The devs have said that camping is a legitimate strategy.

It also doesn't happen at high ranks.

Im rank 3. Its happened to me 3 times today...so it definitely does happen at high ranks

  • @Xzan said:

Well, I'm curious, when did the killer started to camp/tunnel?

    Did you do toxic stuff?

    Were all gens done?

Did your mates went for braindead saves?

1st game: No toxic stuff, 2 gens done, killer waited for someone to unhook then he would make sure to slap me and put me back on.

2nd game: no toxic stuff, no gens done, put in basement and killer (myers) stood right infront of me i got one chance off hook but the killer just guarded the exit let the unhooker go and made sure he'll get me

3rd game, no toxic stuff, no gens done facecamped, i ended up dcing

  • @ZoneDymo said:

Yeah because the next random player is totally responsible for those that camped you and deserved to be held accountable for their actions...makes total sense.

Yes because i was totally responsible for annoying that toxic killer in the previous match and i deserve to be held accountable for their actions by being face camped or moried.. also makes total sense.

  • @Feiten said:

    Oh look... how original.

Well sorry but its true, bad killers need to stop this stuff. I just wasted over half an hour just because i kept getting sent back to lobby after being tunnelled floored then hooked until i die. But dw im now using ds, dh, iron will and head-on. Its been my first fun game today as the killer couldnt just kill me off the second the match started.

Really? I'm just a noobygorgon so when a rank 1 and 5 joined my 15 que it was i who got murdered.

Yeah once you get used to him people expect demogorgons to be weak, so you use that to your advantage.

Plus i do feel sorry for you with getting red rank survivors, im normally rank 4-5 killer so im used to some of those red ranks

  • @starkiller1286 said:

He might use echolocation so he has to be a living siren. I hate how easy he is to avoid because he isnt that dangerous really. Unless the devs expect you to slowdown to see if survivors are messing with portals he's kind of pathetic when survivors coordinate.

Nah if you use him correctly ive been able to knock out a whole squad of <bad word> flashlight survivors and oh my is it fun to get comments on them raging because their flashlights were useless on me and i was merciless to them xD

  • @SpookyStabby said:

GhostFace is my main and I LOVE him! So much fun and I love playing hide and seek with survivors!

Had a game and one of the survivors dc'ed straight away so i just had fun playing with the other survivors and bobbing up and down and then i let them escape, i find this game more fun when your actually playing for enjoyment and not just trying to get 4k's 24/7

I think im gonna actually start playing ghostface alot as once i learn how to play him to his fullest i really think hes going to be a great killer to have fun with

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

I think when I get ready to fully commit to prestiging Ghostface that I will get his Viper cosmetic! On PS4 I bought his metallic outfit during Black Friday and loved having it. I feel like a lot of his cosmetics work well with each, too. Not all killers have that advantage (Oni).

The idea for the Shape is a fun one. I just think that there are too many variables to implement with all the advantages the Shape gets in Tier 3 in his current version like: the increased lunge and faster action speed (vaulting). Would you give those up to be able to stalk a single survivor?

I think he's in a good spot right now. Maybe give a Myers mask to Ghostface as a cosmetic?

It would be a cool thing to do say if you own both then myers gets a ghostface mask and ghostface gets a myers mask

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

Ghostface is incredibly fun. He has silly meme stuff he can do and is also competitive. Great cosmetics, too.

Ghostface's power on the Shape puts you in a position of why even have the Shape? Also, there's the difference in height that causes another issue. A teabagging Myers would be hilarious, but he already has that sick moon walk haha.

Yeah his meme stuff but still a good killer actually makes him really good to play, with his cosmetics im actually planning on buying the icy shroud and possibly the devil face after tome 3 comes out

But mainly with ghostfaces power i ment the part where he can only affect the people hes stalking not everyone on the entire map even though i too would love to see a teabagging myers

You’re talking about different things, winning and getting better. The topic is about being punished for winning too quickly, the UFC fighter who knocks his opponent out in 30 second still improved his record, heck some titles have changed that way.

The chessmaster who beats me still gets one more win added to his record, the chess community doesn’t all of a sudden decide since he beat a beginner he gets a loss. But that is exactly what DBD has done before, I’ve played as Billy before and near instantly downed all four survivors and black pipped.

