It's not a nerf. It's a tremendous buff.
Consider that BT is powerful and a meta perk, much more useful than OOO. OOO is only really dangerous against the right kind of survivor. Almost nobody runs OOO.
-
It's to help anyone who's on hook so there's no time pressure. Also it's also done to mindgame the killer and lull them into a false sense of security. The guy on the hook knows you opened the gates already because he can see you opening them.
Personally I don't because there's enough time to do rescue usually. But it's a valid technique.

You need to get on rank 1, the queue are max one minute 😁
I'm never gonna reach Rank 1 Killer, would take me forever. Besides I'm a survivor main! I only play killer from time to time to mix it up.
But I really did want to play killer and use some streamers on my killers. But not with this queue.
-
The perk is strong. It's important to remember that perks do not exist in a vacuum. They become strong because of synergies.
There are a lot of things in the game right now that synergize with Dying Light. It's a strong perk.
-
Sigh, 3 Survivors used BPS, last one had Escape Cake.
Killer DC's before match loads and we all lose our BPS.
-
I'm always up for Myers buffs.

@Dreamnomad You do have a point. From my experience though the killer can communicate that they want to farm by picking up a survivor and not hooking them on the first available hook. Or slugging them, hitting a gen with their weapon and then letting the survivor wiggle out. The hard part is catching a survivor to start this sort of communication in the first place.
Yeah there are many easy ways to show you want to farm.
The most obvious way is to just flat out dominate everyone and smash them to the ground, but instead of the final hook you just dribble them over and over on the ground until they get back up. Most survivors will understand that you are letting them go at that point.
Then you smack a gen or a smack a palette so they undertand what you want them to do.
Sometimes you can convince them at the start of the match but I prefer playing the match normally until I am about to "lose" and then we can farm after. That way we both had fun normally until we got beat, then it turns into farm mode and nobody has any hard feelings.
You don't need to kill 2 people for this. That helps secure it, but it's possible to keep everyone alive if you tunnel one guy and then dribble him. he becomes convinced you're a farme.r
-
PC. 10 minutes is a little long, so I'll draw the line there and go back to Survivor.
-
Not really. Nobody is entitled to anything. If the killer doesn't want one guy to farm that's his business. It's a dick move but totally legit.
-
I actually have a much easier time facing Nurse than Spirit. Significantly easier actually. In 10 matches against Spirit I will probably only live once. In 10 matches against Nurse I will probably survive 4-5 times. This is against red and purples.
And people tend to insta-DC when downed by Spirit, which exacerbates the problem. People don't really DC as much against Nurse.
-
I'm far from an expert, and I'm really just a newb killer. But my experience from the survivor side should help.
First, the chainsaw aiming is harder than it looks. It's actually the hardest part of playing Billy in my experience. I don't know how they aim around corners when they get me but not all of them can do it. So work on the chainsaw aim I guess?
Survivors when fighting you will try to confuse your chainsaw by running around obstacles. When this happens you have two choices: stick to your guns and keep trying to hit with the chainsaw, or use M1. In my opinion you should know when to use M1 and when to chainsaw. Unless you're a god level expert M1 is the better choice. So while starting out learn to use M1 instead of the chainsaw in these dubious spots.
That's all I have for you. I'm sure the expert Billy's can tell you more.

If you want less Spirit/Nurse advocate for the lower tier killers to get buffs.
Survivors bully the weak killers and then wonder why all they get is Nurse/Spirit.
Many killers play Spirit/Nurse because she's one of the few actual viable killers, not just because they want to.
I've never been against buffing killers. Especially the non-meta ones.
-
Yeah I expected as much. I get it, she's the killer that you can quickly get downs and hooks on, so makes her ideal to grind with. But grrrrr such a pain!
-
Just met my first "Co-op" killer.
After a rash of annoying SPirit games went into a game and heard the familiar screams as Doctor zapped us all. I'm like, "Aww no" not that Doctor is hard to beat, just find him annoying to fight.
After we got beat he dribbles us to show he's gonna let us go. He beats us all to an inch of our life then lets us finish the last gen and escape. Hehhee.
Everyone scored 24k+ base thanks Doc just what we needed.
-
Ruin is not a must-use perk. It's just something you use when you're not good at hunting survivors.
-
Thankfully no.
It isn't, precisely to stop combos like the one you thought up of.
-
I've already earned about 500,000BP but man am I sick of fighting Spirit.
-
It's not normal to get 10 spirits in 15 games. It's the Bloodhunt I tell ya!
(BTW I just died)
-
I thought they removed the OH Stacking.
-
What I'm experiencing is similar, but you clearly get the Killer DC message and the game results is as in the picture.
-
How do you know it doesn't work? Can you hear yourself when you're injured?
If not it's working.
-
I've fought tons of Demogorgons.
-
We can nerf Instaheals when instadowns and instakills are nerfed.
-
Six games in now. Died 3 times. Escaped the other two, killer DC'd when we smashed his Ruin on the last.
Not a single game have I been in a farming simulator.
-
Oh thank god Peanits finally confirmed it!
Thanks.

