How does it make it easy for the killer? Most killers can not deal with all survivors at once. How would you stop an unhook while 2 survivors are blocking you unless you're leatherface. Do you have any idea how this game works? Or tell me you're gonna down 3 healthy survivors and 1 on BT in 10 seconds.
Toxic trash
1 person on hook. 2 body blocking and 1 person getting the unhook. None of them are on gens and they are giving you loads of free pressure and free hits.
If you don’t think this makes the game easy for a killer then I’ve got some bad news for you.
-
You’re crying when survivors are giving you free hits? Jheeze you seriously need to get semi decent before trying to suggest changes for the game
-
OMG you killed 2 players with DS? Damn you must be a god at this game

I know, for now most killers are easy to win. But can you say the same after BHVRs MMR system takes place? If you are winning easily most of the time right now, when the time comes you'll probably face good survivors teams non stop every trial. Looked at what happened to DOWSEY's Twins, 3 hours finding match just to be matched up against the top 1% of survivors
Who knows how the new MMR will work, but the way it should work is that if you are always playing fair, you should get matched up with survivors that will be fair for matchmaking purposes, so you won’t come up against many swear squads.
But ideal matchmaking should eventually put you in games where the chance of winning is 50/50 and as long as you play the same way it should stick. The more you sweat, the sweatier you’re games will get.
But this is assuming it works properly
-
Most games as killer are easy to win without playing like this even in red ranks. If you think otherwise then you’re just not as good as you think you are. Yes about 5% of games you gotta play scummy to have a chance but that’s hardly anything
-
Yeah and I bet the rest of the map was a dead zone since it means there’s barely any other pallets left.
Yes they ######### up the RNG, but everyone seems to look at one little thing and cry the game is survivor sided. This map was probably worse for the survivors.

Because most of Freddy players does not need camp. They are good already.
I’ve barely seen a decent Freddy, most are pretty bad at the game
-
Why would you think you’d never see one? There’s so much camping in the game, is it ever a surprise?
-
They were clearly memeing and just having fun, it’s obvious from their plays
-
I swear every time you post you just make yourself look worse and worse at the game 🤔
-
Ah the good 3 year old mentality ‘If they get something I want something too’.
Thats not how balancing a game works
-
You honestly have no idea what you’re talking about
-
There isn’t a competitive mode?
-
You also have the difference in experience between console and pc players. So more than 3
-
Have any devs or anyone actually confirmed that there’s a bug or change to chests?
Or is it just killers over exaggerating things?
-
You know if someone gets unhooked and has endurance, it also means there’s someone else there that hasn’t got endurance...

No one can give you any advise on Trickster, because he´s still trash.
I just saw Tru3 attempt his adept and all matches had 3 or 4 hooks by the time the gates were powered.
Ah you’re a Tru3 fan, that explains a lot
-
Gen rushing is a must for survivors otherwise you run the risk of getting camped or tunnelled. If killers didn’t camp and tunnel so much, survivors could play differently

whatever, maybe, too lazy to make a further research, what matters is:
1) Old liver allowed to move faster than survivor
2) New liver allows to move as fast as survivor.
Is that actually confirmed?

