Bully squads are the reason why I mostly play Sadako with Lightborn, Iron Grasp, Hangman's Trick, and Mad Grit.
- I can phase through bodyblockers during the chase.
- Pick up without being blinded
- Carry without being pulled around by Boil Over
- See auras of survivors near hooks and straight up go to a different hook (or drop if no other hooks)
- Use bodyblocks against them while carrying
----
She still struggles with chokepoints like windows, where the bodyblockers can slow vault windows to stop her from vaulting, buying their teammate time to get away. It's why I've been asking for the ability to vault windows while demanifested even if a survivor is busy vaulting. (She can't manifest while vaulting anyway, so it cannot possibly lead to buggy interactions)

Wait. You're actually getting Survivor Daily Rituals??
I'll trade you some of my Killer Rituals... It's all I've been getting, re-rolls included.
Ever since the 100% Survivor Queue bonus, I have never gotten a Survivor Ritual.

You need to quit quite a few times (after waiting out each previous ban) to get a 1- hour ban
Yes, there were several matches prior where I wanted to quit, but I knew I had a 1-hour ban waiting for me if I did, so I stuck those matches out. This time was too infuriating to hold back. The survivor griefing me felt justified in doing it, but I felt misunderstood.
From their perspective, they only saw me work on gens for a few moments, climb into a locker every time someone went down, and never rescue anybody from the hook.
From my perspective, Distortion activated when someone got hooked far away. I knew the Oni had BBQ and I knew they had the addon that makes blood orbs reveal auras, but no one else did. They were not using lockers or hook proximity to shut down the BBQ momentum, nor avoiding the blood orbs. The Oni had it too easy and they kept dropping left and right, affording me no time to work on gens or get hook rescues. Plus I spent time trying to get my Distortion tokens back after they were chewed through.
I knew the match was falling apart and the best I could do was hope for hatch. It worked, until there was only one survivor left, and then they made sure it didn't. Leaving your team to die is not against the rules. Working with the killer to get them killed is. The 1-hour ban was 100% on me, but it just sucks knowing nothing will ever happen to players like this.

You left teammates DCing off the list funnily enough. I see so many high level players DC because they aren't happy with their teammates. And it's tanked several very winnable games for me and my swf team. Imo DC penalties should be much harsher, if only they could tell genuine disconnects from ragequits. Even if killer is tunneling or facecamping at 5 gens. It happens. Just do your best then onto the next game.
What they should really do is improve soloq, ping system, let us see each other's perks. VC for God's sake.
I'm simply playing both angles.
Look at the Discussions I have posted. Most of them are asking for solo q improvements. A few of them are asking for penalty leniency.
I want them to make the game better for solo q. If they aren't / won't, then make the dc penalties less harsh, preferably after they add bots.
I like Maelstrom's idea... Flat 30 minutes that doesn't stack/increase. (Though it should be 5m, 5m, 30m from then on, only dropping back to 5m after 24h).

It's up to 15% at the most extremes (and this goes both way so some teams do worse than solos).
For the most part the devs have said that the advantages of swf in escape rate are very minor. Still they have talked about giving solos some more information so they still want to even the playing field, but it's not as dire as people act like it is.
It became much more dire when gens were bumped to 90s. The 4ks I see in solo q have skyrocketed since then
-
I played so many matches where I wanted to quit, but I didn't. Then this sh happens. Now I have a 1 hour ban. Not the players who went out of their way to screw me over
-
Yeah, I had a challenge to cleanse 2 totems. Spawned in next to one at the start, along with Meg and Ash. They saw me start cleansing it and tried to emote me off of it so they can boon it, but I cleansed it anyway. Then they followed me around, sandbagging, trying to bodyblock me into corners and made loud noises until the killer showed up.
-
Thanks. That feels oddly validating. Such a strange thing...

Snowballing is all the Twins are good for. They become worse than Hag without it. The Twins are easily countered with a Circle of Healing, because their whole goal is to get a lot of injures then capitalize. This makes them unplayable.
If left untouched, Twins will snowball and win the game in 3 minutes just from slugging
-
I think these changes would help:
- Hooks are no longer destroyed from sacrificing survivors, to reduce dead zones with no hooks.
- It takes longer to fully recover after each time a survivor fully recovers. This could have a cooldown too, letting it return back to normal after some time. (Think of how the DC penalty stacks)
- Downing a survivor with Victor should attach Victor to them, stopping or drastically slowing their recovery speed. This both helps with the necessary slugging to hook them and helps keep Victor from snowballing many injured survivors back-to-back.
-
No. The others will catch on and begin to work with the killer to destroy you.
I want to hide my aura from other survivors so badly.

