I didn't see him DCing there with any other killer. Only with Huntress.

Yes, I say that Plague is better than Huntress. On a bad map Plague is still a 115% speed killer with really good tracking and slow down via perks. Huntress on a bad map is a 110% speed killer with a very situational or non existent power. Yes Plague will get looped on survivor sided map, but Huntress can literally be ran around for whole minutes on the buildings from half of the current maps, I didn't see a live stream from Scott or Umbra where they didn't talk about the "infinites" for Huntress. And no, I am not talking about the infinites from Haddonfied, I am talking about the infinites from half of the maps which only affect Huntress.

So you compare Huntress with Cannibal ? This won't help your arguments.

I don't understand your point, I mean, yes, Freddy can be demolished by a good team, every killer can, but that doesn't mean he is weaker than Huntress. I can say "Cannibal can get demolished by a good team, just like Hillbilly can, so Cannibal is just as good as him".

Scott has DC’ed as many killers on The Game. His last game of the night on his last stream was him DC’ing as Demogorgon on The Game. I watch his streams. I’ve seen it multiple times.

You said that Umbra basically said she can’t do much because she was Torment Creek. What I said was TRYING to say is that some matches are already predetermined...like Leatherface on Ormond, I can’t do much there. I never compared Huntress and Leatherface skill wise my dude. I was only using Leatherface as an example of when you can’t do much if you get a specific map.

Huntress is map dependent, yes. Experienced Huntress players can STILL win on these maps. Of course you can’t use your power, some killers just can’t. You can’t use Billy’s chainsaw on all loops. You can’t vomit on survivors on some loops if they hug the loop.

Plague is not better than Huntress, period. I main Plague and I know she doesn’t have the potential Huntress has. It’s A LOT easier and less skillful to hit survivors with vomit that it is a hatchet.

I wouldn’t be opposed to any sort of Huntress buffs that would make her less map dependent though.

I’ve already stated what I wanted to. Believe what you want but I still believe Huntress is #5. Have your own opinion about it. I’ve already said my piece.

"We"? Guess you never played against good Freddy's (Since after rework many old Freddy's main left him behind) Skilled Freddy is way bigger treat, he easily got better mindgames, map pressure, stealth potential, and just slowing game down with microsleeps.

Nothing Freddy does is “skilled”. If you can moonwalk at pallets and set traps/fake pallets then you can do fine. It’s basically the question of “Are you a good killer” not “Are you a skilled Freddy.”

Huntress requires much more skill than Freddy does. You can be a good killer but are you a good Huntress?

I said they were willing to DC on these maps, not that they DC. I heard Scott a lot of times saying that he would DC on "insert map" if he wouldn't do it so many times already and I saw Umbra completely getting butchered on Coldwind Farm and saying "this was Torment Creek bro, what did you expect".

I didn't see a single Freddy DCing on The Game because it was an "unfun map".

And you don't understand my point. It doesn't matter that Huntress is better at her very strongest when she can get to that point only on a very few maps, while Freddy and even Plague and Demogorgon are much more consistent than her. She relies too much on maps RNG and on maps offerings from both sides and the simple fact that 2000 hours mains Huntresses are gonna DC on certain maps, because of how trash she is on them, show that she is just too inconsistent to be worth of top 5 anymore, especially when they keep adding bad maps for her. Literally every map released after Father's Campbell is a garbage one for Huntress.

You know that Scott DC’s on The Game regardless of the killer right? It isn’t just Huntress.

Huntress IS inconsistent but are you trying to say Plague is better than Huntress because she has more consistent maps? I would say Plague is one of my main killers I play. She is similar to Huntress but she’s not BETTER than Huntress. In that case I can make an argument that Plague is better than Freddy.

Also I do tend to say that to myself with certain maps. “It’s Ormond and I’m playing Leatherface...what do I really expect to happen.” Some killers just can’t do well on certain maps without playing a bit more aggressive and sometimes even then they can’t win against a really good team.

