don’t create new Customer Service Tickets when your current one hasnt been finished. Otherwise you will be set to end of the queue again and wait even longer.
I usually get automated responses to tell me that my request was received but will take some time to be looked at and then depending on what your issue is and how many tickets they currently have it may take 1 or even a few more weeks for the actual reply.
@HexSlugged said:
well emailing a customer service line is not how you apply for a job at any company. go to their job lising page on their main website
I think this may be a language barrier thing and they don’t really want to apply for a job but want to ask for a human employee to respond to their ticket..
-
don’t you have the
cheeto dustuhm legacy prestige skins for that? Well.. if you actually played and prestiged back then and werent unlucky to lose them due to no fault of your own of course. But seriously. No, no need for even more exclusive and for most just unavailable stuff.. it kinda promotes injecting or selling legacy accounts as well even more which cant be desirable for BHVR.

these are cool ideas, but im pretty sure Stephen King doesnt want anything to do with DBD he made that clear about Pennywise
did he directly say that or is that just the assumption because he usually doesnt do videogame licensing?
-
Eh. With that reasoning there shouldnt be any more killers - licensed or original - added amymore. The Community has complained about Killers feeling same-y for years now with the odd exception maybe..
thing is, new killers hold this game alive and are needed and expected. And Jason is the one huge licensed one thats missing and has no reason not to be in as a standalone Killer. Outside of licensing reasons of course. And considering the huge amount of Media he has been in, there is actually am abundance of possibilities for interesting powers.. -
@TropesDaMan said:
"keep your eyes open" sounds like slender to me, i even heard they were thinking of concepts for him, but thats just a rumour. If Jason ever came what do yall think he would be like? like power and what not? personally i want a camp crystal lake map as well
i would also hope that we got Jason and a Camp Crystal Lake map and that his mother is somehow utilized (eg how the Friday 13th asymm game had her)
But.. isnt the license still split and for that to Happen they would need both license holders to agree? Which is pretty much not possible at all..

June 14 2016 is the official release date for DBD, it's the actual anniversary date.
oookay i get it 😅
but still … the doggo?? (Which would be a too obvious teaser and way too far ahead for the anniversary)
yeah okay. -

June 14th is the day of the party in Montreal. Note that the day prior is also circled, which is Jason's birthday.
well. Could still be a deliberate choice I guess but okay, the Party makes sense (honestly forgot about that taking place at all as its so irrelevant for me)
-
June 14th is circled red and all other Dates are yellow.
And since this year that falls on a Sunday, its unlikely related to new announcements or anything like that.interestingly, June 14th 2013 was the Release of the original The Last of Us Game on PlayStation. And we have seen the dog in one of the dev streams that is speculated to be a hint for TLOU as well.

Thanks for the answers, guys. I wish someone from Behavior could answer as well and help clarify, cause I've searched for a while and haven't found anything about it. Nevertheless, I have reported the streamer and his moderator for directed abuse and harassment towards me. I hope twitch takes the appropriate measures in this case. I had over 20 (out of 70) people accusing me, saying things like they wish I get banned for life, that I'm scum, that I deserve to go to hell and stuff like that. The others were silent or just calling me accomplice as well. It's frightening the power that a streamer has to influence his followers with misinformation. Crazy, really.
you did everything right and obviously haven’t found such a statement from BHVR because it is utter nonsense.
How would casual players know they arent ‘allowed’ to escape through the gate in such situations? Its not even possible for every survivor to actually notice that there is cheating going on. And something like this could also lead to players holding you hostage when you did nothing wrong. So, please, don’t worry, even if BHVR isnt responding directly, there is really no reason to let people like this make you feel so insecure. Good on you for reporting this behaviour as they likely will do this to others as well.