Okay, now you're just yelling at clouds. How on earth is "I choose to go after the survivor who hasn't contributed to their team" breaking ToS? PLEASE point to the ToS rule that's breaking.
And here the entitlement is showing "Play the game the right way..."
Newsflash: if you're not actively cheating or breaking the clear rules listed by the devs (taking the game hostage etc) then there is no right way or wrong way to play. Nobody has to follow your personal version of the Survivor's Rulebook.
Refusing to participate in normal gameplay. You catch and down a survivor? You can hook them or (for some stupid reason) slug them for 4 minutes.
But to then return to the slugged survivor when the 4 mins is nearly up and dribble or let them wiggle off just to rat out the last survivor is abusing game mechanics.
Bad enough the killer can bring Hatch offerings, Whispers, No Way Out, Remember Me, use killer powers from Trapper, Hag, Demogorgon, Pyramid Head, et cetra, on top of the RNG spawning both gates close together with a hill or 2nd story balcony between them.

Survivor can already do that but they don't have to give up a perk slot they bring a toolbox.
When I bring toolboxes, I spawn in next to other survivors, away from any gens, and one of us is being chased 10s later.
Not sure which magical toolbox you bring...
-
It would be nice...
I would be trolled and sandbagged earlier on in the match once they see my Low Profile and Left Behind perks, but if it means I would finally get value out of perks like Kinship and Deliverance then it's worth it.
-
P0 and vanilla cosmetics are enough reason for me to dodge.
Bad enough we have to learn the ways to cope with the new killer all over again, but I also don't want to risk having someone on my team still learning the game too.
It doesn't take much to P1 a character anyway.
-
And all camp-the-hook-from-a-distance killer powers should be disabled within 48m of a hook because they can remove players from the game too efficiently.
Hag, Nurse, Billy, Oni, Huntress, Trickster, Spirit... Even Wesker is hardly ever more than 2 Bounds away from a hooked survvior.
----
You want to remove shortcuts?? Let's remove shortcuts...
-
Imagine if survivors could all spawn in separated, next to a gen, and given a repair speed boost for 10 seconds, and it only cost 1 perk slot...

Why don't we swap its aura reading time with the Skeleton Key?
And, if you find it in a chest, make it spawn with an addon.
So if it's only gonna be able to read auras and require an addon to do it, it better damn well be the best at it.

I mean, honestly, if someone is crawling it's not hard to get away if they're trying to tell the killer where you are at. But it has saved my ass plenty of times. Like, I'll heal and someone will try to get close but the killer is proxy camping. And I wiggle to let them know I'm ready and they'll swoop over get me up so I can Lithe away. Or, if we get a slugger, I can make sure to crawl away from the others so they can't find me. I love being able to see people when I'm down. XD
The proposed change to aura reading wouldn't affect either of these cases.
You can still wiggle when ready to be picked up. You can still see other dying survivors and spread away from them.
----
I also woud love to opt out of being spectated. Hiding my aura from Bond with a locker is negated by voice comms + spectating.
-
I often paired Red Herring with Blast Mine to lure the killer to the gen without putting myself in danger (and risk the killer commiting to chase rather than kick).
Before the Blast Mine nerf, this was the only way for me to reliably make progress on archive challenges requiring me to blind/stun the killer. Blinding/stunning is out of my control; the killer has to let me do either of those (they can even choose never to kick gens).
-
What if the Broken key let you open hatches, but 75% slower than normal, and was consumed afterward?
Or it always came with a relevant addon attached to it, regardless of (or in addiotion to) Plunderer's Instinct and/or Ace in the Hole?
----
In its current form, it's not worth picking up. The killer will see the item you're holding as a legitimate key and will priortize tunneling you out of the game.