You can agree to disagree but Freddy can still get demolished by a good team just like Huntress can.

  • @yandere777 Of course she’s limited due to maps...that’s well known. It’s just that I’ve seen a lot of Huntress players do well on her bad maps despite them being pretty bad for her.

Again...I’m not a Huntress main though.

  • @yandere777 said:

Also realistically speaking here, how much maps are out there that huntress can show 100% of her power. And how much limit her?

    MacMillan- They’re good

    Autohaven- Her best maps

    Coldwind- Not great

Asylum- Father Campbell's Chapel is perfect. Disturbed Ward is decent except the middle building.

    Haddonfield- Is that a question?

Swamp- Pale Rose is fine, Grim Pantry is bad.

    Treatment Theater- Terrible

Red Forest- They aren’t bad, but they’re too big for Huntress to apply pressure.

    Badham- Pretty decent

The Game- Not the worst but it is still bad

    Yamaoka- Terrible

    Ormond- Terrible

    Hawkins- Literally the worst

Somebody should say it to you

    Basic Freddy < Skilled huntress

    Skilled Freddy >> Skilled Huntress

Freddy is doing well on every map, he is treath for other players, he got a lot more potential.

You reeeeeally think a Skilled Freddy is better than a Skilled Huntress? Yeah we’re gonna have to agree to disagree on that one.

  • @Marcus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/755192#Comment_755192

Scott and Umbra, the ones who constantly DC on maps like Haddonfield, The Game, Lery's, possible even Hawkins now and who are willing to DC even on maps like Coldwind Farm, Family Residence or Mount Ormond. I don't care about how strong her power is when I can literally loop her for whole minutes on certain buildings like Wretched Shop or Groaning Storehouse. A killer which literally isn't allowed to play on certain maps isn't top 5 IMO.

Haddonfield has literal infinities for ALL killers except Nurse and Spirit.

Hawkins is a congested indoor map. Yeah...it’s bad for Huntress.

They don’t DC on The Game because it’s bad for Huntress but because it is a very boring map. It’s pallet kicking simulator.

I have never seen either one DC on Coldwind Farm.

I’m not gonna deny the fact that she can get looped on certain maps and tiles. She can feel powerless at times.

She did get a slight buff though because she now had a directional lullaby.

Huntress at her very strongest is easily better than Freddy. Freddy has more consistency though. Huntress has flaws but a good Huntress is scary and her at her strongest has more potential than Freddy does IMO. Agree to disagree on that.

However I suck at Huntress and I do not main either Huntress or Freddy. I find Freddy a bit boring and I do not like the layout of the dream world.

  • I could understand if you’d put him above Plague, Huntress, and Demo but Freddy is nowhere near Hag. Hag is easily #3 or #4.

  • Best killer: Spirit or Plague

Best survivor: Hard choice but I gotta go with Feng. I also kinda like the simplicity in Megs’ story.

    Worst killer: Demo’s is underwhelming

    Worst survivor: Probably Nancy

  • @Blueberry I can max out points with Plague but it isn’t very common that I do.

I agree that her bloodpoint value should increase. Demogorgon gets 800 points for a “Shred” attack and Spirit gets 600 points for a “Grudge” attack. Plague only gets 300 points for Corrupt Purge which sometimes you won’t ever get to use. It’s also really hard to pip with Plague at red ranks.

  • I see Plague about as much as any other killer that isn’t Spirit or Ghostface.

What I normally see in red ranks...

    1. Spirit
    2. Ghostface
    3. Everybody else
    4. Nurse
    5. Clown

I’ve played Plague a lot since her release and I play on PS4 at red ranks (sadly).

  • @Marcus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/755018#Comment_755018

Huntress undeniably top 5 ? She gets rekt by 80% of the maps. Good survivors can easily turn her on a 110% speed killer without a power on anything but Blood Lodge.

So are we just gonna pretend that a GOOD Huntress doesn’t exist? Players like Umbra and Scott can do well on pretty much any map as Huntress.

