  • Sean Cunningham is going after WB for lost profits or something. So the hope of dbd getting jason since the other lawsuit was winding down is basically gone now. Just a quick google search of "friday the 13th lawsuit" using the "news" category will tell you all you need to know..

For jason to come to dbd anytime soon, behavior would have to pull of a actual miracle imo :(

  • Youll be waiting awhile. Yet another lawsuit started up recently.

Here are a few builds I do built around Coulrophobia and Sloppy (use a Mangled add on instead where possible to free up a perk slot).

    Coulrophobia, Sloppy, Blood Echo, Mindbreaker.

    • Keep then regularly injured, and regularly exhausted. Every time an injured survivor is afflicted with 45 seconds of exhaustion, that timer is paused any time they are touching a gen. For any survivors reliant on their exhaustion perks, they’re either an easy target if found on a gen, or these survivors will waste time during their 45 second exhaustion timer before touching gens again.

Coulrophobia, Sloppy, Forced Penance, and either Unnerving Presence or Overwhelming Presence.

    • The choice between Unnerving or Overwhelming depends on how many med kits I see in the lobby. For the purposes of a slugging build, of there are a lot of med kits I choose Overwhelming. Nothing more satisfying than getting downs because a med kit ran out of charges too quickly for either themselves, or when wrongly thinking they can get a slug up quick with their med kit before I’ve left the area. Otherwise Unnerving purely to make the healing skill checks more difficult. If gen skill checks are flubbed as well, then cool.

    Coulrophobia, Sloppy, Dying Light, Thana.

    • There’s an intentional strategy here in the knowledge that the Obsession gets a buff that can partially counter Coulrophobia & Mangled. It can lead to them making some reckless and daring assists/rescues resulting in the Obsession constantly becoming an easy target. So either the Obsession gets wiped out really quickly, really early, leaving the remaining survivors in an increasingly hopeless situation (as 3 survivors instead of 4 dramatically tip the odds in the killers favour), or the ability of 3 of the survivors to get gens done AND heal other slugs continues to become increasingly more oppressive.

Coulrophobia, Sloppy, The Third Seal, Undying.

    • Never underestimate the power of permanent aura blindness in a slugging build even against a seasoned SWF group. Even with comms, all 4 survivors blind on some maps can be a very challenging nuisance in reaching slugs they cannot see. This is even sweeter if a survivor is running OoO. There is something incredibly satisfying (and hilarious) about a blind OoO that keeps giving away their position, getting into a chase with them while they are out positioned, only for the hex cleanse notification to pop, but I immediately blind them again mid chase. TTS & Undying can be incredibly strong.

    Coulrophobia, Sloppy, Forced Penance, Bloodhound.

    • The ultimate Iron Will counter. Plus with all the slugging, Bloodhound can help find lost slugs. It’s a great tracking build, amplified by how often you’re likely to get value out of Bloodhound either by healing being too difficult, or they temporarily cannot heal at all.

    Coulrophobia, Sloppy, Nurses Calling, Deathbound.

    • Pretty self explanatory. Know when healing occurs nearby whilst also making it unlikely they can finish before you reach them, or at least get SOMETHING out of a successful heal if they do it in Deathbound’s proc range. Great for knowing when a far off slug has been picked up and you may want to attempt interrupting the remaining healing that might be occurring.

Always love the builds. Which ones your favorite? I think mine are the first 2 and last one you posted.

First one because its so oppressive against people who rely on exhaustion. (Prolly my overall fav)

Second one because i love making use of forced penance.

And the last one because I like having almost constant infos on heals no matter if they are far away or close by.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Deathbound is pretty underrated. It's basically a reverse Nurse's Calling when it comes to tracking and the oblivious effect is quite nice. I've been using it on my Oni and I always get value from it because survivors tend to heal a lot outside of my terror radius due to fear of Infectious Fright. The Oblivious effect is just a bonus for me.

Oh deathbound oni. Sounds interesting and fun. What's your build?

Thats cool I should probably release mine some time

    Yesss show your coughy boi.

