The problems I have with DS are
- The perk last too long, I can hook 2 other survivor's and still get punished fore tunneling even though I didn't tunnel
- How easily abused the perk is especially when killer's are trying to play fair and mind they own damn business
-
Imma leave this hear so that y'all know and understand that the way Spirit is being played is the way she was intended and that you really can't nerf Spirit without defeating the purpose of her!

I think everyone understands what the cooldown is for. The thoughts behind it are really really good. But it just doesn't work it doesnt balance her at all. She is just unfun to play and thats why they should remove the cooldown. It wasnt needed anyways since everyone knows the really big problem with her were her add-ons and not her basekit. And I have to agree with her add-ons being garbage I dont understand how the devs made those add-ons. They probably didnt even try them out or anything since if they did they probably would have changed them after that.
I agree! As a retired Nurse main she is unfun to play as. I think what BHVR had in mind on what to do with her add-ons was make her fun to use, but these add-ons seem like BHVR doesn't understand Nurse
-
Killer: Pipping
Survivor: At least one of us escaping
-
BHVR is being too over cautious with add-ons right now. A lot of add-ons make no sense to me to right now!

The Nurse should be the strongest killer in the game, but the Spirit is stronger. Her power has longer cooldown, but she requires less skill and practice to play well. Now, nerfed Nurse is no longer S-tier character. I have a lot of practice with this champion and against him. You could counter old 2 blinks Nurse, it wasn't difficult. Her basekit was fine and she shouldn't need cooldown on her power. Example, if now Nurse without addons play against survivor with dead hard it takes 8 seconds per her blink set. If she hit, chace will last 8 seconds. Next, survivor has dead hard so her chace equeals now 16 seconds. If she miss her blinks, chace now equeals 24 seconds etc. As you can see, Nurse cannot counter dead hard. This perk gives survivors free 8 seconds to genrushing, running away etc. How the Nurse can be reworked remaining balance ?
Her base stats will remain the same as now. Movement speed of 96.25% or 3.85m/s, no cooldown on power, 2 seconds fatigue baseline and +0.5s additional fatigue time per chain blink, +1 second when the Nurse uses her attack. Chain blink widnow duration equals 1.5 seconds and her blink movement speed remains 333% or 13.33 m/s.
Now let's talk about the addons. They will be so much weaker than before because the Nurse won't rely on them anymore and they'll change the game by slightly.
COMMON ADDONS:
Wooden Horse: Slightly decreases the fatigue duration by 7%.
1 blink = 1,86 seconds fatigue
+ 0,47 seconds per chain blink
+0,93 seconds when she uses her attack
Plaid Flannel: Allows The Nurse to see Blink Target Locations.
Metal Spoon: Slightly increases the maximum Blink range and charge time by 10% or 2 meters and 0.2 seconds.
White Nit Comb: Slightly increases the movement speed of your Blink by 7% up to 340% or 13.6 m/s.
UNCOMMON ADDONS:
Pocket Watch: Slightly increases the maximum range of the Chain Blink by 1 meter.
Dull Bracelet: When post-blink attacked slightly reduces the unit's action speed until healed by 3%. Stacks.
Dark Cinture: Knocking down survivors using blink attacks makes other survivors scream within 10 meters of you.
Catatonic Boy's Treasure: Moderately increases the maximum Blink range and charge time by 15% or 3 meters and 0.3 seconds.
Bad Man Keepsake: Slightly increases blink maximum range by 10% or 2 meters.
RARE ADDONS:
Spasmodic Breath: Moderately increases Blink movement speed by 10% up to 343% or 13.72 m/s
Heavy Panting: Considerably increases the maximum Blink range and charge time by 20% or 4 meters and 0.4 seconds.
Fragile Wheeze: Slightly decreases the fatigue duration by 7%. Slightly increases the movement speed of your Blink by 7% up to 340% or 13.6 m/s. Slightly increases the maximum Blink range and charge time by 10% or 2 meters and 0.2 seconds.
Ataxic Respiration: Considerably decreases the fatigue duration by 13%.
1 blink = 1,74 seconds fatigue
+ 0,44 seconds per chain blink
+ 0,87 seconds when she uses her attack
Anxious Gasp: Moderately increases Blink maximum range by 15% or 3 meters.
VERY RARE ADDONS:
Kavanagh's Last Breath: Blink attacks applies Mangled status effect.
Jenner's Last Breath: Blink attacks applies Exhausted status effect for 3.5 seconds. It has 15 seconds cooldown.
"Bad Man's" Last Breath: When any survivor has been hit by blink attack, slightly decreases the action speed for all survivors until healed. Reduced action speed = 3% ( yes, it's better Dull Bracelet ) Stacks.
Campbell's Last Breath: Considerably increases Blink movement speed by 17% up to 350% or 14 m/s
ULTRA RARE ADDONS
Matchbox: Adds 1 additional chain blink. Tremendously decreases blink movement speed by 83% down to 250% or 10 m/s.
Torn Bookmark: Removes 1 chain blink. There's no sound while the Nurse is charging her Blink.
What do you think ? Are these addons balanced ? Have you got another suggestion ? Please write in a comment section and give vote up if you think that's good or great changes!
Sally is in her own league and she is by far more superior than Rin! The cool down to her power was uncalled for and was added in favor of survivors to give them more breathing space, because the way I see it, they added a cool down on top of a cool down(fatigue) that she had full control over how long it lasted!
Hey add-ons are utter garbage, idk what BHVR was thinking
-
I just hope they don't butcher the perk like they did to MoM! While I like the idea of DS my only problem with the perk is that their is no risk involved with the perk, and survivors who go out of their way to abuse the perk