And survivors should be able to kill self when faced with a try hard slugging killer who keeps the second-to-last survivor on the ground to hunt down the last remaining survivor in a huge game of hide-and-seek (or they try and get the survivor to out the last one).
Yes, hold Sprint to bleed out faster. This also lets you crawl faster too, like Tenacity.
New Tenactity lets you crawl quickly without bleeding out faster (you must stay still and hold Sprint if you want to bleed out faster with Tenacity).
-
The killer moves faster and doesn't have to hide their scratch marks from the survior while they look for it. Both hatch offerings are killer-sided, as the last survivor would need a key for such an offering to be in their benefit. And perks like NOED and No Way Out STILL punish the survivor for "gen-rushing" even if all the gens weren't done.
-
I had a game 2 days ago that lasted 40-50 minutes because the Claudette refused to snitch on me and the killer could no longer slug them without them bleeding out. The killer had to manually look for me, and it took 20 mins for the Claudette to feel comfortable enough to do the last 2 gens. Not sure why it took her another 15 mins to open the gate, but she finally did it we both got out.
I felt bad for Claudette, but not enough to just hand myself over to the killer for such BS. The game effectively ended 30 minutes prior, but the killer wanted to take full advantage of mechanics not meant for taking the game hostage, just to avoid the race for hatch.
-
Exactly.
They added the Endgame Countdown to prevent the game being taken hostage from survivors who refuse to leave. All it did was change when the survivors take the game hostage.
Interacting with the gate should begin repairing all gens at 1 charge per second and remove regression penalties from missed skillchecks (to prevent survivors from keeping the gens from finishing). Then the gates open automatically after.
Just be sure that conceding disables perks like Hex: No One Escapes Death and Blood Warden.
-
This happens to me often as well. Hate it.
I've even suggested a perk in a "Create Your Own Perk" thread that hides your aura from slugged survivors if you're the last survivor standing. (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3173407#Comment_3173407 )
-
3 if we are counting escapes, because: hatch. Otherwise 1, if hatch is considered a draw and not a win.
-
I played Pinhead for a Daily Ritual, and soon realized I was facing solo survivors with 0 coordination. The end.
-
They just need to change the way No Mither works. Remove the injured state. Either the survivor is healthy or they are dying.
No more telling the killer you have the perk from the very start. (The killer will still know you can pick yourself up if you go down in 1 hit and they hadn't Exposed you first, which helps counter Exposed in that regard: the killer may assume the 1-shot is from Exposed and leave you on the ground to chase someone else.)
No more free Blood Orbs for Oni.
No more getting matched against killers with Thanatophobia every single time I use this perk.
----
This also means the devs are a step closer to showing survivors each other's perks in lobby, since the suvivors will have less reason to dodge No Mither users.
-
Why would anyone want to cancel crushing Victor anyway??
-
"He's face-camping me. Just do gens..."
----
"Where are the gens..?"
"Why do the gens keep exploding??"
"Are gens supposed to take 4 minutes to repair? And we have to do five??"
"Wait. Why are there bug legs grabbing around the gen? I can't repair it..."
-
If you are the last survivor standing, your aura cannot be read by other survivors.
No more slugs (rats) working with the killer.
-

Ah. I misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to tbag spamming after saving.
While that's hypocritical, I can't say it's not deserved. The only reason it's stupid is because it makes it look like they're the instigator to any outside observers.
The game's already ruined when you decide to ragequit - I can't blame subsequent players from giving up at that point, in whatever spiteful form giving up may take. You certainly don't have any right to complain about poor treatment after attempting to ragequit at the start of a match.
I made a poll asking when it's okay to grief someone. The response was: under no circumstance.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/344858/bring-the-5-second-stun-back-to-ds
DS stun time never should have been 5s, it was like that because of Enduring (killer perk) and than Enduring got nerfed to only effect pallets, and Nurse is also the reason why it got buffed to 5s.
2 reasons why I think the 5s stun shouldn't come back.
1. You bring back the 5s and you might as well undo 6.0 update and the game might as well be boring with a stale meta.
2. I don't like talking about this because the community is too far gone, but the game is 4v1 and not 1v1. Killers shouldn't fear a perk. They should fear survivors working together.
If the "counter" to tunneling wasn't a band-aid perk to begin with, then there would be no issue of it being META perk or not.
How many perk slots does the killer need to give up to tunnel?
-
Or start the 3 seconds at the same time the survivor can begin moving, not before.

Your not correct. I just find it unfair for one person to loop while relaying all your info to their others that are withing your terror radius so they know they are safe its an advantage that is almost insurmountable unless you tunnel and i hate doing that
So you want survivors who use voice chat through Discord/Skype/whatever to be banned? Because SWF get to call out the killer's plays like that. Solo's can't.
-

I was saying that coms from across the map arent fair to killers they shouldnt be able to share you heading with the others that cant see you. It takes any worry out of the game period
You're right. Only the privileged SWF should have that ability. You need solos to stay weak so you can take your frustrations out one someone
-
@whampyri said:
How about proximity chat that way its fair to survivors and killers
Wait. Why would killers be able to hear survivors?? How would that be fair to solos? SWF would still have separate comms that are private??
-
Using the beckon emote should also make a "Psst" noise that only survivors can hear. (No more chasing after injured survivors clicking your flashlight just to get their attention)
Using the point emote should also make a "Shh..." noise that only surivors can hear.
Solo still needs more communication, but these changes are simple and universal (no need for complicated voice acting recordings).
-
I decided that every time a survivor comes out of the exit gate and lets me kill them on the hook, I will pay it forward and give the last survivor hatch in a future match.
Since then... Let's just say that I haven't been giving survivors hatch.

Um. It's literally the point that it's meant to be incredibly hard for either of you to get out of that situation alive. The killer did exceedingly well and is now closing out the final portion of the match. You are literally not meant to have a reliable way to save yourself of them, because the fact you got in that situation means the killer did better than the survivors as a whole up till that point. Giving an out or more chances to the survivors in that sort of situation is quite literally rewarding failure.
Fun is a subjective standard and thus why it's pretty much irrelevant to balance. The killer is probably having fun going for the fourth kill. So which one matters more? How do you make a subjective thing true for an entire playerbase? You don't. By nature of a versus game, you will never ever have a result that makes all players always happy. And this isn't DBD-specific either.
Exceedingly well = tunneled

Doing gens doesn’t require perks and is the built-in counter.
Gens were slowed to 90s each. Camping was left untouched.