  • Ima revive this thread! Mostly bc id also like to see other peoples favorite outfit combos on clown. Given he has a rework coming. If no one replies oh well maybe I'll need to make a new thread :(

Heres what ive loved on him for awhile.

If I remember correctly the devs made it so you're getting emblems for cleansing totems. That should not be a thing. People who get downed in seconds cheese emblems by cleansing totems.

Altruism should have less weight in terms of pipping, too.

Pipping as survivor should mostly depend on how much you contributed to gen progress AND your chases - at least on red/purple ranks.

Some people may say "but then everyone will drop every pallet during their first chase to cheese the emblems".

My counter-argument is: People already do drop every pallet during their first 10-20 second chase without looping anything because red ranks is full of survivors who never heard about the looping.

There's a galaxy of a difference between you (Azame) and the typical red rank survivor. That should NOT be a thing.

ALL (or at least the majority of) red rank should have your skill level in terms of running the killer otherwise there's literally no difference between red ranks and yellow ranks.

Every toast can cleanse totems and unhook/heal teammates.

People that are allergic to gens, hide all match and get caught by the killer in 10-20 seconds do NOT belong to red ranks / purple ranks.

    On a side note:

There's that arabian Hillbilly main. He is INCREDIBLE. He's spent more than 2k hours mastering curving. Even after Hillbilly's rework he's still exclusively playing curve-Billy.

He usually catches red rank survivors in 5-15 seconds (I like to measure chases so these are real numbers).

Today his first match was against ACID (a tournament level team).

He got his first hook at 1 remaining generator on Rotten Fields. He ended up getting 1 kill because one of them decided to stand behind the rock wall in the exit gate instead of just leaving.

A difference THIS big between red rank survivors should not be possible, don't you agree?

EDIT: I'm watching Puppers right now and he just 4k'd as red rank No Blink Nurse on Ormond.

I just had to add that to the comment since I was talking about how chase performance should be more important when it comes to pipping as survivor. Red rank survivors should not even get injured by No Blink Nurse. Instead they got 4k'd AND he 2- or 3 hooked them, too.

TLDR: No emblems for totems, less or no emblems for altruism (bloodpoints only), more emblems for doing gens and long chases. Perhaps that could fix solo queue in the long run. Maybe rank reset should throw you 2 rank colors back, too so red rank players really have to play A LOT to keep the red rank.

What arabian hillbilly main? Sounds like a person I'd like to watch!

  • @HollowsGrief said:

You know what they still need to do: fix that flicking bug Oni has during his Demon Strike. I have legit lost entire chases because of this bug it is so disorienting and hurts my head.

Which bug? The one that prevents u from using your power? Or a different one.

  • Yeah ive always liked oni and his lore, gameplay and whatever.

Honestly im surprised ive not gotten into him as much. I grew up play dynasty warriors, samurai warriors, and kessen so ive always loved those sort of things. And i mean absolutely loved it, it what made me love history so much bc i wanted to learn everything there was to learn about those time periods.

My oni is only prestige one, for some reason i never sat down and tried to learn him. Maybe i should play oni more, alot more. I love the kitana, big bonk stick, the big mad, the built in tracking.

Ive been more of a jack of all trades good at most killers but havent been a main of anyone for months now, when i was a myers and legion main. I know im rambling lol

  • I was gonna say the crawler...but someone beat me to it. So im going to say.

The Carved - In reference to the Japanese urban legend of slit mouthed woman.

Ima cheat and have a second name guess...

The Aswang - Its a Filipino urban legend..pretty cool.

  • :( will u please keep it.....ill give you a cookie...you're gonna make me cry

I'll also give you some nice words. (LETS BRIBE EM BOIS)

Ahhh ok I gotcha. So if the frame rate had just been simply increased to 60fps, it would have also doubled the game run speed, looking strange and silly.

Yeah check out the vid I linked if you care about it!

