Find some sweaty swf’s to play with, only thing you can do
-
Why don’t you show us all a recording of the whole game
-
The hit validation/desync is terrible in this game.
Other games are a million times faster paced and still the hit validation and desync feel much better and are barely noticeable.

That's tunneling my dude, not camping. If they are not staying on your ass either through patrolling or face camping they aren't camping bud.
I'm not talking about just a 4 man escape. Even a 2 man escape (need 3 gens done) is a pain.
No it’s not, you could call it proxy camping, but it’s not the same as tunnelling. It’s still camping it’s just not face camping.
Tunnelling you would go straight for the person who got unhooked, with proxy camping you trade but also get to tunnel after

As a solo player, that's just wrong.
I play 50/50 killer/survivor and almost every game the killer camps, they lose.
I run kindred, because it's a staple.
Also swf aren't just bots that think "Must save teammate" against a bubba facecamping or a infinite tier 3 Myers camping. They won't just randomly go for the save when it's unsafe.
Tunneling and camping you still have to put in some work, survivors can escape with key without doing anything. Literally.
I believe keys and old Mori's were the equivalent.
Both ended the game easier than it should've been, without completing the objective completely. Tunneling and camping just make it easier to do.
So we are still waiting for the key nerf whilst Mori's have been nerfed.
You see, I've only seen survivors go " well now let's change the equivalency once our side has been done" when it comes to this sort of thing. It sucks, really, because it makes you come off as a greedy #########.
Mori's and keys were equivalent, were waiting for the key part of the equation.
Facecamping is one thing, camping can still be done without being in the hooked survivors face and takes no work. As soon as you see someone going towards the unhook you just get an easy hit. They they either unhook where you can down both or he runs and you get a free hit. Hardly any work needed. Keys you need to do gens also, for 4 people to escape they gotta do all gens

Camping isn't an easy win, in fact against good survivors it's a loss.
Tunneling is an easy win if your survivor buddies don't take hits/ you don't stealth away.
Keys is a free escape, not an easy one. There's a difference.
Camping- you usually lose, not a win 9/10 times. So easy win in low levels of play, sure. But BHVR balance for high levels of play.
Tunneling- you have to get the person, and then get them 2 more times. All whilst other survivors body block and they survivor (if good) can loop you for a while making it a 1k, still a loss. Also not including swf in this. Good teammates will take hits ect...
Keys- as long as X amount of gens are done or your the last person alive, you escape once you've found the hatch.
See the difference.
Camping in 90% of games is an easy win, it works against solos all the time and most SWF are altruistic and don’t want to let a teammate do absolutely nothing.
Keys is the same, basically you don’t have to put much work in to get a win, but you still have to do most of the objectives unless the team are dead.
I don’t agree with either as both make the game ######### for someone else, but people always only seem to address one side

How does that even equate to this discussion?
Keys are nothing to do with tunneling and camping, and can be used outside of that.
How about we talk about how all survivor perks should be nerfed because SWF can use them?
So how ridiculous that sounds.
Tunnelling/camping = easy win
Keys = easy win

I said when they are against people of their level. Good killers when against good survivors will have to, you've conceded this. And no, your being extremely dismissive of the good swf, as is everyone.
3-4 man swf is 20% of the playerbase, and since we know playing in swf gives a definitive advantage I'd say at least half are in the top 25% of players (red ranks). Meaning you should come across these once every 2 games. Now good SWf should be the top 5%, or even 2-3% of the games players, but it should be around once so 5% in high MMR, of 25% of the players, meaning 1/5 maybe slightly more.
The average survivor has 2-3k hours at best.
Otz has 7k and still has to tunnel when against a good swf (he has had to multiple times In the past, been watching him for a while. If you want I can search for the videos).
Idk how many hours Ohtofu has,but they probably rarely play against people of their level, and probably have had to tunneled
And you still haven't addressed my little experiment as it should be easy for a good killer to play any killer without tunneling by your standards.
Exactly so you’re saying 20% of the playerbase is SWF. Now what % of them are actually extremely good? Not much making it a very low % in total of sweaty SWF. I’ve played killer plenty in red ranks and I won 75% + of games easy.
And I did address it, I don’t play the game really anymore as I’m bored of it so it would probably take me about 2 years to get what you asked
-
Do you guys even understand the point of why people ask for kindred base kit? It’s to bump survivors up to SWF level, and with that then killers can also be buffed.
So let’s look at the information that kindred gives. It tells you where your teammates are when another survivor is hooked. SWF has this information by just talking. It tells you which direction the killer is going straight after an unhook, SWF gets the same info just by talking.
SWF has kindred as base kit, the only way to balance this game for all sides is to balance SWF and solo to have the same info