As far as your lore explanation that is spot on, but the Example of other games also shows that DBD is one of the few games you get punished for winning too much.

But he was talking abput pips which i was going on about im not talking about winning im talking about ranking up whi h is initially getting better, you cant get better if you play on easy mode.

  • @johnmwarner said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1209929#Comment_1209929

This is a stupid analogy, and incorrect. If I play against a grandmaster they would probably checkmate me in like 10 moves without needing to trade too many pieces and they would get a win...

Ive seen UFC fighters knockout the opponent in less than 15 seconds, they get a win...

Ive seen professional billiards player break and run the table never missing, they get a win...

Should I go on? None of the above situations require the dominant player to artificially lengthen the game to earn more points to secure a win.

And this is where your wrong does the grandmaster get better because he defeated you, no

Does the fighter get better because he knocked you out in 15 seconds, no

Does a gamer get better at minecraft by completing the game on peaceful, no

Should i go on in a game about strategy you dont get better by playing on easy mode and as someone said, the entity doesnt care that you killed/sacrificed them why do you think instead of getting a 4k it says brutal killer ect.. but not worshiper, its because the entity couldnt care less that you killed them its doesnt feast on their bodies it feasts on their hope thats why survivors are back into another trial after because all the entity does is reset them for the next trial so the entity can feast on their hope again, its why in my opinion gens are supposed to go fast in a match because if they go fast it builds up survivors hope only for them to be crushed and dominated by the killer

  • @Dacrenon said:

I think it's worth noting that between putting out that survey and today the entire company had to transition to working from home, and I can't imagine that's easy or ideal.

Yes but your forgetting the point theyve had months now to add something, anything to the rift they knew already what people wanted even before tome 1, it wouldnt of killed them to do some minor changes to it

  • @MongolPSR said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1208793#Comment_1208793

You're ignoring more simple changes they could of made like adding in the ability to have 1 killer and 1 survivor challenge active at once. Something like that would not be hard to implement.

Tbh you would have thought that would have been in already by now as well as 1-2 rift shards for daily challenges

  • @Carpemortum said:

You realize the rift and tome are different e entirely, right?

Also, why would you EVER expect to get what you want from that? They implimented a BATTLEPASS, which is designed to drain money. Not give people what they want for free.

The tome charms change because they're different levels of the tome. That's pretty easy to figure out.

But if we said we want this on the rift, and its not in the tome, nothing was done wrong. Because they're SEPERATE THINGS.

Yes i do know they are separate things entirely as you kindly skipped over the part where i never even mentioned the tome challenges and its rewards in the first place, also tome 3 is the NAME of the challenges AND rift im not going to call it rift 3 or battlepass 3 like an idiot am i when it actually has a name, the tome charm rewards are also great in my opinion and should stay as is but charms like the lion charms 5 charms that are exactly the same with literally no difference which are in the RIFT dont need to be here.

"Why would you ever expect to get what you want from that?" Its a battle pass its supposed to entice people into buying it so they can make money whats the point of it existing if most people hate the damn thing and wont buy it, it cant drain money if no ones buying it in the first place and if you dont believe me soo many people have said that they wont buy it as its just a huge waste, i mean after the last rift i was even planning of not buying tome 3, the rift just seems to be pushing people away rather than gaining people, which is horrific business wise.

Robins would be very good because they could act as a sugar-coat for deception. They look sweet but secretly they're working with the entity and the killer to sacrifice you.

Now this makes me want a love bird skin in the game love birds may have love in their name but they can be evil things

  • @Kate_cx said:

Reading your example about fortnite, it would be really cool if you could unlock a cosmetic in the rift that allows you to carry a vulture, crow or hawk on your shoulder while playing the game instead of just charms.

That would sound cool but they could also have it instead to in the rift there can be different skins for the crows on the map so the killer can make the crows become blue jays, robins, vultures, eagles and ect..