1% from 4,00 is 0,04, right?
9% from 4,00 is 0,04 x 9 = 0,36, right?
we're calculating 9% not from 3,68, but from 4,00. All percentages in the game are calculated from a default number (4,00 in case of m/s) as otherwise it would be a mess both for the people trying to understand it and for the spaghetti code having to pull off more difficult formulars than default 4,00 x X%
That might be how they do it, like I said I’m not sure how they do it.
But if it is that way then the maths is wrong because it’s not a 9% increase
-
@Profezia said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2110329#Comment_2110329
i still don't get how you got these numbers, maybe you calculated 8% out of 92% instead of 100%, idk, but here's actual numbers provided by dev who is yet to betray our trust:
- Increase shred speed to 3.86m/s
- Rat Liver increases it to 4.0m/s (same as before)
So it's safe to assume new rat liver does +0,14.
Like I said, I have no idea what the devs use or how their calculations work.
The numbers I gave are purely from maths.
If base speed during shred charge is 3.68. Rat liver add 9% increase to the base speed.
3.68 + 9% is 4.01(12), not 4.04
-
@Profezia said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2110263#Comment_2110263
4,00 = 100%
1% = 0,04
92% = 3,68
9% = 0,36
3,68 + 0,36 = 4,04
So how exactly? Or they use different formula to count movespeeds?
I’m not talking about what BHVR use, I have no idea what they do and how their numbers work.
Im talking purely maths. For example;
100 - 8% = 92
92 + 8% = 99.36
With percentages it doesn’t work the way you stated. But what calculations does the game use? I have no idea
-
@Profezia said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2110150#Comment_2110150
In any case that number is bigger than 100% even by their ######### calculations.
Also, where exactly are you coming up with 100,28 number? I'd like to see a source of that information, as I don't really remember demo having that low OtA speed with liver.
I wasn’t using any sources, I was using maths like you said.
Mathematically, if base speed is 92% or 3.68. If you get the base speed and add 9%, it works out to be 100.28% or 4.01
-
@Profezia said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109965#Comment_2109965
Old rat liver gave 9% bonus to 92% default speed.
New rat liver is supposed to give 3,5% bonus to 96,5% default speed.
In case of old rat liver we have 101% total movement speed.
In case of new rat liver we have 100% total movement speed. That's a 1% nerf.
Tweeter guy can say whatever he wants, that's his job, but you can't argue with math.
Yeah but I don’t think maths has ever been a strong point for them to actually be used for working out values.
92 + 9% isn’t 101, it’s 100.28
-

"Effectively unchanged"
@Profezia is right,they will nerf Rat Liver by 1%
So instead of moving at 101% movement speed you'll move at 100% with that addon.
But it's really negligible.
The buff to base movement speed while charging is much more important.
I think you’re misunderstanding the tweet. ( although the wording of it isn’t great)
It seems more like ‘effectively unchanged’ means that the effect rat liver has is unchanged. In other words it does exactly what it does now
-

I have maths written down above. Please, provide your calculations to prove me wrong.
######### has maths got to do with it, it’s clearly stated in the tweet
-
@Profezia said:
3,5% out of 4,00 equal 0,14
So with rat liver demo will have 4,00 speed instead of 4,04 speed he has on live (3,86 + 0,14)
Well, AT LEAST some improvement. Still a nerf though.
It clearly says the effect of rat liver is unchanged...
-
It’s just like when killers say ‘Do gens’ when being face camped.
Or ‘Do bones’ when facing NOED.
or ‘Run DS’ when being tunnelled

When eating food presentation can be as important as taste. There have been studies that show the exact same food can "taste" worse depending on if it looks appetizing or not.
Killers are similar. Sure there are some that don't mind it but the people that complain about this type of thing want scary/grotesque monsters to go against. It would be like being confused why fans are complaining about the new Michael Myers movie when Mike is dressed in a tutu with a rubber chicken as a weapon.
Tbf Mike just looks like a man in a jumpsuit with a mask on

Lol imagine thinking playing as solo makes this a horror game, how old are you btw?

I don't think it's enough. The end result is still 3 people back on gens and no gained gen pressure.
I don't think this is something that is necessarily exacerbated by the new changes, but it's just something that's bothered me about BT for a while. If you can make it so BT punishes camping WITHOUT enabling the scenario I'm describing, I'd be all for it.
I personally think it’s enough, you still gain more pressure than when someone isn’t unhooked in front of you so the killer always wins in this scenario. But I’m also not against the suggestion pulsar made with the radius/time thing
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2102035#Comment_2102035
I mostly play solo queue when I play Survivor. I don't think just an injury is a reasonable punishment for a bad save. I think a reasonable punishment for a bad save is that one of the two Survivors doesn't walk away from the hook, making the unhook attempt a failure.
And I think that a health state plus free tracking is more than enough punishment. And again how is this worse than before? The timer is reduced, it just means the perk actually works against stealth campers but for all other killers it’s a buff
-

