It's Horrible. No dbd update before has caused such horrible performance for me.

Wow. All these killers saying they would need compensation..... You guys saw the statistics, right? More people have been sacrificed by such a large margin and you still think killers need more.... That's greedy af...
Wrong. Those statistics were not kill rate/escape rate, those stats only showed sacrifices and escapes that contributed towards the completion of Tome challenges over the past year.
-
The stats aren't escape rate vs kill rate. The new stats only show sacrifices and escapes that contributed to the completion of tome challenges over the past year.
-
There's too many variables for these numbers to really mean anything:
How good were the killers? How good were the survivors?
Were meta builds used or meme perks used?
How many moris came into play? How many items came into play?
How many sacrifices were survivors suiciding on hook?
Big map or small map?
How many were freddys, spirits, and nurses, and how many were trappers, wraiths, and clowns?
Were dc's counted as sacrifices or escapes or neither?
How many of the survivor sacrifices were from when mmr was active and experienced killers were stomping new players?
Is this across all platforms?
When did they start and stop collecting the statistics?
I could go on, but you get the point.

Did you have fun attest?
Not really. Another survivor sandbagged both of us twice, ended up dying pretty quick.
-
It went about as well as you'd expect it to go.

Whenever I want a meme perk build I usually use a perk randomizer. It's fun
That's what me and my friend are doing right now. We just got No Mither, Fixated, Sprint Burst, and Hope.

Considering who Sam and Dean are, and what they've done/who they've taken down, I really don't want to see them running from and losing to the dbd killers. They've taken on things far worse.
-
LeaksDBD put out info explaining how many shards or auric cells each new outfit will cost.
-
Demise of the faithful was probably the least hyped, because when they released it, they also accidentally released ash's perks ahead of time in the kyf lobby. The whole plague dlc was overshadowed by the news of an upcoming ash williams dlc.

Oni is leagues better than Myers. Myers has the worst startup of any killer and even with his power he can be easily looped like any killer, unless the survivors are all in one area which, they usually aren't. Meanwhile when Oni has his power he's stronger than pretty much every killer in the game: he's fast, instadowns people, can play around nearly every tile, and can down the entire team with one use of his power.
-
Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Adrenaline, Borrowed Time.
-
The sliding issue with Blight has been a thing since he was released. Did it on Sanctum of Wrath first day he was out.

@Bard said:
They're complaining because they don't know what they're talking about.
Skill checks can only come from four (formerly five) sources.
- Healing
- Repair
- Decisive Strike
- Killer Powers
- Sabotage (defunct as of Deathslinger's release)
Out of those...
- Healing still works
- Repair still works
- I don't know if DS worked before, but even if it did, how are you missing an easy skill check you had advance knowledge of?
- Killer powers that gave skill checks never interacted with Huntress Lullaby to begin with. Could you imagine how much people would have cried if the impossible Skill checks build
- Sabo doesn't even give skill checks anymore.
Literally the only way this could be a nerf is if the Devs added an entire new skill check action ("build breakable wall" or adding skill checks to exit gates) without adding that functionality to Huntress Lullaby.
Meanwhile, the much larger change being made is that Huntress Lullaby no longer notifies until you've gotten at least one token.
People, calm down with your crying about Lullaby nerfs. The changes are literally a net buff.
The reason people are upset is because this is the DBD community, and any change to a perk that could be considered a nerf (and they did nerf lullaby, only affecting healing and repair, regardless of the buff they still nerfed it) will cause outrage.

Ah, yes, the "all Killers should be invincible" mindset. I love it.
If this is the reason you wouldn't like a Resident Evil chapter, then why is the Demogorgon a Killer? Or perhaps... Would Mr. X or Nemesis being implemented in Dead by Daylight would ruin your precious favorite franchise?
I've never played resident evil, actually. But I know what Nemesis is, and what he can do. The idea of THAT getting pallet looped by teenagers doesn't sound right.
-
No thank you. Personally I don't want to see Nemesis or Mr. X get pallet looped
-
Outlast DLC with Richard Trager as the killer. I know a lot of people prefer Chris Walker but Trager is funnier, scarier, and a better villain overall. What with his giant, nasty toilet scissors. Plus I feel like they could do more with him than with Chris.
The problem I see with this is that it would mean another indoor map. Because indoor maps always go well in DBD, right?