So survivors can put them onto their shoulder and killers can change all the crows on the map which would be extremely cool

  • @vorbzv said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1209929#Comment_1209929

They did nothing that would allow me to do anything else that wasn’t my fault but killing everyone should amount to something at least

Thats the annoying thing because whats basically happened in your game is the king was the only one attacking and you wont pip up because the game sees it as a free no effort win and this happens even with killers for instance a killer that wont chase anyone nor kick gens will lead to survivors not piping up because they completed their objectives too fast so the only option would be to just move on and play another game

Well I personally love legion from the buttom of my hearth. I just hate them from the gameplay. They are very weak and boring, the devs decided to take everything fun out of the Killer to replace it or nerf it down to a very sluggish, dull and simple Killer. Imo Oni or Deathslinger are both very fun and balanced. I can understand that insta down can be frustrating but the same goes to sabo, flashlight saves or pallet saves, these are things that doesnt happen alot, just like insta downs but if they happen they are very frustrating. But every game and everything in life can have frustrating things, its natural and you shouldnt focus to much on those things.

Yea i wasnt trying to diss legion as he was my first character i bought and i still play him from time to time

With pallet saves and flash saves and ect.. most of the time good killers know how to combat these.

With my demogorgon i have crushed 4 squad flashlight swf with only common add ons because i used their toxicity against them. In a game thats mostly about strategy instadown killers arent really needed at all

  • @vorbzv said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1209880#Comment_1209880

I had on hex ruin so I couldn’t hit gens and they never picked it up. But killing people I mean should count in that pip counter.

Not really because playing killer isnt about just killing people, think of it this way you dont win a game of chess by going straight to the king.

you have to get other pieces out before heading towards the king and yes you may loose some of your own pieces (gens) but when you finally get the king after defeating all the other pieces its not just one piece youve taken but many which equates to a large sum (bp and pips)

Killing survivors shouldnt be treated as your only task as doing that only makes you fail

  • @BenZ0 said:

Yes I personally am sick of getting licenced Killers, its cool and all but its just... not creative, we already know everything about these Killers from the movies, there is basicly nothing new to them in the game. Its way more interesting beeing suprised with what awsome ideas the devs and artists there come up with, for example Oni, Plague, Legion are WONDERFULL Killers, I love them and they are very interesting and cool characters, way better then any licence character by FAR. I personally like all original chapters, they have everytime something unique to it, I hope the devs will keep goign with more original chapters rather then just taking more licences.

Tbh some of the licensed suck, legion literally everyone hates on him, oni i find him to be annoying because you have to really rely on your team for him and if your team is full of noobs you have no absolute hope of escaping with him plus he encourages slugging, deathslinger heavily encourages camping which is the worst strategy in the game imo. And clown just sucks in general,I love licensed killers especially demogorgon i do actually find him quiet balanced he cant instadown and actually requires skin to down people and apply pressure. however in all fairness im mainly sick of all the insta down killers.

instadown shouldnt be easy to get its why all instadown perks are on totems in the first place but some killers especially leather face everybody hates that the second he puts someone on that hook and decides he wants to camp everybody knows the person on hook has no chance of getting off at all

  • To get pips you need to be working on your emblems getting stuff like max chase, max hooks, max survivor pressure and gen pressure, with no gens completed thats already an iridescent emblem, hooks from what you said should be gold or iri, survivor pressure would be around gold and chase would be iridescent aswell if what you said was true so unless your not telling us something here you should definitely be getting pips

  • @ProfoundEnding said:

As much as we all want that stuff. It was only given to us in a survey 3 weeks ago. That's not enough time for them to implement all that stuff. In fact, Rift 3 was probably already done or near being done by the time they got those results. I would expect some cool changes in the next one.

Hopefully, if not im probably going to be done with the rifts as its too much grind with not enough worth.

Tbh the 3 weeks mean nothing because the survey might have been put out then but people have been stating what they wanted even before the first rift came out and it wouldnt of killed them to add in just some minor stuff to make it more appealing.

  • @Anara said:

    I totally agree with OP.

The devs show us their talents with the amazing skins in the rift 2.

I thought the rifts would be better and better, the rift 2 was better than the 1, but the rift 3 is bad compare to the precedent.

The rift 2 was perfect : some minor skins, some great skins, half reskins, half new. I think it's the line the devs should follow.

I know the time is complicated for all. But, as long as devs use fans art as skins, I think it could be the perfect time for them to ask more the community to show their art skills.

