  • Eh, then when you use BPS the killer will just destroy you all and you get no Bloodpoints, only blood.

Geeze some people are so selfish.

At least if they benefit from BPS there's a chance they'll let you farm after they beat your sorry ass.

  • Maybe but it'd be alarming if you could actually hack stuff like this.

  • Forget a hotfix, this needs a major patch to fix all the crap going on in the game right now.

  • Wasn't just the sound, though, there was no red stain the entire game either.

  • I'll chalk this one up to a dumb bug.

  • The more obfuscated the game's inner workings, the more power BHVR has over us shrubs.

  • Bamboozle I guess? Not really sure. Never done it since I don't pack BL all that often.

It's funny seeing someone calling other people potato-brained, when he can't capitalize and has bad grammar.

I mean based off what you said I drew a conclusion one of the best players in the game both killer and survivor shares the views I have on this perk and he is rank 1 with both so I don't hold much weight in what you say. And before you ask its Tru3ta1ent but you will probably say he is bad at the game next.

This ist he problem wtih today's gamer youth. Can't think for themselves and just drink all the Kool Aid from shady streamers who are just riling them up to make a quick buck.

  • Dying Light is a strong perk. A lot of people are trashing it and saying it's a bad perk in the hopes of getting some momentum to get it buffed, but anyone who's played a game with Dying Light + Thana + Surge + PGTW knows how bad it is for survivors when you play like that. You can even put in things like Sloppy Butcher.

    It doesn't need a buff.

  • I rather de-pip. Frankly I don't like staying in higher ranks and it's so hard to de-pip as Survivor if I don't purposefully throw the game.

  • Legion is good at stalling the game, finding survivors, stabbing all of them and just getting bloodpoints for screwing around the entire game.

    What's not to like?

Oh you're one of those killer mains who must get 4K every match.

    Nevermind forget I said anything.

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

Tbh it's still not incredibly strong. It has incredible potential however, paired with thana on plague for instance or even legion, and swing chains on Freddy. But on killers who don't rely on game slowdown or keeping people injured it doesn't really pair well. It's obviously good on nurse, spirit or billy as they can keep high pressure and get many hooks fast. But the main detriment to it is that you lose your stacks on the death of the obsession.

If the obsession through unhooks could decrease stacks, and you kept it on their death, along with they themselves being affected by the slowdown I think it would be the perfect perk.

All killers rely on game slowdown....

  • DL + Chains + Thana = headache.

  • Bah there too many bugs with this latest chapter.

    It's a headache.

Agree to disagree. You seem to be under the impression that the killer is in control of the match and that isn't the case.

The killer simply takes advantage of mistakes the survivors make. I get 4Ks all the time. All day long, all night long. But a 4 man Red rank SWF with good game knowledge will have complete control of the match and that's for the simple fact that it's a 4v1 at the end of the day.

You seem to be under the impression that the survivors are in control of the match. That isn't the case.

  • @FiftyCalReaper said:

A full team of skilled Red rank survivors on comms will beat the best killer in the world any day of the week. Survivors don't need anymore powers. Besides, that wouldn't make sense within the lore. The killer is supposed to be strong and scary, it isn't supposed to be a level playing field. That's why it's 4v1. Survivors also have a good amount of strong perks. Those are your powers right there. Dead Hard, Head On, Balanced Landing, DS, BT.

    Not really.

i am, quite often. like i said i run stake out so its even more beneficial for me to stay awake. and i've been doing just fine.

You are like the only survivor who bothers staying awake while fighting Freddy.

  • And of course.

I know Lery’s has a couple of pallets in the center area similar to most of Hawkin’s pallets where they are a horrible idea to loop, but if the killer leaves them or the Survivor throws them down early enough, they can help the window loops around the staircase in that area making it a near infinite.

Palettes never make ifnintes. You can just break them.

  • Yuck PSN.

  • Wow.; That's bad.

  • @Mookywolf said:

Freddy's traps only work while asleep. theres three different ways to wake up, someone waking you up, failing a skillcheck, and going to the alarm clock. and with the recent Oblivious buff, waking up is even more worth it. do one of those three things and Freddy only has his gen teleport. yes, he can smack you into the dream world, but thats you failing to loop or lose him. the timer, just pay close attention and you'll be fine. im someone who runs stake out and has faced quite a few Freddies since the Oblivious buff, so i know how little he can do when you're awake.

Like anyone is awake during a match with Freddy. That's not a valid argument.

  • Would really rather see Spirit nerfed before Freddy.

The only issue I have with Freddy is his immunity to Borrowed Time. Which is actually a big deal, but not something I'd take the pitchforks out for.

  • If you've been playing for 3000 hours there's no doubt that the game can get stale.

And the fact that you've been playing for 3000 hours... means that you loved this game absolutely and couldn't get enough of it.

Survivor powers would be nice but I doubt that BHVR will ever do it.