announcing bug fixes for Future updates that are weeks ahead and announcing killswitches which are then also brought live immediatley are two different things though. So no, i do not remember them actually stating something is broken in an ongoing Event without actually providing a solution eg a killswitch or a bugfix bugfix patch (the latter was just done with the crouching speed btw)
I cant provide a source that BHVR isnt considering tunneling and tea bagging toxic. Though it also doesnt actually matter if its deemed toxic or not. But the general ‘Features’ have been in-Game since the beginning, and they are directly deemed to not be reportable/bannable (see game rules). There have been attempts to make tunneling less appealing/effective and has been discussed by BHVR but never have they stated its something they wish to remove - which also just isnt possible otherwise a recently unhooked survivor would be invulnerable. Besides, ‘tunneling’ is also not even a properly defined term. Maybe someone else can provide you with a more satisfying answer..
I want to hear promises of change. Dynamic change.that I can relate to. But i don’t think there is am official Statement from BHVR out there and you cant expect a direct answer from BHVR here - at least from my experience. But you can of course try. Just remember that you are not the only member of the DbD community. And there are plenty of players/paying customers that will defend and fight for their tunneling and teabagging. And to some degree the basic functionalities are necessary.
-
… and you probably still have better ping/connection than half of the players on the EU Servers anyways bc they refuse to add more servers for other regions..

no, they usually don’t announce such bug fixes or reworks this far ahead anyways and especially when its currently still going. For actually major server outages/problems that affect many Players they may offer some bloodpoints…
Also, teabagging and tunneling are always at an all time high according to some people. And its been made clear these are meant to stay and are not entirely considered toxic..

and now the examples with the stated ‘huge’ declines?
All those have some Peak before going down probably related to new chapter/content release and looking at the overall line its not really a huge drop in player Count
And it is in line with previous years, from November to beginning of January there has always been decline same with the time after anniversary event
I would also expect an immediate Spike after 2v8 from all the returning players that just stopped bc of 2v8?

Evertime there is a 2v8 event, the steamchart clearly shows a huge decrease in the number of players (go check). A game mode that hurt queue times so much for one part of the playerbase is not healthy.
Outside of 2v8 the MM is way better yes.i could not see a huge decline that wasnt there at same times before 2v8 (there is always trend with player count going down in between chapters/new content)
Though i haven’t checked every iteration of 2v8 as i couldnt find a Site that listed the dates
but you already checked it - can you point it out for me please? -
were there any killers not available to vote for outside of Legion and those that licenses are currently out (Myers, Pinhead)?
I do wonder if Freddy would be even possible due to licensing
Also i wanna see Dredge and want them to implement special interactions when a killer opens s locker with Dredge in it

Wait omg a little nightmares collab would be amazing! I’ve never thought about The Lady before, what a good suggestion.
Little Nightmares would be cool. I would prefer the Lady, i have seen suggestions with other bosses like the Hunter.
for survivors i honestly only see Outfits for original survivors like Meg in a yellow raincoat and Jake with a paperbag over the head lmao. -
i don’t think half the Player base are complaining though - but maybe i am wrong.. where did you get this number?
Last i remember, surveys usually reveal that a majority of players want 2v8.
but lets say it is half of the players: why would they completely stop 2v8 when its only a temporary mode to accomodate the other half of the Community?
and is matchmaking working for you outside of 2v8? Do you actually get matched with players on your skill level?? -
Charlie, the Shadow Queen (Don’t Starve Together)
The Lady (Little Nightmares)