Name a single person who plays at high levels of play who when facing someone of similar levels doesn't tunnel and camp? Any streamer?
Because I can point to every tournament and when good players play Vs good players they have to tunnel.
I never said I was good. In fact unless I'm playing my mains (hag, deathslinger and nurse) Im gonna lose. But if I'm playing hag or nurse I'm fine, I don't need to tunnel as I'm generally better than most survivors. As deathslinger I do have to tunnel though.
I don't think anyone has every said on anyone but the top 3 killers, you don't need to tunnel. That a first.
Hey, how about this mugombo, since you seem to be so good at killer and experienced too.
How about you both play 30-50 matches of every killer, and record your win/loss ratio. You will not tunnel. And you will record if they are swf, what items they are carrying and what levels the survivors are.
Then you can tell me how skilled you are, because the way I see it unless you are playing the top 3 killers (nurse, hag and spirit) you need to tunnel. So if you can win consistently (above 50%) without tunneling on all the killers outside these 3, I'll agree. Otherwise, you need to rethink your statement here bud. Because if you can't back up these words with actions, your words mean nothing.
Do we have a deal?
Every decent streamer I’ve seen doesn’t tunnel or camp most games, op although tofu and otz are the only ones where I’ve seen more than 1 video.
And it’s easy to win games in red ranks without camping or tunnelling if you know how to play well. Yes against a good SWF you probably have to, but even at rank 1 you only come up against these in about 5% of matches.
I play this game like once a week max as I find it boring otherwise it’s deffo possible to show you how easy it is

One could also say if you got to red rank by using swf, headsets and stacking 2nd chance perks. That survivor doesn't belong there either.
Yeah I already said that, reading not a strong point huh

I agree with that but i also have to say that Nurse got her TP which potentially let you ignore Loops. The Question is: How good is that Power, if everything else is Crap over 9000?
Well without her max Tp Range addons Nurse is literally unplayable. With this Addons, she is one of the strongest killers. Why is that a bad thing?:
Its a bad thing because Bhvr should balance the Killers on its own and not around their Addons. The Killer should be playable WITHOUT Addons. This means Addons need to be way worse, because we dont want to break the Balancing.
Lol nurse is the strongest killer in the game without add ons. Get good

Nah more like dead dawg. Dead dawg feels like the most balanced small map since the killer can actually get to each gen without walking a mile. Has some decent close to together loops for survivor. And seemed to do breakable walls the best.
Dead dawg is a terribly designed map, first off it’s killer sided. It’s full of bad loops, dead zones and is tiny. And to compensate they have a main building where you can just run a killer all game if he stays there, which is a terrible idea for a killer.
-
And make them all like the game?
-
Lol at DS is the only reason tunnelling to not tunnel.
How about actually trying to get good at the game by spreading who you go for rather than taking the easy win and tunnelling?
-
It should be even more common considering the amount of tunnelling and camping in the game

I’m so sick of commenters like this. Can people not share their experiences on this forum? The point of this post is to have a conversation. If the topic doesn’t interest you you don’t have to comment with a non-statement like “what’s your point?”. There are dozens and dozens of posts uploaded hourly. Pick one that interests you instead of just being a drag on these posts.
Exactly it’s a forum I can post whatever I want. But imagine everyone made a thread every time someone dc’d or camped/tunnelled.

Tunneling is the only viable strategy in high levels of play.
And if killers can create obsessions and other survivors perks create obsessions but now that Ds is nerfed there are next to no obsessions, doesn't that show that obsessions are basically a DS indicator. That's kinda dishonest there my dude.
Tunneling is also still countered by DS, BT and will still be able to be stopped by survivors body blocking. Maybe not completely stopped, but it gives you another chance to get away. Paired with DH and you can still loop for an extreme amount of time.
Tunneling isn't gonna be punished by devs, as they have already talked about it being a viable strategy, so this isn't going to happen.
No you’re wrong, tunnelling is the only viable strategy at high rank if you already abused tunnelling to get there. You’re not good enough to be in high ranks if you think like that. But you basically just got carried there because you tunnelled and camped. Same way survivors get carried to high ranks by being in SWF.
Both are just the easy ways of ranking up, you just aren’t as good as you think you are.

Making someone unable to play out most of the game and not giving them a chance to earn the points they should be able to.
Yup sounds just like face camping and tunnelling.