  • I see no difference. In fact I saw more survivors DCing before the event than during the event.

Plague with red vomit is very strong, I really can't see a cleanse meta happening in the near future, unless some new mechanics are added.

The new mechanics have been added, it's called Dying Light and Surge.

  • Tier List:

    S-Tier

    • Feng Min - because she's so cute!!! Bunny Feng Now please shut up and take my money.

    A-Tier

    • Laurie - Laurie mains tend to be great at looping the killer and are very competent players.
    • Dwight - Dwight player tend to play smart but have a tendency to DC sometimes when the match goes bad for them at the start of the game. Good at all typical survivor tasks and is usually considerate of teammates.
    • Ash - Ash players tend to be good at looping and you can rely on them to waste the killer's time.
    • Steve - Steve players are usually very good at the game and they usually take one for the team. His natural camou also makes him good as a stealth player.
    • Ace - tends to be great loopers and sometimes they'll bring a nice Open-Handed perk to boost my Bond. I give him two cheers.
    • Bill - one of the best teammates to have always has Borrowed Time and can be counted on for safe hook rescues.

    B-Tier

    • Jeff - Jeff players tend to be good players. Never had a Jeff sandbag me. Would be higher if only heweren't so big, hard to stealth with him.
    • Jane - Jane mains are similar to Jeff, tend to be good players but are lousy at stealth. Usually play well and for some reason I see a lot of them packing instaheals which they use on you.
    • Kate - Kate mains tend to be good at looping but also tend not to be team players. But she wears sexy outfits so I stare at her while she does gens and miss my skill checks.

    C-Tier

    • Meg - Meg players tend to be good at the game and know how to run the killer. But they usually dress in bright white flashy outfits and they usually don't know how to play like teamplayers.
    • Francis - tends to lonewolf, good at stealth, not a teamplayer usually but not a bad teammate all-in-all and tends to be reliable.
    • Tapp - Tapp is similar to Francis but is more team-oriented, I like playing with Tapps in my team.

    D-Tier

    • David - always runs around naked, loves to farm hooks and always plays dangerously. Sometimes is a good looper but usually messes up with his stupid heroics.
    • Jake - Usually plays like a David but has more tendency to be good at looping.
    • Nancy - Nancy players are similar to Claudettes for some reason and we all know she likes to hide in lockers. She puts Dwight to shame.

    F-Tier

    • Claudette - always hiding in the corner of the map, never does gens, when you're on the hook she's busy self-caring or hiding in a locker. She also sandbags and farms. Really good at bringing the killer to your gen. She is by far the worst teammate in general.
    • Nea - queen of sandbagging and usually just Crab walks the entire map, always plays it safe, never does gens in killer radius and generally annoying as a teammate.

    Omega-Tier

    • Quentin - not enough data Legendary Pokemon doesn't show up on my Pokedex. Will Reserve judgement.

  • We will all eventually get better at the map. I'm still learning all the totem spawns, there are times I can't find the Ruin on this map. It's similar to Lery's in that the inner spawns are harder to find.

Once everyone's familiar we'll begin seeing if it's really survivor or killer-sided. That said I still think it's fairly-killer sided, but I think most people just don't like the map (on both sides).

  • Heathens!!! Bow to the Lady of Stealth, I'll show you how it's done!

  • This post is objectively wrong... until it gets deleted.

I find most streamers obnoxious, arrogant braggarts.

For example, I have problems with my reaction time with loops and mind games. It has less to do with "thinking" than my neurobiology, for which I am taking medication that slow reaction time. That means I always have more success in playing stealthy Claudette. But that can only go so far.

For some the issue is framerates on their PC, or internet latency. Either way, not everyone can loop at a god level.

I also detest streamers, not only are many of them arrogant braggarts, almost all of them are bad role models and teach their fans how to be terrible human beings. And they push all sorts of rubbish propaganda; nothing gets people more emotionally involved than bi-partisan politics.

Most DBD streamers seem to actively push the Survivor vs. Killer narrative and this results in the uber toxic community we have.

  • It's not a problem to be stuck at rank 15.

Frankly I want to go back to rank 15, I look forward to season resets. I end up in Purple and red ranks after a few days of hard playing and frankly it's no fun being in the high ranks. I rather screw around in the lower ranks.

Just work on getting better at your rank. If you think the Survivor teammates you get at higher ranks are any better than the ones at lower rank, this isn't necessarily true. There are lots of potato survivors at higher ranks who just immerse all game or farm the heck out of you.

Killers are less likely to run into toxic SWF commando squads at Rank14 so it's actually a blessing to stay at that rank. Enjoy your time in the lower ranks higher ranks are not anything to aspire for.