I would love it if they just made the whole rift or at least most of it community designed e.g. community designed outfits, charms, fan art loading screens they could even do icon changes which i would love even more than just charms, i think this would be the greatest way to show how much they love their community plus if everything was fan made just think of how many cool unique designs people would see and instantly buy the rift or even if there were rift competitions and then the community for 1 week can submit their designs then the week after the 10 or 20 most popular designs will be voted on by the community with the top 5 making it into the next rift

Rift 2 my only favourite skin was iceberg lettuce hag and it actually encouraged me to play her because i liked the skin so much the game need skins like this that makes you go wow and wants you to try on that outfit and play that character

It’s a horror game with kiddie toys (charms etc)

Why isn’t there more mature, kick ass stuff ?

Tbh i have no idea the game is an 18 yet there isnt actually any 18 content within the game in my opinion

  • @Orionbash said:

The OP isn't wrong though. Most of the junk on the DbD Rift has been, well, basic. Props to Ice Hag, Mr Puddles, and the Feng outfit, however. The only reason I've bought both is to support the company. But, looking at this 3rd Rift...it's almost an insult. I know they plan to offer the cosmetics in the shop eventually, but if they didn't, 5 years down the road nobody is going to look at my Jane Romero skin and be like, "Wow, where did you get that???". They're so basic. This is a horror game that takes place in another dimension. Where are all the kickass outfits? I can come up with this stuff in my sleep.

    Like....

    • 90s Raver Jake. Complete with bustafunk phat pants, glowstick charms, tie dye hoodie, and frosted tips hair.
    • Magical Girl Feng. A Sailor Moon-esque warrior of the fog
    • GI Jane. From that time she played a commando in a terrible B-rated war movie. Complete with busty top, commando helmet, and army fatigues.
    • Pro Wrestler David. Topless David with a wrestling championship belt slung over his shoulder, boxer gloves, and a pair of league shorts.
    • Wood Nymph Claudette. A majestic, fantasy version of Claudette where she's become intertwined with her love of plants...literally! Picture like one of those beautiful wood nymphs from Disney's Hercules but made into something more fit to match DbD (And original, of course).
    • Wannebe Gangsta Dwight. Baggy jeans, oversized tee, a little bit of bling, and a backwards cap back when he had that awkward phase in high school.

Like there's just so many easy things they can do and we get reskins or basic outfits for the most part.... I wish I could draw because I would totally enter the community contest. But alas, I can't.

However...I'm totally willing to sign a release BHVR if you wanna steal my ideas. I don't need any reward in return. I'll even let you take credit for them.

Your ideas are actually great i would definitely love to see a nymth version of claudette most of all, i would also like to see if they would play into the memes a bit like a roadrunner styled meg, an entity styled nea, even a baby styled dwight which would be funny, the devs get so many cool ideas from the community yet they choose to ignore them most of the time

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Jesus, give them time, the survey was made made around 3 weeks ago, do you really expect them to add all that was on the survey in that period of time?

Previously made one on killer perks, so here is the survivor perk installment. Again, best to worst is in order from left to right within tiers. Here are how the tiers can be seen in my perspective:

S - The "meta" perks, best of the best

A - Great perks, helpful in most cases or have potential to shake up the momentum in the match

B - Good perks, serve their purpose but are often overlooked for better perks

C - Mediocre perks, have a purpose but aren't preferred or are too situational

D - Bad perks, very minimal potential, in need of some QoL changes

    F - Perks that need a rework/overhaul

New Player Perks - not being ranked as I feel these are perks are essential in acquainting new players with DBD. (Should not be teachables in my opinion)

Leave your thoughts below. Keep it peaceful & constructive. If you want to make your own, the link to my tierlist is:

    https://tiermaker.com/create/dead-by-daylight-survivor-perks-patch-360-312922

I definitely have to disagree for fixated as i use it alot and gives you an advantage to mind game the killer alot especially spirit plus pair it with sprint burst and it becomes really good pairing

  • I've actually always wondered why the daily challenges didnt have a rift fragment and in all fairness i actually mainly forgot about daily challenges this tome because i just found them unnecessary because it was either do daily and just get xp or just concentrate on my challenges and get rift shards

I also think some of the challenges just need a higher fragment reward for instance repair a total of 12 gens should not give the same reward as the repair a total of 4 gens (ik this is a kinda bad example as they're both kinda easy) as its basically exact same challenge but made to be more tedious and less rewarding because of it.