Killers, I know you're harder to play than survivor, and sometimes stressful. But please, if you finally kill that last tbagging scumbag, rather than nod aggressively and shut hatch in his face, give hatch.
And i know it sounds ridiculous, but that's the challenge behind it. You show that toxicity doesn't affect you really, and trust me you'll be the winner in the end when you're surprised by a thank you from someone you would have never thought said it. You'll feel good and like a man in control rather than following instincts.
I know a lot out there are just scared of having hard games and have the habit of tunneling someone out of the game at 3 gens, please don't let it be the baby Meg or Dwight queued with the clearly superior players. Try going for someone who at least knows fundamentals of looping. Or better not do it at all unless you clearly have to (4 survivors 2 gens etc..)
Survivors, I know sometimes you tbag at pallets and click clack to get the killers attention making time for your team.
But especially with visibily green/yellow rank killers, please don't. Think of the many unfun matches they had to play before yours due to the broken matchmaking.
You could try crouching and nodding, it looks cuter and funnier, and certainly not as annoying and dishumilating as tbagging. You don't want him or her camping you at the end of the day.
I'm hoping one day we all get along and ditch the DS/NOED arguments because of one bad match we had.
I understand your message but sadly, The community will be divided until
1. Everybody plays each side easy
2. BHVR brings more balance into the game
Right now, the main thing that bothers me is the amount of toxcity that remains in this community! When I'm playing survivor I'm never an ******! When I'm playing killer I try not to react to toxcity, because if you react to it your only adding fuel to the fire!

Get rid of the fake spirit left behind when she phases. I personally think it doesn't make sense for it to stay behind anyway, this would allow her to be just as strong in some cases, while eliminating the ability to fake a phase. I just think overall it would help solve a lot of what makes her feel broken.
That would defeat the purpose of Spirit! I keep trying to tell the community, you can't nerf Spirit without defeating the purpose of her, everybody wants her to have a indicator that she's phasing and that also defeats the purpose of her. Even if they did add a indicator all she has to do is hide her husk and we are back to square 1.
All this hate for Spirit I believe stemmed from wanna be toxic survivors not being able to loop her for 5 gens, and survivors that don't wanna change their tactics for dealing with her
-
What you said about Spirit is literally how she was intended to play! This lack of "feedback" that you guys want so you can loop her into oblivion is how she is intended! I consider Spirit what a killer should be! Either rely on different tactics or not wanna deal with that killer at all! And since 80% of the survivor community has a problem with not being able to get feedback or loop her into oblivion than why did the devs do anything about that to her during her nerf and why are they encouraging her to fake phase?
-
BBQ is fine, Spine Chill idk! I consider Spine Chill a crutch perk for people who don't wanna use their eye's and rely more on TR

Or youre probably a 100 hour player that thinks you can "play better" against an iri head huntress with a mori lol. The same type of killer that thinks you could have just played better if youre pig on rancid abbatoir against a 4 man swf.
2k actually! I prefer playing killer's that are OP simply because it feels rewarding when I escape. That's the difference between me and most survivor's! I like the pressure, I like the challenge, other survivor's just wanna mindlessly loop the killer with no challenge being presented
-
That's how they intended one her being!

i chase my one victim and they circle around me blocking me
and yet im the "killer" lmao
i swear every time i come back to this game i just slowly lose more and more interest in it, even as survivor i dont even stress about killers why would i?
anyone else having bad games? xo
I'm at the point to where I feel that if I take a break I won't comeback to the game for awhile! While I agree killer is way more but stressful af, yet the killer's where I don't feel stressed used survivors are screaming nerf.
I can't stand playing survivor because it's brain dead easy and boring, and killers feel more like a annoyance and not something I should fear!
-
From both a killer and survivor perspective, BT is a pathetic excuse not to take agro if your gonna do a unsafe rescue. Granted you can't control who the killer is going to go after, but at least try to take hit