yeah and Í want to only play against Windows Store and Nintendo Players, please have that option as well. And only with Pings between 25 and 45 ms. And only those playing with controllers on Windows Store obviously. And …
No but seriously, how do you even know if you go against PC players and not other platforms? You really only see the cross platform symbol? -
imo Julian should have been added before Sable - Sable wasnt even mentioned once in Mikaelas lore and kinda came from nowhere, while Julian was an already in Lore established character. They could have mentioned Sable in his lore more and later released her then it wouldnt feel like it is now, where Sable feels like she was just created and pasted into Mikaelas life to make her more popular..
I do hope he doesnt get dropped like some other storylines feel dropped (Haddies brother, the Pariahs, some tome characters that felt like they has huge potential) - though of course some characters feel like they should stay lore characters (like Benedict Baker) -
it shouldnt be bannable as BHVR should just be able to killswitch the class to avoid exploitation.
But at this point? Who knows.. Communications arent really at their best right now..
-
i mostly miss the horror aesthetik.
Sure, the Visual upgrades are nice and models and textures look better. And gameplay-wise i get why they were stepping away from too much darkness as it was too easy for survivors to play stealthy without progressing the objective.
But imo these issues are now resolved with how the afk crows work. There is no real Need for players to be able to see across the whole map from anywhere and also see the edges of the maps.
Please bring back the original atmosphere, with the fog, horror aesthetic, lighting, this can work on Daylight maps as well.
-
the fear of getting downvotes shouldnt stop you from expressing your feedback but it is kind of understandable that it does, especially considering this community and presence of us vs them mentality not even just considering killer vs surv players
I still also don’t really see the need for the downvote system as even highly upvoted posts may be ignored by the devs (see that optimization thread as am example) and its very obvious users use the downvote not only to disagree with a stated opinion or feedback but because of personal or other stupid reasons. Eg i see downvotes on my comments where i just answer a facts based question and i emphazise in the post its not my opinion but just the answer to the question..
upvotes can be seen as agreement or thanks or something but they also may be used just because of personal sympathy for the user (though that usage doesnt correlate with unnecessary negativity)
tldr downvotes just encourage negativity without actually contributing anything meaningful.

A hidden MMR system is worthless to talk about. Convince me that the matchmaking in this game is anything but speed-based.
Its funny because the devs themselves have confirmed some time after the introduction of this matchmaking system that MMR is pretty good at predicting the outcome of a match but the matchmaking itself prioritizes short lobby times over ‘fair’ mmr matching. And the longer the queue times the looser the mmr brackets…
Definitley sounds like a competitive approach
Considering this.. revealing that they will rework the System is also kind of a joke on itself..@DudelPuma said:
Pretext: I actually dont want anything more to do with the forum where i do can be banned for my opinon. This will be the first and last time. Im only doing this bc the "arguments" people come up with here are simply ridiculous. xD
Lets analyist it: what are the differences between a casual game and a competitive game?
- competitive gaming: focuses on the main objective (winning, trying to outdo the opponent), there are in game balancing (something shouldnt be too strong or weak), penalties for leaving the game too early, matchmaking for fair conditions, etc...
- Casual gaming: no Matchmaking, no penalties, no balancing (most of the time) just have fun is the main focus
Looking at casual games, you can see that DBD used to be more casual. There was no disconnect penalty, perks and add-ons were broken, items, Mori was for death on hook, Nurse 5 blinks, etc. All of this is and will remain as it is because DBD is a casual game for having fun. But no, if it stays that way, those who shout "Casual Party Game" are the first to cry and want it nerfed-balanced, which is actually a competent mindset. I have never seen anyone in Mario Kart whine, "Devs please nerf the blue shell, its so unfair!" Nobody does it because it's a true casual game. You can leave the game without a penalty. Look, even in CS2 there's Competitive, Premier, and Casual modes. Premier is like Competitive, but like a tournament. If you leave either of them, you get a penalty. What about Casual mode? Nope, nothing. You can join and leave as you please, no penalty, because its for chilling, testing.
i do have a competetive minset, but that is irrelevant. If DBD is truly a Casual-party game, then please stop trying to competently balance the game while simultaneously calling it a party game. That is hypocrisy at the best…
Casual gaming: no Matchmaking, no penalties, no balancing (most of the time) just have fun is the main focus
thats just wrong though? Most, if not almost all Multiplayer online games have some Kind of matchmaking with a hidden or not hidden ‘rating’, and they definitley have all some kind of balancing especially considering most arent even asymmetrical..
I have never seen anyone in Mario Kart whine, "Devs please nerf the blue shell, its so unfair!" Nobody does it because it's a true casual game.??? I am not really into the Community. At all. But isnt crying about the blue shell THE Mario Kart topic?!?
also, DbD only really has a DC Penalty when Doing it multiple times within a short span of time, you literally can dc once or twice every few weeks and wouldnt even know there is a penalty system - so does that mean it is casual now? Or where do you actually draw the line? -
@GentlemanFridge said:

