IDK been playing a lot recently and grinding through the archive challenges. this means some games I am not as much of a help to the team because I need to do very specific things that don't come up all that often in game play. this does cause me to die or get taken out early with little to no bloodpoints and even though I'm strattling purple ranks I sometimes find myself in match after match with rank 20's after a 3 game losing streak with very little bp earned.

@MegaWaffle it seems you're more worked up about the thing than I am, maybe you should be the one to chill? I'm also positive you didn't even read my full post or you wouldn't have commented at me probably at all. Then again I'm guessing you're the type of person that responds with anger and resentment to anyone who has a different opinion than you because you feel like it threatens your own belief system, but again I bet you didn't even read my full post and if you did than my god is your reading comprehension poor.

This is a straw man, a lot of people don't like the Claudette skin for reasons other than their favorite didn't win. The main one I've seen is the issue of sexism and how a lot of the female cast of dbd are displayed. It makes some uncomfortable and others angry at the objectification. personally for me I have no horse in that race and actually like the skin, but then again I'm a guy who drools over daddy Meyers and ultimate good boy Demogorgon, so I'm probably not the best person to ask about sexual objectification.
I have also seen others criticize that the contest is unfairly leaning towards those who are artistically inclined, a few have argued that the contest excludes more people than it includes because its a trend that only well done art is chosen. They argue that the contest should be inclusive to anyone who wants to enter and that even if its not the most pretty of art that if the concept is good should be viable to win, something we have seen as not the case.
Overall the complaints aren't just coming from people who didn't get their favorite skin but those who actually have valid concerns and those reasons shouldn't be ignored which is what has been happening as I have yet to see any mod or dev acknowledge these criticism.
Also my submission of Demogorgon in a thong didn't get picked and I'm real mad ;)

@Fibijean sure I absolutely agree, as long as that's actually what's being attempted.
However when the post ends with "Do you ever stop to think that that woman might go back and watch chat later on to see what they thought of her presentation? Just to see impatient people being Aholes? Do you know how many developers there are that don't talk to their community? The majority of them, so stop being disrespectful children and enjoy the game." You know that's not the true base intent.
Instead its a poor attempt at earning brownie points on the internet for being a morally upstanding player. I could make the joke that this is the most prime example of being a simp on a forum board but overall it just hits all the right notes of the typical fanboy who cant handle the thought of others viewing or treating one of their hobbies in a different way than them.

im not defending the people in chat but I will say this. by in large most people watched the stream to see what the next year roadmap would be like and who the new licensed killer would be. The devs know this and they purposely put the killer reveal at the end so that they could make sure they had an audience at all for the mobile section and the fog whisperers section, and guess what it worked. they had thousands of people see and hear the stuff that they really didn't care about but the devs wanted us to know about. I do not care at all for dbdmobile, I just don't have a phone capable of running it. However because of that stream and them making me wait for the killer I do have in the back of my head now if I get a better phone that dbd mobile is not a half bad deal. Im sure the devs knew this would be the reaction and are mature enough to not let it hurt their feelings. They also sure as hell don't need others defending them in a sort of weird white knight post because again they are grown adults and are absolutely equipped to handle it.

@Aven_Fallen nobody is arguing that it was intended we are arguing that it should stay. It's not uncommon for a bug to slip through and a developer leave it in because its fun. This bug literally only adds to his kit and his skill ceiling making for more interesting gameplay and more room for skill growth.

@Iceman Na, the original pyramid head is basically the most twisted and darkest version of the main protagonist in the second game. he represented his anger, sexual aggression, and masochistic tendencies. hes the characters greatest mistake and biggest punishment and its all of his own creation. One thing to know is that the movies do very little to actually follow the lore of the original games. the first is a very loose retelling of silent hill 1 with a gender swapped main character and the 2nd one is just garbage that follows loosely and I do mean loosely the plot of the third game and only used pyramid head because of how iconic he is to the series, ignoring the fact that it makes absolutely no sense for him to protect Cheryl considering what he represents at a very base level.

don't know if that will happen. From everything I've seen it looks like the Demogorgon will be the star in season 4 after its 2 season long break. I doubt BHVR will do another stranger things killer anyway as the Demogorgon was the only humanoid shaped monster in the story unless you count the mindflayers drones.