If the killer lacks information, how am I suppose to play against them?
Jungle gyms and unpredictable pathing. I've tried using these as tactics when I play survivor and they seem to work, but Spirit Will eventually catch on to what it is your doing and get you! Despite the fact that I stay running IW I almost always spend 75-90% of matches injured!
But than again the usual argument that survivors shouldn't have to rely on perks to counter killers comes in

Yeah I agree she would be better off if she was deleted from the game. Although a rework would be favorable. DBD doesn't need RNG guessing in a competitive environment.
- Headphones isn't doing the killing

She is being used as intended but she lacks information and counters. Sorry that she'll actually be playable against.
Have you considered that lacking information is how she was intended? Just because you lack information doesn't mean there's no counter! Your not apologizing that she's going to be playable against, your apologizing because your use to having the advantage in the chase/loop and mindlessly looping without having to use your brain!

Sorry? I want her to be fun to play? Is that what you want to hear? She is literally so boring and braindead to play right now. Hell, maybe she should have 115% if her hearing is no longer directional. But her basekit inputs during phase are DIRECTIONAL hearing and scratch marks. Survivors get audio cues, but nothing directional. I don't care if she can hear survivors, but she should not be able to track them down instantly with two dimensional audio if survivors get zero to one dimensions.
If you consider her so "Boring and Brain dead" have you tried challenging yourself with her? I'm a Spirit main and the main add-on I run on her is Mother-Daughter Ring to challenge myself, what makes her difficult to use right now is delayed scratch marks (which is why I run M-D Ring because Scratch Marks can't be trusted) and game sounds breaking every other patch, hell BHVR even turned the volume of chase music up to give survivor's a "additional chance" (though they have multiple 2nd chance perks) in which she has to literally predict survivor's and hope that it was the right way to go until the chase music goes quite!
I disagree with omnidirectional sounds simply because audio is her main source of tracking while phasing, and if they do that than they might as well give her her ridiculous post-phase lunge back to compensate!
-
@Kellie said:
She'll be getting her necessary rework soon. So no.
Necessary! No! She really doesn't need a rework when she's being used as intended, but because the survivor community is the majority she will most likely get nerfed because of that!
-
This is one of the few reasons why I believe that some people won't put the effort and energy into getting good at killer, because they down't wanna get a taste of their own medicine.
Ardetha is one of my favorite content creators and in one of his videos he said "If you don't like it, than don't f***ing do it" and I honestly feel that it's going to take the community as a whole to get rid of toxcity, but we already know how that's going to go
-
As a Spirit main I'm going to say this! The purpose of Spirit is to trick survivor's! Survivor's rely way too damn much on information and are use to having the advantage in chase/loop that they can't stand not having that advantage. I personally believe that Spirit is in a good spot with the way the current balance and meta of survivor's! I do play other killer's but I mostly play Spirit once I hit red ranks because I don't wanna deal with loop after loop after loop (which is why I find majority of the killer roaster boring because they have to rely on the same tactic)
As of addressing OP! When BHVR decides to fix sounds that are breaking every other patch, you won't see many of her player's using Stridor. I can't speak for Spirit's with Stridor because I learned Spirit without Stridor and I've trained myself to listen for survivor footsteps and grass moving!
I understand how survivor's feel about Spirit, but Spirit is being used as intended and I myself can't come up with a way to change her without butchering her and making her unfun or without defeating the purpose of Spirit! She's meant to trick survivor's, so that lack of 'interaction' was intended for her, but if BHVR does do something about it than all she has to do is hide her husk and we are back to square 1
-

for me killer is way harderer to play in terms of moral
when you play killer survs tbag you at any pallet or window, they accuse you after game if they dislike something, they alltogether write "ez" if they succeeded in escaping or somehow outplayed you, they whine if they lose, they prolong game by staying at the gates and tbaging.
i mostly play killer but recently i played surv and you know what? I feel relief
I dont feel this insane pressure as when i play killer counting each second because any wrong decision (walking to the wrong gen for 5-10 sec) means complited gens Getting a flashlight after a difficult chase just an amazing feeling almost as good as in a bunch of bodies picking up surv with "antitunneling perk"
As killer you always 1 vs 4 in chat dont you dare for a moment broke any of uwritten rules imposed on killer (camping someone or following him after unhook) they will tear you apart
Killer is way more difficult simply because we are being pressured by time, and playing our cards right!
-
I mean, a lot of you are mad that you can't tell that she's phasing, but that's the purpose of Spirit! Hate the fact that her standing still grants her free hits? Than why is there a loading screen tip encouraging her to do that? I honestly grow tired of the Spirit hate simply because survivor's can't interact with her and mindlessly loop her.
I on the other hand love going against her because I can't mindlessly loop her like 90% of the killer roaster, but than again I understand how to counter her simply because I main her and understand how she thinks

