As much as this community loves simplification, keys and moris aren't "the same thing", and this kind of suggestion only makes any sense if you keep pretending that they are.
Both skip core mechanics of the game and are negative to the overall heath of a match.
I care not for the "apples to oranges" comparison but they should both be reworked or removed.

Please continue to do this pointless animation which reduces your potential bloodpoint gain or rank increase! :)

I hear people talk about these absurb wait times but for whatever reason, I've never really experienced it (Xbox).
As killer, it is virtually instantaneous at this point. As a survivor, there has been an extended wait time compared to previous times but for me it's generally 1-5 minutes.
I don't know if it's a rank thing (I'm generally bouncing between purple and red) or location (middle of the US probably helps) but I've never ran into these double digit wait times so many talk about here.
I agree with you.
While I hardly play much, all my killer queues are 0-2m and all my survivor queues (solo survivor) are 1-5m.
Its very rare I get a queue that last beyond the 5m mark.

Yeah, because everyone’s first few perks from level 1-10 are always DS, Unbreakable, Adrenaline...
The point isn't that your first perks are X,Y,Z (as I mentioned luck or who knows whatever manipulation people will find) but that you could re-roll several times until you get such a perk loadout.
Take a look at one of gaming biggest communities, speed-running. The whole point of speed-runners is to find the fastest way to reach the goal (be it 100% completion or simply finishing main missions/story) by any means necessary (unless otherwise listed). Many of these speed-runner find and exploit every little thing in the game, many of which are posted for others to build upon and replicate.
My point with the speed-running community is that people are always trying to find the fastest way to complete goals and if a system that rewarded BP with a roulette existed it really wouldn't take long for like minded people to find the work around.
I'm not against the idea of a roulette, in fact I'd love a random option for loadouts, but if there is an extra reward added to this feature it will be exploited without a doubt.

I was reading through the hatch tech post (suggest you check it out). And the amount of people defending a exploit surprised me. I saw "well if you play this killer im dcing" so i can't play a killer who was made and put in the game without you dcing? Alright. And another one was slugging for the 4k (which personally i play both sides slugging is boring) BUT slugging is not exploiting it is a strategy just like camping. Should i dc because you keep going to a god loop over and over? And dcing to basically let your friend go free is considered cheating and a exploit. I dont like being left on the ground but i dont blame the killer for wanting to maxamize his points. We have unbreakable and adrenaline for a reason. I normally play with one other person and we don't do that i personally run unbreakable just in case and if the killers slugging i might tell my friend just to hide if he can.Anyways those are just my thoughts id love to hear other peoples thank you and have a nice day! (Just incase people wanna say "probably isnt even red ranks "here)

I dont understand why knowledge of a secret offering is shown before a match. If people get nervous and disconnect when they see a secret offering just dont show them in any fashion until after the match is over.
I'd like all offerings to be hidden with the exception of match wide BP offerings (Ex: Bloody Streamers/event offerings)
Survivors will obviously still see all the survivor offerings.

Here me out I know killer main and even good survivors say this is stupid and a bait but NOED as we all know is a killers best friend POINT BLANK PERIOD. If it’s an offering is won’t be as oppressive and it work be seen in every game due to it being and offering. Making it an offering would have the killer not being able to use extra blood points or have a helping offering like putrid oak.
I'd argue BBQ is a killers best friend, I mean how else am I going to grind those BPs? NOED only gets used if I'm making a all 1 hit down gimmick build.

Can we just get the Samination loading screens already!

@Accullla said:
I agree to an extent, but it's not as simple as you might think- there's quite a lot to consider:
- How long do you give the player to reconnect? Some platforms are extremely laggy (PS4) and excluding queue time and lobby timer it will take a minimum of 5 minutes to load from tally screen back into a game. By the time you can get back into the match most of the time it will already be over.
- Do players deserve to be allowed to reconnect? In theory, yes if it's not their fault and their connection just cut off. However, regardless of who's at fault they still most likely ruined the match, so wouldn't it be better for the common good if people with inconsistent connections didn't play the game (at least until they fixed their connection)?
- What will happen to the in-game character of someone currently in the process of re-connecting - will there be a still husk there? Will the other players be able to interact with it? How do you make it so that other players don't get confused by the fact that there is someone in the match who might or might not come back. If it's a survivor, do you hook them as killer? If it's a killer, do you do gens as survivor, or wait for them to come back? Or does the match just freeze for a set amount of time whilst waiting for that person to potentially reconnect?
- and so on..
Lets not forget the age old exploit of pulling the plug to make it seem like an "accident" when you want to DC....