  • Ok found it. Watch this video, pretty sure he explains what the modder had to do and how he did it to make bloodborne run at 60fps. For bloodborne the issue was alot harder to deal with due to it being tied to game speed. Watch it, trust me dbd may have problems, but the problems arent at all the same as bloodbornes. Probably a good thing Boost Mode doesnt work on ps5 bloodborne...otherwise everything would look silly at x2 speed. Theyd need to specifically work on a remaster or patch to get 60fps on it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jA7sJc4akA&feature=youtu.be

  • Thats because bloodbornes fps is somewhat tied to the speed of the game. Cant remember where but theres this ps4 modder that used some code from dark souls 3 into bloodborne to make it play smoothly but he had to lower the resolution from 1080 to 720 but he got a stable fps. I wouldnt worry about dbd as much it doesnt have the same problems at all that bloodborne had.

I'll try and find it brb

  • Isnt that photo from fallout 76 lol

  • Demogorgon op? Welp gotta say thats a first for me.

His addons are complete trash btw dont know why you act like they are very strong.

  • Id like to see offerings be combined across the board. Like if i have 12 azarov offerings on mikey and 15 on hilbilly, id have 27 total.

Id like to do the same with perks and addons on survivors since they are basically the same.

Thats just something ive always wanted tho

  • Oh please. If this is a bug. Make it permanent lol

  • What killer and build you been using with it @thesuicidefox ? Im guessing Legion because I remember you being a legion main. Plus id like to try out your build on whatever killer you been playing with it on.

    I love my variety.

  • This is actually pretty cool. Alot more evenly split then I thought it'd be. So far at least.

  • Heres a video of someone doing it, not even meaning to. So yes its possible.

The corrupt bile is fun as Plague but too many times I've seen survivors run through streams of vomit without getting infected/injured. It quickly becomes frustrating.

I have a lot of fun with Demogorgon's shred and there are no problems with latency/giant gaps in particle streams allowing survivors to dance through it unaffected

To add to that, plague also seems to get bugged every other patch lol

  • @megswifey said:

I play on xbox and the plague is one of my fav killers!! I call her vommy mommy and she's so fun-- When survivors wait at pallets, I just kinda bleghh all over them, y'know? And then when they teabag at the gate I get to twirl around and vomit, so it's just a party for everyone. Also her fit is dope, I'd wear that crown if I had money

Your excitement and love for plague is adorable lol

  • @Emeal said:

I play on PC, but with a controller when Im on my Fitness Bike.

Plague is downright impossible to do well with, Demo is way easier.

Oh sweet! I like them both. But theres something fun about being monsters in games.

  • Well the update on ps4 made things alot better...so I guess now im mostly unhappy bc the fps could still be better.

  • Trying to sorta know if there's hope for the folks who literally cant/refuse to play the game in this state lol

Edit: because im probably waiting till next gen if/and before I touch it again.

  • People like @Divine_Confetti and @ClickyClicky are probably leaving due to the most recent update destroying frames again. And they have been in the forums for quite some time, same with @RizeAki but he has different reasons.. It feels like every other patch that console frames get worse and worse. If it was gonna be this way, it shoulda never have released on console to start with.

I may move on to greener pastures too because at some point all this stress and headache becomes just not worth to deal with when i can play better optimized games.

  • Yeah its literally unplayable and making me question if I should continue to even play or care about dbd on console anymore.

  • Feel you, havent played it in about a month and the first day i play it again the frames are so bad its literally unplayable because of the recent update.

Really, really starting to think its not worth it to headache over it so much and move on to other things.

  • I love how the first match ive had since my break from the general stress that this game gives me, due to how long it takes for balancing, toxicity, and console performance, is the literal worst state ive ever seen this game in for its framerate.

Im starting to have no confidence. It's literally unplayable for me, almost a month of not playing and I gotta deal with this? I'll just go play minecraft and divinity original sin 2.

Bhvr you can do better then this. I know you can.

  • I like this. Sounds pretty cool!

Amen. I've taken a break as well. The grind is stupid. I was basically treating this game like a part time job. When it's fun it's very fun. But lately it just hasn't been all that fun.

100% plus everything i mentioned previously. I was on it so much that even when i bought games i wanted to play and experience..id skip over them just to make myself stress over dbd. Oh well I still hope dbd succeeds, just dont think I should play anymore.