In all fairness after completing the tome i had a break off the game because it had made me hate the game because the rift just felt like more than a chore than a actual fun challenging experience with just the amount of time and effort i had to put into this game even having to deny playing with my friends on other games or even going on other games in general

Mainly for next tome i want challenges to reward the right amount of rift shards or even with the level completion

    level 1 = 10 rift shards + 5 all challenges completed

    Level 2 = 15 rift shards + 10 all challenges completed

    Level 3 = 20 rift shards + 15 all challenges completed

    Level 4 = 30 rift shards + 20 all challenges conpleted

    Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 fully all challenges completed = 50 rift shards

This would make completing all the challenges worth the grind and make it so people will think the challenges are justified for their length

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Legions base power effect is fine, you easily injure multiple people and force people to mend before healing or leave them injured if they choose not to heal. Legion needs reductions to the sheer amount of penalties that their power has. A power that isn't lethal shouldn't have so many downsides.

    1. The base power cooldown is too long
    2. The power stun recovery is too long
    3. You get punished for missing one hit by being stunned for 4 seconds and losing you ENTIRE power, it feels horrible
    4. The base power duration is often too short to reach further targets
    5. Hitting a survivor with an M1 attack cuts your power in half, pointless, that's like Nurse having a blink charge taken away when landing a hit
    6. You can't see scratch marks (and blood, if I'm correct). which is horrible considering that messing up a power usage is mega costly in the long run.

These penalties would be just fine on the old legion and would have actually made them a little more fair to face, but changing Legions base power AND ADDING these negatives was just a big oof. Take away and reduce these penalties and I guarantee you Legion would not be OP, they just don't want survivors screaming about how annoying Legion is to face so they put on all these negatives to give survivors the illusion that Legion is a "fair" Killer. It's sad because Legion is a solid Killer, but the negatives to their power hold them back HARD.

I still dont get how legion has soo many penalties instadown killers basically have none and can wipe you out instantly but a killer thats power is basically useless has to have soo many undeserving penalties

  • @InsidiousSmartfaceLF said:

The reason so many killers are getting matched with red rank SWF squads is because less people are playing killer due to genrush resulting from the ruin nerf. Killer is probably in the worst state it's been since Hex:Ruin was the main genrush band-aid.

    This is actually highly incorrect

Right lets give you your scenario but show the chain of what actually happened.

Ruin gets nurfed (even though i still see it as a buff)

Whiney killers decide to go to survivor side because they cant learn to play by using a different perk or learning how to use new ruin effectively, however the toxic bad survivors stay and eventually some newbies

Toxic killers start appearing more often tunnelling and face camping more frequently than ever causing survivors to get highly annoyed which makes some of them join killer to stop having to worry about getting taken out of the match so fast whilst others get even better at looping

Survivor turned killer will now use perks which wont include ruin and will learn how to play the game without having to use an originally useless overhyped perk

Killer turned survivor will start playing like a normal survivor

And once again the dbd world will be brought back to being 50/50 and i dont even need to show any proof of this just log onto dbd for yourself and this is highly noticeable as by the looks of it we are only just coming out of the toxic killers tunnelling and camping frequently phase

Hex ruin was never the problem it was peoples mind set on the matter than changed it into what it is now today because some people couldnt adapt and change causing them to indirectly change anyway

Matchmaking is broken and not by one meaningless, useless perk. it is just broken.

(Sorry for the long post but killers holding on to the grasp of saying this perk was good in anyway shape or form really annoy me, the perk was designed to be somewhat an assistance perk not a "ill do everything for you perk" the new ruin sets this up perfectly as now you actually have to be doing something for it to be effective making it the perk it was supposed to be in the first place)

This comment will definitely get some angry feedback, but here goes:

Anyone notice that when people 'lose' or just don't play well, most times it's someONE or someTHING else's fault? Not their own?

I'm sure it DOES happen - you get screwed - but this is ridiculous.

Tbh i never made this post to say that i did bad or anything just trying to show the broken matchmaking.