You can't get banned for having a bug/glitch happen to you. The only way such a step would be taken is if you continued to exploit it.
Seeing as you had the experience and then made an attempt to report it you need not worry.

A buff to small game for knowing how many totems have been cleansed has been discussed alot before, and I wanted to know if any devs have said they were looking in to it or not considering it. I wanted to know as my friends have told me detectives hunch is better, but I don't want to buy Tapp if small game gets that buff.
Detectives hunch is alright but you only get to see the aura of the totems after a gen pops, were as Small game lets you get that notification (and very easy to find where) anytime you look in the direction of a totem (short cooldown...honestly gets annoying when it pops while cleansing a totem...several times...). It just feels more consistent and even nets you the bonus of indicating Trapper/Hag traps are near.
While I think both can work Small game if just more reliable and can also be used as a super quick indication of safe spots to run when versing a Trapper/Hag, as it will indicate to you a trap is near allowing you to avoid a patch of grass or pallet OR know that a patch of grass/pallet is safe.

Just like brokendownpalace said, with the implementation of higher console sensitivity (up to 200% I believe) we might actually see Huntress and Nurse even creep into the game a little.
While FPS will still beat the crap out of us, a sensitivity increase will do wonders to make these killers usable.

Let me explain:
I wanted to farm some bloodpoints so I decided to use all the bloodpoints offerings that I have on every killer. I choosedto play with ghostface because I like him.
In my match there was a toxic player that was using object of obsetion to emote me and stuff.
They repaired all the gens but I downed him and hooked him. He got unhoocked and I down 2 survivors. (A Claudette and him). He saved from a flashlight and he started again the emotes in front of exit gate.
After the match he sent me friend request (because I have this option that you have to add me if you want to message me) The request had the message "poor ######### ghostface".
After that I reported him to PlayStation. I didn't even answer him. I know that he will get banned. I honestly don't know why did he do that. I didn't tunneled. I didn't facecamped.
After that I hate playing as killer. And if I do I check the lobbies. If I see survivors with cosmetics or survivors that are friends I leave.
What would you do in this situation???
I send one of these with no context and just block or ignore them.
Works every time.

I reported this Claud who kept blocking me to the Oni, and purposefully had me downed just so she could farm me for points. I was then tunnelled the whole game and ran him until exit gates. She also got me killed (by blocking shack), and proceeded to teabag at the gates. I don't blame the Oni one bit for killing me, but she could've left me alone and I would've easily survived the game. Why on earth would she ruin my experience (it was mine ONLY btw, and I've never met her before) just for her points. Is this normal in solo survivor?
Did Senpai notice her? It seems like you did and thus validated her Yandere urges.

Thing is, theyre just cosmetics.
Listen, as far as Bandaid fixes go, its kept the game together so far. Some of those fixes have been replaced by actual changes.
As far as chase themes go? I would rather be allowed to edit my music file for DBD to use the chase music I want.
"Listen as far as Baindaid fixes go, its kept the game together so far."
And that is why it will continue to do so. While I get many people will complain about anything for any reason, its the complacency of others that lead (for lack of a universal name) developer of goods to no longer feel like quality matters.
I mean why actually spend time and resources to fix something if people will just accept our broken mess?

I know im not only one that believes it take WAY TO LONG to wiggle out of a killers grasp. By the time im actually able to wiggle out, the killer is pretty much able to walk past 2-3 different hooks, all of which he can put you on. Wiggling out takes 15-20 seconds give or take, and the i strongly believe that both the distance between hooks, and the amount of hooks on every map doesn't justify how long it takes to wiggle out. Its completely unfair and pretty much defeats the purpose of the wiggle out mechanic
Wiggle👋is👋not👋an👋escape👋mechanic👋
The only reason a survivor CAN wiggle is so the killer cannot bring them to the basement every single time or so the killer cannot LITERALLY hold them hostage. It was never meant to be an escape mechanic but with teamwork or specific builds it can be made possible to escape via wiggle. I'm going to assume you are new to DBD (based on your forum account) but please take the time to learn about the game before blasting complaints into the forums.

I can't stress enough how easy it is to ruin a survivor's game by remembering their name and then playing extremely toxic the next time you play against them. The survivor can't even check who they're playing against so why is it fair the killer can see them?

