F13, and even with comms good killers still gonna 4k often. Heck, I am still getting 4ks with piggy.
-
If they gave him the same kit from the Shrek games it would be all ogre.
-
I disagree entirely. It should have been Mira and James! 🤣

I'm in love with the new map, there is so many references from Silent Hill 1 that makes me smile on my face <3
For real! I saw the Seal of Metatron in the dev stream and got really excited too for what other easter eggs from the series are hiding. We console players will have to wait sadly :(.
-
As a long time fan of the series, that pretty much sums up my sentiments too. Well...and this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjQtzV9IZ0Q
I had to make an account just to say devs, ya'll are bona fide rockstars for this DLC.
-
Both outfits are fine to me, but of course everyone will have their favorites in the contest. If anything, I just think that having too colorful of clothing items on a survivor would make it easier for killer to see you if you're trying to be stealthy, so hopefully the version we get is also functional.
-
Bummers. I am beyond excited. I couldn't believe the news when I heard we get Midwich Ele. School, Pyramid Head, and Heather (Cheryl). I see this as a huge nod to horror fans in the community, as well as another reason to be excited for upcoming content. I'm sure many of us know how stingy Konami can be with licensing, so props to the team for landing this deal.