@AVoiceOfReason said:
It's the map sizes that creates tunneling, camping and chaos. Slow killers can't run across Mother's Dwelling fast enough to stop gens most of the time. If they reduce the bigger maps, you could actually actively push people off gens but telling someone to apply pressure 60 seconds away is really bad advice.
It would help killers not feel like they lost unless they play fast killers or killers who could teleport. Feel free to add but keep it civil. No one wants to get face camped because they separated the gens across the map and they feel like its better to kill 1 instead of no one. That's just my feelings on it.
Note: They had to buff PGTW to 60 seconds because most killers can't reach a gen across the map in 30 seconds.
Maps aren't the only problem.
Lack of viability in killer's
A lot of killer's powers do more harm than good in a chase which results in killer's having to resort to M1 tactic's
Lack of survivor objectives
Survivor's just don't have enough objectives compared to what killer's have to do to build pressure and get the ball rolling, and survivor's depend on killer's for extra objective's
-
@EmpireWinner said:
Gen rushing means the survivors are playing the game and doing the objective, start doing yours.
Here's my question! What about killer's that don't have the map pressure to stop gen rushing?

I just played the game for 3 weeks, I learned everything but still didn't understand that big toxicity. There's always a toxic person in every match, teabagging, flash spamming is eveywhere, there is also a guide called "How to be a toxic survivor on DBD?" Why? Why so toxic man? And whose fault is that? I reported at least 5 person who has toxic behaviour, none of them banned I think. Whose fault is that?
While no one is responsible for toxicity in this community I believe it all started with
1. Streamers! Anything you see being broadcasted your going to do it!
2. One sides lack of playing the other side! I've called my friends out on being toxic to killers! They said they were board and didn't know what else to do. When I convinced them to start playing killer and the expirenced the same toxicity, that stopped being toxic all together.
As I said no one is ultimately responsible for toxicity, at the end of the day it comes down to the player