Yeah she’s got A LOT of bad maps for her, almost as if the devs just forget about Huntress.

Her power is super strong in the right hands and most experienced Huntress players know what they can and cannot throw over.

I still don’t think Freddy is better than a good Huntress player.

  • Plague is highly underrated as if you cleanse you’re screwed and if you don’t cleanse you’re screwed. You’re either permanently injured or she has a ranged attack which is pretty easy to hit.

Most of the time you don’t wanna waste time breaking survivors, you wanna let them get passively sick over time. She’s just so great at slowing down the game, she also doesn’t exactly have a bad map for her.

My main build on her is Ruin, BBQ, Thantaphobia, and Monitor and Abuse. Dying Light also works well to immensely slow down the game. To be honest @DudeDelicious can probably tell you more. They’re a great Plague main.

    1. Nurse
    2. Spirit
    3. Billy
    4. Hag
    5. Huntress
    6. Plague
    7. Demogorgon
    8. Freddy

He is between 6-8 for me. I feel as though the top 5 are undeniable. Plague, Demo, and Freddy are interchangeable to me. I just have more experience with Plague so I put her above the other two :/

  • @arslaN said:

I went against a mint rag, make your choice hag recently. It wasn't fun lol

There is not much you can do against that if the Hag is already far enough away. You either save right when she hooks the other survivor and hope you can loop the Hag or wait until she is gone pop her trap and hope she doesn’t immediately teleport (if they are running Mint Rag then they usually won’t teleport until you make the save) and THEN grab the survivor when the phantasm disappears.

Or ya know...hope you brought in a flashlight.

  • I will place a max of one trap at the hook. Hag players who place all ten traps at the hook and STILL patroll the area are either new or terrible.

Hag’s whole playstyle revolves around returning to the hook because that is her strong suit. If you’re not playing Hag that way you aren’t playing her to her best. Her playstyle is campy and being a tunneler.

Hag is easily the best basement guard besides Leatherface. Huntress and Plague (with Corrupt Purge) are also great.

Saying all that about Hag though I hope this doesn’t mean players are asking for any nerfs.

  • Is it just on the PTB? Because I can still smack on the hook on console.

  • I’ve been regularly playing Plague and I get a lot less hatemail when playing Plague compared to Spirit. Mainly I’ll either get a simple “GG” or something usually nice.

People really just hate Spirit. That’s where a majority of my hatemail comes from :/

Old Legion ignored 2/3 of these things and he was still very much middle C tier

    Imagine comparing Legion to Nurse.

Nurse still has more map pressure than Legion.

Nurse still has insane chase potential

She literally blinks through pallets, vaults, and walls...never seen Legion go through any of that.

As long as Nurse can ignore ALL survivor defenses she will be the best killer in the game because no other killer can do that except Spirit. Spirits power STILL has a bigger cooldown than Nurse and Spirit has collision...Nurse does not.

Not really. Depip squad highlights that 1 potato only causes a loss if the rest refuse to let that person die.

They do not save unless it is absolutely confirmed safe.

Assuming that occurs in a good group there is not enough time for most killers to win the match.

A killer is not "viable" if its only agency in a match is dependant on whether the opposing team lets them have a chance.

Most SWF groups are overly altruistic. A majority don’t play like a de-pip squad. Honestly a majority a casual friends playing together, most don’t play sweaty tournament style because that’s very boring for both sides.

That’s why most of my matches I focus on that one potato Jake so I can save the Kate who knows how to loop for last so I have all the time in the world to chase her around the map. If you get one survivor out of the match and there is 4-5 gens left I pretty much win.

  • @PoisonN said:

I'm starting to thinking that Plague is. I know I know, she is loopable and bla bla bla but she has potential with Thanatophobia + Dyinglight to slow the game!

Plague is really a dark horse. She can immensely slow down the game with Thantaophobia and Dying Light and start trying to force survivors to cleanse and then when they do you have an even stronger power.

I’m telling you...she’s easily high mid-tier. I’m starting to think she’s just as good as Huntress/Demogorgon.

