Sounds about how often we manage to get the gens done and gates powered in solo
-
While we're at it, can we get a female killer who's actually evil?
As someone on the forums pointed out a while back, all of them had something traumatic happen to them that made them do bad stuff and weren't actually bad/evil from the start.
-
If the killer has iri addons, drops a chase to return to the hook and immediately tunnel the unhooked survivor, then that survivor doesn't bother struggling when hooked again, all at 5 gens... Yeah, I'm going to the next match when I get caught.
If the others unhook me I'll go sit on a gen until I'm caught. If the killer slugs me, I'll hold the Sprint button so the others cannot pick me up before I bleed out. (And yes, that means crow explosions for the killer who slugged me)

I mean one person's 1 match sample is not enough to declare his status is "fine" or "not fine"
Well he's certainly not equipped to deal with that BS
-
I just played Trapper... he's fine.
I brought Territorial Imperative, Beast of Prey, Gearhead, and Predator. They had 3 flashlights, boons, Dead Hards, Unbreakables. I got 10-12 downs and zero hooks, despite my best effort to hook them.
I loved the part where one of them ran past a pallet straight into my trap, used Dead Hard as they stepped into it, and after I smacked them and put them into the dying state, they got up and stunned me with the pallet while I was wiping my weapon... because, why not??
-
And I really need an "Avoid Killers who single me out over other survivors" feature

Well do you really care that much about the invisible MMR linked to specifically Bubba? And how often do you really get RPD and you can always get good enough to the point where thats not an issue,
That's my only choice...
Losing until I get teammates/opponents at my skill will never happen because my playtime/Devotion affects the undisclosed and invisible MMR floor the devs put in place

I suppose in a situation like that but at the same time you could better learn the killer and get more 4ks rather than just 1 or 2 from facecamping.
Sure, because RCPS and SBMM are simply that lenient...

RPD is not a great map for him but also like that sorta sounds like a skill issue.
My point was that I was better off just trade camping like all the other Bubbas

They just need add an effect to his chainsaw that drains his charges when he's within x meters for x amount of time next to hook survivor, while there are no others nearby and he's fixed.
So... camp outside the range to keep your charges and then move inside the range when the survivor is 10 seconds away from dying / reaching struggle phase?
----
I played Bubba normally yesterday and only got two hooks before they all escaped (it was RCPS)
-
I ended up switching out Premonition for Lightweight since I found myself running across the map to stop a critical gen from regressing, or running to reset a pallet the killer left during a chase, or healing a teammate if we don't have Circle of Booning up.
It made working on gens a little unsafer at the start, but after I got my 3 skill checks for Rookie Spirit, I would either know it was safe to work on gens thanks to the other 3 perks, or I was too busy running around helping out to be caught on a gen.

Oh that sounds like such a nice build ! I think Rookie Spirit is underrated.

Asah Pumehr?
Or Dingy, Okuvah, something-something?
-
I've been playing since launch, and I think I've used it no more than 5x

No they say play the game because OP decided to hide all match and let their teammates die on hook just to get a consolation escape.....it even sounds like they didn't do Gens but locker hop all game.
"Down to 2 players, I'd managed to do gens single handed, and simply hid from her all game in lockers using quick and quiet."
They did do gens. Plus, look what happened to the other survivors who did "play the game."
They only need to locker hop before a downed survivor is picked up if they're close by (Awakened Awareness), and before they're hooked if they're far away (BBQ).

Reminds me of a funny idea I had the other day : since survivors have Windows of Opportunity and killers have Zenshin Tactics, it would be funny to make a killer version of some survivor perks
Namely : Object of Obsession, but for killer
Whenever a survivor sees you, you see them. (I wouldn't put in the part where every 30 seconds killer's aura is revealed to everyone because it would be cracked, but we could find a second effect to make it work even if survivors don't have aura perks)
It would hard counter Kindred / Wiretap but I thought it was a fun concept
I have a build on one of my survivors that helps track the killer without reading their aura (since most stealth killers have no aura to see).
Premonition, Rookie Spirit, Empathy, Any Means Necessary
-
People responding "play the game" are just killers in survivors' clothing who hate stealth play because they don't have room for Whispers in their Starstruck Nurse build.

