I think it is reportable if you do it continually.
If you want to derank just insidious camp with LF.
-
Sounds like a reasonable request to me 😊
Tbh, I wish the devs would give console players the chance to test out the new content like PC players.
-
I like Haddonfield based off its aesthetics.
-
I see Ash a decent amount. He's not the most popular, but you do see him.
-
It wouldn't be so bad if we had a separate casual mode.
-
@thesuicidefox I have played killer at rank 1 on Xbox. As you may recall, I used to be a console player. So it's not like I have zero experience with console.
Now here's a counter offer: Come play killer on PC. I want to see you play Huntress or Billy against players like Vooshy (be sure to use a controller). And let's see how well you do playing against a SWF squad like that.
Believe me, I used to think there wasn't much of a difference between the platforms. Then I switched and realized they are different.
FYI, a lot of the PC players believe console is a joke. I don't happen to share that view. At least I'm willing to stick up for console players when it's necessary.
-
@Pulsar In what ways are killers better on console? I don't see how limitations force killers to play better than PC players. If anything, those limitations hinder console killers.
-
Laurie, definitely.
She looks like a super model to me.
-
I don't want to sound rude, but killers on console will probably never be on the same level as PC. The two platforms have completely different player bases.
And of course, the hardware advantage is worth noting as well.
Still, that doesn't mean killers on console can't be decent at the game.
-
The double standard is real.
-
It's clear the devs have no idea how to balance this game (an exaggeration, but still relatively true).
Either that, or they are unwilling.
I really hope they start taking game balance serious in the near future.
-
I don't really care one way or the other.
Some are kinda cringy tho tbh.
-
We're just going to have to wait and see what they do.
As long as these changes are in fact "small adjustments to Nurse", I don't think it will be that bad.
If the devs are able to mostly balance out Nurse, then that's a good thing, and people can finally shut up about her.
-
I'm working on finishing my LF basement build, so I'll probably be doing this myself before long.
-
Yeah, I've experienced moments like this myself. Players try and go for that clutch play, but end up screwing the entire team instead.
One thing I've noticed recently is teammates getting slugged easily. All it takes is one slug to completely end the game.
-
I tend to die quite often when playing survivor. Part of that has to do with me hating being the last one alive.
My biggest loss streak is hard to gauge. Maybe 5-10 losses in a row?
Thing is, I do have my share of games where I perform poorly. But a big reason why I have these loss streaks is teammates. All it takes is one goofball to ruin our chance of getting the gens done. You would think being at red ranks would help alleviate that but nope.
-
Welcome to solo survivor.
-
Honestly, a lot of them are pretty scary looking.
If I had to pick one, it would probably be Spirit. I've seen The Grudge a few times and Spirit reminds me of that movie.
-
Yeah man, getting immediately removed from the game sounds fun.
-
Just tell them that experienced survivors usually do not use SC. The time you spend healing can be better served repairing gens.
Once you gain more confidence, it's not hard to repair a gen while injured. If you understand how to run the killer, said player can typically avoid going down fast.
The perks you mentioned are good because they help manage chases or improve team coordination.
-
Not gonna lie, I love me some omegablink Nurse.
I also really enjoy tier 1 Myers on Lery's.
-
I had to deal with 4 insta heals while playing Huntress. So yeah, I know how you feel. I really wish players would stop trying to make the match so unfun for the other side (I try to adhere to this, but it can be tough sometimes).
-
Yeah, definitely go for Enduring and Spirit Fury.
-
I think a better solution would be to rework the maps that need it.
-
I actually like having the player interaction. If it's something you don't like, there's nothing saying that you have to participate.
-
@Liruliniel Sorry, my opinion appears to have riled a few people up. Please read my comment to suicidefox.
Also, Infectious Fright is an interesting idea. Might be worth checking out because Huntress is pretty strong when it comes to slugging.
Thanks.
-
@thesuicidefox Honestly, it's not worth debating the console vs PC topic because the conversation could turn nasty. And I don't want to overly disparage other players. You have your opinion, and I have mine.
Just know that I have 1000 hours on console. So I have a lot of experience when it comes to this issue.
The bottom line is our experience as killer is quite different. I play against a particular player base, and you play against another. I preferably wanted help from PC players because their experience coincides with my own. Normally, I wouldn't draw too much distinction between the platforms, but Huntress I feel is one of those cases where there is a clear distinction.
The veteran Huntress players on PC have dealt with the same survivors that I have. So, if anyone would know what works and what doesn't work for Huntress, it's them.
I hope you understand. I probably should have kept this opinion to myself in hindsight.
-
Spirit is one of those killers that requires quite a bit of practice. Just keep playing her, and eventually you'll get better at tracking survivors as well as predicting their movements.
-
@thesuicidefox I wasn't trying to be rude, but Huntress is simply one of those characters that must be played on PC. Any serious gamer knows that aiming is best done with a mouse.
My reason for only wanting input from PC players is because they have the experience that matters.
Again, sorry for being exclusive.
-
I lost faith in teammates a long time ago.
