It won’t get nerfed because the people that complain about it are just cry baby killers who are bad at the game and just want to nerf anything survivors can use to help them. There’s nothing wrong with the perk and it will be getting a buff to make it work more often than it fails
-
Why would they want to remove some of the most fundamental parts of the game just to experiment? Would just be a complete waste of time
-
This is the wrong place to ask, everyone here cries and whines non stop. Better to ask people who have played the game long but still aren’t on this forum

I understand your posts perfectly. You are not looking at the big picture. How much use do you think people get out of DS now? What percentage of games does it come up in NOW? What I'm pointing out, which you either are missing or purposely ignoring, is that since the new DS has exactly the same utility in so far as tunneling as the old DS, it will get exactly the same use by Players and come up for use just as much. The utility hasn't changed. Thus if you think the new DS is going to be pointless in 90% of games, that means you think it is pointless in 90% of current games. *I disagree with your math. I think it comes up about 30%-40% now for people who use the Perk slot.
######### are you on about? When you can actually understand what I write then reply otherwise just keep quiet. Why do you keep mentioning old DS, I didn’t mention it once and I’m not trying to talk about it. I’m purely talking about the usefulness of the new DS idea

I read what you wrote, and I just don't think this theory holds water. Most people take DS to avoid being tunneled. That is as much thought as goes into it. It doesn't have use in most games NOW if you are not tunneled. So it will exactly the same utility in the new form as it has in the current one. So your comments are moot.
Lol you clearly don’t understand English or something. Again the stuff you said has nothing to do with what I said. All I explained is that the new DS will be pointless in roughly 90% of games

What. Are you saying the killer is also at fault for not being omniscient and knowing where the survivors are hiding in the match at all times? Bruh, when a survivor hacks and escapes do you go to the killer and tell them that they're at fault for not being able to kill the hacker???
######### has hacking got to do with it, stop chatting out your arse. I’m saying you gotta at least attempt to search for survivors before claiming that they’re holding the game hostage.

If the Perk does the same thing in regards to anti-tunnel, and the only change is you can't use it to work objectives in the Killer's face, then there is not significant change to the Perk. The only people abusing it to work objectives in the Killer's face were coordinated SWF. The same people who took it for anti-tunnel before, will continue to take it. The only difference is we might not see SWF with all four carrying DS anymore. Good riddance.
Would you like to actually read what I wrote first before replying to me? I don’t care about the old DS, I never used it and only just got the perk in this shrine. I’m talking about the new DS and how it won’t have any use in 90% of games

What even is this question lol. If they aren't doing gens you aren't required to go round the entire map searching every locker or corner for them xD
Well the survivors objective is to do gens, they aren’t attempting so this.
The killers objective is to kill, they aren’t attempting to do this either.

It does the SAME thing it did before in regards to being anti-tunnel. What are you on about?
Where did I see it doesn’t do the SAME thing it did before in regards to anti-tunnel? What are you on about?

Are you even looking for them?

That's the funny thing I like about most people who complain about the ds change.
They think it is such a massive nerf and makes the perk next to useless.
The only thing it does is making it so you can't abuse it anymore that much.
These complaints about the change are so funny 🤣
But now it’s a pointless perk in most games. Tunneling is quite common, I see it in probably about 20-30% of red rank games as a survivor. But that’s 20-30% tunnelling happening to ‘a’ survivor, to me personally it probably happens 10% of games. That means with the new DS, bringing it does nothing at all for 90% of games.
Then you decide not to bring it because it does nothing, so there’s no obsession in the game, and shock you get tunnelled because the killer sees it. It will become quite a pointless perk most of the time
-
I disagree as a solo queue player. The survivors that actually do most of the work, ie gens and looping the killer usually die more often than the ones who play immersive. This bug just benefits people that stay alive, not people that actually play well
-
It’s only a computer game though, how long do you expect people to be afraid of something on a game?
-
Moris increased kill rate, keys increased escape rate. Survivor dc’s increased kill rate, killer dc’s increased escape rate. And so on and so forth. Why do you lot always think these stats are skewed to show killers are doing better than they actually are? It works both ways