In the game i got enough emblems to stay at pip and i had also used a streamer so i definitely got enough bp after and after the match i even had a laugh with one of the survivors as he even noticed on how bad the matchmaking was.

I mainly just found it unfair that i was going against people who i just couldnt combat at all, im good with matches with say one r1, two r3 and one r5 because most of the matches are normally balanced out but when it was all rank 1's and i get that i could've played better but people still have no idea what actually happened of me struggling for even a grasp of pressure or even how well they actually played this is why the term "get good" is just a stupid saying especially in a game like dbd because you're basically begging them to become toxic back at you

And i just want to leave this for anyone who reads this, i dont want to go pro level at this game nor am i going to derank. I want a challenge and to have fun, not play toxic and either bully low ranks or get bullied by higher ranks if the game stops me going any higher than rank 6 whilst playing casually i will stay there. This game already has a really big toxic side of the player base and im not going to add myself to it.

  • Yea there should be no way you should be getting red ranks at all but here we are...the thing is i use demogorgon i know hes weak and everything but i use him because hes fun but it totally destroys the fun when my demogorgon isnt suited to playing with a team of rank 1s, like after this match i had many mixed groups after which i got 2-3ks in most of the time.

The one thing is its a team of rank 1s working together which knowing as it was on xbox they all were probably in a party together against a demogorgon which isnt a high end killer at all it just makes it 10x harder for the killer as theres no way to actually beat them

Rank 6 is hardly more casual thank Rank 1, don't kid yourself.

If you have a full perk loadout, you literally have no right to complain about any matchup being too difficult. Everyone is playing the same exact game. The only possible disparity is perks, and sure enough, here you had no disadvantage.

Players blaming matchmaking for giving them an "unfair" match whenever they do terribly is one of the best recurring jokes in DBD.

I play casually i only managed to get to rank 6 just by pure playing with my actual skill not playing dirty or anything because thats not how i like to play these games i want to play casually but sorry if im too good to be a noob rank but too bad to survive god level survivors and how is there no disadvantage using one of the weakest killers thats not even suited for going up against rank 1s with terrible add ons and only 1 actual 'meta perk' which i only use just for the extra bp so the match is actually worth it. As my bf kindly put it you're probably an entitled rank 1 survivor who loves picking on killers that you know arent as good as you. And by the way your acting you probably dont even play dbd because its fun you play it just so you can be toxic to everyone around you.

No offence, but I’m a purple rank killer and I deal with red ranks easy, it’s different for many people but since green ranks I have been able to deal with red ranks easy. The difference between purple and red isn’t very large and rank dosent really matter

Yea but these gen rushed, i tried applying pressure but it didnt even phaze them in the slightest, im ok with rank 3 and 4 but 1 and 2 is where i struggle at especially when they're entirely coordinated and know what each other is doing

  • @Science_Guy said:

    That's not even remotely unfair.

How isnt it? Rank 6 against 4 rank 1s im sorry to say this but how idiotic can you be? rank 1s are supposed to be the best of the best in this game so by what you're saying a casual going up against a intire team of basically tryhards is fair?

    I feel the struggle just wen against 2 rank 1's a rank 2 and a rank 5 while I was a rank 12 killer :T

Yea thats even worse to mine, the game really shouldnt pin mid - low ranking tiers with top high ranking survivors and vice versa

Okay I’m sorry but these past 2 days I’ve spent ~25 days grinding in self-isolation to finish off this rift. I did every challenge, played as much as possible, got my 600xp every day for playing both sides, endured ######### matchmaking and queue times for both sides, sat through so many swf groups, all so I could get demon slayer Feng and debate if it’s worth getting the pass to get the David skin (I did, and got fully refunded, yay). I don’t want this to be harder, I need it to be easier. I don’t have the time, energy, or enthusiasm to do this all again, and if the next one is anything like this I’m going to suffer from burnout so quickly.

Having them be tier 70 is rare enough, we don’t need to therefore make that even more difficult because people won’t be able to play for the required amount of time. Think of all the workers currently fighting to keep the population fed, fit, and healthy. They won’t get anywhere near the required time. Hell, I wouldn’t if it wasn’t for school being cancelled.