If the whole "stop repairing a gen every 5 seconds to look for a portal every 30 seconds when they change locations" is bothering you, why not just complete the gen?
Normally, I repair until I have 15 energy. Then I wait for a portal to spawn near my gen so I can hop off, deposit, and hop back on the gen to get more energy.
It's not worth hopping off as soon as I have 15 energy because the portal shown to me will be gone by the time I get to it. It's also not worth staying on a gen that I can still get more energy out of if there's a portal nearby to dump it and come back.
I queue solo. We only have so much time to get the energy before we're all dead. We don't have the luxury of every survivor on the team being able to loop the killer for 5 minutes between each hook.
Eruption does not stop survivors from depositing energy into portals. Blindness should not hide them.
I don't care about Fearmnger otherwise
-
I get the unhook freezes on Xbox. The 100% BP Bonus for survivor queue will also randomly disappear and I have to restart the game to get it back (no reason to play the survivor role otherwise; I'm not that masochistic).
I also got a Reconnect Your Controller prompt mid-match even though I had a fresh pair of batteries. The controller and console are 2 feet apart...

It's not surprising to see players try to exploit the event to deny the opposition.
Don't you think it's a little overdramatic to say something like this? How is the killer using fearmonger denying the survivors the ability to participate in the event? A survivor can just let go of the gen and see the portal and get back on the gen.
Sure, and let's make the killer have to drop chase and be out of chase for 5 seconds before they can see event auras
-
You can't bleed out if the killer picks you up, you can't die if they never hook you, and you can't escape if the other survivor is there to watch instead of doing gens
-

Just get off the gen for a few seconds until you can see the aura.... Yikes.
Yeah, let me just stop repairing for 5 seconds to look for a portal every 30 seconds when they change locations
-
Yeah, because each year the devs give us all a new perk slot, along with the 12 new survivor perks.
I need 2 or 3 perk slots just to get the same information that SWF get free.
"Killer's on me. Someone get the unhook." Costs zero perk slots. No Kindred required.
Solo q either has 3 survivors rushing the hook and promotes the killer's camping, or it has 2 survivors urban evading on the edge of the map.

It's strong but not broken, makes many loops with tall walls nearly impossible for killer to win mind games on.
Pallet gyms, for example. Normally, a very dangerous tile to not pre throw because it's straightforward to mind game, but being able to know whether the killer is approaching or moving further away at any given time makes losing the mind game much harder.
I have a hard enough time looping the killer without staring at the corner of my screen to see if a red pie slice is getting slightly smaller or bigger. The survivors you face must be wizards

Using a perk is griefing. Really interesting stuff here.
Rather than hop off a gen when I have 15 Energy to run all the way across the map to deposit, I stay on the gen until I see a portal spawn nearby. Can't see portals because Fearmonger is in every other match.
It's not surprising to see players try to exploit the event to deny the opposition. Like sabo squads that used to break event hooks, which is why EVERY hook is an event hook now.
-
I had a match yesterady where a Myers and Yui took my game hostage. I should not get some degrading label just because I didn't want to go AFK for 2 hours until the match auto-ended.
-
It's also that time of year where everyone and their mother play Ghostface and Myers, so Spine Chill's getting great value right now
-
They should actually have to check the gate, not just do braindead laps looking for a red light
-
I would like individual MMR for either my survivors or my perk combinations, but that's just specific to me since I use a different build on each of my survivors. Some builds are stronger than others, but they all share the same lower-mid solo-q MMR.
-
A band-aid perk for this issue already exists. Lightborn.
Doubt the devs will do anymore than that.
-
Why run 3 extra perks to make 1 perk half decent when we can just equip 1 Circle of Booning?
-
Every year, 12+ new Survivor & Killer perks are added. Add the fact that BHVR uses perks as band-aids for balance issues.
Now, how many new perk slots do we get each year? Zero.
4 perk slots.
-
There already is that option.
Tutorial against bots. Free wins all day, baby!
-
Shooting... Through walls.
Leave that bogus in Cyberpunk 2077 where it belongs
-
I was forced to DC just now because of griefers taking me hostage. The Myers and the Mikaela were working together. Nothing I could do.
Pretty good job...
-
Balanced, but you always have a teammate who decided to run No Mither and feed the Oni free orbs. That, and an Oni with BBQ has continuous momentum because only cowards who deserved to be griefed out of the game will ever use a locker to stop the BBQ train...
-
And then the Doctor sees the gen aura and comes back to kick it with Overcharge and then blast the area to find and injure you before moving on to do it again to the next gen that explodes
I waited for the Merciless Storm to go away and worked on the gen again after passing the Overcharge skill check, but then Rebecca comes along and fails the skill checks so the Doc comes back
Tried working on a diff gen but that didn't work. I just let him find me and gave up on the hook
12 minutes into the match and we were still at 5 gens. We were at 4 gens 20-30 minutes into the match when I gave up
-
@Iron_Cutlass said:
Impossible Skill Check Doctor is not as strong as you really make it out to be, and there are better Doc builds. It's a gimmick, and most half decent survivors can hit the skill checks.
Merciless Storm with its back-to-back forward, backward, here, there bs skill checks? Against new survivors at my MMR..? 😂🤣 Okay, bud