I gave an example that happened to me. I turned to look at BBQ and started walking towards the aura I saw, then I get the notification that someone unhooked and I immediately turn back.
Considering my use of BBQ and the popularity of BT, this is a fairly common occurrence. At least 2-3 times per day for me.
So rather than travelling across the map in hopes that a survivor is still there where the aura showed you, you freely get to find a survivor. What’s the complaint? First you was complaining about them unhooking in your face, now it’s changed to when you’ve walked far enough away that you still can’t hit them. Which is it?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101991#Comment_2101991
It mitigates the punishment for the whole team by making it so Killer can't just put someone back on the hook as punishment for a dumb save. The amount of leeway the unhooker gets is increased significantly, which allows these bad saves to not be punished properly.
You sound like you’ve never played solo queue survivor. There is still an overall punishment on the team, it’s just more so on the unhooker rather than the unhooked. Also the timer has reduced so it’s even more of a benefit to the killer, it now just works against stealth killers too so how is this change bad?
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101981#Comment_2101981
You don't get a free hit tho? The unhooker doesn't just sit and wait for you to hit them, they run as soon as they finish saving the guy on hook.
This change is absolutely fine, if they put in that additional requirement.
How are you not getting a free hit if they’re unhooking in your face like you said?
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101949#Comment_2101949
So you agree that BT is heavily mitigating the punishment?
It mitigates the punishment for the person being unhooked, and since they have no control over when they get unhooked I agree with it. The unhooker is still punished if you go for them.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101875#Comment_2101875
How is it a free down?
You need to go through at LEAST two health states (and probably DH). That's an easy 45 seconds of time lost because of a perk and there is nothing you can do to counterplay it.
Are you telling me you are opposed to the change I presented. I'll list it again, "If the Killer is within X meters for X seconds, BT can be activated upon unhook."
There is no reason to oppose that change unless you are actively abusing BT to perform unsafe unhooks that would otherwise be punished.
Well you get a free hit at least which you wouldn’t have otherwise. Still saves you a ######### load of time you would have spent finding the next survivor and chasing them down.
I have nothing against your suggestion, I’m just saying it’s better now then it was. Only argument against is that when you’re hooked you can’t control what your team mates do, solo survivors could get farmed, but it happens anyway when the unhooker doesn’t have bt so I’d be fine with the change
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101904#Comment_2101904
If you don't get immediately downed for trying to unhook right in front of a Killer before they leave, either the Killer sucks or BT is heavily mitigating the punishment.
Exactly so this change is a good thing, as long as you don’t go for the one who just got unhooked, the killer will always be rewarded with free hit/down if you don’t go straight for the person being unhooked.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101813#Comment_2101813
The problem IMO is that BT very much mitigates the punishment for a bad/sloppy save.
Not really, you get a free hit/down on the unhooker in the time you would have spent traversing the map trying to find someone. This just prevents the hooked from getting farmed
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2101813#Comment_2101813
It's the same time investment and a lose-lose.
They both have two health states because a Survivor unhooked in my face. That needs to change.
Also, stop insulting and attacking people, it hurts your argument :)
How is getting a free down on the unhooker a lose lose? They just saved you all that time you was gonna waste finding and catching a survivor.
-

The only time I've seen BT proc in the past 3 months has been when Survivors rush hook as soon as I start to leave. That's not what BT is supposed to do.
As I said earlier, make it distance and time based. It still punishes campers but it can't be abused anymore.
You know that if someone is being unhooked in your face that there’s an unhooker you can go for? Or does your tunnel vision not allow you to see them?
-

Nerfing half the killer roster (killers that arent considered OP to begin with) is a great way to make sure that only 2 meta killers will be used.
I guess, enjoy playing 24/7 against Spirit and Nurse.
It doesn’t nerf any killers though, it needs campers. If you don’t camp it makes no difference
-
@Tsulan said:

It also works against GF, Myers, Pig, Wraith, or any other killer that relys on stealth.
Awww you can’t camp any more with stealth killers? Booo hoo, get good
-
First of all this is exactly how the iri hatchet was meant to be, being able to use it with the belt was an oversight by the devs and they finally fixed it.
Second have you ever had a moment where you’ve just ran out of hatchets so are now completely useless and have to drop chase to reload? Well problem solved, now you are faster and can m1 them.
-
Loads of add ons do this
-
Has anyone actually confirmed it’s a bug or is it just speculation

The only way is to join a sweaty SWF and bring loads of flashlights