I know, the add-ons she currently has are from the rework since her last nerf. I meant that her old add-ons before that nerf were so good and fun to play, today she only has TWO add-ons that are actually playable and the rest is completely garbage. I think they should bring the old add-ons back. Just with a few changes so its not that strong. For example no 5, 4 or even 3 blink combos anymore.
While I agree they should have only touched Omega Blink, the problem with her old add-ons is that
1. You had to cancel out the negative effects of each other
2. Some of her old add-ons were uncalled for
-
@Opex said:
I am a Nurse main and I really miss the old time with the Nurse when you had so many different Add-on combos. But I thought why don't I just use a different Add-on combo than blink recharge every single game? Than I was looking through the new Add-ons since her nerf. And I never realized how useless and dumb her Add-ons are. I came to the conclusion that there are only TWO Add-ons that are actually good for the Nurse. And booth of these Add-ons are doing the exact same, so it's basically only one Add-on. All other Add-ons are completely useless and there's no need at all to use them. I made a little list of the Add-ons and what I think of them.
Bad Add-On's:
Wooden Horse:
This Add-On is completely useless, why should I take a Add-On for a shorter fatigue if I miss my lunch attack? I can also just not lunch if I know that I wont get the hit. And even tho you only get 1 second extra fatigue of a missed attack, and it only removes it Moderatly. So that means I will be fatigued for only 0.5 seconds less?
White Nit Comb:
I can lunch for a shorter distance after a blink just for a few more points. I don't have to say anything to this I guess...
Plaid Flannel:
There's no need to see where the blink is gonna teleport you to, it is confusing a player more than helping him out. If someone should be playing the Nurse he should know the blink ranges. And even than this Add-On doesn't even help to learn them too. Completely useless...
Metal Spoon:
You can also just use Stridor, or the survivors have Iron Will. There's no need to use a Add-On for this since you can already hear the survivors good enough. And incase they got Iron Will which is really common this Add-On is useless.
Pocket Watch:
This would've been a good Add-On, but it only allows you to charge your second / third blink for 0.2 seconds longer. This is almost nothing and doesn't help at all. Good idea but they messed it up.
Dull Bracelet:
Your max. blink distance is decreased but you get more points, I don't have to say anything to this, do I?
Catatonic Boy's Treasure:
There's no need to use a Add-On just to be stuned for 0.5 seconds shorter incase you should use your second blink.
Bad Man Keepsake:
This is completely useless, why would I use a Add-On to see survivors healing in a 28 meter radius? There's a perk which is called "A Nurse's Calling". Just the differents is that Nurse's Calling shows you ALL survivors healing in a 28 meter radius at any time. Not after I hit that one specific survivor before.
Spasmodic Breath:
So after I get my first hit with my blinks I can't blink but I'm a normal M1 killer with a normal 4.6m/s movement speed? Why would I want that? It's way easier if I just keep being a 3.8m/s killer and use my blinks to hit them a second time.
Heavy Panting:
Why would I use this Add-On for only 4 meters more blink range? This also only helps with the first blink since you have to charge your blinks longer and you don't have enough time to charge 4 more meters with your second blink.
Ataxic Respiration:
Why would I use a Add-On for a shorter fatigue time? I mean the idea is good and this Add-On could be good. But it decreases your fatigue time by 0.25 seconds which is completely useless.
Anxious Gasp:
There's no need for survivors to scream if I blink past them because I will see them if I blink past them. It's even easier to see them with Shadowborn while blinking past them. There's no reason to ever use this Add-On.
Kavanagh's Last Breath:
Why would I use this PURPLE Add-On just to be able to blink 6 meters further with my first blink only? Same thing with heavy panting I need longer to fully charge up my blinks. So this wont do anything on my second blink. And using a PURPLE Add-On just for 6 more meters blink range on only my first blink? That's useless.
Jenner's Last Breath:
This is pretty useless even tho the idea is quite funny. But it's really easy to juke this Add-On and it's way easier to just use your second blink to catch up to them incase they should be coming back to you while you are blinking to them.
Campbell's Last Breath:
This is very hard to control and also really easy to juke. How is someone suppost to kill someone while using this Add-On? Also if your first blink is already accurate and you could hit the survivor you are just getting blinked away. It might be good against dead hard. But still this Add-On is really useless and there's no need to ever use it.
"Bad Man's" Last Breath:
This has a really good idea but they messed it up. After I get my first hit on the survivor I have no terror radius and red stain for 16 seconds. But until I charged up my blinks. Got the survivor and hooked him this is already gone. It doesn't really help much and after my first hit the survivor is still gonna have the chase music so this Add-On is really useless.
Torn Bookmark:
This Add-On gives you one extra blink. But you can't blink through walls? That means that this will give you a lot of problems to blink to the survivor. Also while moving through the map and not being in a chase this will be really annoying. And you better just have two blinks which is completely enough than using this Add-On. It's not really good.
Matchbox:
Why would I want to have one blink less just to be only 5% faster than survivors? It is really easy to juke the blink if you only have one. It's gonna be almost impossible to actually kill survivors with your blinks while using this Add-On. And it also takes ages until you catch up to survivors without your blinks because you are only 5% faster than them. You better just don't use this Add-On and have 2 blinks which will make the Nurse much more playable. Really useless Add-On.
Good Add-On's:
Dark Cincture:
This can be really helpful because your blink cooldown is shorter. Which means that you are able to blink earlier after you hit a survivor and he will get less distance on you. Which will also make your next blink's easier and it gives you the feeling of the old Nurse back, when she had no cooldown at all. This is a pretty good Add-On.
Fragile Wheeze:
This is the same Add-On as Dark Cincture just in green instead of yellow. It does the exact same and is even better than Dark Cincture. It makes it so much more satisfying to play the Nurse because you don't have to wait ages until you can use your next blinks. Also it makes snowballing way easier.
Yes, I know... the Nurse is by far the strongest killer in the game. But I still think they should make her fun to play. And actually give her a lot of different options on how to play her. And only using those two Add-ons because all others are completely useless is just stupid. And I think her Add-ons should get a rework. Before she got nerfed her Add-ons where pretty much fine and fun to play. They should not bring back really OP stuff like 3 - 5 blink combos or something like that. I know it will kind of be a buff than if she gets different / good Add-ons and that on the strongest killer in the game. But I think her current Add-ons are just completely bullshit. Only two Add-ons that are good and playable? doesn't that speak volumes? Also remember that this is only my opinion and it doesn't have to be right.
Hate to break it to you, but her current add-ons is the add-on rework BHVR gave her along with a nerf and some bugs

First of, let me correct you here.
I find Freddy and Spirit boring to go against, not because I'm "entitled", but because it's my personal OPINION. There's certain killers I like to go up against and killers I don't like going up against. It's not about "adjusting one's gameplay" it's about how I feel against those killers. There will be survivors who can't be bothered to go up against certain killers but subtly generalising that all survivors are entitled by having an opinion isn't really the way to word it.
Truth is, I'm tired of seeing people like this call survivor's entitled for finding a certain killer boring, it doesn't mean we're entitled, it means we are allowed to have opinions.
Yes! You are entitled to your own opinion, but the reason why survivor's call these killers boring is because you can't mindlessly loop them into oblivion, and that is entitlement!
Have you ever thought from from a killer perspective on why they play that killer? It's because of looping. It might be fun for survivor's but dealing with looping as a killer is brain dead boring and we like using these killers because they can do something about looping to spice it up or not deal with it.