Is Mario Kart competitive? 🤔
Ah wait, it doesn't hide its MMR.
hm. Actually it wasnt Said that the MMR has to be hidden, just exist. So. Yeah. Mario Kart is competitive confirmed
-
so according to you a game is competitive when the following conditions are met:
- there is cheaters
- Players abuse/exploit broken features
- The game features a hidden matchmaking rating that the game isnt actively trying to push to the Players
so…
Which online Multiplayer game do you consider not competitive?
Do all these criteria have to apply or would one or two suffice?

The arrows will change speed depending on the progress bar color, so when yellow for example the arrows move faster. It's kinda unnecessary imo
ah. That makes sense and kinda carries the info of extra penalty when multiple survs work together on a gen.

The main thing is that they take action.
I admit that I didn't report players outside the game due to a lack of video evidence, and perhaps I'm part of the reason these players are still around. 😅well. Apparently they are not taking action according to @IzziBane s experience. So would be nice to have official confirmation if its a reportable offense and Action should be taken or not..
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4076124#Comment_4076124
Basically the way it works now is the progress bar color will change depending on the total action speed of all survivors doing the interaction, rather than only your own action speed as before. So working on a gen together with another survivor now will result in a yellow bar (as the total speed between both of you would be 1.7) rather than it being red like before (since your individual speed would be 0.85).
yeah i get that part, which is easier to understand i guess. But it is also leaving out the Info that there is still some penalty as well? And what do the arrows mean and the movement mean?

Targeting and ruining the game for others is part of griefing. I don't see why it wouldn't be reportable.
yeah. I would agree.
But BHVR used to say that targetting needs to take place over multiple matches to count as targetting in the first place
-
@Anniehere said:
Always take all the information you have and report them. One less troll is better.
is it even a reportable offense?
Like.. wasnt it said that griefing has to take place over several instances/matches to Count as griefing? And its also not holding the player hostage as there is an eventual end to their match..
Just asking (not you but generally) if its worth it to report this, if its covered by the actual rules. Not that i think it shouldnt be reportable but i remember that some of these rules were already very questionable..

there is two types of Community outfits.
- those that win the competition and are put into the free Track of the rift. Those are supposed to be only available free/with shards. The artists don’t get paid for these as the price of the competition is their Outfits being put into the game and BHVR are not allowed to earn money for these.
- BHVR selected outfits from Artists that are then part of the Artists of the Fog Collection. Those are pretty much licensed outfits just not from any Media but from ‚freelance‘ artists. Those Are only available via Auric cells as the Artists are getting paid for each sold item.
Iirc this Singularity Skin won the votes and should be available only for free - probably some bug/mess up that its available for cells and you could Report it as a bug.
I do wonder what happens with the earned money in this case