That’s true but I’ve noticed lately due to the update and how crap it is most survivors are grouped together so they can gen rush and not to absolutely destroyed with the desync issues and such. So I’ve been keeping an eye on teammates more often lately cause people are staying together more.
If you seen it from the start then fair enough you do you, toxic players deserve it but at the same time is throwing the game which is punishing your other team mates too.
Also pointing out people that don’t do much except hide I don’t agree with, when I was a newer player and didn’t know how to loop that was the way I played, I think I even made it to purple ranks playing like that so you can’t judge on ranks but you helping the killer in these situations could drive players away from the game who don’t know any better
-
@Dragonshensi said:

That is fair. But usually the toxic survivor want to constantly have the killer’s attention. I will have to give a lot of leeway and watch how the killer and survivor interact. If I catch the killer being toxic towards me then if I see a survivor being toxic right back I will help my teammate. I will just have to give a lot of leeway until I’m sure either the survivor is being toxic or the killer.
But if one of them does something toxic first but you miss it, then the other person starts being toxic and you see it. You’ll end up helping the person that started being toxic
-
@Dragonshensi said:
I don’t like toxic survivors as Killer so I’m not going to put up with it if my teammates do the same. If I catch them teabagging and just being a douche to the Killer for no reason. Unless the Killer started to toxicity. I won’t heal or save your butt off hook. I’m tired of the toxicity so I’m going to hold my teammates accountable as well. I was playing Trapper and I was going to let everyone else leave just let me have the tbagging toxic survivor. Who of course was a twitch streamer. But no, they did their best to save him, bodyblocked me, etc and he finally got away.
So how would you know that your survivor team mate was being toxic first or if it was the killer?
-
So you say dead hard is busted because it allows the survivor to avoid a hit where he would have normally been hit, okay I can see why that’s strong.
But what about all the killer perks and add ons they allow the killer to get a hit where he normally wouldn’t have been able to?
Both exactly the same but because one is for survivors it’s OP and broken? I have played both roles, I don’t often use dead hard, but something like bamboozle gets me more free hits than dead hard gives me free health states.
-
You’re new to the game and to start with it will deffo be quite frustrating especially if you play as solo survivor. There’s a hell of a lot of killer perks and add ons etc that all have different effects. With experience you will start learning and figuring out how everything works but you will still get surprised by a lot of stuff. A good way to learn what killers can do is to play them and check out their perks/add ons
-
Everyone still loves to throw this ‘significantly extends chase time’ yet seem to forget all the things killers have that significantly reduce chase times. Both sides have these to help them.
-
Everyone on this forum just blames the other side.
Survivors hate tunneling and camping and rightly so, it’s a ######### part of the game.
Killers hate getting gen rushed, again it’s ######### to go against.
But none of these will stop as they’re both used to counter each other.
The only way both sides will be happy is if the game is changed to negate both of these which doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

That might be true for you but it's certainly not for the vast majority of players, hence why you see multiple Dead Hards every game but how often do you see killers running bamboozle? very few.
That’s cos killers have plenty of other things they can use and choose to use instead. Just because killers aren’t choosing to use it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Bamboozle can effectively benefit the killer the same way dead hard does survivors.
with dead hard you can make it to a loop and add 30-60secs to a chase.
with bamboozle it completely negates a loop that could have wasted 30-60secs.

Which perks do you mean?
STBFL? This is different, you need to gather stacks on this before it becomes useful, you also need to play strategically to either not attack the obsession, or grab/special attack them. You need to work for STBFL, Dead Hard you just need to lose a chase.
On top of that, you've got all the normal arguments around it's an asymmetrical game, the Killer's perks need to be roughly 4x stronger than the survivors perks. A survivor needs to take around 6 hits (2 per each hook state) before they lose. A Killer has to make 6x4, or 24 hits. Therefore, a survivor avoiding 1 hit is much more significant for that survivor, than a Killer gaining 1 hit.
So even if STBFL was stronger than Dead Hard, it should be.
I just said bamboozle in my post, gives me loads of free hits where I wouldn’t get a hit without it. Spirit fury, enduring, STBFL, and probably loads more that I cba to think of
-

Nurse actually takes time to learn and takes a fair bit of skill and mechanics. Near enough everything else in this game has pretty much no mechanics at all to master, it’s all very easy, nearly everything is just based on decision making rather than your actual mechanical skill.
-
Well I’d say about 60-70% of the time as a red rank killer I get 3 or 4 kills. And the other games are usually against an SWF where I only get 1 maybe 2 kills. I’m not even that good at killer either.
Seems pretty balanced to me, it’s just the SWF squads that usually win so if they do anything it will just make it even harder for solo queue survivors than it already is.