Plus, you just said you needed to puchase 15 tiers. That’s 1500 auric cells. That’s more than what you paid for the pass itself and that’s a net loss of 500 auric cells, or about £5 (around $6.20). Why would you want it to be more difficult, more expensive? It’s rediculous.

Don’t make it harder, are you insane?

I agree if the next tome is even harder than this or even more time consuming im just not going to even buy it, this rift has just drained every inch of fun out of a game that was already starting to become unfun

Tunnelling or camping a survivor is a legitimate strategy in the killer's arsenal, only entitled survivors complain about it.

Tunnelling is okish...camping and especially face camping should not be a legitimate strategy as the game isnt called be a huge ####### simulator, survivors didnt spend 10 minutes just for you to be a ####.

Yes i get some survivors can be toxic and camping them is fine in my opinion, an eye for an eye. But when you camp casual players just because they want to play and have fun thats when camping starts to cross the line.

This isnt me being an "entitled survivor" as im rank 5 surv and rank 6 killer but killers complain way too frequently about toxic survivors and most toxic survivors only started to go toxic because of killers being toxic to them frequently

How is it possible dude? I'm a casual player, I don't play killer, except for certain quests or fun, OK I know how to play survivor, I'm rank 1, but I play with my friends, who are far far from toxic players, they don't use any flashlights, they learn how to play well right now, I'm carrying their games, then the rift is done, I don't understand how is it difficult to complete the rift.

I dont play with friends, i cant even use a flashlight, im not toxic, i dont gen rush at all plus the highest rank ive ever gotten is rank 4, ive also had 8 matches in a row (being my longest streak) where i was just camped from the second i was caught. so its kind of easy to see why.

I see people complaining about the 1.5 bloodpoints event, and see a lot of responses claiming "just be gratefull"

But the issue doesn't rely on the ammount of bp you win, but with the system in place

At the moment the grind is becoming too big, and the only recent change to this grinding system was the introduction of 3 perks in the bloodweb when you reach level 40 and 4 perks in the bloodweb once you reach level 50

This isn't enough to help with the grind

Here are my suggestions to help with the grind:

    -Getting rid of perk levels

-Prestige characters will have all their perks at a higher level(in case first option isn't possible), P1 won't have any change, P2 will have their perks in level 2, P3 will have their perks at level 3

-Increase the ammount of bloodpoints earned by killers and survivors

-Lower the cost of everything in the bloodweb

With the ammount of new survivors and killers we are getting I think it's fundamental we aim to help new players, while also making it easier for them to get into the game, while also making it easier for veteran players to prestige every character in a easier way

I definitely do agree with the prestige characters having their perks at a higher level, its getting to the point now that by time i reach level 50 on my character sometimes their perks havent even been able to reach level 2, theres becoming too many perks in this game and they really have to sort it because once they reach 20 survivors and 20 killers thatll be a 1/60 chance to actually get a specific perk going from when you first get them

I don't play every day, when I play it's less than two hours, I didn't complete all the challenges, and I'm 70.

I don't know how often you play, but if you expect completing the rift playing one day per weeks...

Ive played every day since the release of tome 2 and im still quite far off but in all fairness ive mainly played survivor this month and killers have certainly increased with their tunnelling and camping tactics or atleast the ones i keep getting

Killer sided 😂😂😂 Dude please just stop playing the game. We need less whiners.

Im pretty sure he was joking, i mean the sarcasm is very easy to read

  • Ive only just reached tier 63 with 2 challenges left and ive been long since burned out the archives felt like a commitment to a overly attached partner aka you cant go see your friends, i dont want you playing any other game...because of the archives ive even started dcing from matches because i get way to stressed out because im no longer having fun i want to play it for fun and get the rewards but the archives just demolishes fun

The archives needs to be wayyy easier on the grinding side, the archives felt like it was made for red rank only

my first idea would be to double the time to make a generator. i don't know if it's good idea but i think it wouldn't be bad and not too hard for developers

I can think of a definite problem with that idea if you give gens double the time then barely any gens would actually get done frankly i even think doubling it would make it figuratively impossible to even finish all 5 gens unless your entire squad is made up of god tier loopers, the devs should not touch the gens in any way period because in all fairness survivors already hate working on gen after gen after gen..