You're ignoring more simple changes they could of made like adding in the ability to have 1 killer and 1 survivor challenge active at once. Something like that would not be hard to implement.

So as an update and response to what a lot of you are saying I have to respectfully disagree to the thought that it wouldn't work. I do believe that a random option would actually work pretty good for this game.
Everyone is saying that you would only find killer matches and that's true, at first. It takes time for new systems to be adopted. As more people try out and begin to use the random option then queue times might actually change up a bit. I might be speaking anecdotally but when I play DBD I don't care what role I play, both are fun. Its because of my perspective that I believe Im not alone when I say Id like it if I could find a match as quick as possible and I don't care if in that moment the fastest match has me playing as killer or playing as survivor.

Cant seem to edit my original statement. but side note eleven is also telekinetic and strong enough to rip open portals to another dimension and can kill Demogorgon like creatures (this is to give people who haven't watched Stranger Things an idea of her level of power).
@Raven014 Survivors aren't helpless though. yes for the most part they cant fight back but you can look at survivors like Bill, Ash, Laurie, and yes even Nancy and Steve who are use to fighting supernatural monsters be it zombies, demons, evil incarnate, or the Demogorgon and mindflayer. lore wise these people are fighters and decent to damn good at it. Laurie even having her own perk to stab the killer.
I do think @PigMainClaudette has a point with their personalities being more fitting for the entity to take but even then I would argue that the entity could really torture Eleven because her greatest weakness is trust and hope. her story lends itself to a lack of trust of anyone and shaky amount of hope for a better life because of a fear of people coming to take her away again.

The game itself is over monetized. Skins for survivors and killers, pay for the base game, pay for the dlc, pay for a battlepass. I know and understand they need to make money somehow but at a certain point this model becomes toxic to the consumer. I personally only buy the killers unless the survivors have really strong perks.
people may say you have the ability to not spend money on there game but I'm not thinking about or concerned with how I spend my money, as I can make reasonable financial decisions for myself without to much of an issue. I'm concerned with the people who have addictive tendencies or are unable to say no due to a variety of reasons. This could be that they are children who don't understand the value of a dollar, or someone who has no impulse control and is mentally sick in a way that is exploitable.

im ok I guess. I don't play nearly as much and if I do than its only for a little while. frankly I just don't have the time or will to play all that much anymore as im finishing up my degree at university and trying to get into the news industry so that takes up most of my time. also if I have to choose between an hour of dbd or an hour of doom eternal when it comes out im sorry but I probably wont play dbd for a couple months as I work my way through doom eternal and there's a chance that by then I will just be too busy to put time into dbd anymore.

the fact that we don't have more animal or monster based killers is a true crime. I still don't know how we haven't gotten a vampire or werewolf yet. We could literally have Dracula in our game or the wolfman cause they are old enough to be public domain and yet they haven't done something like that yet. I would also like other killers like Frankenstein's monster or the creature from the black lagoon. All of these by the way I believe are public domain so there would be no licensing cost.

I would like to see more monster/animal based killers. How we haven't had something like a werewolf added into the game yet is astonishing.

Yeah, that's a better option.
Hopefully he plays both sides and doesn't mind switching between them, if he doesn't than it's something he'll have to try out until they work on the Match-making fix, which is also hitting queue times a lot recently.
thought I would give an update currently running with David and his bonus points perk. I play both killer and survivor but my joy and love comes from playing killer. I think both legion and doc would work for me as I'm partial to speedy killers and weird killers so legion and doc are right up my alley. legion actually got me to rank 6 before I took a break and got reset to 20. only problem is my killer queues are long and my survivor queues are quick so im just grinding that.

But what if you only face camp after gens are done and your trying to protect your one and only kill? the others can leave if they go down because they refuse to leave without her than that's their fault not the killers in that scenario.