Did i say Solo quee is a problem or SWF high MMR is a problem ?
Solo quee does need the buff
Killers need a buff
SWF need a NERF
Your title said the game favors survivors. I said what I said.
-
Flip-Flop needs a buff. A small QoL change...
Keep the max wiggle progress allowed at 50%, but let it convert 100% of current recovery progress (up to 50%).
If you recover 10%, you have 10% wiggle
If you recover 50%, you have 50% wiggle
If you recover 95%, you have 50% wiggle
-
Dare you to drop your MMR and queue as a solo survivor for a month straight and come back and trying saying the title of your post with a straight face...
@Kosturko92 said:
I don't know who came up with the idea that deliverance pairs with off the record, this should be removed asap
The SWF team at high MMR is impossible to beat most of the time.
Please buff killers.
1) Make gen 100 sec
2) Nerf MedKits and Boons ( make that you can apply boon only once per tottem )
3) Give us old corrupt intervention basekit
-
Killers receive an instant win if they slug all four survivors...
Do not forget that the devs wanted the new last survivor standing mori, but they could see it being exploited by killers slugging every match, and THEN they added the ability to self recover basekit. Not the other way around...
@Darkest_Night said:
Think about it y'all. If Unbreakable becomes becomes basekit, what are they going to give the Killers in order to compensate? Will they get shattered hope as basekit, to better handle the inevitable boon combo that occurs? Do they get buffed hexes? Hex protection? No one is really thinking of the bigger picture here. The survivors complain and complain about little things, but it only nets them more things to complain and whine about if rhe changes they want go live, but get upset when the balancing effect comes to bite them.
-
No one's having fun as survivor. Why do you think it CONSTANTLY has the 100% BP Queue bonus?? No one's queueing as survivor.
Why do you think survivors start giving up on hook as soon as the DC penalty's re-enabled? Instant survivor queue. Why stick around in a bad match when they can simply and quickly go next?
-
The perk should show your aura to others instead of the gen's aura. No more confusing yellow gens with Trail of Torment. (Or make ToT a diff color...)
-
Simple.
When a survivor is hooked, they are taken into the sky. Several levers are spread around the map that survivors have to interact with to unhook the survivor. It takes time, but multiple survivors can each work a different lever to speed it up. The unhooked survivor is dropped at one of the levers.
No proxy camping. No trade camping. No hook grabs. No Hag trap BS. No Victor at the hook BS. No Huntress, Trickster, Deathslinger BS. No free stalk at the hook. No returning to the hook 3 seconds later to tunnel. Tunneling takes more effort.
-
Did you even read the first sentence?
This isn't about balance. It's about frustration.
Solo q is either blind, dumb, or powerless. They only have 4 perk slots to cover these bases...
-
Sure, and let's make killers returning to the hook an instant escape for the survivor who was unhooked
-
"Unhooking a survivor not being cancelled" would also remedy unhook spam that makes the camera POV obnoxious for the person on the hook
-
Do I enjoy the way the event works? Yes. Really hard for people to grief this one.
Am I enjoying the game during this event? No. It's that time of year when you only see the same 3 killers and they think they're being original by playing Ghostface and Myers as Halloween approaches.
Ghostface tome challenges don't help. Bad enough that his reveal mechanic is hit or miss. Everybody's playing the match exposed. It's like 4 No Mithers but no one can hide their blood or pick themselves up.
It also shows how much Spine Chill is necessary. When it stops working against stealth killers... Their kill rates will sky rocket until they get nerfed
-
Pinhead. I only queue solo. 'nough said
Ghostface. If I'm hiding and he passes in the very corner of my screen, it tries to reveal him and I get caught. If I try to purposefully reveal him and put him in the middle of my screen... nothing.
Wraith. He's too fast for me to do anything against, even with Sprint Burst. Drop a pallet? Okay, I bought myself 0.8 seconds...
-
Revert Calm Spirit changes while you're at it, or let players hold Crouch to cleanse/bless/search slowly and quietly.