I know right.
So funny when waiting in the lobby as Plague and all 4 survs have medkits
You don't know the half of it.
If I'm not running No Mither build I tend to run altruistic builds. My current build is Inner Strength, We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge and Fixated. Plague effectively turns me perkless.
-
If they delay the event until all the bugs are fixed.... we are never playing the event.

Sounds like deranking to me.
That's what I thought at first, but the timing is uncanny. The DC happens at the exact same time when it happens. The precision is not likely from humans who are deranking. So it probably is a bug that DCs me from the game or something.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I’m not so sure it’s intentional anymore. It’s happening so often to me that I’m wondering if it’s a bug related to returning survivors back to the new lobby/party screen.
Yeah I also thinking it's a bug. I already put in a bug report so let's let BHVR handle it. Problem is I have no idea how to recreate the bug.

Unless this was a really hardcore killer-hating survivor main who was stuck with a killer daily?
Mrs JawsIsTheNextKiller lets the survivors go when she plays killer because she is a survivor sympathizer.
It's one thing to let the survivors go. It's another to DC right before you do it.
I've played tons of killers who show mercy and let the survivors go after they've won the game. That's normal.
DCing right before you win, that's not normal.
-
Only Rotten Fields is a big map.
Rancid Abbatoir, Thompson House and Fractured Cowshed are a not so big. Cowshed is actually pretty tiny and not much space to hide and run around.
The corn maps are really just all about corn blindness. If you got it, you're in for a world of hurt. If you can see through the corn there's no issue. The survivors don't have much to work with other than the corn, it's actually hard to survive against killers who even remotely have decent tracking. There are no palettes in the cornfields and no obstacles to even block things like Huntress hatchets.
In terms of safe palettes and safe zones it's not as bad some other maps like Haddonfield, or MacMilan.
But you just gotta work on the corn blindness. If you've hit them once you can just look at the ground and follow the blood.
-
That sounds about right. Hmm perhaps I should put in a bug report.
I mean, I can't imagine there's suddenly a conspiracy of killers looking to DC right before they win.
-
I just love stacking stuff when making builds. That's the entire point of builds after all!
-
Wouldn't it be hilarious if the entire DBD population was just rank 11-15 and nobody was above rank 10.
-
Well as you can see no Dying Light on the Wraith above. The one prior to this game didn't either.
The Doctor that DC'd when I died didn't either.
-
I'm not particularly worried. In my experience there's a lot of killers who just go into full farming mode during these events when they streamers in the offering screen.
You can count on me been saving up Streamers and Gateau for the event.

Well, I always see nerf spirit and nurse threads
And how many times have Spirit and Nurse been nerfed?

You know, when you think about it.
ALL of us started playing without ruin.
We only got it later after playing for ab it.

BBQ should drop auras if you start to use your power, and should only show auras for the first time you hook each survivor. Billy's movement should be slowed more while revving, and the penalty for cancelling/missing should be slightly higher. Don't @ me
Unfortunately BHVR is never going to touch BBQ and everyone defends it and insists it doesn't need nerfs. So this kind of adjustment will never happen.
@Rin_is_my_waifu said:
Wow, survivor mains are complaining about Billy now. So according to you, they should nerf a balanced and loopable killer. How about learning to loop him and maybe stop crying for nerfs?
Who's next in the list? Freddy, hag, huntress, Myers?
Survivors have been complaining about Billy for the past year. It isn't anything new. Did you miss the memo?
-
I been warning against how bad the Gen defense perks were getting. Stacking them together is going to result in the same crazy second chance stacking Survivors were doing with MoM, DS, DH and Adrenaline.
But noooooooo everyone insists Surge and Dying Light are crap perks.