My best moment has to go to a deathslinger game back in april. This was on ps4.
It was the end of the match, i was going after a survivor who had teabagged all game (just to clarify, if someone teabags, I will go out of my way to make sure that person in particular doesn't escape. I don't care so much about winning, I take the death of a teabagger as win) The perks I was using were Barbecue, Nurse's, Monitor, and STBFL.
She was running towards the exit gate so I shot her, pulled her as far as I could and injured her. Then I broke chase and hid myself to lower my terror radius, reloaded and approached the exit gate, where she was being healed.
I aimed at her aura and, at max full range of my gun, came around a corner, shot her and pulled her out of the exit gate. She dc'd and one of the other survivors messaged me saying they quote "Bursted out laughing" when I shot her.
One of the most satisfying moments I've ever had.

Balance changes need to be made to swf.
Moris and Keys need to be changed.
Many maps need balancing like Ormond, Haddonfield, and Fractured Cowshed.
Newest killer bug that prevents you from hooking, vaulting, and breaking pallets needs to be fixed.

Not on console he ain't, just as Nurse is not. Even with hundreds of hours of practice with either, the frame drops of an Xbox will just crush your soul with these two killers.
Tell that to SupaAlf, best Nurse on PS4.
-
I got reported for "unsportsmanlike behavior" because a survivor dc'd first chase and i didn't take pity on the survivors and let them do a gen before continuing regular play. I got reported for not going easy.
-
An idea I had was just make it so the more survivors are in a party together, the fewer perks they can use:
2-man swf - 4 perks each
3-man swf - 3 perks each
4-man swf - 2 perks each

A few times when I've been playing Oni recently, my power bar will become completely full, but I won't be able to activate blood fury or absorb any more blood
N/A
Every 10 games or so
This just happened to me. I was at Lery's and I only got to use it twice before it bugged out. Everyone escaped and I depipped.
Not much you can do with Oni without his power.
-
Discordance, Pop Goes The Weasel, Surveillance, Barbecue & Chili.
-
I love Supernatural but Sam and Dean are the last people I want to see in this game. They've taken down monsters much bigger than the DBD killers.
-
Silent gen jockey perks - Sprint Burst, Poised, Fixated, Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Resilience, Stake Out, Spine Chill.
Meta Build perks - Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, Iron Will, Sprint Burst, Inner Strength.
For shits and Giggles - Head On, Quick & Quiet, Inner Strength, Decisive Strike (or) Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Tenacity, Flip-Flop
-
Without extra hatchets=balanced
With 3 hatchets=ridiculous
It's balanced because you can insta down, but you only get 1 chance and if you miss, you become the worst killer in the game, huntress without hatchets.

if you max it out yeah but you lose some control by doing that.
its not maxed out. it's at 80. and ive played with that for a while with success.
-
If you're such a god that nobody who isn't on pc can beat you, then just turn off crossplay.

Console killers are potatoes because the hardware they play on forces them to be. You would be a potato if your turn speed was slower than a survivor can 360 and your framerate was shifting between 5 to 20 fps.
I play on console and pc and my turn speed on ps4 is much faster than that.