-
It's more of an inconvenience for survivors tbh.
-
@thesuicidefox No offense, but I'm looking for advice from PC players (I should have made that clear in the post).
I understand that you watch a lot of streamers, but I was hoping to hear from people who have actually played Huntress at a high level. Those are the people I can trust, not to mention, they usually provide better insight.
-
@razaluna I feel the same way. I'm just wondering if there are better perks than Shadowborn.
-
- The Nurse add on debate became a thing because over the course of many months, more and more people started to understand the power of her add ons. Content creators making videos titled "Wow! These Nurse add ons are crazy Strong" started popping up. And of course, famous streamers also started playing with these add ons. So, it's not a huge surprise that Nurse's add ons became a hot topic. With that said, Nurse does indeed need her add ons nerfed. Being an experienced Nurse main, I have a lot of insight on how to counter Nurse. And one thing i've learned while playing against red rank Nurses is that she does teeter on the edge of being overpowered. Extra blink and range add ons are probably the biggest offenders to this. The amount of map pressure you gain, coupled with unrivaled chase potential is too much. Survivors in no way can counter a Nurse with extra blinks or max range. That's because these add ons remove the need for a Nurse to be as accurate. And survivors can't counter because no matter how hard they try and juke, the more powerful blink will be able to overcome their movements.
- It doesn't matter if certain survivors hold themselves to a different standard than killers, most of the rational players know that both sides should be as equal as possible. Just because there are survivors that openly admit they want their side to be overpowered doesn't mean the rest feel that way. I know plenty of survivors who understand their side has problems that need addressing. Point is, no side should have something that is totally unbeatable for the other side. That's not healthy for the game imo. Killers don't like playing against 4 man SWF squads that effectively rig the match in their favor, and survivors don't like going against 4 blink Nurses with range who slug all the time. Neither thing is acceptable imo.
-
@fluffymareep By friendly, I mean that I often allow survivors to farm when someone disconnects. For me, there is no satisfaction in killing three survivors.
-
No, just ignore him or her.
-
I appreciate you taking the time to write this. Many people are quick to throw the book at Nurse.
Here are my brief opinions on Nurse:
- Nurse does need her add ons reworked. There are killers in red ranks who take full advantage of using Nurse's overpowered add ons. Playing against an experienced Nurse with three or four blinks + range is a nightmare. You can't win if the Nurse starts slugging. Also, the baby Nurses will just have to get used to playing her without the powerful add ons. Many of us veterans persevered while learning Nurse (without add ons), they can too.
- Base kit Nurse is fine imo as of now. Unless I see strong evidence that shows experienced Nurses can always beat experienced survivors, then I will maintain my position. Also, I don't buy into the argument that Nurse shouldn't be touched because she has a low kill rate in low ranks. If a killer has the potential to be overpowered, then that killer needs to be adjusted.
-
How do we know what really went on during that game lol? There could be information that you neglected to mention.
That said, crap like this happens because the devs refuse to balance the game in a significant way. Maps alone are enough to practically guarantee defeat for a killer.
Unless you can somehow show for certain that this killer wasn't a victim of bad game design, it's impossible to take sides.
-
I thought advanced looping was still really easy, but I've since learned that it is not.
-
Tbh, I just hope they don't change her base kit too much.
-
I'll reserve my judgement until after I see the changes.
-
C'mon man, we haven't even seen what they're doing to Nurse yet.
-
@fluffymareep Because until the devs do something about the garbage map design, certain killers are going to have a really hard time against competent survivors. If you add to that free aura reading, then the match will be even more unfun for the killer.
Also, matchmaking is indeed the major problem. I've played with really skilled survivors before, and I don't think I ever saw one instance of someone not getting rescued in time. Good survivors know how to play the game well. Unfortunately, there are plenty of survivors who don't.
-
Yes, I'm sure we've all had those moments.
-
@DaS_only Then you would be having fun at the killer's expense. Not really fair if you ask me.
Besides, lousy matchmaking is the reason solo survivor is so unfun. If players reliably got matched with other players of their own skill level, then Kindred wouldn't even be needed.
-
I used to play on Xbox back in 2017. It was fun until I moved to PC lol.
-
@DaS_only Giving survivors free aura reading can make the match much harder. Make no mistake about it.
Trust me, I fully understand what a pain solo survivor is. But I don't trust the devs to compensate killers.
All of the unbalanced maps need to be reworked before Kindred can be made base kit.
-
It's quite obvious that Laurie is the prettiest survivor. No contest really.
-
From what I could gather, the devs are mostly focusing on her add ons.
But there might be some small tweaks to her base power. As long as the devs don't go overboard, I think the change will be okay.
-
I'm really conflicted on this topic.
I recognize the benefit it would have for solo players.
...But at the same time, it could be a huge pain for high rank killers.
Imagine you're playing Wraith. You get a map with some really nasty loops. Naturally, the survivors are going to take full advantage of the RNG. Now add on to that Kindred as base kit, and all of a sudden that poor Wraith is going to have a really unfun match.