Playing rocket league
-
So you tried to help them out by reporting a bug and they reward you by banning you from the game?
-
Please note: These changes will not be available immediately alongside the 4.5.0 update. This system will require further testing before it is fully enabled.
-
The problem with this game is that the devs aren’t taking any responsibility or control over the game and they are basically leaving in the killers hand to choose whether or not to ruin the game completely for a survivor. Now this is entirely the fault of the devs, if they give this kind of choice to killers to freely camp/tunnel then of course it’s going to happen.
Now despite it being the devs/games fault that this can happen and someone’s fun can be ruined by another, it’s still a choice made by the killer. If a killer chooses to be a dick in game and ruin someone’s fun, then don’t be too surprised that you get messages and stuff thrown at you. Again I don’t condone it but I’m just saying don’t be surprised when either happens because the game allows it all.
-
The reason this community is so toxic is that there are a lot of really stupid people that just love blaming things for being bad at the game. No names mentioned.
-
The only issue with dead hard is that bad killers love to cry about it. It’s one of the only things survivors can use to extend a chase. Killers have multiple perks and add ons that reduce chases and take no skill to use either, but those are clearly fine but DH isn’t...

I was pointing out the fact that they have apparently stated they they cannot revert their UI but if that is true, it is something they would have known about but they have apparently stated that they pushed it through because they wanted everyone’s opinion on it and not just pc. Meaning, if they truly cannot revert (and just not wanting to) then the statement that they wanted everyone’s opinion is not entirely a truth but rather a false narrative to look better under a certain light. That puts a conflict between the two statements. Make sense. Like I said, I’m older and things don’t think out right like they used to.
Again you’re starting a thread claiming that they said this, first find the statement before you make a thread about it
-
You might want to actually find these statements yourself before you complain that they’re conflicting

There's a difference between rage-quitting on the first hook because you given up, and camping a strategic position as a Killer, because you want to win.
In the first instance you could easily come back and win the game, but by quitting you are making that unlikely for 3 other people. In the second instance, camping a 3 gen or contested hook might be the only way to win a game against good survivors. What's the other alternative, just leave the hook when people are obviously dive bombing it, or standing at the other side of the map far away from gens?
I’m not talking about the ones where the killer has no choice otherwise or the ones where it’s the only strategic decision. But a lot of killers camp/tunnel just because they can and it makes the game easier. This still gets defended by most killers on this forum as being part of the game.
And before anyone says it, no I don’t agree with suiciding on hook. I just don’t like hypocrisy
-
@JPA said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1924315#Comment_1924315
Camping and tunnelling can contribute to a win though whereas suiciding on hook obviously does not.
Ah got it, only killers are allowed to ruin other people’s games
-
It’s actually funny because killing yourself on hook ruins other peoples fun and killers get really righteous about this and say how bad it is to do/it should be punished.
Yet camping and tunnelling ruin someone else’s game too but because it’s a ‘viable strategy’ it’s completely fine and should be punished.
The hypocrisy is real.

You sounds salty as ######### that someone teabagged you...

It's bassicly like madness tier 3. All the actions that state prevents are the actions that DS will deactivate on.
You can still get healed. You just can't do it yourself. With the exception of mending probably.
Someone with we'll make it can heal you under hook and then you still have DS when you get instasawwed by a billy or bubba 30 seconds later
Thats actually a good point. Does mending count as the same action as healing or does it keep DS active still
-
It’s not a problem for the killer as such but they’re wanting the perk to be anti tunnel rather than it being a perk that allows the survivors to freely do something to help the team knowing they can’t be picked up.
And you can get fully healed and still keep DS active as long as you don’t I’m heal someone else