@Ksoni said:
Im very satysfied with new matchmaking system. Now survivors will fell what killers felt for last 3 years.
Now i find matches in 10 second in red ranks instead of 20 minutes like it was for forever.
Why do you think I became a survivor main in the first place? Because when I started playing the game a year ago killer queues took 10 minutes!
Now if Survivor queues take long amounts of time you know what's going to happen?
I am going to stop playing DBD and play Overwatch instead.
Then you'll be stuck as Killer with no survivors to kill.
There is no legit reason to wish harm upon others. Especially if you yourself understand and went through the same pain. Grow up.
-
I don't like facing Hillbilly because games with him tend to devolve into run and gun hook exchanges.
He's not unstoppable but in Solo Queue most survivors don't seem to play to counter his BBQ. And this is in purple and red! I still rather fight him than Spirit, though.
-
Yeah, the lobbies were great. Whatever the hotfix did, it screwed queue times.
-
I tend to concur with this assessment, BloodyNights.
-
The match-making change just made queues longer for Survivors. Previously survivor takes 2 seconds to find a lobby. Now it can take 2 minutes or more.
Obviously a survivor would be upset with that change.
And 10 minutes its not long? Whatever. If you're used to 10-minute lobbies as a killer that doesn't mean the rest of us have to drag our standards down to your level. I have far better things to do with my time than twiddle my thumbs for 10 minutes.

Honestly I'm not from any other part of the world. Only Australia and I've only got evidence from Australia. Yes I should have changed my argument to "Australia n dead by daylight is survivor sided" but only if the experience truly is different in other countries. If true by all means the game shouldn't change for 1 highly competitive player base. If you see no evidence of this just look at Australian servers and do the same method you used for the global leader board. I assure that you will find how many more rank 1 survivors there are to rank 1 killers. Not to mention any killer main streamer will tell you of the games imbalance
Well based on your Australian Chart Data and my Global Chart Data its pretty clear there's a difference between your country's DBD scene and the rest of the world's.
Your country only has 4 Rank 1 Killers and tons of Rank 1 Survivors. Meanwhile global data shows that the opposite trend: proportionally there are more Rank 1 killers.
This isn't anything that convinces me the game is survivor-sided, though. Both your testimony and DudeDelicious' simply tells me that there aren't many good killers in your country, compared to other countries.
I have no reason to believe that Australians are better at gaming in general. I mean, it might be a bit different if you were South Korean. South Koreans for instance we can make a decent argument that they are the best gamers in the world, because in many competitive and professional gaming scenes South Koreans dominate. If you could show the same kind of data or argument for Australians (and more specifically, for games in the asymmetric DBD genre) I'd be more willing to accept your assertion.

Yes from your maths it would seem my argument to not be true. However the global leader board is not what I was using. In fact I have been using my own countries leader board as evidence because Australia is highly competitive. And competitive play is more valuable to me than casual. The player base is more focused here in Australia and in my opinion actually magnifies the issues
While I understand you have strong feelings for your own country's gaming scene, if we're talking about the game itself as a whole (which is your argument) then my data is the superior data set for inferring insights compared to yours.
I am willing to accept the statement "Australian Dead by Daylight is Survivor-sided" from your argument, but not the statement "Game is survivor-sided."
If you feel that Australian gaming scene is more focused and a better representation of the game and its issues I'd like to see supporting arguments to convince me of your gaming scene's superiority.
I see no evidence that Australia is more competitive and a better reference than, say, the North American scene.

I just suck at killer I guess.
I can't either. Chases take me around 30 seconds. Fortunately the survivors I'm fighting aren't very good so I'm fine.
Sometimes I go up against a good survivor and the chase takes a minute. But in these cases most of his teammates are potatoes at the current rank I'm at for Killer so I still end up killing most or all of them.

The argument is in the title the source of from the website. If you think survivors aren't favoured. Please be my guest to argue.
The title is not an argument. That's a statement (also known as a thesis or position).
But anyway. I've given my argument. You can feel free to refute it if you can.
Also please provide the source for your data. There are people who may want to fact check your data. (such as myself)
My data is there for you to check yourself if you're not convinced.