Patronizing or not, it is accurate. I didn't expect you to listen to the advice, nobody ever does at first. I'm just telling you what you need to know to get ahead. You are in your own way until you change your mindset. You are not going to get better as long as you believe that it is other people (or the game) that are screwing you over or causing your issues. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong about it, because there is NOTHING you can do about the nature of the game or how other people play. The only thing you have power over is yourself.
What? You’re trying to be rude to him when in the end you basically agreed with what he said and somehow argued with yourself.
You clearly just said that he can’t control what somebody else does so there’s no point trying. But you also said to him to that there’s plenty that can be done by his team mates to save from camping. Do you see the contradiction here or would you like me to lay it out in layman’s terms for you?
And you honestly think there isn’t much tunnelling and camping in high ranks? You must be deluded or never play high rank survivor. Did you watch any of the Botb tourney, they’re meant to be the best players in the world and they were constantly camping and tunnelling.

The skill check always appears and not doing it counts as failing no?
Unless it changed with the recent update, you don’t actually lose DS when you don’t attempt the skill check so you can save it for your next unhook
-
@Phasmamain said:

That actually doesn’t work. If you fail DS is deactivated
If you fail then you lose it. If you don’t attempt the skill check you keep it
-
The good thing about it having a skill check is that if you don’t attempt it then you can save DS for a later time.
The skill check should deffo be a lot bigger now though to help people who aren’t great at hitting them.
-
Yes just bring your infinite resources of maps every game to counter 1 perk.

2 perk slots to make the Killer lose probably half a gen per survivor on gens? Possibly the entire game? Seems like a good trade to me.
99ing Sprint Burst is a very real possibility. However, it doesn't require a 99'd Sprint Burst. In the vast majority of cases lockers are in tiles that have windows so you could just run Lithe instead and get basically the same effect. Stun the killer, get to the window for free then take off with 3s of 150% move speed.
If you are the Killer's first chase and he can't find another person ASAP, that's potentially a game winning play right there.
Yeah true with lithe it can be done a lot easier. But tbh doing it mid chase would be really difficult unless you also have quick and quiet which is 3 perks or you have someone else to distract and help. Guess it could be abused by SWFs
-
DS is a perk from a licensed survivor so you have to pay extra for it or get it while it was in the shrine.
So no you can’t just say use DS
-
This has been mentioned many times and will greatly improve the health of the game.
Slow down the game with better regression or add more objectives for survivors, but also add mechanics to prevent tunnelling and camping.
Everyone is happier
-
@FFirebrandd said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2092887#Comment_2092887
Because Head On into Sprint Burst would be ridiculous? At that point the Killer has 100% lost you or will spend another 30 seconds just getting close enough to threaten you again.
First of all that’s using 2 perk slots for 1 manoeuvre to lose a chase, killers lose survivors mid chase all the time.
Second it’s not really possible unless you 99 the sprint burst, or you’re just memeing around waiting for the killer.
-
There’s deffo some good options but it depends on your play style.
If you like being chased DH is up there
-
I don’t think the OP means it shouldn’t have a cooldown, but more why is the cooldown based on exhaustion rather than just a timed cooldown.
-
Nerf altruism?
Thats a new one.
-
Aren’t you a killer main that’s constantly asking for survivor nerfs etc. But you don’t even understand the point of caging people as PH?
-
Looping - It’s not exploiting, it’s just running around areas of the map/tiles to avoid getting hit and wasting the killers time
-
@Shenshen said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2090690#Comment_2090690
That is not true. There are a lot of killer mains in this forum who criticise stuff on both sides and often quite objectively. Survivors cry about killer stuff and vice versa but that doesn't mean all killers only notice criticism on their side.
I wasn’t on about all killers, just the OP (although there’s plenty of others too). I worded it like that because that’s how he worded his thread
-
Sure.
-
What you really mean:
The more I play killer, the more tunnel vision I get and only notice criticism against killers.

Honestly if you’re not winning most of your games as killer then you’re just not as good as you think you are.
If you tunnel and camp a lot it’s easy to get to high ranks where you’re gonna be against survivors that are better players than you.
-
Ah yes what great ideas everyone.
Lets make a game where 1 side isn’t supposed to win. The 70% kill rate isn’t enough, it should be about 99%.
Imagine how many people would love to play in a game that they are designed to lose in. It would be such a success
-
So you’re basically just making up a bullshit story to try and get survivors nerfed without even understanding how the perk works.
Now you look stupid as this isn’t possible.
Well played, get good.