Killers really have to get how boring it is just working on a gen

Instead survivors need like a checklist or something in the match to do and like you can only leave after you have finished these tasks aswell then atleast the game wont be finished quickly and the killer wont just be able to have a major advantage as well as by doing tasks it wont strip survivors from having fun as playing survivor is definitely alot worse than playing killer in the entertainment department.

Do you have any video to show exactly what happened please? Are you saying that the RBT timer was actually going down whilst on the hook?

Also what platform are you playing on please.

RBT boxes are RNG, you can find the key in any box, it's not always the last one.

I dont have any video evidence mainly for the fact i was trying to figure out what happened plus im on xbox and i dont really know how to get clips and send them to another device, but whilst on hook the timer went red and was going down so by time i had gotten off and was searching the boxes it didnt even give me enough time to even reach the final box before i died, but with the box thing i keep getting the key in the final box and not in any of the others but probably knowing how it is i probably just have absolutely terrible luck

No, no, no, and more no.

Tunneling is a LEGITIMATE STRATEGY used by killers to eliminate a target from the game. Once one player is eliminated, you can start snowballing easy. Like this:

-Down and hook, which forces a save.

-Find the last person on gens. Start chasing.

    -Down and hook.

    Rinse and repeat.

No penalties to tunnelers. It's a perfectly balanced strategy.

"But wait!" You say. "What about the Survivors having fun?"

News flash: I. Do. Not. Care. Whether. You. Have. Fun. It is not my job. My job is to kill you and reap the rewards. Nothing else.

You say that but gen rushing is a LIGITIMATE STRATEGY, and you're probably one of those killers who whine about it wanting it nurfed to the ground for being 'unfair'

Killers are definitely just as bad as, if not worse than 'entitled survivors' as you call them

"But wait" you say. "What about killers having fun"

News flash: I. Do. Not. Care. Whether. You. Have. Fun. It is not my job. My job is to complete gens and reap in the rewards. Nothing else.

I still have not forgotten that they advertised that the Rift would only need "an hour a day" if someone did all of the challenges, and it takes like 3~4 hours a day with all of the challenges.

Yep i play the game probably like 2-3 hours a day and it just feels like my effort is rewarded with the equivalent of junk

This whole week ive been getting on at 11am and then i could be playing till 1am

ooo a little bit of strong claims buuut...

    1. Killers don’t want more time to only 4k, they want more time to even be able to play. to some yeah a 4k is a “win” but others find a win as pipping, getting 4 stacks of bbq, or just having a somewhat long but fun match. with current gen speeds, “time” can be as much as five minutes.
    2. Thats because solo ≠ swf. solo is weaker then a full swf on coms so of course a killer is going to have a bit of an easier time when they go against all solo survivors.
    3. The bubba most likely had PWYF with three stacks, it’s not unfair either. the killer had to take the time to find, chase, lose, chase and lose the survivor two more times only to ignore them to get max stacks.

”Killers” aren’t op, certain killers with addons can be but not killers in general, it would still depend on the person’s skill though.

I play both but im mainly 60/40 with killer being what i play most i like to think getting 4 bbq's and actually having a fun game but i find camping to still be the worst strategy in game period, and in all fairness i dont care how long the game is as i know doing gens is just straight up boring as hell thats not without saying i wont run gen slowing perks with my favourite being surge, i want this game to just add something for survivors to do like a checklist they have to complete this will give the match more insentive to last a long time but camping im just gonna say it has to go no fixing it or anything just get rid it is one of the worst and most stupidest strategy in the game

So basically how ill fix it

Gen rush: add a checklist you have to complete imbetween gens as more gens complete more will show (you cant exit the trial without everything being done

Camping: total removal. (Example to how to) add a way to make it so depending on how close the killer is to hook the survivor on hook will either have the timer stop and if the killer goes as close as to face camp the hook will actually give more time to the survivor

I know that being AFK is, but what about farming? I'm sick of the amount of farmers I see in my games, it's really boring.

Tbh farming i dont really see as being bad in a sense, yes it can be annoying but the amount of time its saved me from the archives missions and bloodpoint collection i actually find it pretty justified.

But i can see how you may find getting multiple people wanting to farm to be an annoyance as it just ruins the match so take it how it is but just think the extra bp can just help you with your next match ;)