  • This is basically where im at right now.

I still like reading the forums and watching others play it, but the bugs/toxicity/stress/and grind are taking a toll on me.

I have multiple killers and survs p3 all perks but theres a point where i need to play for fun and I shouldnt force myself to play.

That meme is for the window, of course.

Gooooood you are making me proud my young apprentice.

  • Dont forget when you puke sometimes u teleport back to the spot you started the puke.

Effectively making her have a secondary power. Ig shes like tracer now. Except worse and more annoying to deal with.

"I'm gonna have to grind again in 2 weeks for the half-assed version of the halloween event on the free track, why bother playing now"

Ugh its really taking a toll on me for sure. Not just the tome but everything combined in this game lol

  • @CalamityJane said:

    I'm gonna be honest since I hit 70 I don't think I've played more than 1-2 games.

The rifts changed up the whole dynamic of the game, aiming for challenges and getting through them fast. Once that ends I just lose motivation to play.

Also feeling this quite heavily. Because when done..im like..."ok break time" lol

  • @bm33 said:

Feel like the rift causes more burn out than enjoyment. I finished a week or so ago and would've started a break but been helping my brother get through since he was behind me (he now has 5 tiers left). Once he's finished I'm not touching the game until the next rift comes out, maybe longer, because now it feels like more of a chore than fun.

You know what, I feel the same. Ive been burning out alot faster during the rifts cause I feel like I cant take the breaks I need to continue to enjoy the game. I know my fault but it sucks for me anyways.

  • I wonder if the red viper robes would be nice with the devil mask. I dont actually have the viper robes tho.

I know the devil mask looks good with his basic red recolor tho.

  • @SCP_FOR_DBD said:

Chrome Mask, Classic Robes, Bloody Tactical knife. I've always been a sucker for reflection surfaces. Bonus points as you become way harder to spot on darker maps. Also, apparently Ghost Face will be getting a blighted cosmetic according to leaks by daylight, does that make him the first licensed killer to get one?

Chrome or devil masks are the best for stealth for sure!

Classic robes are the best for me, i like the slenderness to it and well..its classic lol but I see no one use the viper mask with it so i feel unique.

Yeah I saw those leaks...sadly its a set but, the name makes it sound like it will be fiery but the description sounds like a blighted outfit so idk ahah.

  • You're talking about the frames...yeah dbd ps4 frames are god awful at times.

  • Yeah i wanted to start getting into and learning plague but idk if its even worth it..

Look at how long nurse has been bugged, Plague has been..plagued by bugs as well for awhile lol

Are there any plans to fix her soon? Have they acknowledged a plan fix for plague? If not im just not gonna bother and stick to other killers.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1641712#Comment_1641712

Lol, she has a new one now. The first attempt at a Purge during a match stalls for about 15 to 30 seconds, and then cause her to rubberband to somewhere else before Purge works “normally” again (I say normally in quotations because it still doesn’t work particularly great still)

Well that isnt necessarily a plague problem at the start, at the start everything is glitch on every killer for no reason.

Tho i have seen the puke rubberbanding like they teleport after each time they puke.

  • @PlantCollector said:

It's honestly sad that ma boi DudeDelicious isn't here anymore. You both would have come along so well. You both enjoy playing the same killers in the same order, you both make threads about a killer beeing underrated only to make a thread two month later of how bad the killer acutally is and you both suggest "interesting" clown builds.

But i can tell you at least one thing that ma boi DudeDelicious would have told you if you struggle with pallets. Use the new good/underrated/gives you definitely value every round perk blood favour to block the pallets so you don't have to worry about pallets when chasing.

Had my suspicions too hehe alot of things are the same/similar between them. If its the same person..cool if not. Well we have someone to fill that void dd left hehe

  • Did the recent patch help out plague any or were those bugs untouched?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

sorta related but whatever happened to DD anyway? kinda miss him.

    I miss him too :(

  • Very much agree. Plague and myers also have a hard time filling their deviousness as well.