Freddy is also pretty strong with Dying Light/Swing Chains/Paint Brush.

  • @claudemonet said:

I believe you would have no kills if you faced really good SWF team.

There are hard limitation on the walking killer like doc and gorgan. So if survivor didn't make stupid mistake then you barely have no chance to snowball. I literally played with the SWF team everyday before the patch, and so many times the game ended in 5min or so. What you got was just 4 ######### spamming their flashlight and T bag.

How often do you face a god-like SWF team though? That’s the point. You RARELY face actual good survivors. Red ranks does not mean they are good.

And yes...I HAVE beaten good SWF teams with Plague. They all tend to start cleansing after their second hook because they are an insta-down.

Just because I’ve beaten teams with Plague doesn’t mean that they were a bad group of players

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/94071/are-nurse-and-spirit-really-the-only-viable-killers-at-red-ranks

That's the main problem. You mentioned it yourself. Every killer CAN do well in red ranks. But some killers are very likely to get stomped, because they got a low skill cap. Nurse and Spirit got a very high skill cap. Huntress and Billy got a high skill cap too, but not as high as the survivor skill cap.

Leatherface is more likely to get stomped than Nurse...yes.

Is it an unwinnable situation because you played a killer with a low skill cap? Absolutely not. All it takes is one survivor mistake. One potato on the team to win the match for the killer.

The reason Spirit and Nurse are so highly regarded is that they don’t rely on survivors mistakes. Still doesn’t mean that they are the ONLY killers you can win as against optimal survivors.

Every killer is viable in the right hands. If they can gets downs, they can win.

  • @PalletOrWhat said:

I would kinda agree that Nurse and Spirit are the only viable killers IF you face 4 really really good survivors. Lets be honest here. How often do you get these ridiculous good teams? Maybe 1/10 chance? I do well with Demo, Freddy and all the other killers like clown or piggy on red ranks.

If you are facing off against four survivors who are SWF and who have perks like DS, Adrenaline, Balanced Landing, OoO, and Borrowed Time with four insta-heals on a map like Haddonfield then I’d agree that Spirit and Nurse are really the only option to go with. Simply because they ignore survivor defenses and quickly end chases.

As you said though...how often do killers really face these kind of groups? It is a rarity. Usually there is ALWAYS a weak link to the group.

A basic match at red ranks even a killer like Doctor can do well.

I imagine The Huntress will lose her infamous exhaustion add ons, and maybe Iri heads won’t work with belts anymore.

I don’t think they’ll get rid of the exhaustion add-on. If anything they’ll make her exhaustion add-on a higher rarity and rework Iridescent Head. That’s just my thinking though.

  • So does this also mean that Huntress is gonna be getting some add-ons changes as well? She only has one ultra-rare and a TON of yellow add-ons.

  • I’ve seen a few posts that players think Corrupt Purge is OP and broken (spoiler: it’s not). I still see “Nerf Nurse” and “Nerf Spirit” posts almost every day. Gets a little tiring.

I honestly feel a little bad for Spirit mains like @Rin_is_my_waifu @Blueberry it gets tiresome to here that over and over again. I think Spirit is boring to play against but she doesn’t need any nerfs.

Saying all that...I don’t think Plague is in any real trouble. She simply can’t deal with an SWF group as effectively as the other top tier killers. If anything Spirit is gonna receive the most backlash along with Billy and Huntress :/

  • If there was an S tier I’d still put her there. She still ignores all survivors defenses.

  • @sorrowen said:

We shall see how it actually plays on paper its not promising

I just wanna be optimistic. I really think players are overreacting. Nurse is still gonna be the best killer.

  • @sorrowen said:

A killer is already on the clock without having to wait on a cooldown timer. 3 seconds is 3 seconds you aren't doing anything

You do know that they already stated that you’ll already very nearly have a blink charged by the time you’re out of fatigue right?

Plus she has add-ons to further reduce the time.