To start off I know this will never happen just what I think the perfect version of this game is. Gens are a boring activity and just take away from the horror aspect of the game. There are 2 things survivors enjoy doing and that is running and hiding. Then there are 2 things killers enjoy doing and that is catching and finding. Gens ruin the experience of all of them. Matches should just be a set time of 15 or 20 minutes before the exit gates become available to open.
My Dad has been playing hide and seek with me for the past 28 years. While it was fun at first I really just want the game to end.

Is it true that it counters the Trapper's traps? As in, when you step in one the Trapper won't get a notification?
Also, does it still counter Doctor and Clown's notifications?
I'm guessing you already got your answer (didn't read everything) but while calm spirit will prevent any screaming, the trap "snapping" sound will still give the Trapper a heads up (explosion) that his trap was triggered.
To add to this even though you won't scream when getting hit by Clowns gas it will still cause the point icon to appear on the Clowns screen. This goes with Doctor as well so if they are paying attention they will still know they hit someone, they just won't see the notification as a "explosion".

Jesus Christ....
YouTube
"No Blink Nurse"
You'd be surprised how many people get a 4k at red Ranks.
And typically, you want to use your power as Nurse as soon as you SEE someone, but you can literally walk to a survivor and they'll get caught either way.
Spirit gets hits without the use of her power.
Hag gets hits without the use of her power.
Huntress gets hits without the use of her power.
Deathslinger gets hits without the use of his power.
All 110% speed killers. Making a 110% killer with a 1 hit ability would be insanely overpowered.
So your defense is that YouTubers (people who play this game for a living) can pull this off with somewhat consistency thus its powerful? What about the thousands of people who can't or the matches they don't get the 4k? If the argument is "they can do it" then by that logic a killer standing still pretending to go AFK can also get free hits...
This seems like cherry picking.
Nurse moves slower than survivor base speed thus a non-potato survivor can run away from her indefinitely.
At bloodlust 1 she moves the same speed as a survivor meaning you can still get away easily if you don't cut corners at a worst angle than Nurse.
At bloodlust 2 nurse can finally gain distance on you, however the distance will be lost with the use of a single pallet toss. If the Nurse breaks that pallets she loses all bloodlust.
Anyway this thread isn't about Nurse but about the idea OP had regarding a killer with the specified abilities listed. My answer to that is, no they wouldn't be OP but they would be boring as hell and not an improvement to the game on either side.

eagerly awaiting the people who dont know how a discussion works and instandly bring up "WELL THEN X HAS TO HAPPEN TO DS" or whatever.
On the actual idea: it needs tweaking, 10 seconds for every totem remaining, so at max 50 seconds if not a single totem was destroyed, (which if there was any hex totem, it most def will be) that really is not enough time
EDIT: one of the big powers of NoeD is the all or nothing type of principle, if you do 4 totems but cant find the last 1, you have a problem because that 1 totem will be NoeD, with this change and the 10 second timer...who cares about that last totem? 10 seconds of avoiding a killer is not a problem apart from a rare case of the killer being right up your behind at the moment of the final gen
And can survivors do something then to reduce the timer? every totem destroyed after the final gen will remove 10 seconds? or is the idea that they should cleance all totems preferably before the final gen (as kinda is for NoeD now)?
Also I Think we have to be careful for speed increases, again this can be tweaked sure but you hook a survivor at the start, that gives you then 0.75% x 5 = 4.5% extra movement speed, you hook another and that can be another 4.5%, combine that with Play With Your Food and you will be a speed demon very soon I would think.
Overall it seems like it would be a fun idea but you have to be careful with increasing speed for killers
Speed build Wraith with full NOED movement stacks!
I just want to see this be a thing so I can make race-car noises again.

I'm not saying that developers should turn off the ban system for those who have internet problems. I wanted to convey that people should not be kicked out of the match at the slightest loss of connection. I repeat: in other online games I am not thrown out of matches because of the same issue. I have a problem with crashes only in Dead By Daylight.
If you were not "thrown out" and had a reconnect timer of sorts to get back into a match that would become highly exploitable.
Imagine right before getting hit the survivor suddenly vanishes. Killer moves on then suddenly "poof" they are back and running away.
Sadly this game could not have such a system for reconnecting because it wouldn't work with this type of game.
Now if I am wrong in my interpretation/wording of what you said (quoted above) please correct me or if you had an idea in mind please let me know. While I get the situation is frustrating its the reality of things with the technology we have at our disposal today.