Just point at the Gen. it’ll tell the bot to do it. You can command it.
this works often but not always, as this bot was already trying to repair the gen. maybe i pointed at the wrong spot of the gen though? 🤷♂️
The commands can be helpful with healing/repairing priorities for sure!
-
Maybe some of the survs also avoid it by going into lockers! And others may just not know about it
-
Bots can go either way, i recently had one that came to a gen but REFUSED to work on it on the free spot and just idled next to me until i switched to the free spot (having to walk around the bot) in hopes for them to be productive and then they just ran away. 🫠
but yeah i don’t see the benefit of having no replacement whatsoever? -
its funny because this post/this question alone gets many downvotes… but what could those even mean? It’s a valid question that doesnt really get answered elsewhere, and obviously people use the downvote for other reasons than to disagree - not sure how you can determine on other posts if that user disagrees with the post/comment, or with some part of it or just doesnt like the user that posted it, or just trolling..
-
iirc they have stated it is planned for an Update in the near Future? So i don’t remember where they stated it.
imo it is needed. People will be dodging other bc of certain perks, sure. But this is better than those people actively throwing a Match because they don’t like you using the perk!AND the gathered data could be used to rework those perks
-
it depends if they are just thrown in random trials or if they are selected.
I could see the Entity putting a survivor with arachnophobia against a spider Killer multiple times. Also putting people that know each other (either liking/loving like the Lyra twins or even hating/averse like Elodie and Felix) for additional emotions to feed upon. Also Killer-Survivor pairings like Lee Yun-Jin and Trickster, or Oni and his father.
Also maybe setting up a survivor multiple times so they expect them again to then break the pattern.
All depending on how much emotion to leach without draining the last hope too quickly. -

there seems to be a reoccurring bug with these exclamation marks, currently its also on the inbox news where it reappears after each Match/reload.

@Senaxu said:
An in-game report is helpful because it gives support an extra anchor to find the exact match faster, but it shouldn’t be treated like a hard requirement. If you open a ticket and provide the relevant IDs/details, they can still locate the match (from a technical POV ofc); the in-game report just makes that lookup easier.
On the replay point, people massively underestimate the scope. A proper replay system isn’t just “watch the match back” like a video, it’s storage, retention rules, tooling, and a way to reproduce what happened in a reliable way. That’s expensive, and I can see why they’re reluctant.
But also: a replay system shouldn’t be the prerequisite for catching obvious cheaters. Basic server-side sanity checks would prevent a lot of the blatant stuff from ever happening in the first place. Right now it feels like the burden is on players to record, trim and upload which is backwards for a PvP game.
AI triage for tickets is fine if it helps routing, but it doesn’t replace the one thing that consistently forces action: a clear ticket with clean video evidence.
I know they could do that. Can only repeat what I have been told and they said that in-game Report was required. Have they stated something else later maybe?
As to the sanity checks, i guess These could also detect false positives, especially considering the amount of bugs, glitches and so-called-techs..
I would be at least okay with the reporting when it stil worked like it used to. But as i said, have uploaded multiple clips that just got literally ignored.. plus Switch Players cant even use their own recording -
@Senaxu said:
Yeah, fair point from Wezqu: the in-game report is mostly useful as a breadcrumb so support can locate the exact match faster once you open a ticket.
What’s still wild to me is how manual the whole process is in 2026. If you want a report to actually go anywhere, you’re basically expected to record it, trim it down, upload it, then file a ticket and provide IDs so they can pull the logs. Even when you’re fast, that’s easily 15–20 minutes of work on the player side for one obvious cheater.
I get that evidence helps with context, but the fact this isn’t getting caught by basic sanity checks is the real issue. If something is outright impossible (speed, cooldowns, etc.), the server should be rejecting it automatically, not relying on players to do editing and paperwork.in-game reports not only make it faster for them to Track the match but they outright stated that reports are only even looked at with both in-game reports and additional support ticket with Video evidence will be looked at.
now, they also have used AI to handle the support tickets to make sure everything is included (eg i got. asked to State the platform that i used and then the AI wasnt able to recognize my answer „PC, Steam“ and in the past months to maybe even a Bit over a year i also noticed that plenty of my clips attached to the reports have also not gotten and views (not sure if maybe something on YouTube changed and what they Count as a view but i also got less notifications on BHVRs Action was taken..
they have also stated in the past they would need to rewrite the whole game in Unreal to be able to use the feature to save replays.. but I do wonder if its really tha hard to get it done.. and it would probably also be not cheap on server usage and all… plus false reports because of tunneling/no-one-can-play-better-than-mes