  • @sorrowen said:

Nah man the 3 second cooldown will ruin nurse as its in between blinks just use sprint burst and she is screwed :D

Have you played the PTB before all of us? Do you know for SURE that Nurse is gonna be trash?

I’m pretty sure the three second recharge is gonna start right when she goes into fatigue. Damn, if we can’t wait three seconds (even less time if it starts at Nurses fatigue) blink there is an issue

  • @PoisonN said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/741987#Comment_741987

They act like it's so easy to play with Plague against SWF and big maps... I just laugh

Why is Plague even in the conversation of being nerfed? She’s mid-tier.

  • You guys whine so much. How exactly does this make Nurse bad? Just because she can’t blink across the entire map doesn’t mean she’s terrible. Her add-ons actually CHANGE the way she can be played and adds more variety to her.

I’m not exactly on board with a change to Nurse but this doesn’t even look bad.

As long as the Nurse can blink, she’s still gonna be the best killer in the game hands down. I’m pretty damn sure all the Nurse mains aren’t concerned.

What a bunch of crybabies. That’s all everybody does is complain, whine, and bicker about something stupid.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/740739#Comment_740739

Even if you dont use all her power she still is forced to wait longer then she used her phasewalk. I dont understand how survivors who have gone against the spirit still fall for the stand still tech.... and that's my point exactly a player needs to know the basics of playing the game and play at an above average skill level to catch someone at 110% ms when outside of phasewalk. Every killer has their own broken combos of addons mate, spirits are not as broken as people feel... she still requires 2 hits each time and the only 1 shot potential that she can get (which is gen grabber) can be denied...

Because some people are potatoes and they fall for Spirits “MiNdGaMeS”

Of course you’re not going to instantly pick up a killer and learn them right off the bat. Spirit isn’t a “noob friendly” killer to learn because she requires tracking which most newer players aren’t great with. She isn’t the best killer to start with.

She isn’t very hard to learn though. It won’t take incredibly long to be good with her especially if you have good headphones.

Spirit’s purple add-ons are stupidly strong. She is literally as strong as Nurse because she can have map control AND pressure in a chase. I’m not saying they need a nerf (they do not). I’m just stating the obvious that they are probably the strongest add-ons in the game. Spirit is right up there with Nurse and Huntress of VERY powerful add-ons.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/740692#Comment_740692

Spirit is forced to not use her power with a cooldown that lasts for 15 seconds compared to 5 seconds, not even a full 5 seconds of movement since the power starts to be used as soon as you start to charge it.... 15 seconds is almost 1/4th of a gen, meaning the time outside of phase is just as critical and requires the basics.... if you're thinking any noob can just hop on spirit an 4k because they have expensive electronics on their heads you're sadly mistaking.... the noobies dont even know how to counter 360.

Who uses Spirits entire power in a chase though? You have a 15 second cooldown IF you’re constantly using her entire power bar. Any competent Spirit player isn’t going to use her entire power bar if they don’t need to.

Even without her power she can make survivors think she does by just standing still. They don’t know when she is or isn’t phasing. She’s still a 110% MS killers. She’s not helpless without her power like Nurse.

Spirit is just basic tracking and listening for injured moans and footsteps. She isn’t a complicated killer to learn.

Plus her add-ons boost her viability. Pair the Yakukoye Amulet with the Wakazashi Saya and tell me the outcome. A monkey can win with those add-ons.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/740655#Comment_740655

How is it that way though?..... if a killer is having trouble with lunge distance or having trouble hiding red glow, playing pallets effectively a new "good pair of headphones just isnt going to boost your skill to effective level play you need... that just doesnt make sense. That's like saying "get a better keyboard and you'll be better at your office job because you'll type faster" or "get this brand of controller and you'll have faster reaction time on COD or overwatch"

That just doesnt make sense at all

Spirit doesn’t need to hide her red glow nor does she need to moonwalk at pallets. She can easily phase and catch survivors. If you can hear them well then you’re pretty solid.