Okay so I main Plague/Spirit and every single time I see survivors not cleansing it weirds me out because you just removed all elements of stealth you might've had while also forcing broken onto yourself and any allies I might not have found yet. Meanwhile if you cleanse you give her the corrupt purge which all you have to do is be sneaky for 60 seconds. (Possibly a bit more) and she now has to rebreak each of you guys. Especially if youre a well coordinated team. So can someone give me a real good reason to not cleanse against her and how it somehow counters her?

If your team is full of good loopers and you are well-coordinated going no-heal is better against her than the usual cleanse/stealth approach.

When denied her corrupt purge she is basically an M1 killer, so she is vulnerable to looping. Players who are good at looping can run her around a long time while the other three are rushing gens.

Since no-heal is meta in the highest ranks people just run Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time and don't bother healing until all the gens are done. It is fast and effective... but only if everyone on the team is good at looping.

  • It's less a counter and more like a compromise.

Plague is a lot stronger than people give her credit for. It's just killers pushing their "Killer is Victimized" propaganda narrative. Nobody is saying she's as strong as Spirit but she's not exactly useless. While it's true you can loop her around like an M1 killer, she still turns you all broken and she still hard counters every single healing perk from Self Care to We'll Make it as well as every stealth perk.

She's more the victim of the meta, if survivors are specced to no-heal she's bad. If they aren't, she's at least decent. And she has strong synergies with many killer perks.

  • You also don't necessarily need to suffer through the pallets, you can learn to bait them out, harder than just not respecting them but it works. You can also just use Enduring and or Spirit Fury.

  • @JustAFeeling said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/721319#Comment_721319

Yeah that's what I say the Demogorgon is does great on that level but for killers like Myers the loops are insane even for Ghostface and survivor's who play the map aren't going to stick around at those pallets they drop them an then run to the next room are just out of your sight, I'm not saying the level is a bad design it's the Fresh's map we got it has a thousand pallets which is bad for killers who are not good at stopping loops immediately that's all

There are almost no loops on the map without balanced landing. The only loop in the map without perks is the double pallet room. Everywhere else is 100% unsafe.

If you are having trouble baiting pallets out use Spirit Fury and/or Enduring.

  • Myers is really strong on this map. Especially in stealth myers mode.

  • Who'd the killer be, though?

Also instead of Sam and Dean I rather have human Castiel as the survivor. His screams would be a lot more fun to listen to, hehehhehee.

  • Scratched Mirror Myers is the best killer in the game. Fun without being unfair, lots of stalking and interesting chases. Some maps make him bad, like Lery's or Hawkin's, but in general this killer is the best and most fun to go against. Great both as survivor and as killer.

But is not fair not to consider the average player, which is most of the player base. Not everyone gets to red ranks or plays every day, so saying you have to use it cause you are not good enough doesn't seem fair and kind of makes my point.

Even if you are an average player ruin shouldn't be soooo necessary

If you want to talk average player, let's talk about the average survivor who isn't skilled enough to Gen rush and loop and can be beaten by any killer. That's without ruin.

    Sorry, your argument is rejected.

  • @arslaN said:

I mostly play survivor and I understand why some people complain because some of the loops are ridiculous and they take so much of your time while you can't really do anything as killer. Ironworks window is a good example of this.

You can close the loop in a second with Bamboozle, just so you know.

If that were the case, then games like COD wouldn't have such big player bases

Call of Duty isn't Dead by Daylight.

The Asymmetric Nature of this game makes the pvp a lot more intense and can make it feel a lot more unfair for one side than the other.

Survivors who are new to this game have to deal with a lot more than a newb in a Call of Duty game.

It's not bullying if you don't tunnel or facecamp or t-bag or light spam.

If you are a person with 1,000s of hours in the game going up against someone who just bought it yesterday, they are going to get "bullied" even if you go easy on them.

Bullied not in the sense of you being malicious and purposefully making them feel bad, but the reality is they will just be outclassed and it won't be a competitive game for anyone.

  • @Fng36 said:

While I agree regularly getting off should not exist 2 body blocks and wiggling fast as possible cant get you off is kinda sad. I know without body blocking you should not ever really get off but why even with blocking and a broken hook can he still effortlessly get me on a hook . Survivors cant get off shoulder short of a 3 man body block and hook not being close even than sometimes not enough

Hook spawns were adjusted some time back because killers were complaining that survivors escaped too often. This happened after a buff that spaced hooks a little further apart, as I recall. Most Maps now are dotted with hooks which makes sabotage and doing wiggle builds useless. That's why perks like Saboteur, Flip Flop and Boil Over are trash tier.

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

I think a good way to combat this would be a new survivor perk. I'm thinking something like "Rowdy". It's literally the exact opposite of Iron Grasp.

We already got a perk for this, it's called "Boil Over." It's a garbage tier perk, tough, but it's what we got. Perk that is the opposite of Iron Grasp would be welcome, but would probably be OP in conjunction with other escape perks like Flip Flop Tenacity and boil over.