I really don't think I am entitled, and I play a lot of both sides so I feel like I can make informed opinions. The problem I have with "adjusting gameplay" is that survivors have 1 tool to try and escape the killer: looping pallets and jungle gyms. Spirit basically says "no" to that. It isn't like Nurse who you can both see and hear when she's blinking. Spirit is invisible and you have no idea when she's gonna pop out. To me, that doesn't sound like counterplay more than it does a boring guessing game.
Freddy though I agree adjusting gameplay is good, but I feel like you missed what I said. I don't think Freddy has a weakness. Pretty much every other killer does. Nurse? Good at ending chases quickly, can't pressure the map. Huntress? Same deal. Current Billy? Can pressure the map but can be looped way easier than the aforementioned killers. I always drop pallets early against Freddy when asleep. That's about as much adjusting as there is.

I feel like you are trying to misuse the word controversial. These killers are brought up time and time again about whether they're fair and balanced or not. They ARE controversial. Whether or not you think they are balanced and fair has nothing to do with it.

I've never had an issue with Spirit moving that fast when she's on the other side of the map. Sure, she has some really strong add-ons that can make her do that, but a lot of it comes from just ending chases quickly. That first hook is when the actual game starts, and she can snowball so easily. It may seem like map pressure, but to be honest I think it's comparable to Nurse. It's map pressure in the form of "I am forcing survivors to come unhook this guy while I down another before it even happens".
As a Spirit main that's the purpose of Spirit, and why I enjoy playing against her because of the gamble, and not relying on the same tactics. I would rather be forced to do something different rather than just loop the killer into oblivion or use the same mindgame tactic.
From a killer perspective I don't have a problem with looping. I have a problem with the advantage survivor's have in looping (meaning constantly peeking around the corner for the red stain or the killer) and that killers have to use the same tactics just to get the advantages.

Every single game every survivor is working on his own gen wich results in 5 gens being done in less than 5 min, every survivor knows how to loop, where the safe pallets and widnows are and how to exploit them, they know the map, and they are 4, I mean what chances do i have? NONE. i get so mad when they tbag at the exit, like dude cmon
Welcome to the killer life, where everything we do is illegal in the eyes of survivors and if a killer shows exceptional skill or is unique and survivor's don't like it, we get punished for it and are forced by BHVR to do so!

Honestly I grow tired of seeing these post about killer's that survivor's "find boring" or "don't like" because it sounds like entitlement that you can't adjust your gameplay because you insist on doing the same thing instead of using your brain.
I think all 3 killer's are fine and I really enjoy going against/playing all 3 of them (except Caleb since he can be looped into oblivion and he has no physics)

I dont even bother with moris unless im having a bad day, bloodpoints get cut so hard im lucky to get even a brutal when I use one.
^The exact reason why I say don't change mori's!
Honestly I don't use mori's because they don't help me improve my gameplay. I love playing against mori's because they put me under a lot of stress and I love the challenge and that feeling.
If I do use a mori, it's because I've had a bad day, or I'm playing against a boosted/sweat swf that I've played against and I wanna see how the can handle the stress of losing the strongest 1 on the team, or to see how they deal with mori's

@MigrantTheGreat She can still hear breathing and see scratch marks. She has a speed boost coming out to see where the survivor is to catch them coming out. There is only a difference of hearing someone from really far away while grunting.
- Breathing is part of life, if you take away survivor's breathing sounds than the survivor is obviously dead! despite that it's already hard for her to track because of broken sounds and chase music drowning out survivor sounds that BHVR said they turned up so that "survivor's can get a chance to escape a chase" even though the survivor meta revolves around second chance perks.
- Scratch Marks makes up for her not being able to see survivor's when she's not phasing though I run Mother-Daughter Ring which hides any scratch marks made by survivor's the moment she enters phasing I don't use Stridor on her
She has to track survivor's by sound, idk or understand what your trying to get at. The post phase speed boost gives her a chance to down a survivor because if she comes out of phasing and goes gay into (I can't say the S word) her base speed there's a 90% chance that even her lunge attack will miss.
-
@AVoiceOfReason said:
Its her ability to hear my groans of pain and due to the sound being directional, she can easily find you while phasing and tell if you moved forward, backwards or sideways but you can't do the same. Crank up the volume in your headset and use Stridor and once you're hurt, it's over.
Remove or greatly reduce her ability to hear grunts of pain and she'd be fine to play against.
Note: Edited due to having a spelling mistake.
Not every Spirit uses Stridor (such as me), but the reason why they rely on Stridor so much is because they taught themselves to listen for grunts of pain and not other sounds such as footsteps and grass moving. I the only time I rely on grunts if pain is if I don'y here footsteps.
Removing sounds will make her unplayable. People even go as far as to say survivor sounds should be omni-directional and that will also break her!
-
The Hag cosmetic where she has empty eye sockets! Last time I played against a Hag with that cosmetic I wanted out of the match because I can't stand looking into empty eye sockets
-
Y'all need to stop with hating Rin Yamaoka just because she's unique.
"You can't interact with her, and standing still isn't a mindgame." That's the purpose of her, just because you can't mindlessly loop a killer doesn't mean they need to be nerfed.
"All you need is headphones and Stridor!" Yeah cause a perk and headphones is doing the killing right? Every Spirit run Stridor right? It's not like sounds are always breaking, and the player isn't trying to focus their hearing!
"She's easy to use, and pick up." Have you ever tried challenging yourself and using Mother-Daughter Ring without Stridor to make using her power more difficult
"I shouldn't have to rely on perks to counter a killer!" Almost everything survivors do killers have to rely on perks to counter or deal with