Spirit is not a typical M1 killer where you have to play pallets and try to outplay the survivor. You play her similar to Nurse. If you’re playing pallets and moonwalking the same way you would a killer like Leatherface then you’re playing Spirit wrong.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    "Eat. My. Pallets."

When a survivor drops a pallet on a killer, he gains a sprintburst of 150% for 3 seconds. Cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds. No exhaustion.

Dammit, I was gonna say that one XD

  • Have a good pair of headphones and open up your ears. Now you win as Spirit.

  • What’s the issue with Meg’s red hair cosmetic? I’ve work that head piece since it was released and I LOVE the change they did to it.

Nea’s head piece looks better as does all of Kates head pieces (except for the P3. The old one looked better)

The only one I dislike is Claudette’s burgundy waves. That one is hideous now.

  • Because I’m a boosted Meg main who was fairly new at the time (I joined the forums in June 2018 and I started playing in March 2018) and I had no other name to think of and I didn’t wanna put my PSN name on the forums at the time.

I’m still here...a boosted Meg main so I guess I chose the right name.

  • I’ve seen quite a bit of Clown recently but usually I can go MONTHS without seeing a Clown. I am assuming I’ll see him more often due to the new Halloween skin he is getting.

I play on PS4 so I also rarely see Nurse.

  • You have to ask yourself these questions?

Do I like the killer or survivor?

Do I want the bloody cosmetics?

    Is it worth the grind?

Am I gonna play the killer or survivor?

I personally only prestige the character if I like them. I have seven survivors and seven killers at P3, but I only have six characters with every perk on them. It’s a very grindy process.

Survivors at P3: Meg, Claudette, Nea, Feng, Kate, Dwight, and Nancy

Killers at P3: Spirit, Hag, Plague, Myers, Huntress, Nurse, and Pig

I don’t even play Nurse or Huntress that often and I usually only play Myers and Pig for daily rituals :/

  • Clown is one of the few killers Monto has at P3. The only ones I ever saw that he had at P3 is Pig and Clown.

I don’t believe he has a “main” killer though. I think he said his favorite build is Bodyblocker Hag though.

  • @PoisonN said:

Because Spirit is on the same level against good SWF teams. They don't like strong killers. And yes, after the Nurse nerf they will nerf Spirit, and then survivors will jump at Billy and Plague

Plague? Who complains about Plague? I believe she’s a pretty strong killer if utilized correctly but Hag, Billy, Demogorgon, and Huntress are arguably stronger. I rarely see players complain that Plague is too strong.

  • @anarchy753 Myers has a 6 meter terror radius in EW I doesn’t he?

  • Look at Demogorgon...then look at Amanda. There shouldn’t be a question on why he is able to do it and why she isn’t.

    1. Demogorgon
    2. Hag
    3. Plague
    4. Spirit
    5. Huntress
  • Oh yeah...it’s hella boring. All I see are Spirit, Ghostface, and Legion. The three most boring killers in the game to face.

I do wish I saw more variety. When I see a different killer I really wanna savor the moment because I know next round I’m gonna see a Ghostface. His power is just so damn cheesy and uninteresting to face. I snooze.

  • Meg because when I first got into this game I thought I’d be able to outrun all the killers with her. I also dress in hoodies and comfortable pants most of the time so I guess resonated with her the most fashion wise.

I mained the counselor Tiffany on F13 and she’s basically the stealthy runner of the group and I thought that Meg would be the same way XD.

  • @PrincessPoop said:

I never thought I would be saying this, but I kinda wish Meg had also gotten an outfit so that the OG 4 could all have a blight costume.

I’m a little bit surprised that Meg has never gotten an event skin despite being the survivor with the most cosmetics in the game. Even in the charity case she had about 6-8 shirts/hoodies while all the other survivors didn’t NEARLY have as many.

To my knowledge...David, Kate, Claudette, Dwight, Feng, Ace, and now Jake have all had event cosmetics. I do honestly wish they released one for Meg this year alongside Jake. I’m willing to bet she’ll be the one they release next year.