No, I say the overall skill tier of console Killers is "potato" compared to the PC Killers.
That doesn't mean all console Killers are potatoes but surely most of them perform much worse with a controller compared to mouse & keyboard. Got that now?
When you say "most of them" do you mean like, 51% or 90% like, what do you mean most?
-
@Roobnus said:
Console Survivors will for sure disable crossplay simply because beating console Killers is so much easier.
Just think about it, you have 4 players pools of different strength:
PC Survivors -> normal players
Console Survivors -> normal players
PC Killers -> tryhards
Console Killers -> potatoes
Now you let the Console Survivors decide if they want to face "tryhards & potatoes" or only the "potatoes".
What do you think will happen?
So all console killers are potatoes?

was thinking outside her lullaby its an insta down, reward good throws
45+ meters? When it's so much easier to miss? With 1 hatchet? You'd essentially have to have an aura reading perk or have the best eyesight to actually get use out of that.
-
You people act like console players were never aware that pc nurses exist and are scary to face.
-
Well to answer your question as of July 2020 no official ruling has been made for the case since it was appealed.
I don't really want to see Jason because we have the Trapper who is supposed to be like Jason. Uses beartraps, wears a mask, has a machete-esque weapon. And even if they did add him, what would his power be?
And yeah, I know we have Hillbilly and Leatherface, but the only reason we have Hillbilly is because they wanted Leatherface from the beginning, but couldn't get the licensing. We never would've had the Hillbilly if they had been able to get Leatherface sooner.
-
All they need to do to Iridescent Head is make it so it's only 1-hit if the survivor is a certain distance away, like with Deathslinger's iridescent coin.
-
Lightborn already made it impossible to blind the killer. Unless of course the killer stood still for like 4 or 5 seconds and never looked up or down. So flashlights were already useless against lightborn.
-
Huntress is not op at all. All that needs to be changed is Iridescent Head, since it's stupid when paired with infantry belt.
Iridescent Head by itself, is balanced. And Infantry Belt by itself, is balanced. Together, they are not.
All they need to do is make it so her hatchets are 1-hit down if the survivor's are a certain distance away, like the deathslinger's iridescent coin.
-
Nurse and Hag least common, Spirit and (for me) Legion most common.

Hmm this seems very challenging since I am going for very far shots. I like how you think sir thanks for the suggestion.
I's not as hard as it seems. As long as you can keep the survivor's auras in the center od your screen, and you aren't too far away, you'll get them.
100% of the time it works 75% of the time.
-
(you kind of need rotten fields for this to work, but any map that isn't too open can work)
Deathslinger: Barbecue & Chili, A Nurse's Calling, Monitor & Abuse, Save The Best For Last.
Find someone, hook them, look for people on generators with barbecue, remember where they are, and snipe them in the corn before they see or hear you. It's great and unexpected when it works out,
His terror radius is naturally smaller and quieter, and monitor & abuse will allow you to shoot people through the corn at the edge of his terror radius.
Iridescent Coin is good with this but if you do use it, I'd suggest also bringing in the grisly chain add-on.
-
They wont lock survivors because survivors don't have exclusive abilities like killers. Unfortunately this means that if I load into a match as the hag, and there are 3 or 4 flashlights, I either have to put on Franklin's, or deal with it.
-
Wraith - Predator
Huntress - The Most Dangerous Game (Maybe)
Deathslinger - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. (or any western movie)

He is strong, he is not broken. He is an M1 killer out of his power but very strong in his power. This means he is both fun to play as because of that power rush you get and fun to play against because of the difficulty and the different mechanics. No nerfs are needed, a killer doesn't need to have many restrictions to be considered "balanced".
Also don't use that "my friend" excuse, no one posts an idea like this in a forum if they really dislike it/think it is stupid or whatever. If you want to share your idea be open to criticism.
I play a lot of Oni on PS4. I do think he's fine as is. You can think I'm using a "my friend" excuse, but I'm not. I was playing a match against Oni with some friends and one of them suggested that. So, after the match, i opened my laptop to get other opinions on it. I've made other discussions with ideas I had, and taken criticism for them, this one was not my idea.
-
85% on killer and survivor.
-
If you're competitive, spirit. But I'd suggest Demogorgon. I think he's a lot more fun.
-
If he needs a buff to his power, what do you propose? I think he's fine as is.
-
Actually you CAN flashlight blind the spirit at pallets, but you have to start blinding her before she starts breaking the pallet. Same as with hag.
-
Give it 5 matches. It'll change.