Go with scottjund's suggestions. Make DS infinite use, allow the timer to tick down but pause when the survivor is in chase. Instantly disable it if the survivor performs any actions. Repairing, Healing, sabotaging, unhooking, entering a locker, ect.
Give killers a notification it's active. Put a marker on the survivors health meter to let killers know a survivor has it. Doesn't have to show when it's active and not, just that they have the perk. Then make a visual indicator that a survivor has unbreakable primed. A unique crawling animation or something.
It's completely stupid that these perks are so damn impactful on games that you always have to play under the assumption that they have these 2 perks. Atleast with NOED and Devour Hope you can actively prevent it before it happens, but with these 2 you can't do anything until it's too late.
Imo 2nd chance perks shouldn't stack with each other. For example, if you get slugged and you use Unbreakable, that should deactivate DS and vice versa.
The reason why I disagree with Scott's idea is because it'll give survivors a reason to harass the killer instead of playing game, especially the fact that DS has no risk or downsides

Bored of this event and update. New map is horrible to play on both sides. Pyramid head is boring and unfun to play as for me. I Have the event cosmetics I want and the fact that the mid chapter patch is nerfing yet another killer, I cant bring myself to turn the game on anymore. We need content at a faster rate that isnt lackluster. Most of us have literally played the same game for 4 years now. It's almost as dry as call of duty at this point for me lol.
I strongly agree!
Survivor is boring af to me because it's a M1 simulator, and looping is literally the only way for survivors to deal with killers, and there's few killers that force to rely on different tactics which I enjoy
Killers is stale to me because majority of the killers have to rely on the same tactic to deal with looping, but killers that force survivors to use different tactics I get salt main

The devs have said that DS is not strictly an anti-tunneling perk.
Proof that the devs don't understand their own game! If the perk isn't anti-tunnel than it wouldn't activate or have counterplay of anti-tunneling

Sup? There aren't very much of us left these days so I'd like to have the oppurtunity to get to know my fellow Nurse mains of the forum a bit more. We are the most superior after all and the most skillful players of Dbd😏.
So what's your guys' main outfit combo? What build do you mainly use? How long have you been playing Nurse? Who do you play when you aren't playing Nurse?
Heres my outfit/build:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ID2DYLQIL8FE/ps-messages-20200713-120818.jpg
I started learning Nurse about 2 years ago playing on my cousin's Ps4. He's the one who got me into Dbd. A year later I got the game for myself and to this day I'm a console Nurse main. Getting used to playing her was...well...hard of course but I felt great when I was able to start winning games. Within my first few months of learning her I developed a deep hatred for corn maps and Lerys. Corn I got used to but Lerys can still be a bit troublesome.
When I'm not playing Nurse I usually play Trapper, Billy, or Ghostface.
I couldn't think of any more questions btw so if you think of something else you wanna share feel free to do so :)
The cosmetic that I wear is the purple gown with the purple veil, but my favorite weapon is the Marked Bridal Saw! Back when I played Sally religiously I would run Dying Light, BBQ, Shadowborn, and a random 4th perk

Whatever number was last.) The fact that majority of the killer roaster has to rely on the same tactic to deal with looping

Yeah I get it shes hard to go against big deal she has counter play you guys just are too stubborn too utilize it! You just killed Billy stop trying to kill Spirit.
Just leave it alone! Trust me! Survivor's are use to killer's being loopable that they hate having to change tactic's to deal with a killer! They don't wanna look at it from the other side of the glass. I main Spirit because she deals with looping in a different way rather than dealing with it the same way 90% of the killer roaster does. Survivor's consider looping fun, but to most killer main's it's not fun because majority of the killer roaster has to deal with it the same way!
I hate to put it to you guys this way, but I don't think BHVR can nerf Spirit without defeating the purpose of her. Y'all want to be able to interact with Spirit but that's not the purpose of her. The purpose of Spirit is to trick survivor's and how can she trick survivor's when she gives information. On top of that, why is it that every time a killer gets nerfed you survivor's are quick to tell killer's adapt, but when y'all can't adapt y'all scream and cry nerf?
This entitled ass community man!

I genuinely don't enjoy the game anymore, perhaps i've just had a few bad days but i'm not sure.
My survivor games all go the same, either i go meta perks and become gen jockey with mediocre chases as they end quickly or i'm forced to stay on the same two tiles until BL or the killer gives up. If i go 'Jesus Jeff' as example to have a fun and non-meta build it seems i get tunneled or camped. [Please, stop giving up a chase on the other side of the map just because i used deliverance.]
But Killer games aren't that different. I used to enjoy going off meta builds, my favorite being a full hex one and it while i ussualy ended up not having any perks arounf 5-10 minutes in i didn't mind it. Yet... I've being getting bullied when i run these, i am a Legion main [stone me] but i've being getting back into my old main [wraith] for the last month, my last games with him have being exactly the same. I'm being chased by survivors way out my skill level [i am a decent killer but not a great one. I don't mind admitting that.] And i know chasing them would be making the game boring for everyone other than this much better survivor. Now the reason i call it bullying is because this person will chase me out of sight and when i cloak to be quicker or to cut someone off in chase, they'll lightburn me. It's wraith so i don't mind it in game but to see them all escape with only 1-2 hooks while i know i am on the same skill as 3/4 but just that 1/4 makes it borderline impossible for me and genuinely makes me want to dc is disheartening at best.
And for both, as killer and survivor when i have these boring and frustrating games i am met with the same response from all sides "Just take better perks/killer"
Do i really need to change to enjoy this game again? I hate majority of the meta perks, just for how uninteractive they really are at their core.
And don't say "You need more hours to get better" or "You shouldn't focus on the negative games." I know i have 'fun' games but i cannot bring myself to focus on the candy if i first have to dig through heeps of ######### to reach it. And my skill is perfectly middle ground, i am improving but these aren't problems that are solely based in skill.
Sounds like burnout to me, I recommend a extremely long break as well. Sounds like you need done of those breaks where your gone for so long that when you come back you need to relearn the game
-
Imma got all out say it!
A lot of y'all sound entitled and one sided! Do y'all ever think about why people main Spirit? Do y'all think about maybe playing Spirit and putting in the effort to learn Spirit, and play without Stridor or use Mother-Daughter Ring with Spirit to understand how to counter her?
As a Spirit main, I main Spirit because I'm tired of 90% of the killer roaster being weak to looping, I'm tired of having to rely on the same tactics to deal with looping with the other killers.
Looping might be fun for survivors, but it's not for killers. It not fun playing Wraith and winning or losing a match, just to turn around and have to use the same tactic with Pig, or Doctor, or Plague.
I understand the problem with Spirit, but because of her uniqueness and her other very few unique brother's and sister's I feel they are keeping the killer community alive, if they weren't as unique as they are now, I'm pretty sure the killer community would be even smaller!
But that's just my 2 cents, go ahead and cut me apart like Rin's father did her!
-
I don't have a problem with 2nd chance perks, I have a problem with stacked 2nd chance perks.
For example
I hit a survivor now they have DH available, I chase them down they use DH to correct a mistake or get to another loop to be safe, I chase them again and down them. Now that I've downed them I can hook them, I pick them up and get hit with DS, and now I gotta chase them again. Chase/down the survivor again as the final gen is being completed and boom Adrenaline kicks in and now I gotta chase them.
The problem I have with stacked 2nd chance perks is that majority of the killer roaster has to capitalize on survivor mistakes, but survivors use multiple perks to correct and get themselves out of their mistakes!

@Dead_by_Gadfly said:
Yeah but this is one of the times i think hes just wrong. His argument is essdntially "survivors want to be able to use the skills theyve learned" and by ghat he means looping.
Want to take a wild guess at what the most boring thing in the game is for killers? Running around in circles for 5 mi utes.
What behaviour is doing is creating killers that have different counterplays to their powers, some killers you can loop to ######### like wraith, some killers you have to counter a little more uniquely like Spirit. This keeps the game fresh and different. If every single killer was loopable the way wraith is this game would have died 2 years ago.
Scott's wrong on this, the people that find a killer boring its because they either dont understand the counter to thst killer and are getting waxed all the time, or they understand it really well and dont find it challanging. Either way, so tf what. Its better than every single killer having the same boring ass nascar counter
This^ is why I stop watching the video when he said "survivors want to test their skills" and why I main Spirit.
There is no skill involved with looping simply because all survivors are doing is running in a circle. If the loop is unsafe than all they have to do is peek around the corner looking for the red stain or the killers physical body! No skill what so ever, and if survivors can't do that, than the killer is boring and needs to be nerfed.
I'm currently sitting at 2.1k hours, I learned looping when I was at 300hrs, and mastered looping at 400hrs. How is it "testing your skill" when you've been doing the same thing for 1k hours?
I personally enjoy going against these so called "Boring killers" because they make me play in a different way, and force be to use different tactics.
